I've decided to do a final rewrite on the fanfic. It's a bit too hard with so much OCs and stuff so therefore I want to have just one Original character that comes one by one and not too much of both worlds to come and have their characters clash. Gonna start it off after season 3, extremely hard to do it from the beginning.
More easier for me to make and more easier for you guys to read.
On with the story
Long…Long ago…
The divine gods and goddess from heaven above have decided to descend to the Lower worlds which is the realm for mortals.
The gods have decided to seal away their divine powers and live amongst the humans in the lower world forever.
They lived with obstacles and uncomfortable feelings in the lower world.
The gods only give one thing to the mortals of the world which is the power to fight monsters.
That power is called Falna.
A power that is to be bestowed to one and become a direct servant to a god which is called Familia.
In other words; both god and mortal strive together in order to conquer the Dungeon within the city.
That city's name is Orario.
The place where heroes are born.
In the dungeon city; there were just dozens of people bustling around in the streets, and shops. Many of which are adventurers who are going in and out of the guild and dungeon that is under the Babel Tower.
"let's go guys!" a young white haired red eyes boy called out as he is Bell Cranel; the Little Rookie or Rabbit Foot of the Hestia Familia.
"wait for us, Bell-sama!" a pallum girl named Liliruca Arde; the Hestia Familia's knowledgeable supporter.
"you can't just go off while some of us are still preparing!" A red haired teen named Welf Crozzo; a Famous Magic Sword Blacksmith who was once a former Hephaestus Familia's member.
"we were still wearing out clothes too!" a black haired eastern kunoichi girl named Yamato Mikoto; another Hestia Familia member who is once the member of the Takemikazuchi Familia.
"please wait! Bell-sama!" a blonde renard girl wearing a red kimono cried out as she is Sanjouno Haruhime; the maid/supporter of the Hestia Familia.
"come on, guys!" Bell called out to his friends. "I have a feeling that we might be lucky in getting lots of magic crystals!"
"wait up, will you?!" Welf exclaimed as the team hurry their pace in catching up with their Familia's captain.
This is the daily life of those living in Orario, just peaceful and serenity for the citizens and the adventurers within the city. But that peace of theirs wasn't going to last very long.
The sky above the city started to darken as a huge thunderstorm came out of nowhere. Flashes of lightning, and roars of thunder soon rang out as it echoed.
Somewhere just a few kilometers away from Orario, there is a cloaked and hooded figure who walks upon the land. The fabric rattles and shakes around because of a passing by wind that just comes from the side.
The cloaked figure walks upon the land as a glowing red cross-shaped eye appears under the shadow of the hood.
A few hours later at Orario; the storm remains in the sky as a heavy rain pour just covers the city with endless droplets of water.
We turn our attention to the Twilight Manor; the Home of the Loki Familia.
In the mansion like Home; the Loki Familia's adventurers were either just walking around in the hallway doing stuff like chores or checking their stocks accordingly to their seniority. Some were just even lazing around because it was raining very harshly, and they didn't want to go outside to get wet.
At the first floor, Riveria Ljos Alf; the Nine Hells is seen walking in the hallway with a book in her hand. The high elf seems to be heading to the stairs at the end as she passes by the open corridor that is connected outside to the garden.
Riveria walks by as she just focuses on getting to the stairs before she looks in surprise as she finds a bouquet of pure white Lily flowers on the floor. The flowers in the Bouquet are glowing as sparkles radiate from it.
"this is.." Riveria muttered out as she went and picked up the bouquet that radiates white sparkles. "Elven Lilies…how did this get here?"
While Riveria checks the bouquet, she didn't realize that the cloaked figure who was miles away suddenly appears in the garden and is looking at her.
A bright flash of a lightning bolt suddenly struck down as Riveria looks surprised and turns towards the garden and sees nothing because the cloaked individual disappeared right upon the flash.
"that was…" said Riveria as she soon looks back at the flower bouquet in her hands that continues to radiate white sparkles. "who could've…?"
Meanwhile at the Freyja Familia's Home; the Folkvangr. The mansion home to nearly hundreds of strong rank adventurers chosen exclusively by the goddess of Beauty; Freyja.
The mansion is filled with the occupants of the said Familia as they were all just walking around and doing their daily task of either doing chores or training to be strong for their beloved goddess.
It was normal and quiet; that was until a powerful blast of lightning destroyed the front entrance to the Folkvangr and blasted away any nearby Freyja Familia members that was unfortunate to be there.
The blast alerted the entire Freyja Familia as there were many who came with weapons which were prepared to kill those who dare attack their Home.
Smoke and dust just clouded the destroyed front door of the Home as from within came out the cloaked figure who walked right in and faces the entire Freyja Familia's members who readied their weapons in an instant.
"you insolent fool." Allen Fromel, the Vana Freyja appears with the rest of the top executives of the Freyja Familia. the cat man spins his spear before he pointed the blade at the cloaked figure. "you shall pay with your life for daring to come and attack our Goddess' Home!"
The cloaked figure didn't respond with words but with action; a silver metallic right hand with fingerless glove came out of the cloak and then did a taunt towards the entire Freyja Familia.
"kill him!" Allen commanded as his Familia went on the attack upon command.
Every member of the Freyja Familia dash in to use their weapons while some readied incantation to fire magic.
The cloaked figure stood in his place before a glowing red cross shaped eye flashes from underneath the hood.
Upon a minute later; rains of lightning bolts came down upon the Folkvangr and engulfed the Home in explosion and destruction.
The storm above became harsher as heavy rain pours down upon Orario.
At the now crumbled and destroyed Folkvangr; flames just burn the Home as the rain is putting out the small ones while the large ones continue to burn.
The members of the Freyja Familia were scattered and lying under the rubble of their destroyed Home as some were hanged onto broken walls.
"u-ugh…" a groan was heard as Allen is lying on the ground while having bleeding cuts and burns around his body. The cat man tried to get up before a black boot came and slammed his head straight down to the ground with so much force that it cracked and shattered.
The cloaked figure stood over Allen as the cross shaped glowing red eye glares down upon the cat man whose head is getting pushed and grinded by the black boot.
Flames burns in the surrounding as they rage around the cloaked figure who soon disappears when a flash of lightning and a roar of thunder came from the storm above.
Upon the next day; news spreads about the attack on the Freyja Familia's Home and the complete defeat of the entire members. Chatters just echoes and spread to the entire Orario as the hot topic of the attack on one of the top rank Familia was unbelievable.
At the main district area; Bell and his Familia were at the market as they could hear the citizens just talk about the attack on the Freyja Familia's Home.
"Everyone looks scared." Said Bell as he and his friends were walking around after finishing buying their groceries.
"it's unbelievable that one incident can cause this much racket." Said Welf while carrying a crate filled with vegetables over his right shoulder.
"it should be." Lili stated while looking to the side as a group of Ganesha Familia were marching off. "such an attack on one of the top strongest Familias in Orario is bound to cause such a scene."
"it is more unbelievable to know the fact that the entire Freyja Familia save for the King are all defeated." Said Mikoto. "I've heard from Takemikazuchi-sama that the Folkvangr was destroyed, and the members of the Freyja Familia were left there terribly injured."
"that sounds terrible." Said Haruhime with a worried face.
"were there any witnesses on who the attacker might be?" Bell asked. "was it a Familia attack?"
"no one knows." Lili replied to the rabbit boy. "Lili heard that there was a flash of lightning and then just fire burning the destroyed Folkvangr."
"that doesn't sound good." Said Welf.
"agreed." Mikoto nodded. "Whoever attacked the Freyja Familia's Home could be a potential danger to Orario."
The Hestia Familia heads off home as they were sure that they didn't want to stay at a crowd filled with scared and panicking people; but unknown to them; the cloaked figure is standing on a roof nearby and watching them before turning its attention to the Babel Tower.
Another storm started to appear in the morning sky as it mostly forms around one area.
Flashes of lightning just continuously to cover the black clouds and thunder echoed out. the storm continued to form as the flashes illuminated something that is floating within it.
At the Loki Familia's Home; goddess Loki and her Familia's top executives gathered for a meeting in Finn's office as they were all situated for the situation that had happened upon the Freyja Familia's Home.
"we've gathered all the available information from the Ganesha Familia who had gone and investigated the attack on the Freyja Familia." said Finn as he sat on his seat and looking at the surface of his table that has written information of the attack that had happened at the Freyja Familia's Home. "there is no clue as to who done the attack. The only lead we have is that lightning bolts just rained down upon the Folkvangr and the entire member of the Familia were brutally taken down."
"why should we even care on what happened to our rival familia?" said Bete with a growl while leaning against a bookshelf. "if it is some bozo who attacked them, wouldn't this be good for us?"
"it would be if we know who attacked them." Gareth stated as he scratches his beard a few times. "but this attack was done by a mysterious attacker whose reason to attack is unknown."
"this could lead to a few assumption on the reason of the attack." Riveria added while sitting on the couch with Aiz beside her. "one of them would be to neutralize one of the strong Familias in Orario."
"are you saying that this could be the work of Evilus?" Tione asked as the senior members of the Loki Familia nodded.
"reasons of it aside, the attack on Freyja's Home and her kiddies just left a rise of fear for the citizens" Said Loki while sitting on Finn's office table. "the Folkvangr had all of the top and strong members of the Familia. save for Ottar; nearly every single one of them were decommissioned from being able to do anything. They are all bedridden now."
"this could leave us with a golden opportunity to rise in power, but we have to take in factor that we could be the next target of whoever attacked the Freyja Familia." said Finn while folding his hands on his table. "for now; we have to be very careful because whoever attacked the Freyja Familia could be a potential threat to us and to Orario."
"indeed." Said Riveria with an agreeing nod as everyone else but Bete nodded as well.
"hey guys." Tiona called out as she pointed a finger to the window. "is it just me or did last night' storm just left a black cloud?"
Piqued by her words, everyone turns to look out the window and sees the black cloud filled with lightning flashes and electrical sparks just floating above in the air near the Babel Tower.
"what is that?" Tione asked. "clouds don't always stay black, right?"
"no…they don't." said Finn as he got up from his seat and hardens his gaze in seeing the dark cloud. "this is something very….uncommon to see."
"yesterday's weather was bad. I think today will be the same." Said Loki before she made a surprised noise as she along with everyone sees the dark clouds charging with electricity at one point before a stream of pure lightning just strikes at the Babel Tower and cause an explosion upon it. "what the?!"
"That cloud just struck lightning at the Babel Tower!" Tiona exclaimed.
"look!" Tione stated as she pointed a finger in pointing out that the dark cloud started to fire more lightning blasts at the Babel tower that gets covered with more and more explosions.
"this isn't something normal!" Riveria stated while getting off her seat.
"everyone, prepare yourself!" Finn called out. "whoever attacked the Freyja Familia is probably the one attacking the Babel Tower!"
The group soon left the room as Loki stayed and watch as the dark cloud keeps on blasting lightning upon the tall tower.
"isn't that….?" Loki muttered out before her eyes opens just a sliver and has a surprised look in seeing the dark clouds slowly blowing away in revealing something hidden within it. "t-that's!"
At the area around the Babel Tower; people's panicking scream echoed out as the adventurers who were nearby started to run away as pieces of the tower were falling upon each blasts of lightning that struck it.
The Ganesha Familia went into action by evacuating everyone away from the Babel Tower.
Soon enough, Finn and his Familia came into the scene as they witnessed the destruction that is laying upon the tower that is falling into pieces.
"what do we do, Finn?!" Tiona exclaimed. "I know that we are a strong Familia, but I don't think even we can stop if that tower decides to fall!"
"why did you even think that we are going to do that!?" Tione scolded her little sister.
The Babel Tower soon had a powerful blast of lightning just striking it as crumbling pieces of it fell to the ground.
"How the fuck are we supposed to stop this?!" Bete exclaimed.
Soon, one part of the Babel Tower which was in flames started to have a bigger explosion as a stream of electricity flew out and someone soon came jumping out.
"look at that!" Gareth called out as they see someone falling from the Babel Tower and just landing in a big crash.
"who the hell jumped out of a fricking tower!?" Bete exclaimed as everyone looks at the crash and soon sees Ottar rising out while carrying his goddess in his arms.
"Ottar and goddess Freyja?" said Aiz in seeing the two.
The King of Orario placed down his goddess before he turns and sees the dark clouds that is charging electrical energy then fired a stream of lightning that flew straight to them.
"Riveria!" Finn exclaimed as he turns towards the high elf who is in the middle of a chant.
"protect us! My name is Alf!" Riveria chanted as a yellow magic barrier soon appears upon Ottar and Freyja. "Via Silfheim!"
The stream of lightning flew and soon clashes against the magic barrier that soon explodes.
"what power!" Tiona exclaimed. "Riveria's magic barrier just couldn't withstand it!"
"what are we up against?!" Tione stated as everyone turns to look at the dark clouds that started to dissipate into revealing something hidden within it.
"the clouds….are blowing away." Said Gareth as he saw something within it. "i-isn't that…"
"i-impossible. Why did it appear again?" Finn asked with wide eyes as he sees a black castle which is floating, but in an upside down position while appearing from within the storm cloud. "t-that's…"
"the Underworld Castle.." Riveria muttered out before her eyes widen in seeing static of electricity charges from the castle's towers before rains of lightning bolts flew down everywhere.
"brace yourselves!" Finn shouted as everyone ducked for cover.
The rains of lightning bolts just strikes down everywhere around the area as explosions occurred and flames littered the field.
It lasted for 5 minutes as the raining lightning bolts stopped afterwards while leaving behind a destroyed street filled with flames burning everywhere.
Finn and the others got back up as they see the utter destruction that is around them.
"this is.." Aiz muttered out with wide eyes as the flames were just everywhere.
Finn looks around before he made a noise when he spotted the cloaked hooded figure appearing while just walking within the fire.
"you there!" Finn called out while readying his spear. "halt!"
The rest of his team turns to look at the cloaked hooded figure who stopped walking before turning to look at the Familia for a moment then turns to walk away.
"hey! Don't you have ears!?" Bete shouted out as the cloaked hooded figure made his way to Ottar and his goddess who were surrounded in the flames.
Ottar turns and faced the mysterious figure who raised a metal hand out and then taunted the Boaz.
"you are.." Ottar spoke while hardening his gaze.
The cloaked figure lowers his metal hand before dashing in and strikes a kick at Ottar's chest, the Boaz grunting in pain but soon had his head grabbed and then slammed to the ground.
"y-you!" Ottar growled out before the cloaked figure sends a glowing red cross shaped single eye glare that glows very menacingly.
The cloaked figure rises and then kicks the Boaz away straight to the Babel Tower where he was punched right through the wall.
"h-hey!" Tione looks in surprise.
"who is that guy?!" Tiona exclaimed. "he's fighting the King like he's nothing!"
"could he be…." Gareth spoke out as he glances at Finn and Riveria who glanced back at him. "could it?"
The group hears explosions from within the Babel Tower as Ottar soon came flying out through a wall before crashing to the ground nearby.
"u-ugh…agh…" Ottar grunted out as he was bleeding terribly, and his body was very much bruised.
"the King…" Aiz muttered out before she hears something that made her turn and look in surprise as the cloaked figure came flying out of the Babel Tower then came down with a powerful punch send straight at Ottar's head that was pushed straight through the ground that shatters and breaks with a powerful tremor.
Finn and the others held their ground as the tremor shook powerful like an earthquake.
Ottar laid on the ground as his head is pushed deep into the dirt and he wasn't moving. The cloaked figure pulls back his fist before turning and faced the goddess Freyja who seen the entire fight.
The group nearby saw where the cloaked figure was looking as he disappeared and reappeared before Freyja who was grabbed by the neck and lifted off the ground.
"this is bad!" Tione exclaimed as the Familia went on the action. "this guy is after the entire Freyja Familia!"
"does that mean he is the one who attacked their Home in the first place!?" Tiona shouted as she readied her Urga.
The cloaked figure held and choked Freyja whose body is covered in sparkles then disappears in revealing a grey-haired teenager who wore a black and grey dress. The hooded figure looks at the teenager in his hand before he proceeds to throw her away very harshly to the ground.
"stand down!" Finn shouted as he and his Familia surrounded the cloaked hooded figure in a circle. "Reveal your identity and throw away any weapon you have in your possession!"
The cloaked hooded figure looks at Finn before to his surroundings but sets his attention to Riveria who held her staff at her side. The figure then started to take small steps in approaching her.
"stand down!" Finn exclaimed as the cloaked hooded figure didn't reply and just continued to approach Riveria who readied her staff while Tione and Tiona came to her side in protection.
"fuck this!" Bete shouted as he dashes in on the attack with Aiz doing the same.
The Vanargand and the Sword Princess went and strike their attacks at the cloaked hooded figure who suddenly stopped in his track and a magic barrier appeared in deflecting the incoming attacks.
"what the?!" Bete and Aiz looks in surprise as they were soon sent flying from a powerful shockwave that exploded from the magic barrier and flung the two away. "guh?!"
"Aiz! Bete!" Tiona cried out before she made a surprised noise as the cloaked figure grabbed her and Tione then threw them away. "whaa!?"
The two Amazons were thrown away as the cloaked hooded figure continues to approach Riveria who started to chant while taking further steps back.
"great white blizzard.." Riveria chanted as the cloaked figure approaches her step by step before he stopped a few feet away from her.
"Riveria…" a voice spoke out from the figure as it sounded very soft and gentle that it caused Riveria's eyes to widen while she stopped her incantation.
"t-that voice….!" Riveria muttered out as she lowered her staff and looks at the cloaked hooded figure who tilts his head up and a small amount of light reveals a pair of glowing ruby red eyes under the hood. "y-you are…"
The cloaked hooded figure faces Riveria before a metal right hand came out while holding out a flower that has not bloomed. The high elf princess looks at the flower before to the cloaked hooded figure who didn't speak a word yet just handed it to her.
Riveria takes the flower as its bud suddenly bloom as a yellowish green rose that is sparkling.
"Roserio Rose.." Riveria muttered out in looking at the flower before she looks at the cloaked figure and her eyes widen in seeing that he had turned to walk away then disappeared when a lightning bolt struck down to where he was.
Just disappearing into nowhere, Riveria stood in her place with the given flower in hand.
"could he be….?" Riveria muttered out as she turns and looks at the upside down floating black castle that started to fade away. "….Zagreus.."
The day was soon gone as night came.
At the Twilight Manor; the Loki Familia's executive except Riveria were gathered back for another meeting in Finn's office as they are discussing the incident that had happened at the Babel Tower.
"it reappeared after 15 years, huh?" said Loki as she sat on Finn's table while rubbing her chin a few times. "This could only mean that they have return.."
"indeed." Said Finn while nodding. "it's reappearance and the attack on the Freyja Familia are now connecting."
"But to think after 15 years, one of them would return suddenly." Gareth added in.
"hey, what are you guys talking about?" Tiona asked. "is it about that floating castle that appeared and then disappeared?"
"What do you think?" said Tione while sighing.
"do you guys also know who was that cloaked figure?" Aiz asked while blinking her eyes once. "He fought the King and just played him like he was nothing."
Finn, Loki, and Gareth looked at each other for a moment before they turn towards Aiz and the others.
"Tiona, you know the story about the 8 Knights of Justice?" Loki spoke out as Tiona made a noise before she started to think with a thumb to her chin.
"8 Knights of justice….?" Tiona muttered out as she thinks before she nodded while snapping her fingers once. "I know! It's the story of 8 heroes who band together in protecting a kingdom from evil monsters that are always arising from an unknown realm!"
"do you know the name of the kingdom?" Finn added in.
"I know! It's Orario!" Tiona answered. "the story was made by a writer who lived in Orario about a century ago; he wrote the story based on 8 adventurers who were incredibly courageous and powerful!"
"hey, we want answers on that castle!" Bete growls out. "why the fuck are we talking about an old story!?"
"the story is the answer, Bete." Said Finn while folding his hands on the table before turning to look at Tiona. "after all; the 8 adventurers who are in the story were based on real people after all."
"yeah." Tiona nodded. "I read and remembered that the 8 adventurers who are in the story have a base. A floating castle!" the Amazon then has a look of surprise towards Finn. "wait! Are you saying that the castle that we saw floating upside down by the Babel Tower is the same castle that is written in the story?!"
"that is correct" said Gareth as he has his arms crossed while he nods. "and those 8 Adventurers were real people who lived through the ages in Orario."
"Then that cloaked figure?" Tione asked. "is that guy one of the 8 adventurers?!"
"yes." Said Finn while nodding. "yes, he is."
"I'm sure Tiona knows that in the story that one of those 8 adventurers was written to be the most powerful amongst the 8, right?" said Loki as Tiona looks in more surprise.
"I know that!" said Tiona. "the story said that one of the 8 adventurers could split the sky, break the land, and dry the sea with powerful might! That cloaked guy is that powerful adventurer?!"
"indeed he is." Gareth nodded. "I do believe that you; young ones have heard the legend of Kaiser?"
"Kaiser?" Aiz muttered out.
"I heard of that legend before…" said Tione while cupping her chin. "they said that in the past, when Zeus and Hera Familia were reigning in power in Orario; they had a rival Familia whose power was at a stalemate against them. I remembered that the legend started by a man whose last name is Kaiser" The Jormungand then hardens her gaze a bit. "but I recalled that the Kaiser legend died down 15 years ago."
"it did died down, but for a good reason." Said Finn while nodding a few times before he looks at the junior members. "in any matter; the name of the cloaked figure who had attacked the Freyja Familia is a half elf man who goes by the name of Zagreus Kaiser."
"Zagreus Kaiser!? That's a legendary name alright!" said Tiona in surprise.
"legendary?" Aiz asked Tiona who nodded a few times.
"in the book of the 8 Knights, that name was always mentioned because of the feat accomplished by the Kaiser!" Tiona explained. "The living legend; Zagreus Kaiser! The man who is entitled as the Bloody Kaiser! The Leader of Orario's 8 Kaisers! The God Slayer!"
"that book wrote too much truth about him…" said Loki with a smile. "but mostly all of it are true."
"agreed" Gareth nodded before he let out a small chuckle. "I remembered how he always didn't like talking about that book written about him."
"so? This living legend Kaiser guy is the one who kicked the asses of the Freyja Familia? what is his beef?" said Bete while raising an eyebrow. "he took them all out like for two days and just made them go to bed. Why he do that?"
"Zagreus' Familia was in a very deep and hated rivalry against the Freyja Familia. the relationship was vice versa" Finn replied while leaning on his seat with his hands folded on his stomach. "I supposed that even after years of being away from Orario; his hatred for the Familia never died down."
"why did he leave Orario?" Aiz asked as Finn looks at Loki who shakes her head before to the Sword Princess.
"that is a private matter that only if a Kaiser can give permission to tell." Finn replied. "only me, Loki, Gareth, and Riveria knows why he left; but we can't disclose it to you."
Aiz just looks a bit confused before she nodded in understanding.
Before long, the group started to hear an echo of thunder as it came from outside.
"sounds like thunder..and if you can hear thunder so occasionally." Said Loki as everyone turns to look through the window where they could see the Underworld Castle appearing from dark clouds that suddenly formed and blows away. "it would mean that a Kaiser is on the move."
"uh..guys?" Tiona called out as she pointed at the Underworld Castle that is floating up before moving towards them. "is it just me or is that castle moving towards us?"
The group looks and were soon alarmed as they see bolts of electricity charging upon the Underworld Castle's towers.
"I don't like this…" said Bete while taking a step back before the group sees the Underworld Castle firing bolts of lightning that rains down right to the front gate of the Twilight Manor and caused several explosions in an instant.
"why is it attacking us?!" Tione exclaimed as the Twilight Manor was soon rained with lightning bolts from the Underworld Castle that hovers above it.
"evacuate!" Finn shouted as he saw the roof above just cracking and slowly breaking upon the blasts that is occurring outside. "Evacuate from the Home!"
The group soon heads out of Finn's office as the ceiling soon collapsed and breaks down.
A few minutes earlier at Riveria's room, the high elf is roaming through a chest that she opened and rummaging through the content.
Riveria takes out a few letters and a few old books as she keeps on rummaging the content before she made a noise and soon takes out a small-folded piece of paper tied with a string.
The high elf looks at the small item in her hands as she unfastened the string and unfolds the paper to reveal it to be a black and white photo of her with a blackish red hair half elf who wears a black jacket and jeans, the two stood very close to each other with happy smiling faces. But in the photo; there is also a silver necklace with a pendant attached. The piece of jewelry is a feather shaped Emerald gem that is encrusted into a round golden base.
"for almost 15 years…." Riveria muttered out as she picks up the necklace and looks at the jewel that glows and sparkles beautifully. "you've finally came back."
Riveria gently picks up the necklace and grasped it while holding it close to her chest. The high elf closes her eyes for a minute before she opened them to reveal her Emerald eyes that were looking so soft and gentle to the jewel in her hands.
Before long, Riveria felt a breeze fly by her as she turns and sees one of the windows to her room was opened and cold night air was flowing through.
Riveria looks at the open window as she stood up straight and went to it. As she got near; she soon felt a presence behind her and she turned to be faced to face with the hooded cloaked figure who stood within her room with her.
"Zagreus…." Riveria muttered out.
"Riveria" the hooded figure whispered out as a metal hand came out of the cloak and then took hold of the hood which was soon pulled down to reveal a young reddish white combed back spiked haired half elf man who wore an eyepatch that covers the right eye and a mask that covers the nose and mouth, leaving only the left eye open to be seen.
This half elf man is the named Zagreus Kaiser; the Bloody Kaiser and leader of the 8 Kaisers. Someone who has a deep relationship of a connection with Riveria in the past.
"Zagreus…it really is you" Riveria whispered out as her eyes shakes and started to tear up in meeting the half elf man whose gaze softens in seeing her tears that were forming. The high elf slowly reaches a hand to his face, but the Kaiser took a step back and looks down while shaking his head
"I'm sorry." Said Zagreus with a sad look. "because of how i returned so late, I betrayed you, and I made you worry so much over the years. I don't…." the Kaiser close his eye and then turns away with a guilty face. "i don't deserve to be touched nor to be near you anymore."
The high elf looks a bit confused at first before she shakes her head
"Zagreus..no.." Riveria whispered as she slowly got closer to Zagreus while gently reaching a hand towards his face. "you never betrayed me, you came back as you promised those years ago….you always keep your promises. You don't have to apologize for that."
"no….i can't accept that forgiveness of yours." Said Zagreus as he shakes his head and looks at Riveria with a sad frown. "I betrayed you…..and i couldn't keep my promise to be have your trust and love…." The Kaiser then looks down. "I no longer deserve you."
Riveria looks at Zagreus before she unfastens a few buttons of her uniform so that she could reveal her black under suit that she reaches inside and then takes out another necklace that has a golden ring with a jade gem encrusted to it. She held it near the Kaiser who saw it and frowns.
"you should've just sold or thrown that away…" said Zagreus in a sad voice. "you should've just…forget about me."
"how could i?" Riveria asked while frowning as she gently placed a hand to his cheek, Zagreus reaches a hand up to grab her, but he stopped mid-way and just pulled it down while looking down with a guilty looking face. "Zagreus, what's wrong? What do you mean that you don't deserve to be near me? And what do you mean you betrayed my trust to you? When you never betrayed me in anything?"
"i….." Zagreus whispered out before he closed his eye and then reach his right metal hand up to hold Riveria's hand which he gently pulls down and then let go. "I don't have the courage to tell you….and if I did tell you now; you would be disgusted in me and hate me." The half elf man slowly going pass Riveria and towards the opened window. "But that would be something I want for you to do. Hate me for the betrayal that I inflicted upon you."
"Zagreus, wait.." Riveria called out as she went and got in front of Zagreus before he could reach the window. "what is it that you've done? I won't ever hate you nor will I ever despise you, you should know that." The high elf gently reached a hand under his cloak and takes his hand into hers. "Zagreus, please tell me."
"I'm sorry, but I can't" said Zagreus as he gently takes his hand away. "I only came here to apologize and ask of you to forget about me. What I have done cannot be forgiven, no matter what." the half elf man then went to the window while gently pushing Riveria aside. "This is my punishment that fate has set to give to me. I can't ever let myself be forgiven by anyone, not even you." He got by the window but soon turn to look at Riveria. "but….it was good to see you again, Riveria. After 15 long years…I'm happy to just be able meet you again…..One last time."
"Zagreus…" Riveria whispered out as Zagreus has a smile underneath his half mask before he reaches a hand to his hood as he set it over his head and cover it in the shadow. The cloaked hooded half elf man now got up the window and then jumped out before disappearing in a flash of lightning. The high elf princess went near as she tried to find where the man had gone too but she was prevented when a green magic barrier covers the window and her entire room. "This is?"
Before long she started to hear explosions and soon sees the Underworld Castle floating above and firing rains of lightning bolts down upon the Twilight Manor.
"The Underworld Castle is attacking us!?" said Riveria in surprise as she soon ran to the door and was about to get out but find it locked. "What!?"
Riveria struggles against the door as it is just locked and won't budge.
The explosion continues as the rain of lightning bolts just showers upon the Twilight Manor that has walls breaking down and broken rubble falling off.
At the present time and by the Babel Tower; Zagreus walked within the shattered and broken street that he caused when he beat Ottar down to nothing. The cloaked hooded man stops by the destroyed fountain as water has flooded the ground while mixed with some rubble.
Zagreus looks at it before he turns and walk around it while not giving attention that the water and the broken rubble pieces of the fountain started to fly around before it started to repair itself in reforming the public ornament to its previous form.
The Bloody Kaiser went and stood just a few feet away from the Babel Tower as he pulls his hood down and exposes his face yet again.
"I'll be waiting for you guys to come." Said Zagreus as he raised both of his metal hands up to the night sky as electrical static started to charge around them before a powerful blast of blue lightning exploded and flew upwards.
The blast of electrical energy just flew into the sky as a shining pillar of light before a very bright blue explosion lit the sky and could be seen from dozens of miles away. The burst of energy just pulses in the sky like a beacon of some sort, and it is a beacon saw by several shadowed figures who witnessed it while being very far away from several different areas.
Zagreus continued to blast electrical energy into the sky before he stopped; he lowered his hands down as they were covered in blue static and are steaming.
"that should do it.." Zagreus muttered out as he soon went to the fountain and sat down by the bench near it. The half elf man placed his hands on his knees and leans forward. "it'll be a while, but they'll come."
Zagreus took a deep breath and then sighs before he reaches a hand under his cloak and rummaged through as he takes out a necklace with an identical ring that Riveria has with her.
"I'm sorry for betraying you." Said Zagreus as he gently holds the ring in his between his hands before he went and hold it by the fountain's water. "But you deserve someone better than me."
Zagreus held it and soon dropped the item into the fountain. The ring and necklace being heavy just sunk into the water and laid at the bottom.
"this is for the best." Said Zagreus as he looks sadly at the ring that was glowing in the water before he turns and looks away. "I don't deserve to have it anymore."
Zagreus sat silently by himself, all alone in the night that is cold and silent.
