Many years ago…

In the middle of a forest on the top of a mountain, two men were facing off against each other, all around them winds blew fiercely and above their heads a giant storm with green, red, yellow, and blue lightning sparking out from it.

"Hand it over!" An elderly man stood in front of another, younger man who looked similar to him, but younger, clutching a black stone to his chest as if his life depended on it.

"You have no idea how invaluable this object could be to us and the other Masters, Father!" The younger man shouted back as he tightened his grip on the stone and the storm overhead worsened.

"You mean to you! A power like that could be used to conquer all of time."

"Well it's as I tell my children, 'control time, control everything'." The man started to grin maniacally as the storm overhead worsened by spreading out further and further over the lands below the mountains.

"Then I'm afraid you leave me no choice Hendrix… Ronnie now!"

Another young man with a streak of orange in his cropped black hair jumped down from the trees and landed in front of Hendrix and thrust his hands out to strike him with a gust of wind, knocking him down and sending the stone out of his grasp long enough for him to retrieve it.

"NOO!" The elderly shouted as he made a last attempt to save his work by tackling Ronnie, making him fall to the ground and scrape the hand holding the stone in before the elderly man from before

"By the bonds of time, I expel this artifact to a moment far from our reach and to preserve itself from the grasps of evil."

The stone lifted into the air before zooming right for the center of the storms, making them disappear in a burst of light before the night went back to normal.

"What have you done?!" Hendrix yelled hysterically before Horace responded without facing him,

"Putting it where it belongs… out of your reach." Turning to face him with a saddened gaze before saying, "And now, I'm afraid is the time for you to face justice for your attempted domination. You are hereby banished to the lands beyond the village, never to return."

Ronnie used his wind to lift the man who yelled down to the two of them before the streams carried him away while struggling,

"I will have my vengeance and when I do you all will pay!" Ronnie had heard enough and used his powers to send him away to the badlands beyond the mountain surrounded village.

"I'm sorry, Horace, it must have been hard to have to banish your own son." Ronnie consoled Horace as he put his injured hand on his shoulder. Horace watched the slow rising of dawn in the distance as he spoke grimly,

"He brought it on himself for thinking he could create something of that magnitude and get away with it. Now we can only hope that it will stay out of the wrong hands..."

Present Day

Aeria's Dream...

I was back at the ninjas' old monastery, vines and plants growing over the burned rubble and slash marks over the decaying wood. A rustling noise caught my attention as I saw two dark figures scurry around me and whispers were heard.

"Hello?" I pulled my bow off my back and nocked an arrow ready to fire at whatever was circling me.

"Hello Wiater..." I turned around and loosed the arrow, only to come face to face with Krux and Acronix, Acronix catching the arrow with his powers before making it fall harmlessly to the ground.

"You're supposed to be lost!" I reached to my quiver to pull another arrow, but suddenly my limbs felt like they were locked in place, unable to move.

"We're the lost ones?" Both of them chuckled as they started to blip in and out of my sight while I struggled to move until they both appeared right in front of me with weapons raised before I shouted,

"Enough!" Freeing myself with a gust of wind before I was sent tumbling down a dark hole until I landed on bright green grass. Looking around, I saw that I was near a village, surrounded by towering mountains and the houses were all on stilts with vines crisscrossing across the streets on the thatched roofs of the buildings.

"What the…?" I turned around trying to figure out where I was when I heard a voice call out,

"Ari!" I turned to see a man who looked like an older version of my brother Morro, but with a streak of orange in his hair instead of green or purple like mine, standing next to a woman with long brown hair with a purple dragonfly clip in her hair standing together down the street.

"Mom? Dad?" I recognized them and smiled before starting to run to them just before Krux and Acronix appeared behind them with their weapons raised.

"No!" I held out a hand and the last thing I saw was my parents' terrified faces as they held each other in fear.

3rd Person POV

"Aah!" Aeria bolted upright in her bed, clutching her chest where her heart was beating away rapidly. She was taking deep breaths to calm down when she heard a dark voice that would've freaked out anyone else but to her… it was just mildly annoying.

Same nightmare again…?

"What gave that away?" Aeria snapped back snarkily before rubbing her eyes and getting up to stretch before saying, "Sorry Storm… I'm just getting tired of having the same dream where I still have no idea what my dad did to Krux and Acronix with their grandpa or whatever..."

Maybe you should just forget about it, it's not worth driving yourself crazy over something one of your dead relatives did a long time ago.

"Gee thanks for the words of wisdom." Aeria noticed the time before exclaiming, "Aww man, I'm supposed to be running errands already."

She hurriedly threw on some clothes, tied her purple bandana into her hair like a headband, and grabbed her helmet off her dresser before going to search for her black jacket after she pulled her boots on.

"Has anyone seen my jacket?" Aeria called out as she exited her room and started looking for it.

From the living room, Kai and Jay looked at each other even more panicked as they tried to scrub melted looking white stuff on said jacket off. In the background, or more specifically the kitchen, Zane and Xia were making breakfast

"Hurry up she's gonna kill us if she sees it!" Jay whisper yelled.

"Well whose idea was it to see if I could melt marshmallows in midair?"

"Yours!"

"We warned you that such a dare would have resulted in catastrophe." Xia pointed out as she poked her head out from the kitchen before disappearing just as a voice asked,

"Guys?" And Jay and Kai turned to see Aeria standing there with a confused look on her face.

"Ahh!" Both boys held up their hands in front of their faces, awaiting the inevitable yelling and threats of one on one sparring with her once Aeria saw what they did.

"Let me guess… you guys tried to see if Kai could melt things in midair again?"

"Yeah?" Kai answered nervously, still holding his hands up with his eyes screwed shut.

"Guess I'll be making a stop to the dry cleaners on the way to the hardware store." Aeria commented mildly as she took her jacket off the table and tossed it over her arm, being careful of the sticky substance. She was double-checking she had everything when she looked up to see Jay and Kai looking at her in utter surprise.

"What?"

"You're not mad?" Kai questioned, still on edge.

"Oh I'm furious, but I figured I try to not get mad so often especially considering..." She motioned to her head right before both of her eyes darkened and Storm moved to put a hand on her hip as she spoke,

"Considering what? That these two can be complete knuckleheads?"

"Hey!" Jay and Kai shouted indignantly and Storm shot them an irritated look that they cowered from before her eyes went back to normal and Aeria admitted,

"Well yeah there's that but mostly because of how I've still been on edge from what Krux and Acronix told me… about..."

"Your dad...?" Jay questioned delicately, worry starting to show.

During their first fight with Acronix at the Ninjas' old monastery, he had claimed to recognize Aeria from somewhere and when her powers over the wind had been shown he then claimed to have known her father. Throughout their encounters with the Time Twins afterward, Aeria had continually demanded to know how they knew her father, but all Krux would reveal was that the "Wayward Wiater" was a shame to all Elemental Masters and that she would be no different.

"Yeah..." Aeria looked down before shaking her head and telling them, "I'll be back later."

"Your breakfast to go is on the table!" Xia informed her and Aeria quickly grabbed the small wrapped bundle and shouted a muffled 'thanks' as she quickly shoved the whole thing into her mouth before hurrying to the lower deck to her motorcycle, placing all her cargo in the special containment box Nya and Xia added to the back, pulling on her helmet, and lowering the ramp to ride off for the city at blazing speeds.

Shortly after, Lloyd appeared from his room already dressed in his gi and strapping a blade to his back.

"Did Aeria just leave?" He asked as he brushed some of his bed head hair out of his eyes.

"Yeah you literally just missed her." Jay informed him as he tried and failed to get the marshmallow goop off the couch but ended up sticking his hand to it.

"Do I even want to know what happened here?" Lloyd gave them an uncertain look.

"No." Jay and Kai spoke at the same time with a shared deadpan look before Jay asked,

"Hey you noticed she's been thinking too hard about her dad since we defeated Krux and Acronix."

"Yeah but… she still won't talk about it, not even with me..." Lloyd's shoulders drooped down a bit dejectedly.

"Woah that's how you know she really doesn't want to talk about something." Kai pointed out which only made Lloyd look even more down and Jay elbowed his side with a deadpan look.

"What's goin' on out here?" Nya showed up with a wrench in hand and a rag to clean up her oil-stained face.

"More important, what happened to you?"

"Engine's busted, I've been waiting for Riri to get back with the parts we need to fix it otherwise the Bounty's gonna grounded for awhile."

"'Riri'?"

"It's my nickname for Aeria."

"How come we can't call her that?"

"Maybe I should've emphasized the 'my' part of that."

"Well I'm glad someone's getting through to her to where she'll let you call her that." Lloyd crossed his arms a bit moodily as he looked at the ground.

"Don't forget she's only been on the team for a few months already, she's still settling into her new position after being on the run for so long and after coming to the future from the past." Nya reminded him with a comforting pat on the shoulder before adding, "Still wish we could've asked Master Wu about how exactly that stone of hers brought her here and if we should even be keeping something that powerful..."

"Let's worry about one thing at a time, first of which is training." Lloyd reminded them, "Just because Master Wu is lost in time doesn't mean we go soft."

The four of them were about to head to the training room when Zane and Xia appeared with trays of food and Zane questioned,

"What about breakfast?"

Prompting them to backtrack before Lloyd added,

"After breakfast."

The ninja all sat down to eat some of Xia's famous fluffy pancakes and were too busy discussing possible plans for the team that they didn't notice a shadowy figure coming out from Aeria's room, disappearing through the walls of the ship.

AN- Welcome to the Sequel! This was a couple of months in the making and I am really hoping to update this every Friday or weekend day since I have about a month's worth of up to 2,000 words chapters to update now to give myself time to write the next chapters. I will try to stick with that update schedule, but with school and a part-time job in the mix along with trying to finish up the Age of Ultron segment of my Avengers OC Insert story, I can't make any definite promises. A couple of concepts from the Lego Ninjago Movie OC Insert will be introduced later on in the story so I hope you all enjoy that if you're a fan of the movie, if not then they will still be fun to read.
