SOTP: Hey there! My name is sister of the pharaoh! I write alot of Yugioh stories here but I love other anime too! And I fell in love with Mr. Love Queen's choice when the game came out last year! So I decided to write a couple one shots with my favorite male love interests!

The first one stars Gavin since he's my top favorite. And yes their will be OC's so this is pretty much a shameless self insert, don't at me.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

It was a Thursday, right at the beginning of September. Outside some of the trees had small handfuls of leaf bunches that were just starting to turn a light red and orange. The days slowly started to become shorter with the sun turning midday afternoons into golden sunsets. While the smells of apples, pumpkins and other homemade treats were sure to fill the noses of everyone soon enough. The temperature was very pleasant, with the early fall winds cooling off the last of the heavy heat left over from August. Comfortable enough to go to an outside gathering without complaining about the heat, or shivering from the cold. Yet I'm afraid the nice weather, did nothing to help lift my defeated spirits.

Let me introduce myself first though. I'm Lucia, a 22 year old who works at an art gallery and takes art lessons. I also happened to be really lousy in the love department. That or just too stupid to know when the right person is standing right in front of me. Allow me to explain.

For the past half hour, I sat on a bench near the gingko trees in Love Land City Park with an extra large bento sitting next to me. I held my head in my hands, my messy dark chocolate brown hair getting tossed backed forth by the light breeze. As my golden amber eyes gazed at the river that flowed underneath the stone bridge across from where I was sitting, I began to come to terms with begin rejected again for what felt like the tenth time that month.

I had plan to meet a guy from work I crushed on for a while and I was planning on telling him my feelings. He's an old classmate that I recently became friends with again. Hence why I brought so much food. However something happened when I went to meet up with him that made me turn in the dead opposite direction and run straight for the park. I don't know why I didn't just buy the biggest tub of ice cream, go home and eat my feelings on the couch. I just felt too defeated, too beaten to even walk. Like no matter how matter how fast I run, I can't reach the finish line. Love is always faster than me, it felt like trying to chase the wind.

As I began to recover from my crying fit and pack up to go home, I looked up to see the very person who I was suppose to meet up with. Mostly out of surprise, I didn't even notice he was there. A young man with golden brown eyes and light brown hair in a simple denim outfit. My old classmate and secret crush, named Gavin. He's a 24 year old special agent working for the police. He stood in front me with almost the exact same surprised look I had on my face. He seemed to try to approach me gently since he could tell I was upset as he spoke.

"Lucia? What are you doing here?" Gavin asked out of consern.

"Feeling sorry for myself...where's your girlfriend? Didn't she want to come too?" I asked with a sad tone in my voice.

"Girlfriend?"

He asked as if he had no idea who I was talking about.

"That girl you were talking to outside the station. She was that girl you liked in high school right? Isn't she a T.V producer now?"

That's what happened that made me turn tail and ran. The girl I was questioning about was very petite and a lot cuter than I was. I knew when I'd seen them together that I'd lost. There's no way someone like me, whose tall with broad shoulders and short hair could get Gavin's attention. He's a hero, he needs a princess to rescue, not an amazon. That was when Gavin finally put two and two together. He blushed and covered his mouth in embarrassment, a small habit of his, before sitting down next to me. Clearing his throat before speaking.

"You're half right...She was our old class mate that's a television producer. She's was there covering a story about that robbery last week. But that was it, she's just a classmate from high school. Whether she likes me or not, that's her business. Not my business. She's not my girlfriend...and for the record she wasn't the one I liked back then either." Gavin explained, making me feel foolish before he continued.

"Now as for the girl I do like, she ran away before I could explain. I don't blame you though, guess it was kind of payback for that time I got jealous of that guy you work with at the gallery."

Gavin's explanation left me blushing as I began to laugh. Feeling better about everything. I guess he does feel the same, at least I hope he did. After catching my breath Gavin smiled. His warm golden brown eyes that reflected the warm sun had left me almost breathless as I began to speak.

"I'm really sorry, I was thinking stupid things."

"Don't be. I get that way when it comes to you too. But I trust you, so you can trust me ok?"

I answered by nodding, to which Gavin smiled as he continued to speak.

"I tired catching up to you when I noticed you leaving, but lost you in the crowd. I had feeling this is where you would be though."

"Why?" I asked curiously.

Making Gavin laugh before he answered.

"You told me you like being around nature when you're upset. Makes you feel better being around the trees and the gardens. You also said you liked feeling the breeze cause it reminds you of me..." Gavin finished the last part of that sentence with a slight blush, making me do so as well.

"Well, it does. The wind reminds me of you, but not just because of your powers."

"Then why?" Gavin asked with a dumbfounded look that made me giggle before I answered.

"Because you're free spirited and you don't care what other people say or how they judge you. You only care about the opinations of the people who matter. You gently embrace those who are important and blow freely by those who aren't. You run free, just like the wind. That's the Gavin I fell in love with, the one who follows his kind heart and believes in his own reasons while he runs towards them."

Gavin was left with a blush on his face after I finished. So was I for that matter when I realized what I had just said. I turned my head in embarrassment as a giant blush began to form on my face. I quickly started to try coming up with an excuse when Gavin suddenly pulled me into his strong yet tender arms. His gentle scent filled my senses as he ran those long, caulis fingers through my short messy hair. Whispering softly in my ear as he did so.

"If that's true, then I'll do my best to that man. A man that you deserve to have. I'll stand by your side always, just like you have always stood by me. And no matter what you say, I'll never let go of you again. The love you've given me, I'll return it ten fold. So you'll never have to doubt how I feel."

I started to cry while smiling as I returned Gavin's embrace. I was happy for the first time in a long while. We stayed like that for a few minutes. Not caring we were in public or if people we're staring at us. After pulling away, Gavin gently wiped away my tears. Suddenly a giant growl came from my stomach and Gavin blushed with a laugh before taking notice of how big my bento box was.

"I hope you planned on sharing some of that." Gavin said in a joking manner.

"Well, I was planning on eating all this myself if you rejected me, but since you didn't I guess I can share some. I even made some fried chicken but it's a little cold now." I explained before Gavin snagged a piece and popped it into his mouth.

"It's good."

We then started to share the overly large meal. I had secretly planned to give Gavin the rest to take home with him. Since I know he didn't always had time to eat something on the job. Gavin was a kind hearted person but didn't always have time to take care of himself. I'd hope to be a good woman that would always be there for him. Just as he had always been there for me.

SOTP: Short but sweet! Hope you guys enjoyed this and keep an out for more stories from me! I plan on doing more one shots like this so look forward to them!
