Attack on Titan
Titans: Historia
A/N: I'm just going to say this. If you've played the game or seen the film, then I don't need to say more than that. Here goes.
Swinging…in the darkness. She was…swinging in the darkness. Where was she? And who was she?
Historia, a female voice called out in the darkness. Historia… Historia!
"What… Who's talking?" A young girl uttered, opening her eyes. "Is someone talking to me?"
Historia! They are coming! Help me!
Sting! She felt something like a needle stick her in her neck…and then somewhere on her abdomen…and then again on her right leg.
"Stop it… Stop hurting me… Stop! Aaaaurgh!" She yelled, feeling like she was on fire now.
"Hey, she's waking up!" She heard a man yell.
"That's not possible!" Another man gasped. "She was given heavy sedatives!"
"Aaaurgh!" She continued yelling, feeling like her skin was burning.
Boom! An explosion came and destroyed the strange, chain link sphere the girl was inside of, releasing her and suspending her in the air.
"Ohh…ohh…ah…" The girl groaned, landing on the floor in front of a man with blond hair and a beard, wearing glasses and had a name tag that read, "Zeke Yeager".
"Urgh!" He groaned, looking up at her. "Historia… You…you must go back to your isolation chamber, Historia."
"His…Historia?" She uttered. "Historia? Are you saying that…that's my name?"
She approached him, something he seemed afraid of her doing.
"What did you do to you me?" She questioned him, and he was suddenly trembling from the sight of electrical sparks emanating from her body's exposed skin, which was unfortunate for him due to the fact that the girl was dressed in a dark leotard. "Why can't I remember anything?! Tell me!"
Splat! Zeke Yeager's head exploded, killing the man and leaving a bloody smear across Historia's face.
"Aaurgh! My head hurts," she groaned, holding her head with her right hand, feeling like her skull wanted to split in two. "Where am I? Who am I?"
She staggered away from Zeke's corpse, exiting the large room through a door and entering a hallway. The pain she was feeling was starting to lessen, but then the sound of alarms rang as a female voice gave a warning across wherever it was that Historia was currently in, if that was even her name.
"Emergency! Emergency! We have an escape in Section MT-3!" The voice yelled, repeating itself over and over again.
"What's going on?" Historia questioned, walking towards a closed door.
It opened, and she saw several men in dark suits, carrying assault rifles and cattle prods.
"We have the subject in custody," one of them announced, and then struck Historia on the back, knocking her to the floor. "Restrain her."
She looked up at three of the men that approached…and saw them burst into flames.
"Aaaaaurgh! Aaaaurgh!" The three yelled in pain as they fell to the floor.
"Fire!" Another soldier gasped, looking at the girl. "She can set people on fire!"
"The doctors gave her Colossal!"
"What were they thinking, giving her Colossal?!"
Historia got up and looked at the remaining soldiers, a frown on her face.
"I'm getting out of here now," she told them. "Don't stop me."

"The subject has broken the fifteenth stairway!" A man informed the facility. "Call the Armored Titan guards. You can use the lasers."
"But General Calvi, they could…" Another man tried to warn, but the other one cut him off.
"Do it!" The man, Calvi, ordered. "It'll be an opportunity to see her power!"
"A wall on the fourth floor was just destroyed," a woman revealed to them. "The subject is heading towards the third floor."

Historia was impeded by a group of seven men that looked as though they were wearing thick armored suits made of bone, having unintentionally murdered four more people in this strange place she was in.
"We have her! Engage the lasers!" One of the armored suits shouted, and the rest fired at her.
She raised her arms up and felt the lasers hit her, but they barely felt like…something as soft as cotton balls or balloons full of water.
"You gotta be kidding!" One of them yelled. "They gave her Armor, too?! What did they give all nine drugs?!"
Blast! She was knocked back by one of the lasers, hitting her in the waist.
"Aaaurgh!" She groaned, feeling like someone took a knife to her, if she had ever been stabbed before. "Aaaauurgh! Urgh! Grrraaurgh!"
"Oh, no," the armored men reacted as the girl got back up. "She's gonna go all-out!"
Historia looked as though she was going to have a panic attack or something, but her skin turned from fair to a brownish-gold hue that appeared hardened, like armor, and her eyes became purple whilst her hair extended down to her knees.
"Rrrrrrraaurgh!" She roared, and immense energy was released from her body as she walked towards them. Hardened skin turn brittle!
The armor of their bodies became brittle and started crumbling off their limbs, leaving them vulnerable to her fury.
Bones, turn brittle and organs turn sludge!
They fell to the ground and started looking like pulp.
"Quick!" The last member ordered some people behind them. "Hit her with the Coordinate!"
Two men in white coats and tranquilizer-like shotguns began shooting at Historia, but they, too, fell to her fury. But they didn't die in vain; eight of the capsules they shot at her had impacted upon her torso and right arm, injecting her hardened hide with a fluid substance, seeping into her veins and slowing her progress down the hallway, and she fell down again.
"Urgh…wha…" She groaned, looking at one of the capsules that fell off her body, still full of the liquid chemical that she assumed was used to stop her. "This drug…stopped the all-out?"
There must've been at least four of these capsules on the floor that didn't get used. She gathered them up in her arms and carried them with her down the hall, entering a room that had some clothes. Finally, she could get out of this ridiculous leotard that exposed her a little more than she cared to admit. With no memory of what happened to her before waking up less than half an hour ago, she wasn't sure what kind of person she had been, if she had been one at all. One thing was for certain right now: She just wanted to put on something that covered more of her skin because she was tired of being half-naked.

"What an amusing experiment you're running here, General Calvi," Calvi heard the voice of the project's most unstable subject by far.
"When did you get here, Braun?" He asked the teenage boy, turning to face him.
Reiner Braun, looking stable, but nowhere near it, responded, "I just got here, sir. So, that's her, huh? She's quite a looker. How's her mental faculties? Did she really kill Zeke Yeager?"
"Don't try anything, Braun!" Calvi ordered the boy, watching through a hidden camera in the hallway that recorded the girl going into a room that held some clothes. "I give the orders here. Show Historia to the Information Distribution Room."

Dressed in blue jeans, a black skirt, a white blouse and gray coat, Historia stepped back out into the hallway, using a brown fanny pack to carry the four capsules she salvaged with her. She found another stairway…and felt drawn towards a room by the lights that lit up on the floor showing her the way.
"What is this place?" She wondered aloud, seeing a sign on the door that read, "Information Distribution Room". "Information? Well, I do need information."
She entered the room and found a large, crystalline structure in the shape of a tree without leaves, looking as though light was traveling around it through the trunk, roots and branches.
"Please, spell your name," a male voice uttered to her, and she tried to recall the number of letters that were in her name to spell it.
"H-I-S-T-O-R-I-A," she spelled out.
"The letters combine to pronounce 'Historia'," the voice responded. "One match found from the Nine Titans Project, also known as the Ymir Fritz Rejuvenation Program. Information is restricted to unauthorized personnel. What is your password?"
Historia felt anger boiling inside her to come close to getting what she needed but being denied because of a restriction.
"I repeat, what is your password?" The voice asked again.
"Aaaaaaaaaurgh!" She yelled, releasing electrical energy from her body at the crystal tree.
FLASH! She was standing within a vast, white space now.
"What?" She wondered, and then saw someone appear in the air in front of her, floating somewhat sideways, dressed in a white gown, looking exactly like herself.
"Historia," the male voice from earlier spoke. "Family name: Reiss. Year of birth: 2150."
"That's me? Historia Reiss?"
The girl floating in front of her then disappeared, replaced by a man that seemed somewhat short with a large physique, like he didn't work out much, dressed in a business casual suit, with jagged, black hair and a thin mustache.
"Father: Rod Reiss," the voice identified, and then the man was replaced by a woman with dirty blonde hair and wearing a light blue dress. "Mother: Alma Reiss."
"My mother?"
And then the woman was replaced by a younger girl that was slightly older than Historia, with long, dark hair, wearing a yellow sundress.
"Known sibling: Frieda Reiss."
"I have a sister?"
"Address: Sina of the Paradis Islands, Mitras City."
Replacing the older girl that was Frieda was a large city on a large island that was part of a trio of islands, all beautiful and not far from where she was currently was, just a few miles away from a mainland city called Liberio in a country known as Marley.
"What an incredible display of your power, Historia," she heard a male voice different from the one that the crystal tree had, and Historia found herself back in the large chamber with the tree, feeling something touching the back of her head. "I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed by your development."
"Who…who are you?" She asked.
"General Calvi of the Liberio Titan Research Institution for the Marleyan military," he introduced himself. "I'm the one responsible for giving you the power you now possess."
"Then…it's all your fault that I'm here?" She questioned. "I lost my memories. And I have this…this power that you gave me?"
"That's right," he answered her. "It's all because of our new program to revive Ymir Fritz that you're here."
"The Ymir Fritz Rejuvenation Program," she expressed. "What is this program?"
"Historia…it's not for you to know anything (he pressed the gun he had in his left hand against her head). If I shoot you with this drug, you will go all-out. You will suffer as the Titan power surges through your body, and then you will die. Historia, you don't want to die, do you? Come with me to the isolation chambers."
"No way."
"Then you leave me with no other choice. You will end up in the cooler."
Arm, twist, snap, Historia thought, and suddenly the man's gun-toting arm twisted backwards, causing him to lose the weapon.
"Urgh…are you doing this?!" He demanded from her. "Aaaurgh!"
He turned the other way and struck her with his other arm.
Historia fell to the floor and quickly got back, but Calvi was not there.
"Huh? Where…"
"Right here!"
She turned around and struck again by Calvi; somehow, the man was able to move fast enough to get out of her sight. But if he favored getting behind people, then this could work to her advantage. All she needed to do was get him. She felt a light touch on her back and knew he was behind her again.
Bash! Calvi hit her again, knocking her back down.
Getting back up, Historia looked around the front of the chamber, not seeing the man, and then rolled away from where she fell, just narrowly avoiding another strike from Calvi, who had moved at a speed that made it appear that he was replicating himself for a brief moment.
"Urgh!" Calvi grunted. "I'll snap your spine in half!"
Flesh, boil and combust! She thought, and Calvi burst into flames.
"Aaaaurgh! Aaaah! Aaaahh!" Calvi screamed, falling to the floor.
Historia, that voice from earlier had called out to her. Historia.
"Who is this?" She questioned. "Who is calling me?"
They are looking for me. Help me, please.
"Who are you?"
But as she was distracted by the voice, Calvi, reduced to a smoldering skeleton made of crystal, rose back up and grabbed her from behind.
"Did you really think Colossal and War Hammer would stop me?" She heard him say. "I gave you your power, and I know how they function. Time to die!"
He was trying to crush with his skeletal limbs, and Historia had to find a way to break free.
Looking down at the floor, she noticed the gun he had lost…and realized that the only solution available to her was to go all-out, endangering her life in order to stop Calvi.
Gun, come to me, she willed, reaching out with her left hand.
The gun slowly moved on the floor…and then shot up towards her hand.
Move to my neck, pull trigger! She willed, causing the gun to float towards the right side of her neck…and she felt the weapon shoot her neck full of the drug she had been threatened with by Calvi. "Aaah…aaaah… Rrrrraaurgh!"
Her body contorted as her veins surged with this power. She could feel her skin burning and her organs expanding and contracting.
"Aaaaaaurgh!" She yelled as Calvi's crystal skeleton fractured and collapsed into countless pieces as she fell to her knees and palms. "Gaaaurgh! Aaaurgh!"
Calvi's skull, the largest part of his destroyed body to fall, looked on as the girl had sealed her own fate by trying to kill him.
"You are a fool, Historia Reiss," he called her. "Huh?!"
Historia, struggling to rise to her knees, had extracted something from the fanny pack she had. It was one of the Coordinate drugs they had created to stabilize the subjects to keep them in check. Somehow, she had managed to collect one of them from her earlier encounters with the Armored Titan guards.
"Aaurgh!" She groaned as she raised the capsule to her chest and shot herself with it, injecting the drug. "Aaah! Aah…ahh…"
Falling to her right side, Historia felt herself returning to her previous state of being. She laid there for a brief period before she rose back up…and saw that the crystal tree had been shattered along with Calvi's remains; she must've destroyed it during the time she went all-out.
"Oops," she went, slowly walking out of the room.
She was tired, feeling like she needed to rest her head somewhere. But she couldn't do so here, not while there were people that were either out to capture her or kill her. She had to get out of here, back to the Paradis Islands, back to where she only learnt a few minutes ago as her home. Walking into an elevator, she leaned against a wall and sat down, just wanting to rest for a while until the elevator reached the first floor.
"Historia Reiss," she raised her head up to see a dozen soldiers standing outside the elevator, guns raised at her.
Soldiers, shatter, she willed; she had no time to consider morality, anymore, not when she was surrounded by people she didn't know in a place she didn't recognize.

"Well, wasn't that an interesting turn of events, General Calvi?" Reiner asked the crystalline skull of the fallen man in the chamber.
"You…insolent fool," Calvi responded, angry and being bested by a girl he had helped to improve upon just a few days ago. "Collect my pieces…and reassemble me."
"You're less than a person, reduced to just head with no skin…and you still think you can order me around?" Reiner questioned, expressing contempt towards the fallen man.
"You dare to defy me?"
"Just die already."
Smash! Reiner put his right foot down on the skull and shattered it to pieces, killing Calvi for good; he didn't know how to piece the man back together, anyway.
"Historia Reiss," he uttered, raising his tablet to his face and seeing that a camera overlooking an elevator had caught video of the girl in question walking over a pile of bodies belonging to recently-killed soldiers. "You're a fascinating girl right now. Heh-heh!"

The Marley-Paradis Islands Railway Station was Historia's fastest route to leave Liberio and get to Sina, and just in time as it started to rain, soaking her almost to the bone as she got into a train and sat down beside a window, giving her a good view of the city and the ocean the train began to run across.
I had escaped from the Liberio Titan Research Institution, she thought as she looked up at the dark, cloudy sky above. I can't remember anything except my name and my family's faces. What was I doing there? Why was I there? What were they doing to me? It feels like I'm inside a storm. I can't remember anything. I saw the lights of Liberio fade away as the train moved towards the ocean until…I was lost in the darkness.
To be continued…
A/N: Not bad for my first chapter. I hope y'all enjoy this until the next chapter. See ya.
