Hey guys. yeah, I know, ANOTHER story that I will start and most likely will get writers block about on the way, but I have not given up on writing. I'm just taking my time to rekindle my passion for my stories, and have been practicing to give you all a good story that's fun to read. This one is an Idea that I've had for... quite awhile, and not exactly your typical crossover, especially between darksouls and fairytail. Here's the little intro I made, and chapter 1 should be coming out shortly afterwards. (depending on how well the story is taken. I like to wait a week or so to see if anybody gives any feed back before starting my next chapter.) Anyways, here is my newest story. Fairytail: a legacy carved in crystal.
disclaimer: I do not own darksouls or fairytail.
Long ago, before the rise of humans, the cursed undead wandered the world, ruled by the everlasting dragons. In their aimless journey, few undead found souls... with the strength of lords. Nito, the first undead. Izalyth, the mistress of chaos. Gwyn, the lord of sunlight. the fertive pigmy, so easily forgotten. Together, the lords challenged the everlasting dragons. Gwyn's mighty bolts of sunlight tore through their scales. Izalyth and her sisters of chaos wove firestorms that consumed all in their path. Nito unleashed a miasma of death and disease, rotting all living things that stood in his path... and Seath, the scaleless dragon, the crystal dragon king, betrayed his own kind.
Legends say the lords then went to build the great kingdom of Anor Londo, and their reign was absolute... but what the lords didn't know was of the betrayer, Seath. For you see, seath had an alternative motive. He had witnessed the power of the lords and knew the dragons would fall. In order to protect the knowledge of the everlasting dragons, he aided in slaying his own kind. The lords appointed him a duke, and gave him a great library where Seath earned his next title, as the father of soul magic, and, in secret, creating tomes that held all the secrets of the everlasting dragons, their knowledge and wisdom of the world.
Seath would spend centuries in his library researching as the world outside changed, but all of that changed by the revival of humanity, and the revival of the dragons. While not as strong as the everlasting dragons, these new dragons were formidable. each of them adapting to an element of the world, and using it as a weapon... Seath studied the dragons and human in secret, learning that magic was evolving to be something more than he had imagined... but as time went by, seath's mind started to delve into madness. he could feel it creeping in his very soul. He was afraid. Afraid of what would happen to the knowledge he spent his entire life protecting.
Fate had given him an answer shortly after. A human baby at the entrance of his library, the corpse of it's mother protecting him. The apocalypse dragon, Achnologia, had stuck against the humans, destroying their kingdoms. This woman had shielded her child with her body, using the last of her life to bring her baby to his library. The servants of seath had brought the child to him, and he realized fate had given him a chance. A child to call his heir. Though he mourned for the loss of his daughter, the cross breed pricillica, this boy... He could raise the boy to become his successor, and maybe... one day he could free Pricillica from the cold painted world that was her prison.
20 years have passed, and the boy grew quickly. now standing at 5 feet, 9 inches tall, he wore a blue crystalline cloak over a white shirt and blue pants, his hair as white as snow as his eyes had no color, his irises like mirrors. He stood before his father, who was gathering the few tomes in his library that hadn't been encased in crystal already. "My son... the time has come. I can feel the madness encroaching my mind." Seath set down the tomes of the everlasting dragons, and his own tomes of the secrets of magic. He reaches into a small box, pulling out a necklace of crystal, a glowing crystal scale hanging from it. The man's eyes widen. "The primordial scale? Father…" Seath gave a draconic sad smile, placing the necklace on the boy's neck. "Seriloc… my son... I knew this was coming for twenty years, ever since I found you at my doorstep... The world is changing and... I cannot change with it... Go into the world. learn from it.. and... save your sister from her prison. Promise me."
Seriloc clenches his fist, looking down as tears fell to the floor of the crystal cavern. "... I promise, father." Seath nods, before moving the the back of the cave, pulling out a crystal blue greatsword that glowed like moonlight. "You will need a weapon to defend yourself. This is my last gift to you, my son." He places the blade before seriloc, before giving a roar of pain. "It is happening... My son... you must slay me." Seriloc grits his teeth, gripping the sword. "Your legacy will live on, father... I will redeem you." Seath gives a sad smile, before exposing his neck, closing his eyes. Seriloc give a roar of battle as he jumps up and slashes hard with the greatsword, landing as tears fell from his eyes, hearing the thud of his father's head colliding with the cavern's floor. He placed the blade on his back, going to gather the tomes. "Father... you gave your life for knowledge and wisdom... It will not be in vain."
Tears were still falling as he left the duke's archives, looking upon the now ruined city of Anor Londo, before a huge crow started flying overhead, Seriloc holding his arms out as the crow grabbed him, starting to carry him beyond the sea that kept the forsaken land of lordrend isolated from the world. "The world has changed... I can sense magic in the air... Father... Watch over me" The crow flew with him until there was land in sight, along with a small port town, humans going about their business, seriloc gazing towards the town. "I suppose that's where I will start." The crow drops him onto a small hill overlooking the town, seriloc readjusting his pack full of tomes. With his sword on his back, and the wand in his hand, his journey through the new world of magic begins.
Well, I hope that this works as a goo Intro to my OC character. I know it might sound like he's emotionless, but He will be more light hearted as the story kicks off. So, Seriloc has found a small little port town, which probably coincidentally has a "salamander" visiting. Feel free to give any constructive criticism or feedback. I am working on my other stories, so please, have mercy on me. I am NeroReborn, And I will see you all in the next chapter.
