Hi, welcome to my FanFic. I will try to post every two or three weeks, but I'm not the most punctual person ever. Mainly, I will be writing about Clace, Sizzy, Malec, Jemma and all the TMI ships I can think of. There will be some swearing and various disorders/upsetting scenes. At the end of every chapter, I will you guys give a list of five or more good songs. This chapter will be a little shorter than what I will normally do. Hope you enjoy!
That was the original A/N. I wrote this FanFic about a year ago, and I have decided to revisit and maybe finish it. I will shout out all followers, reviewers and favouriters (is that even a word?) at the end of a chapter. Any ways, on with the story.
I slammed to the ground, groaning in pain. I rolled to the side and got to my feet, quickly moving into a fighting stance. A blade flew through the air and lodged itself into the wall just behind me. I kicked my opponent in the side and yanked a short dagger out of the floor just in front of me, hating every second I wasn't looking at my opponent. Launching myself into the air, I kicked off the wall behind me and spun through the air, landing on the balls of my feet behind my opponent. Before they could turn, I stabbed them behind the shoulder blades, piercing the heart. They toppled to the ground and I removed my dagger from their back, wiping off their blood.
I walked around the dark alley, picking up all the weapons and coins they had dropped, stowing them in the various pockets of my coat. As I was zipping up my pocket, I noticed a slight shadow across the alleyway entrance. Frowning, I quickly scaled the wall and crouched on the roof of the building, watching to see who it was. The first thing I heard was the persistent 'tap tap tap' of high heels making their way towards me. The second thing I heard was raised voices, what sounded like two boys and a girl, arguing about... the best meal at a bar? No, restaurant.
I saw three people, in their teens, and a quick assessment of their appearance led me to believe that they all had weapons and training, though I doubt it was anywhere as thorough as mine. One of the boys had raven hair and blue eyes, with strange tattoos reaching up and down his arms. Actually, all of them had strange tattoos. He wore a rumpled grey shirt and black cargo pants, and the way he kept looking sideways at the boy next to him let me know he was gay. The fact that the boy next to him hadn't noticed meant he probably hadn't come out about it yet.
He seemed to be a bit too enraged to be talking about food at a restaurant, though. I quickly tuned back in to their conversation and, after a few seconds, realised they were now talking about the girl's love life. How pathetic. I turned my attention to the girl.
She also had dark brown hair, but her eyes were dark. She was in a short, glittery dress, and her heels were well over six inches high. Her cherry red lipstick was smeared around the sides, and from that, I knew she was one of those girls who treated men like toys and threw them out when she was finished with them. She was giggling slightly and wobbling around in her heels. They passed under me, and I got a good look at her long hair reaching down her back, almost completely covering the large cut through her dress and skin on her back.
The boy next to her was the one that interested me the most, with his golden hair and eyes, his lean figure and his large muscles. My fingers itched for my pencils, eager to sketch his delicate jawline and gently curving smile. What set me off was the way he carried himself, and I knew he was an arrogant dick who probably thought the sun shone for him. He was shaking his head, pointing a finger viciously at the girl in front of him.
"Izzy. You are not going to go back to see Meliorn, not after what he just did to you." Ah. The girl's name was Izzy, and the wound on her back was probably from Meliorn, who ever the hell that was. "Come on, Alec, back me up on this! She cannot go see that cheating, lying bastard again!" Okay, the boy with dark hair was called Alec.
"Izzy, you may have feelings for him, but unfortunately, Jace is right. You can't go back to see him." That meant the golden-haired boy is Jace. Good to know. "All I care about right now is getting you home quickly before Mar-" he cut off suddenly, staring at the ground in front of him. "Holy shit."
"What?" Jace asked with a grin, stepping around the mounds of garbage bags to see what Alec was looking at. "Is there a dead cat again? Or is it a huge rat? I know you hate those things, because the last time we saw them, you screa- oh shit." I cringed when I realised what they were looking was the dead body I had clumsily left there. Urgh, Father would have my head for this rookie mistake. Fortunately, only the two boys had noticed it, as Izzy was standing a couple of metres away, swaying slightly, drunkenly singing Riptide by Vance Joy under her breath. I slowly removed a stiletto from my pocket and unsheathed the sword hanging by my hip. Balancing the stiletto in my hand, I aimed at Alec's leg, to be precise, the back of his knee.
I kissed the blade, a habit I had taken up from my father, and threw it, watching with no satisfaction as it missed his knee cap, instead only grazing the side of his leg. It was still about a centimetre deep gash, but not good enough for me. As Alec cried out in pain, Jace turned, a blade in his hand. I leapt off the roof, doing a full 360 in the air before I landed in a crouch in front of them. I stood up, sword in one hand, dagger in the other, smirking at my new opponents.
"Hey. How are you?" they glared at me, even Isabelle, who had somewhat sobered up, and was clumsily uncoiling a whip from around her wrist. "Yeah, I just wanted to let you guys know that there's a murderer on the loose right now, so you had better watch out." I smiled brightly at them, internally cursing myself. Judging from their fighting stance and weapons, they would be harder to take down then I thought. Also, it was a three versus one situation, and the odds were not in my favour. I was still contemplating what to do when Jace ran at me, raising his blade over his shoulder while jumping into the air and pushing himself off the wall next to us. I ducked, kicking his legs out from under him, smashing one of the nearby glass bottles over his head. As he collapsed, Izzy cracked her whip at me, and I felt a cut open up on my shoulder. Alec staggered forwards, holding his dagger out in front of him.
I sidestepped his clumsy attack and knocked the back of his head with the hilt of my sword. Two cracks echoed through the alley and twin cuts appeared on my arm. Sighing, I turned around, grabbing Izzy's whip and yanking it out of her hands. She stumbled forwards and tripped on her huge heels, careening headfirst into the wall in front of her, knocking herself unconscious. I stared at her, awed by her clumsiness.
My phone buzzed, and I pulled it out of a pocket, quickly reading the message.
C, where are you? -D
I looked around the alley before replying.
In some alley. I made the hit, just as you asked. I ran into some trouble along the way, and I now have three unconscious civs. What do I do with them? -C
A few moments later, I got a reply.
Anything important? Do you think they could be of use to Father? -D
I quickly felt around in their pockets, and I came up with seven daggers, two stilettos, a kindjal, a bow and some arrows, a whip, two short swords, four wallets, and about fifty dollars worth of cash in their other pockets.
They're decked out. I'm texting you the location now. Bring the ute. -C
Several minutes later, a black ute pulled up, and a girl got out. She opened the back doors, and we hauled Jace, Alec and Izzy into the backseat of the car. We then grabbed the dead body and dumped it into the back of the ute before covering it up with a bright blue tarp. I looked around the alley to see if there was anything else that the cops could use to identify us. All I saw was a scrap of paper with cramped handwriting on it, which I pocketed before getting in the driver's seat.
The girl got into the passenger seat of the ute, and we sped off into the night.
