Heya everybody, Hex here with a new obsession of mine, RWBY!With a one shot based on all the shipping Ruby gets and I noticed she was always the innocent one.

This idea came around after another one where I though of a fic where Yang would just get very drunk, inspired by The Living Tombstone, Drunk song.

Penny gave Ruby as a sign of friendship her luck bracket as a sign lf their friendship and Ruby quickly discovers that everybody she ever knew fell in love with her.

Chapter 1

Today is a quiet day at Beacon, the sun was shining bright and hot, like every casual saturday, the RWBY team leader, Ruby decided to spend time with each others at Vale, the four of them. or atleast, that's what she thought.

"Woo, holidays are so cool guys!"

"Mmph!" mimic the ice queen, "How can you be so childish Ruby!"

"Well she's not wrong-" The cat faunus retorted, "Of course it is! But as a leader, you gotta be ready for any type of situation you may encounter, and holidays could be about those!"

"Those situations?" Ruby asked clueless of the little speech of her teammate.

Yang noticing the situation, wrapped her arms around the twos, leaving Blake behind, "Aww Ice queen, give her a break, she has been studying the whole week, let her have a moment of joy!" Said the tonic blond while patting her two friend shoulders jokingly.

"Mmph. Fine, so what shall we do for today then?" The ice queen asked, Ruby started thinking of what they could do at Vale, maybe they could go listen to music while eating ice cream, or maybe go do a sport, they could do a little game of basket ball with two on the same team or-

"Huff-!"

Ruby that was lost in her thoughts, bumped into someone and fell over to the ground, "Woah, Ruby you okay?" Asked her bigger sister as she landed a hand to get up. Ruby gracefully grabbed it and stood up with a bit of help, as she removed the dust off her battle uniform.

"Oh, hi Rubes!" A small high pitched voice said before her, she took a good look at her and realized that she bumped into Penny.

"Oh, Penny! I'm sorry to have bumped to you." Ruby excused herself while Penny looked at her with big round green eyes.

"Uh so, how are you doing Penny...?" Ruby giggled out of embarrassement, "Oh Ruby! You'll never guess what I got for my day!" Penny exclaimed, holding the shoulders of Ruby frantically. "Your day?" Blake asked as Penny was making her scene.

"Yes! It is the best gift for the best girl! It's..." Penny started to mimic drum rolls as she teased the others that apart of Ruby, was getting irritated.

"Ta-da!" Penny stook out a locket from her pocket and showed it up to Ruby's face suddenly.

"...Uh, a locket?" Weiss asked, curious of the meaning for such a hype.

"Cool, where did you get that cool thing?" Yang cutted off Weiss, trying to build a friendly conversation.

Ruby looked at the shining locket Penny hold in her hands. The locket was shaped like a heart, the front and back was covered of a red, gloomy stone material that managed to shine through the sun light, at closer inspection, it seemed possible to open it. "Penny, can I have a quick look at it?" Ruby asked dumbfounded by the jewel.

"Sure Ruby, but I would like that we went on to something while you do." Penny replied calmly before grabbing Ruby's arm, "Going wha-" Ruby tried asking before suddenly getting pulled away quickly by Penny, off to something else.

"...Should we do something?" Blake asked after having spectated the scene as she turned to Weiss and Yang surprised of Ruby's land off. "She'll probably be fine." Weiss quickly brushed off as she headed off to another direction, "I hope so, I bet she'll be fine." Yang tried to convinced herself as she followed the rest of the group as Ruby was getting dragged through the entire city.

"Waaa-, Penny stop!" Ruby begged as she probably did half of Vale by now.

Penny stopped almost instantly and turned to Ruby as they stopped in front of a huge, giant shopping mall with thousands of light shining through it's glass structure.

"Let's have a shopping day Ruby!" Penny blurted to her as she stopped her grasp on Ruby's half broken hand. "Uh Penny, I don't need any clothes, do you?", Penny nodded at Ruby and enteted into the mall,

Ruby followed her as she got into a incredibly grand and beautiful lighten up place, Penny looked at the shining lights with big eyes.

"This... Is awesome! Look there's a noodle stand, an ice cream stand, a weapon shop and- and!" Penny quickly dragged into each shop she could see, "and even a mall!"

Ruby looked around dumbfounded, trying to piece together where she was as she noticed that she was next to a table.

"Yeah, we are in a shopping mall.." Ruby stated as she gained her breath of all the running around.

"I know!" Penny exclaimed popping out her finger in the air, "Let's get these things!" she pointed to some machines, slushies machines, one was blue, second yellow and the last one red.

Ruby raised her eyebrow, "Slushies?". "They're called Slushies, that's fun! I love the name!" Penny bolted in excitment.

She walked toward the three machines and looked at them, rolling this strange colored ice in a circle.

"Want to get one?" Ruby asked, noticing Penny's sparkling eyes at the movement of the roller. "Hu-Yes! Gimme gimme gimme!" Penny screamed out excited as she jumped in place as Ruby walked over to the shopkeeper and asked for two slushies, one red in the taste of strawberry and one...

Ruby looked over to and asked, "Penny! which color do you want?"

"Greeeeen!" Penny blurted out as she continued watching the machines. 'Go for a yellow one I guess...' she thought as the shopkeep moved over to the three big machines that were the star of Penny's show.

"Wow Ruby, these things are pretty tasteless." Penny said after she sipped at her pseudo-drink with a blank expression. "Well, it's like ice... Do you feel temperatures Penny?" Ruby asked as she realized, maybe Penny can't taste and smell?

"Tempe-what?" Penny said as she turned her attention away from the pseudo-drink with a confused look, "Well... Y-you know, when it's good, the smell of a... Uh flowers. Stuff like that." Ruby explained, feeling a bit odd. "A-and you know, tastes too! Like chocolate or vanilla, these are very good tastes..." Penny looked at her with big green eyes again, "...It's from the mouth?".

Penny stayed quiet, quietly thinking and or processing Ruby's explanation. She stayed with a blank expression before exclaiming "I do friend, that's how I can find you."

"Ex-Excuse me?" Ruby putted down her slushie as she gazed in realisation of something, "Yes friend, I can feel taste, temperatures and odor! My father did so I could feel all the joy in life of every inches!"

"You tasted me?" Ruby said while starting to get terrified as Penny continued looking at her with these big, round green eyes.

"No friend, your odor is very different of others! I recognize it very easily." Penny stated, "Oh phew. I thought you JoJoed me."

Ruby sighed in relief, she holded her hand upon her chest as she took deep breaths, "Ruby, this afternoon has been going great and I'm happy that you are here with me to participate." Penny stood up from her chair and started giving a little speech out loud, people around them started staring at the two. "Y-yes Penny, it's also ni-"

"It's also nice to be with you too!" Penny cutted Ruby off as a big smile came up on her face, feeling satisfied, she sitted back to her chair and continued swallowing the rest of her pseudo-drink. Ruby was confused to say the least, she noticed Penny's pseudo-drink was almost empty, 'Didn't she said she didn't like it?' she thought as she brushed it off, going back to her very own slushie.

"Oh, Ruby!" Penny said out loud as she stood up again, Ruby rolled her eyes before looking back to Penny while sipping on her slushie. "I forgot why I did this is in the first place. As you are my friend and today is my day. I decided to declare that if you ever need someone in your life, I will be grateful to take this role Ruby." Ruby spitted out her drink suddenly as Penny's proposal got everybody's attention in the café. Ruby on the other hand, looked up at Penny, noticing that her look which was mostly happy and joy, turned to a serious, sincere look, as Penny gazed down on Ruby's silvers. Penny started taking something off that was wrapped around her neck, this object being: the bracket.

"Take this Ruby, I want you to have it." Everybody in the café awwwed at the two supposed lovers, as Penny landed out her bracket to Ruby, Ruby landed her hand in a platform, close together as the bracket fell into them, "P-Penny I- is..." Ruby's mind was processing what just happened and it's meaning.

Everybody was chattive around the mall now, more so in the café about the two and her supposed proposition. Ruby's face was red in shame, feeling embarrassed while Penny looked pretty happy. "Penny..." Ruby tried to say, as her little voice barely managed to got out a word. "C-c-can we go?" She said with a shaky voice due to the embarassement, Penny just got up and landed her hand to Ruby "Let's go friend!", Ruby took her hand as she looked at the crowd besides them, looking at them with adoring eyes and some thumbs up in the air.

Ruby and Penny walked out of the mall, the sun was setting down to let a soothing moon come in place as the sky darkened. Ruby was red as her cloak before noticing that her scroll started vibrating, or so it felt like a start as when she pull it up, she saw hundreds and upon thousands of messages from her teammates.

Most the thousands coming from Yang and Weiss, and suprisingly a hundred of Blake. Scrolling down, Jaune send just three messages before finishing with:

-Message me back when you'll be done, I need to talk to you.

-Of course I hope you didn't get killed

-heheh

"Hey Ruby, look at how dark it is now!" Ruby could barely struggle her vibrating Scroll, making it slippery for her hand as messages and messages were sent, funnily enough the only one that popped out of the norm were the single ones, coming from Ren and Pyrrha for example.

"Ye-yeah Penny, I should get going... wai-wait what's the time!?"

"Oh about, nine hours and thirty minutes, PM. Why so?"

"Ruby's looked dumbfounded, as she realized one thing: She missed the airship to Beacon.

"I-I... Oh no! I can't believe I missed it, stupid stupid stupid!" she insulted herself as she panicked, wancing around in place. Penny looked at her confused, "What's an airship Ruby?"

"It's a big ship that can take you to places, and I missed it!" Ruby ranted, as she sitted in a ball, her knees up to her face as she tried to calm herself. There's probably some alternatives, maybe on foot it could be fine? Nah there's too much Grimm to call it a cake walk. Maybe... I could sleep back at Signal, I still have friends there maybe they would be okay with hosting me-

"Oh it's to go at Beacon!" She exclaimed as she understood, Penny did processed why her friend Ruby could care so much about a ship, thinking at first that she lost something on it, it can take you to places?

Ruby snapped out of her thoughts as she looked up to Penny with the biggest smug smile on her face. "Y-yeah that's that." Ruby said before cutting herself off, she remembered how fast Penny was to go to the mall, maybe Beacon could be a piece of cake!

"Wait Penny, I had an idea. So you see I missed the airship to go to Beacon and I really need to go to Beacon... Do you know where Beacon is?

"Affirmative mam'!" Penny answered happily as she saw Ruby face brightening up with an adorable smile.

"Great! Could you please drop me off there?" Ruby asked before Penny run up to her, grab her hand again and getting pull very quickly again.

"Oh my-" she could barely say as air grew quick and she just flied while Penny gave all of her efforts for Ruby with the biggest smile she could.

After a while, about thirty minutes later, they finally arrived at Beacon, as the big castle sprayed in front of them, Penny looked at it with almost glowing eyes, illuminated by the stars. "Wow! Ruby, your school looks so cool!

"Th-thanks Penny." Ruby could barely blurt, as she regained her breath in a cold sweat. "Well friend, this is where we parts way. My dad is probably very mad at the moments, but it's my day!" Penny said in a still overjoyed tone as she swear, it looked like she was jumping in place.

"Thank you Penny, I'm glad your day went well. You can keep the bracket if you want." Ruby said as her breathing started to stabilize.

"No Ruby, I want you to keep it. You made my day today and I want you to have a proof of my friendship." Penny answered as a sly smile came in, her round green eyes seemed to have switch to more... Sincere ones.

Ruby was about to declined before she understood what Penny meant, she held the bracket close to her chest and took deep breaths, she looked back up to Penny, giving her a sincere look. "I... Thank you Penny."

The two stood there in place, Ruby blushing and Penny just, looking at her.

"Ruby Rose!?" A certain striking voice interject as the two girls jumped in surprise, startled.

"There you are Ruby!... You! Penny, you did enough harm for today!" Another voice cutted through, one more recognizable then the first filled with hate.

As she looked to the direction of the voices, she saw her two teammates, Weiss and Yang running towards them, Yang's eyes were red and her hair was glowing brightly and Weiss look was just filled with hate.

"Oh hello peopl-" "QUICK PENNY, RUN!" Ruby blurted out as Yang was coming toward Penny, Penny eyes turned wide as she started running away before Weiss casted freezerburn floor spell thanks to the help of Yang. Penny tripped as she felt Yang's fist, blasting on her back. Ruby could only look at the scene horrified, as she hid her face in her fist, Penny emitted a slight 'ow' before standing back up and running at high speed once she left the ice poddle.

"That's dealt with, and she never will bother you again!" Weiss screamed in the distance, as she turned around and walked back to the dorms, Yang sighed as she were trying to leave the ice poddle left by Weiss. Ruby looked up to Yang having trouble getting out, she walked to the side of the poddle, around where Yang was and grabbed her sister as she layed her grasp on Ruby's shoulders.

"Thanks sis... I'm so sorry that I didn't come earlier, or didn't come at all. I just didn't thought she would have done such things..." Ruby looked puzzled, 'such things?'

"What do you mean by that?" Ruby asked innocently, Yang looked at her full of concern, "I heard she proposed to marry you Ruby! There's this video called 'a cute couple marry in a café.' showing Penny proposing to you!" Ruby face droppped, "Marriage? isn't that just friendly sincere talk?"

"She gave you a jewel Ruby." Yang retorted as she got out of the thin ice and grabbed her sister in her arms.

"But Yang, it wasn't a proposal! She just-"

"And then she just stand up again because she 'forgot the thing' bla bla-" Yang cutted Ruby off that cutted Yang off again. Just blurting out nonsense as she looked to angry for Ruby to say anything else. Ruby abandonned all hope as she was carrying her back to the dorm as a bridal.

In the dorms, then JNPR team door was opened with Jaune waiting by it as he looked slightly worried, Weiss barged in and walked by in the hallway, walking past him.

"I'm sure she's fine Jaune, she never backed away from a challenge!" Pyrrha said while the other two, Ren and Nora were playing a card game.

"Yeah, but she never faced such a challenge before." Nora commented, Jaune was really just waiting for a moment to talk with her.

When Yang walked, in carrying Ruby in her arms, Jaune slightly blushed at the sight and walked up to her, "Oh my god, are you okay, I saw what happe-"

"Out of the way, Vomit boy!" Jaune got pushed aside, as Yang passed beside him, he rubbed his arm as the two entered their dorms.

"Oh my gosh Ruby! Where the hell were you?" Blake gasped seeing Ruby shook and slightly dishelved. "I-"

"Penny was gonna try to kiss her! Can you believe that, my poor Ruby!" Yang cutted Ruby off as she threw her to her bed, "If I see her again, she'll get it rough her kiss!" she continued in a menacing tone, Ruby could only curl up in her bed as Weiss entered and slammed the door behind her in a more or so, pissed look.

Her bracket was still in the same place she left, on her chest. She could hear her team rambling as she felt the presence of Blake looming over her, she climbed to Ruby's bed.

"Is this true? I didn't get to see that video posted but like, were y-you nervous?" Blake asked curious, Ruby turned to face her as Blake expression seemed all dreamy while looking at Ruby, "Yes." she answered blankly, "Was it ever so romantic? Did you guys eated something, were you at a restaurant, under the sparkling stars?"

"We were at a restaurant, where we ordered slushies." Blake's expression turned to a frown as she assumed it didn't went that well. "Oh dear, did you felt stressed?" Blake asked hesitantly, scared of the reception from the younger girl.

"Of course I was! It just came out of nowhere." Ruby answered frantically, feeling her body tense up as every eyes laid on her and Penny.

"I'm so sorry Ruby, I wished it went well. Or better, it does kinda sound shitty- no offense of course." Blake excused as Ruby groaned a little, catching Weiss attention and Yang by the moment.

"You! How could you let yourself fooled like that Ruby!? Do we really have to keep an eye on you all day long!?" Weiss screamed as she approached the crimson haired and faunus girls. "Hey! you don't talk to my sister like that!" Yang retorted, slamming Weiss back to the ground, Ruby just could feel like sleeping right now, to forget that this day ever occured, Blake noticed the girl doozing off and asked, "Uh, want some earplugs?" Ruby nodded contently.

Blake dropped down of the bed for a little second, before coming back from her bed with a pair of fluffy, black earplugs with cat ears on them, Ruby looked at the earplugs for a second before taking them from Blake's hand, "Thank you." she whispered as the sound of the heiress and dragon could be heard brawling.

"Of course Ruby. Rest well, goodnight."
