Third Person's POV
Jaelyn stops at the front of the school and then looks up at it.
'This is going to be a long year'
She starts her walk towards the Principal's Office to give in her transcript.

After handing in her transcript, Jaelyn makes her way to her first class. As she walks she takes in all the people and scenery around her.
'Old habits never break. Especially if its ninja habits'
She sighs as she walks into the classroom. Most kids are up and making a commotion while others are talking or sitting being quiet. Jaelyn spots a girl in yellow sitting by herself while writing in a notebook, so she walks over.
"Excuse me?" Jaelyn says tapping the girl in yellow's shoulder. The girl jumps a bit looking up.
"Oh, yeah?" She asks. Jaelyn smiles and motions to the seat next to her.
"Is this seat taken?" Jaelyn asks. The girl smiles and shakes her head.
"No, I'm Kira, Kira Ford" Kira says sticking out her hand. Jaelyn shakes her hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Kira. I'm Jaelyn Watanabe" Jaelyn smiles. "But you can call me Jay, or JJ"
"It's nice to meet you too, Jay" Kira says letting go of Jaelyn's hand as Jay sits down next to her. The two girls start to talk about what she's writing as they wait for the new science teacher.

A man, no later than is mid 30's, walks through the door.
"Guys settle down!" He calls out over the yelling. "Take your seats please"
Jaelyn and Kira both look up from talking to the man who walked in. Jaelyn glances over him taking all the details.
"I'm Doctor Oliver and this is first period science" He says standing in front of the class. "Before we start, does anyone have any questions?"
A young woman in the front raises her hand.
"Yes" Doctor Oliver says pointing to her. She stands.
"Cassidy, Cassidy Cornell" Everyone groans. "Doctor Oliver, as you may know I'm the anchor and field reporter for our school TV station" they all groan again. "Anyway I'm sure viewers are wondering, well you don't really look old enough to be a teacher" Cassidy stops for a second before turning to the young man next to her. "Devan are you getting this?" She asks harshly.
"Cassidy, I promise you I'm old enough, so lets put the camera away" Doctor Oliver says.
"You missed it" Cassidy hisses at Devan.
"For now let's talk about you guys, what you expect from yourselves in this class cause that's what is really important" Doctor Oliver says, he then look to an empty chair. "Is, uh, someone missing?"

I sit behind Kira, drawing a dragon, as she sits on the picnic table with her guitar and sings.

Everyone who had gathered around cheer as she finishes but then Randall appears. I internally groan.
"Ms. Ford, I'm afraid you need written permission to perform on school grounds, let's go" Randall says not looking at Kira, I roll my eyes.
"Are you aware that kids who play a instrument have a 50% higher chance of getting into college?" I ask her with a sweet smile. She glances at me, then to my sketchbook, and back at me.
"Well, either of you are hardly college material, now are you?" She asks looking to Kira than back to me. I sneer at her. "Now both of you come with me"
I roll my eyes at her as she walks away. Kira gets up as I grab my bookbag and put away my sketchbook. I jog to catch up.
As we start to walk back into the school, the sprinklers turn on everyone jumps while I just groan and look down at my clothes.
"Come on, these are new" I whine.
"You got to be kidding me" Kira cries.
"Ethan James" Randall glares at the boy in blue with a umbrella. "I should have known"

"Sit" She barks at the four of us, pointing to four chairs before her office.
"Principal Randall, I'd just like to mention that fact that there's absolutely no hard evidence linking me to that unfortunate sparkler incident" Ethan explains. I roll my eyes as the two other students glare at him.
"Save it for Judge Judy, Mr. James. The four of you have detention for one week starting today. Now, if there are no further questions" Randall tells us.
"What?" Kira asks.
"I have practice" Conner yells.
"I have computer club" Ethan cries.
"I don't think so" Randall yells and walks into her office.
"My brother is going to kill me if he finds out I got detention on the first day" I sigh, slouching into the chair.
"Okay, somebody seriously needs a hug" Kira says leaning into the chair.
"More like somebody just has a stick up their ass" I grumble, from the side of my eye I see Kira restrain from smiling. Connor leans forward to look at Ethan.
"Dude, computer club?" He asks.

"That should be sufficient torture for them" Randall says as she walks over to us with Doctor Oliver. I stare at her with a emotionless 'fuck you' face. "You've all met, I trust. Well, enjoy your little outing"
Randall walks off as Doctor Oliver looks to us. I lean next to Kira with my bookbag on my right shoulder. Doctor Oliver takes off his glasses.
"So, you guys like museums?" He asks.
I lean towards Kira a bit more.
"Is it bad that I kinda want to say 'yes'?" I whisper to her. She looks to me and shakes her head in amusement. I just smile, shrugging.

"Woah! Check out the T-Rex" Ethan says excitingly. I smirk as I look over to him.
"I'm more of a dragon girl, Ethan" I tell him, patting his shoulder. He smiles towards me. We get out the car and walk to the front, where a closed sign is shown.
"That's weird" Doctor Oliver says taking off his glasses again.
"Oh well, no museum for us" Conner says.
"Great, let's go home" Kira says, I look over at Doctor Oliver as he speaks.
"I'll tell you what, why don't you guys look around the grounds, if any of you guys find anything prehistoric, I'll cancel detention for the rest of the week" He offers. The corner of my lip twitches from restraining to smirk.
"Sweet" Ethan says.
"I'm going to see if I can find somebody who can tell us when they're opening up" Doctor Oliver explains. We all turn away and walk over to the woods next to the museum.

"So let me get this straight, they have a club just for computers?" Conner asks. Kira and I roll out eyes.
"Hey did you guys ever hear about that guy that was hiking up here and fell in a giant sinkhole?" Ethan asks.
"Must of missed that one" Kira says looking around with me.
"I just moved here so I wouldn't have" I say shrugging.
"Come on, it was on all the urban legend websites" Ethan says walking backwards as he talks to us.
"Dude, you know this isn't computer club, right?" Conner asks.
"Oh, I guess you're to big and bad to surf the web. Well what do you do in your spare time?" Ethan asks.
"Who me? I go out with girls, you know they're the ones at school that smell really good, long hair, and makeup" Connor explains. I look him up and down from where Kira and I are walking behind the two boys. I turn to Kira with a disgusted look. She giggles quietly.
"Oh it's like that, isn't it?" Ethan says turning to Connor and hitting his shoulder.
"Yeah, it's like that" Conner shoots back.
I snort and walk away from them as Kira follows.
"Whatever" She says with annoyance in her voice.
"Hey, you two are bound to warm up to me sooner or later" Conner shrugs. I laugh.
"Yeah, right" I say over my shoulder. I turn around. "I'm more into the older and mature type of guys. There's certainly none of them going to Reefside High"
"All I'm trying to do is give you guys the heads up. Stuff happens out here, just don't come crying to me when you fall in a giant sinkhole" Ethan explains, right before he falls into a hole, the three of us following.

I land on my feet as the others land on their stomachs. I look up at how high it is to see if I could ninja streak up and get some help as the others start to get up, when I remember that nobody outside the ninja academies can know about, well ninjas.
"Alright, you guys stay here where it's safe. I'll climb up and come back with some help" Conner explains looking up too. I raise my eyebrow, knowing he won't get far.
Conner starts to climb up as we stand back, though, like I thought, he doesn't even get 4 feet off the ground before he falls.
"Back already?" I ask as Ethan goes to help him up. "I think the only way to go is in" I say. Catching them nod I start to walk ahead.

"How are you so calm?" Kira asks before going back to singing. I shrug, knowing it's from my ninja power being from shadows and the dark.
"Babe, can you keep it down? I'm trying to stay focused here" Conner tells her. Kira pauses for a second.
"Did you just call me babe? Did he just call me babe?" She asks turning to Ethan and I. I shrug again.
"I don't know, I wasn't listening. I was still grooving to your tunes" Ethan says shrugging. She walks over to Conner. He looks down at her.
"What?" He asks. "Just chill out will ya?"
"Listen my name is Kira. Maybe you should write it on your hand or something, so you can remember" Kira explains. I smirk at her.
"If he knows how to spell" I snark, walking further into the cave. I feel Conner's glare on my head as Ethan quietly laughs and Kira snickers.
Ethan and Kira follow my lead and continue to walk while Conner's eyes move to stare at Kira's retreating back.

"This screams, Jurassic Park to me" Kira tells us as we all look at a dinosaur head. I nod, agreeing with her.
"This will get us out of detention forever" Conner explains as he moves his hand to grab it.
"Do you think you should-" Kira starts but is cut off by the jar off the dinosaur head moving and Ethan's 'Woah'.
The wall next to us shifts up showing a open room with computers. We all start to walk in, looking around.
'Why does this place give me the same safe feeling as Ninja Ops?'
"I could do a crazy video in here" Kira excitingly says turning in a circle.
"Woah, eh, this must be like the mother ship for you, dude" Conner pats Ethan on the arm as he walks by him.
"Normally, I'd be insulted, but when you're right, you're right" Ethan tell him as Connor walks over to this huge rock with four small different colored gems. "Yo, don't touch that, man!"
"Why not?" Conner asks as Kira and I walk over to the boys.
"You're really taking this dumb jock thing to a whole new level" Ethan explains to him as us two girls stand next to them.
"Look, I have sat through enough lame science classes to know that thing looks pretty prehistoric and if I don't have to miss practice" Conner tells him.
"I hate to agree with him, really, I do. But I already missed one rehearsal" Kira says. I tilt my head agreeing.
"And if my brother finds out I got detention on the first day he will actually kill me" I say.
We all look over to the gems. Kira goes for the yellow one, Conner to the red, and Ethan to the blue, while I have my eyes set on the green one. As we pick them up they glow.
"Well, what are they?" Kira asks.
"I can go online later and see if I can find out" Ethan says.
"You on front of a computer, wait, let me put on my surprised face" Conner says sarcastically. I roll my eyes.
"You know, ten years from now, when your hairline is reseeding and your playing pick up soccer in the park because your dreams of turning pro never quiet worked out, I'll have my own multi-billion dollar software business" Ethan explains to him, smiling by the end. Kira turns and starts to walk away. "Where are you going?" Kira turns back to us.
"I don't want to think about what kind of freak lives in a place like this. And I sure don't want to be here when he gets home" Kira tells us turning back away from us and walking away. Conner looks to Ethan and I.
"Right behind you" He says as we start to move towards the entrance.

"This way!" Ethan yells as we make it to the surface. "A compass. We need a compass! Anyone have a compass?"
"And I was going to bring one" Conner sarcastically says.
"What was that?" Ethan asks after something blew our way.
"The wind?" Kira says unsure.
"That ain't the wind, as much as we would like it to be, it ain't" I tell her as I look around stiffly.
A bright flash of green flashes as ugly dinosaur things appear all around us.
"Don't move" Conner whispers.
"Great idea, make it easy for them" Kira sarcastically retorts.
"New plan, run!" Ethan yells as we turn away.
They chase us to a ditch. Ethan, Conner, and I jump over, but Kira doesn't. We race back towards her.
"Come on!" Conner yells as we pull her up, but we don't get so far as Kira trips and falls. Kira screams as they come closer, but not a normal scream a sonic like scream. I wince from the high pitch noise as the boys put their hands over their ears. The monsters get pushed back from the yellow colored sound waves.
We look to each other and run to Kira helping her up.
"Help her up" Conner says.
"What was that?" Ethan asks as we look to the monsters.
"I have no idea" She says, but than looks down to the yellow gem as it glows.
After the gem glowed the monsters recovered and started to run towards us.
"You know what" I say as a slow to a stop and turn to the monsters that followed me. "I'm done running"
Two monsters run at me and swing, but I see it coming and dodge the swings, knocking them both down from a kick to their legs.
'Two down 4 to go'
I back flip from the ground over another's head. I do a round house kick at the one in front of me when I felt movement behind me, I jump up and kick it in the head as I turn around. As I deal with that one I don't see or hear the one that sneaks up behind me causing me to teleport behind it and kick it done before I turn to the last and punch it down.
I look down at myself as I realized I teleported. I then pick up the green gem, to see it glow.
"Woah" I say as I see a big green zord like dragon, roar. "The hell-"
"Over here!" I hear Conner yell over to everyone. I look over to where his voice came from and ran that way. I met Kira on the way there.
"Yeah! How much do I love detention" Ethan says excitedly, I laugh breathlessly.
"Hey!" We hear someone call out. We turn to see Doctor Oliver and stuff the gems in our pockets. "Are you guys alright?"
"Yeah" Ethan says as I hum, agreeing. "Couldn't be better"
"Nothing out of the ordinary happen?" He asks. I look at him curiously.
"Nah, just your, uh, routine hike in the woods" I tell him as everyone nods.
"Lot's of furry little creatures" Ethan tells him.
"And a few scaly ones" Kira mutters looking down. I turn my head down slightly to hide my amused smile. Doctor Oliver looks to Kira with a slightly worried, but confused look.
"So you get into the dino exhibit?" Conner asks getting the attention off of Kira.
"Uh, still working the kinks out" Doctor Oliver says looking at us nervous, but suspiciously. "Better get you guys back, come on" He says turning away.
"I'm going to walk ahead, just know that my opinion about telling him it not doesn't matter" I tell them before ahead closer to Doctor Oliver.
"Hey, Doctor Oliver?" I ask he turns to me as I walk up next to him. "You just moved here right?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?" He asks. I shrug.
"No real reason, I just moved here too. I was just going to ask where you moved here from" I tell him. He nods.
"I moved here from Angel Groves" Dr. Oliver answers, glancing at me from the corner of his eye. I nod, trying to hide the realization, but doubt in my eyes. Dr. O than looks at the others, who're walking super slow and talking quietly with each other.
"You guys coming?" He asks. They look at each other and start to walk faster.

"Ok, so we all agree, no one talks about thus to anyone, no matter what" Conner says as we walk in a group.
"I can do better than that. I'm out of it" She says as she places the yellow gem in Conner's hand. "Just forget I was here, and I'll do the same"
"What? Kira," I try, but stop knowing it's no use.
"Wait, how come he gets it?" Ethan asks. Kira rolls her eyes.
"Well here!" She shouts slapping the gem into Ethan's hand after she took it from Conner. "You know what, I give up!"
Kira starts to walk away, when the wind picks up.
"Oh you got to be kidding me" Kira says looking around.
The monster things appear again, but this time going after Kira only.
"Kira!" Conner and I yell as Ethan looks over wide eyed. We get so close, but they take her quickly. The only thing left that shows that Kira was here is her yellow bookbag on the ground forgotten.
"Kira!" Conner yells. I look down at her bookbag and pick it up. I look back up to the boys than back to where the green light showed.
"Oh no" I whisper.
"She's gone" Ethan claimed.

"Okay, so where are we going!?" I yelp as I slide from side to side in Conner's car.
"Uh, Dr. Oliver's?" Ethan says unsure.
"What's he gonna do?" Conner asks.
"He's a dinosaur guy, these things are dinosaurs, sort of" Ethan explains. I squint my eyes slightly, half thinking on the conclusion.
"Yeah, okay" I say.
"Alright, so where's he live?" Conner asks quickly.
"Uh, 1992 Valencia Road" Ethan tells him after looking it up.
"Valencia Road, that's, that's like way out in the middle of the woods" As Conner says, he starts to speed up even more.

Conner drives down a small path and parks in front of a nice house that's not small, but isn't really big. It seems cozy.
We rush out of the car and up to the front door. Ethan knocks on the door while Conner looks through the window and I look around the front yard.
"Knock again" Conner tells Ethan as I look back to them.
"Now what?" Ethan asks us as no body answers. Conner walks over to Ethan and turns the knob. The door opens. My eyes widen.
"What are you doing?" I ask him. Conner looks to me.
"Why would he leave it unlocked?" Conner asks.
"He's got no neighbors" Ethan offers him an answer as I peak into the house looking around.
"What you never hear of the Three Bears?" Conner asks as he follows me.
"Is that the last book you read?" Ethan snarks back. I roll my eyes and look back at them.
"Could you two be quiet for 5 minutes?" I ask turning away to look around more.
"Dr. Oliver!" Conner calls out as we walk into a room.
"Hello?" Ethan calls out too.
"Guys, check it out" Conner says as he sees a skeleton of a dinosaur. I give him a dead ass look.
"Hey, remember what happened the last time you did that?" Ethan says.
"Dude, the guy's a teacher, not-" Conner cuts himself off as he lowers the jaw of the dinosaur skeleton which opens a secret passage on the ground. "Batman"
We walk down the stairway into a room that looks like the place where we got the gems. A quick glance around allows me to know it's the same place.
"This is the same place" Ethan whispers to us.
"Are you freaking out right now?" Conner asks as we walk into the open area of the room.
"Yeah, I have to say I am" Ethan says as they look around again while I turn to where I felt a presence. I see Doctor Oliver walk out.
'Ninja training will never let me down'
I internally cringe at the stern look with a tinge of annoyance.
"If you're looking for extra credit, you're in the wrong place" Dr. Oliver says as the boys turn to see him standing behind him. I sigh heavily and worriedly.
'This is going to be fun'
