She never liked leaving the Seelie Court.

It was her kingdom, her safe haven, her home. Trips to the outside world were too tedious for her that she usually sends out knights or pixies to do her errands. She was their Queen after all, and they do as they are told. She never cared about minor things, never even lifted a finger during the Mortal War, never did anything she was uncertain about...

And yet here she was, under a rather depressing willow tree, her long, red hair flowing like a veil down her back to the snowy ground, heavily contrasting with the white December snow. Her long dress was made of the finest silk, woven with roses and lilies. It gave very little warmth to her skin, but she didn't mind. She was here for only one reason alone.

"My beautiful one," a man's voice said from behind her and she looked around.

It still surprised her everytime he was able to sneak in behind her back. Nobody has ever done that before, but then again, Sebastian Morgenstern was not a nobody. He is Valentine's son, the blood of the demon mother Lilith running through his veins.

She took in the sight of him. Pale blond, almost silvery hair, eyes dark like bottomless pits of darkness. He was lovely for a mortal and powerful too. The Seelie Queen smiled. "My dearest," she said as she raised a hand towards his direction. The young man took it into his hands and pressed it to his lips for a gentle kiss. "No obstacles on your mission, I hope?"

Sebastian smiled, something that the queen noticed always didn't reach his eyes. The cold wind blew as the snow fell harder, whipping her hair and dress behind her. A snow storm was coming, that she knew and they were nowhere near any shelter. She opened her mouth to suggest heading back to the court, but he had already beat him to it. He pulled her close, gently, and whispered to her ear, "I think we should go." She watched him twist the Morgenstern ring on his finger and a few seconds later, they were inside what seemed like a small cottage. The blizzard was rampaging outside and the thin walls of the cottage wasn't helping with the cold.

"We should have returned to the Seelie Court instead," she said, her pink lips pressed into a thin line clearly showing her displeasure.

Sebastian ignored her and kneeled by the fireplace to make a fire with the use of a stele. Looking up at her as soon as he was done, he replied, "But we wouldn't be alone then, Your Majesty." He patted the spot next to him in front of the fire. The warmth was inviting, reeling the Seelie queen towards him. She took a seat next to him as she warmed her two hands by the fire.

Strong arms wrapped around her then, adding a different kind of warmth in her body. "Did everything went well in Moscow?" she asked, just as Sebastian placed a kiss on her neck, down to her bare shoulder.

"Of course, we're heading to Los Angeles next," he replied and the Seelie queen reached out to run her fingers through his silver curls. "We'll be ruling the world soon, you and I," he finished saying, his face just a few inches from hers.

Her gaze warmed, and she pushed him onto his back and straddled him, her thighs on either side of his waist and her hands placed gently against his cheeks. She leaned down and kissed him, knowing fully well that she was on thin ice. They were lovers, yes, but betrayal is looming around the corner, more on his side than hers.

But she is the Seelie queen, the lady of the court, the queen of the Fair folk, and she knew better than to anger an ally as powerful as Sebastian Morgenstern, so she laughed, giving nothing away. It sounded like a tinkle of bells, a symphony.

His whole body arched upward, cutting her laughter short as he pressed his lips to hers, desperate and crazed as he flipped them over, her back now against the wooden floor.

She made a sound when he pressed his hips to hers, the evidence of his desire hard against her, and he pulled his mouth away. "Promise me," he said, his dark eyes like onyxes. "Promise me you won't turn your back on me."

The queen's blue eyes sharpened, knowing fully well that a promise will bind her forever. "I promise never to leave your side," she said carefully before pulling his head down and thrusting her tongue into his mouth.
