Bailey was in a mood.
Scratch that Doctor Bailey had brought the thunder. She swear the interns of today are more stupid than she ever was or was ever allowed to be. How some of these had got through medical school she will never know or understand.
Do they actually get stupider every year or can she just tolerate their stupidity less and less every year?
Because she swears if she have to solve one more problem caused by this year in take she would actually scream.
She would say they made less of a mess as they progressed but even her most trusted attending seemed to still manage to make huge messes for her to have to clean up.
She means look at Meredith Grey as much as she is a great doctor; she can still make just as much trouble now that she's an attending.
Actually scratch that; the fellow doctor seemed to be able to make even more trouble and mess now that she is an attending.
One thing she was happy about though was that most of her senior staff didn't make as much mess as Meredith Grey.
Thank god for doctors like Carina Deluca, besides the rumors that she caused in the hospital when she first got here she had been nothing but exceptional, even helping to improve the hospital infant mortality rate.
Which had ended up with the hospital getting more OBGYN patient which meant more elective, therefore the bottom line the hospital was more profitable and the more profitable the hospital the more people they could help in the long run.
So yes if Doctor Deluca needed more time for research, research she might add only made the hospital look even better, who was she to say no.
As such this was what she was heading to see Doctor Deluca about, she had applied for further use of some hospital equipment. Doctor Bailey was never going to say no but she just needed to iron out the details of the arrangement and sort out time for said doctor to use them.
Which was why she was now standing outside of said Doctor's office about to knock when she suddenly heard a noise.
A noise that Doctor Bailey was pretty certain she shouldn't be hearing from inside the office.
Leaning in close to the door to make sure she wasn't hearing things; she heard it again. A very low but still there moan.
Now she had a choice walk in on what they were doing in there or she could come back later and pretend that she never heard what she just heard.
But she had never gotten anywhere in this hospital by avoiding the subject.
So with her mind made up, Doctor Bailey opened the door, walking into the office, letting the door shut behind her as she entered the office.
At this second she didn't know how she felt about it, she was both assumed and shocked that Carina would do that. But as Chief Bailey she was annoyed by what they were doing.
Not that she could see much as on the desk sat a woman with her back to her, from what she could see said woman had their shirt opened, head tipped back and probably with no pants on.
If the hand of the blonde was anything to go by, as it was tightly holding the brunette hair that she rightfully assumed was doctor Deluca.
Deluca looked like she was going at the blonde like her life depended on it, which if the moan from the blonde was anything to by Doctor Deluca was doing a good job, as the other woman had not stopped moaning since she had walked into the office.
Enough was enough.
"Excuse me ladies, this is a hospital and while this might be Doctor DeLuca's office this is still my hospital which is full of sick people that are being treated, not some where that is meant for a quick fumble" finished doctor Bailey, actually all of this is very amusing.
"SHIT!" Maya exclaimed as Carina pulled her head away from her very enjoyable explorations.
The two women pulled apart; to quickly redress.
"Ah Doctor Bailey hello was there something that you needed" Carina said as she came to stand straight in front of Maya, even if carina wasn't bothered about shows of intimacy didn't mean that said doctor didn't get jealous when other people had the possibility of seeing her girlfriend.
Straightening her clothes Maya came to suddenly stand next to her girlfriend.
"Hello Doctor Deluca" said Bailey then looking over at the other woman standing up who was looking rather smug next to the other Doctor, was Ben's boss.
"Ah well hello captain Bishop, it has been awhile" even Bailey didn't know what to do in this situation, she didn't want to make anything worse for her husband. Her husband that would run into burning building on this woman's say so.
"Chief Bailey, it is good to see you again, I believe that we last saw each other was family night at the firehouse" Maya stated as she pulled her arm around Carinas waist trying not to be annoyed that they didn't get to finish what they had not been long off finishing.
"Yes it was, and I don't recall Doctor Deluca being there? Tell me Captain would you put up with this behavior in your house?" getting her mind back in the game when Maya had called her Chief.
Watching them she was expecting some reaction but instead their faces stayed exactly the same, they both just looked amused. Since when didn't she scare people?
"Ah yes the family dinner I could not go to that, but if that is your way of asking what we are. Well Maya is my Girlfriend not that she likes to take me out. She much prefers to what is it. Ah yes lock me away from world. And you answer your other question it is lot more comfortable at the firehouse" Carina finished never being one to be prudish about sex or her sex life.
"you see Doctor Bailey we had not seen each other in a week. We got excited to see one another. I'm sure you understand with ben" Carina might be laying it on thick now.
"I mean people are always up to something in the firehouse, that's the danger of having bed where we work and being stuck together for twenty four hour shifts" and just like her girlfriend she didn't see the need to be shy about sex.
OK wow where was she mean to start with any of that?
"So you what you decided that you haven't seen each other so your just going to have a quick fumble in the office?"
"Si" Carina quickly said but not saying anymore as she just pulled Maya even closer to her side.
"Wait do you mean that people do not know about this relationship then by what you just said?" why wouldn't the whole firehouse know; from what she had been told by Ben nothing could stay private in that place.
Well it looks like his captain was proving him wrong doesn't it.
"I'm sure you know what the firehouse is like by know Chief Bailey from what I'm sure Ben has told you" seeing the Doctor nod she continued.
"well when it's something that involves me even before I was their captain, the house would never leave it alone. Never mind keeping it to themselves therefore, they know the minimum: that I'm happy and with a woman called Carina"
"Si, it is true they never can leave things alone and we wanted time to work on relationship without other people getting involved in it. As we knew they would especially JACK" To say that she would never trust him would be an understatement but apparently he's a good firefighter and she wanted her girlfriend to be safe so she never said anything.
"So I take it then from the lack of hospital gossip that no one really knows here either" Bailey asked rather smugly, she always did like to know information before others.
"No they don't" looking at the clock on the desk she saw the time "And I hate to cut this short ladies but I have to go" leaning up she planted a soft but tender kiss upon Carinas lips. Before walking to the exit and open the door.
"oh and Bailey before I forget we both know you got busy in the hospital before so don't act so surprised at other" smirked out the fire captain and with that said the door swung shut behind her leaving one doctor looking at the door and the other laughing.
"I take it Chief that you wanted to see me about something that was not my sex life or my girlfriend for that matter" Carina asked knowing that Bailey was a busy woman and would probably want to get down to busy now that they had wasted time.
"Erm don't change the subjects I have question and then we can get onto the boring aspects of this visit unless your too busy that it?" sitting on the visitors chair in the office already knowing that this was going to take awhile to talk through.
"No, all my Momma are fine right now. My residents will page me if something happen" Carina stated as she sat at the desk where they were just getting busy.
"Also Maya and I have not talked to anyone about us. It would be nice, also we are both with the boss now but I am just wondering why you are here?"
"I just came to sort out that new application for your research. But that's just logistics, the hospital is giving you the time and equipment that you need. Right now I need to know how you apparently caught Maya Bishop, who from what I have heard is a relationship avoider". Miranda Bailey had heard a lot more about the captain than that, but saying that to the captain's partner might not be the best plan.
"Ah gracia, and I know all about Maya's Wednesdays and her avoidance of relationship" Carina really did know as that was more or less how they became an item.
"So tell me what is she really like?" asked doctor Bailey who had thought there was more to the frosty fire captain since she first met her.
"She is. She is fantastic, but so infuriating and stubborn but at the same time she is soft, gentle and thoughtful. But she is always second guessing her self in her private life, as she so afraid of hurting me or us" taking a sigh this was a lot more than she had ever told anyone about her relationship.
"And I think that this may be it for me, I believe that she is the one". And just like that Bailey became their first supporter.
