Chapter 1 - The train ride
They arrived at the train station in time, with all the delays on the way they never thought they would make it before eleven o'clock. They stepped on the train and searched for an empty cabin.
Almost all the cabins were full so they tried to find one they could join. As they passed one they heard loud laughing and looked inside of the cabin, three boys sat on the benches, it looked like they still had enough room.
"Excuse me but could my sister and I join you? All the other cabins are full. " A girl with platinum hair and green eyes and a few scars on her face asked. She was clutching to The Lord of the Rings three in one book and a beautiful Moon phoenix.
"Sure, you don't look like first years. " The boy with glasses and untamable black hair stated.
"That's because we are not sweetie. If we were firsties, I wouldn't be as hot as I am now. " replied a girl with strawberry blonde hair and gold highlights and pale gold eyes. She too came in and sat down with a phoenix but a sun phoenix one instead of a moon.
"A girl after my heart Prongs! I will never tease you again about Tiger-Lily, I now know how you feel. " The boy with long black hair and grey eyes says, falling dramatically into glasses' lap.
"Could the girl who shut Sirius up and her sister tell us their names? " The final boy with sandy blonde hair and forest green eyes and scars on his face who also was reading LOR.
"We will if the boys who let us in here tell us their names first." green eyes said.
"Well I am James Charlus Potter and the one who was on my lap is Sirius Orion Black. " Glasses said.
"Wait what do you mean 'was on your lap.' "Sirius asked James.
" I mean like this!" James said pushing Sirius off his lap the others and James laughed at him whilst he grumbled but sat next to James with still no problem.
"I am Remus John Lupin. " The boy with scars said.
(A/N can we just point out that Remus is pronounced Re mus, not Raymus like it is in the Harry Potter movies no it is like thepronunciationof Romulus and Remus)
" Well my name is Artemis Selene Greenleaf and my twin is Elanor Celeste Greenleaf. " The girl with scars also on her face.
"Wait, you're twins? You don't look a lot like each other?!!" Sirius said.
" What got a problem that we look a bit different and that I have scars that show I am a werewolf - Dang it. " Artemis shot back.
"Wait, you're a werewolf? "Remus questioned.
" Yeah she is and I am a dog animagus and she is also a wolf animagus. Got a problem with that?" Elanor growled.
"No, No, well it's that I am also a werewolf and Sirius is a dog and James a stag," Remus said.
"We also have nicknames. I'm Padfoot, James is Prongs and Remus is Moony. Do you have nicknames too, if not, can I name you guys?" Sirius interrupted.
The sound of Remus hitting Sirius up the head with the Daily Profit re-sounded around the cabin.
"Oooh that looks like fun, can I try?" Elanor asked.
Remus handed Elanor the newspaper and she also hit Sirius up the head.
"What is this pick on Sirius day?" Sirius cried, shielding his head from Eleanor's hits.
"Anyway what blood type are you just wondering I mean it doesn't matter to anyone here I mean me and Sirius are purebloods and Remus is a half-blood" James questioned.
"Well, first of all, it is Sirius and I, not me and Sirius and we are half-bloods, Dad's a Squib, mum's a witch " Artemis replied.
"She just met us but still corrects us as Remus does, ha we found the female version of him hahaha" Sirius to James.
A prefect came in to tell them they had 10 minutes till they got to Hogsmead.
"Okay, so we'll go to the bathroom, let you change here and pop back when you are done," James said.
Elanor and Artemis just flicked their wrists and all of them were in their uniform and robes.
"Woah that was nonverbal and wandless, that 6th-year work." Remus awed.
"Sorry to interrupt this little nerd off but can you tell us why you have phoenixes and what are they called?" James asked.
"Well Prongie boy don't-" Artemis started.
"You recognize our surname-" Elanor continued.
"Work that out then- " Artemis followed.
We will tell you the name of our Phoenixes," they finished together.
"Woah, that was like watching a tennis match. How do you do that?" Remus exclaimed, whilst James mulled over what the girls had said.
Said girls looked at each other and said together,
"It's a twin thing!"
"Greenleaf, Greenleaf, Greenleaf. Wait your mother isn'tThe Pandora Greenleaf who is a descendant of the Founders and Merlin," seeing their matching smirks James continued,
"So that explains the Phoenixes. Merlin's spirit animal, emblem and animagus was a Phoenix and although the Dumbledore family likes to say they are the only family who has phoenixes, only fire phoenixes will come to them but the others go to the descendants of Merlin." James finished
"Wow, who knew James could be so knowledgeable about something that is not Lily-related." Remus teased.
"Yeah, that's true although our father married into the family he still got a phoenix. He has an earth phoenix called Coe, mum has a water phoenix called Nen. This here is a moon phoenix and she is called Ithil and Elanor has a Sun Phoenix called Anor and they are our true Familiars." Artemis explained.
They finally arrived at Hogsmeade and made their way off the train.
"Do you guys have to go by the boats or can you come on the horseless carriage with us?" James asked.
"We can go by carriage but they aren't horseless; they are pulled by Thestrals, boney winged horses are only seen by people who have seen death. We can see them" Artemis started as they got into the carriages,
"You don't have to tell us who you saw die Art" Remus said comfortingly placing his arm around her and sitting beside her
"No I will don't try and stop me El, I think they should know. The day I got attacked, we were 4 at the time. El and I were playing with our brother Duncan Thanatos, who was three, and our sister Aurora Hebe, who was two, when they came on the night of the full moon and slaughtered them in front of our eyes. I remember their screams. They then advancing toward Elanor about to bite her but I pushed her out of the way and told her to go, thankful she got to safety and a large grey werewolf sunk his teeth in my shoulder so that is why we can see Thestrals because they killed our siblings, who were called death and life respectively same way El and I are Sun and Moon in that order. They took them away from us if I ever see that wolf again I will kill him he was called Greyback." Artemis finished and broke down crying in Remus' arms and Elanor was being comforted by Sirius.
"I know how you feel I too was bitten by Greyback," Remus said, his face hardened as he recalled those memories, after a few seconds he shook his head and turned to Artemis, his face gentle again. "But all is well now, they gave me this place at Hogwarts where I can go during full moons."
"They'll let you use it too, I'm sure of it," James said.
"Well they don't have much choice, do they? Not if they want a werewolf inside the castle." Elanor countered.
"Remus, what date did you get bit by Greyback?" Artemis quietly questioned Remus,
"It was the 10th of March. At 4.30 in the evening, they also killed my father after they bit me." Remus answered, but saw the twins' shocked faces, in turn, asking them when Artemis got bit.
"10th March, 5.30 in the evening," Artemis said and the two of the werewolves comforted each other silently whilst Sirius still hugged Elanor.
The rest of the ride was in silence, they arrived at the gate and got out of the carriage, Artemis and Elanor gently petting and thanking the Thestral.
"Well we should try to find Aunt Minnie," Artemis said looking around.
"Aunt Minnie?" Sirius asked.
"Yeah Professor McGonagall is our aunt so we can prank all we want and not get caught," Elanor said
"Prank all the time…..and not get caught?" Sirius's eyes widened and he grinned.
"Yeah" Elanor grinned back.
"Don't even think about it!" Remus and Artemis both said at the same time.
The others laughed and James said, "We really did find a female version of Remus didn't we?"
"Oh c'mon El, we'll be late, we still need to get sorted into our houses." Artemis.
"We are all in Gryffindor, hope to see you soon!" James said.
"Yeah, see you soon."
The boys made their way into the Great Hall whilst the girls made their way to their Aunt (on their fathers' side) office.
