Introduction

Greetings everyone! This is my first fanfic I'd ever tried here. This is a story on Blake Belladonna, a RWBY character, who found herself in the world of Terra where the story of Arknights takes place.

Like all Doktahs who had also watched RWBY, we are amazed to see many similarities between the two worlds. The Faunus and the Ancients, Dust and Originium, crazily advanced technologies, and most of all, the issues of discriminations. We are also very excited to see Jeff and Casey Lee Williams, the singers for RWBY, made a song for Arknights too. Finally, Lowlight (Haimao), the creator of Arknights and a few artists had drawn fanarts for RWBY, especially YUJI, the artist for Astesia. So, when will you collab with RWBY, Haimao-sama? (soft whisper)

On the other hand, there is RWBY, the most famous work of the deceased, talented, young animator Monty Oum, who successfully blend anime and American 3D animations together very well. The world-building was fascinating at the beginning. Sad enough, ever since he passed away, RWBY is no longer the same. Don't get me wrong, the animation is still good. But honestly, the story plot is no more interesting. Everything concerning the Faunus and the White Fang is chucked behind. The dark, tragic theme seems to be forcefully inserted, which this light-hearted show shouldn't be. Especially when you think of the behind-the-scenes problems within Rooster Teeth...I can't say that much longer.

Nonetheless, Arknights executes its story-telling very well. You have a world where there is literally full of "Faunus" that separate themselves into races and nations. Then there is the Infected. I have to admit that the description of their discriminations is much better than the whole Faunus and White Fang issues. Originium, the counterpart of Dust, brings more curses than blessings. Aside from these, the nations of Terra constantly fight against ancient deities, the sea monsters, and most of all, among each other for power and wealth.

So, if you are a RWBY fan, please try play Arknights, at least reach until Chap. 6! You may find a lot of interesting settings and plot in it!

Back to the topic. The idea of Blake travelling around Terra is always in my mind. Not only she is a Faunus, or should I say a "Feline," but also, she had been a member of the White Fang. Surely, she could relate with the Infected her experience of hatred by others. Yet, given that the discriminations of the Infected is very deeply rooted and complicated, Blake could mature mentally and start thinking on the philosophy of the endless cycle of discrimination. Therefore, Blake is the best candidate from RWBY to venture into Terra. Especially the closing of Season 8 really fits her going into Terra. Without hesitation, I start writing this fanfiction.

At the beginning, there will be a lot of OCs. This is because I want her to interact with Rhodes Island and canonical characters later. But trust me, Act 1 will only be around 9~10 chapters. More canonicals characters will appear from Act 2 onwards.

As for updates, I prefer to finish it one-shot and then slowly update it if my time is available. Not only I need to do some check-ups and proofreading, but also you readers won't have to wait for too long. Of course, if I am no longer free, I will inform you first at the end of a chapter.

Aside from these, operators that are currently only available on CN server will appear. So do be aware of SPOILERS from the game too. Right now, I am eagerly waiting for the settings of Victoria, Kjerag and Bolívar, which are coming soon through teasers from the 2nd anniversary.

In order to distinguish original and canonical characters, each new Act will include a character introduction so that both RWBY and Arknights fans could figure out who they are.

Finally, because English is only my second language, I might not be good in grammar, description, dialogues and expression. Writing is always not my piece of cake. You can help correct me if you want to. A beta-reader would be even better.

p/s: Throughout the entire story, the characters will refer to Terra as "upon this land." Not only it is a much more descriptive way to say it, but also it stays close with the original Chinese phrase "这片大地上," which has a significant meaning in its lore.

Main Characters (Canonical)

• Blake Belladonna: A female Feline mercenary, who called herself a "huntress" and a "Faunus." She said she did not belong to Terra.

• Nian: A frequent visitor of Rhodes Island from Yen. According to an operator's account, she is a mysterious deity. She had the ability to create any metallic objects without the use of Originium Arts.

• Stormeye: A middle-aged Sakarz bowman. An Elite Operator of Rhodes Island who coincidently met Blake and Nian.

Original Characters

• Benjamin: A hostel owner in the town of Bunkermine, Columbia. A male Lupo.

• Gaston the Mighty: A cunning Sankta arms dealer and the underground ruler of the town of GrayValley.

• Old Nimrod: An old Aegir bartender at GrayValley.

• Shelly: An Infected Elafia girl. She was saved by Blake and Nian during a Catastrophe.

• Irin: A Feline Rhodes Island medic who took care of Shelly.

• Oleg: The Ursus operator who led the North wind squad during the recapture of Watchtower 104. A non-Infected.
