Kirby got into the rebel base, aware of his surroundings. He then received a transmission from Meta Knight, his best friend and lieutenant of the rebellion. "Kirby, have you activated the switch yet?", Meta Knight asked. Kirby, in his innocent fashion, replied with: "POYO POYO!" "Good.", Meta Knight replied. "We're receiving a distress signal from the Halberd. Can you go see what's going on there?" Kirby, trying to piece together words said, "Uhhuh." He then summoned a warp star and flew up to the Halberd.
Meanwhile, inside the ship, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Lucario and Peach were being attacked by Ganondorf and the Subspace Army. They were about to lose, but Kirby then broke in and fought off the Primids. Unfortunately, Kirby still had to fight off Ganondorf. Meta Knight and Peach joined in, while Dedede and Lucario fought off the rest of the Primids. "Lucario, there's too many of them!", King Dedede yelled. Kirby meanwhile opened the wings of the Halberd to attempt to throw the Subspace Army off. However, once the Primids were gone, and Ganondorf was down, he snapped his finger and an army of Game and Watches came down and lifted the heroes out of the ship. Ganondorf then yelled, "SO LONG, LOSERS! HOPE YOU HAD FUN IN YOUR SHIP!"
But Kirby, the Star Warrior, was still inside the Halberd. He kept fighting off the Shadow Bugs, but he got lifted as well.
Meta Knight was forced into hiding, King Dedede was angry and mentally ill, and Lucario and Peach had other business to tend to. Now that the Subspace Army had a dropship, Ganondorf called on Bowser and Wario to join the Subspace Army, and had Master Hand give them dark cannons to shoot the Smashers with.
As for Kirby, he had went on with his life, but had a mission to get the Halberd. Nobody knew, including Ganondorf, that a shadowy figure was watching from the Plain.
