Title: Caught Little Fox
Summary: Lila managed to get an invitation to the most exclusive event in Paris. The Ice Crystal Ball. An event that's invitation only and given. Upon entering, Lila finds herself in a bit of a pickle that she can't get out of.
Note: In any case that there is a scene change, LBCNLBCN is a scene change. This is subject to change. This is based on the song Queen of Mean from the Descendants 3 movie.
Once again, Lila Rossi came up with ridiculous lies that only a few saw through. The chocolate haired girl was crying over Marinette stealing her invitation to the Ice Crystal Ball which no one in the class other than Adrien and Chloe were aware of said event. It was a private event that most celebrities didn't want the public to know about it. And here was someone that was crying because her invite was stolen when it was meant to be kept private.
Her classmates eyes were on the bluenette who frowned. She couldn't do anything about it because no matter what she said, her words would be twisted to that girl's own advantage.
"What's the Ice Crystal Ball?" Rose asked. "I don't think I've ever heard of it."
Lila sniffled and brushed away her tears. "It's a special princess ball for people who've done great things.." she explained. Tears rolled down her face.
Alya, her former best friend who should of known better had her arms folded across her chest. "Girl, ever since you've met her, you've been nothing, but mean to her. And now you've stooped this low? Who even are you?"
The brunette was a blogger. She should of gotten her sources first, but never did and it felt like that didn't matter to her.
Marinette didn't want to argue back. She didn't want to deal with this right now. But she couldn't get out of this one.
"Alya-" she began, but was rudely cut off.
"I was going to give you another chance. You allowed your jealously over Adrien get the best of you. Worst of all, you threatened Lila!"
"Why would Lila lie?"
She shut her mouth. What was she supposed to say?
The Ice Crystal Ball was meant to be a private event.
"Now give Lila's invitation back now."
The bluenette had it in her backpack, kept in a special department because a certain blonde gave it to her after one of his photo shoots he had invited her to. "I don't have it.." she said quietly. It was a lie.
"Yes you do! Lila said you took it from her! Don't make me tackle you to the ground and force it from you." she said in a cold tone.
She now wished that Chloe and Adrien were here by her side. They could get her out of this mess. They could stop Lila from harassing her. But no. Both of them were busy for the day.
"I'm not lying.. " It was one last attempt to get through with Alya.
The brunette shook her head. "That's what they all say, Marinette! Everyone loves Lila. Stop letting your jealously over Adrien get the better of you. Look what it's turned you into!"
"Look where it brought our friendship!" the blunette shot back. She stood up arubtly.
No one in this damn school was doing anything and she was sick and tired of nothing being done.
She wasn't a bad student.
The school had no evidence that Marinette was bullying Lila. But on the flip side, she had no evidence herself. And she was just letting it happen.
She was taking the high road like Adrien had requested of her. And look where it got her.
Alya grabbed her backpack to which Marinette pulled herself away. "Why would I steal an invitation to an event like that?" She wanted to continue on. She wanted to tell her former best friend about all the shit Lila pushed her through, but did it even matter?
"Because Adrien is going to be there.." Lila said.
This only enraged the blogger more. "You're a really horrible person, Marinette. Just give it back to her." her voice was filled with such warning.
"How could you believe her over me?" She stood in front of the classroom. "What has she ever done for all of you? Don't you remember that I care for all of you? Of course not! Because you're all to bent on Lila! Has anyone asked me how I feel? No!" She didn't want to deal with anyone here anymore.
Alya was the only one to go after her. But it wasn't to apologize. It was something much more different that'd make the brunette everything. She ripped the backpack from Marinette's bag. "You're not leaving with Lila's invite."
"I don't have it."
"Girl, you're a terrible liar. We both know you still hold close feelings for Adrien."
She wasn't in any mood to argue. "Fine. Look through it. Check if I really have it."
The blogger unzipped the backpack. She took everything out of the bag. Then opened the special compartment of her backpack. She pulled out a pale blue invitation that had silver snowflakes decorated all over it. "So." she started. "You were lying!"
Marinette looked defeated. "I guess I'm just jealous." She snatched her backpack back. "You should go back to your best friend." She turned around and walked towards the entrance. Genuine tears rolled down her cheeks and fell from her face. She found that even after a couple of months, she couldn't let go of the person who encouraged her to be Ladybug without ever even knowing.

Alya walked back into the classroom. She held up that pale blue envelope. "She was lying. I'm sorry things had to resort to this." She handed the chocolate haired girl the small invitation.
Lila gave this fake smile.
Really.
This Alya girl followed her like a blind idiot.
"Thank you, Alya. Adrien was going to be upset if I didn't go."
The blogger smiled as Ms. Bustier walked into the classroom with her plans for the class period.
She clapped her hands a few times. "Take your seats everyone." She scanned her attendance sheet. Chloe B. and Adrien A. were both excused. She looked up to see Marinette's seat empty. "Has anyone seen Marinette today?"
"Yes, but she decided to be a dick and threaten Lila in the bathroom."
"Alya, language. And threaten? Behavior like that isn't tolerated here. Where is she?"
"Ms." Lila said softly. "It wasn't Marinette's fault. Earlier today I was flaunting about an invite I got for a very special event." She couldn't have Marinette get expelled again. That would get on Adrien's bad side. Frankly, she didn't wan that.
"Threatening someone is a crime."
"No it's fine. Really." she said too cheerfully.
Everyone in the classroom seemed really uncomfortable as a long silence fell upon them. Some students stared at their laps. And some looked at Lila with sympathetic looks.
Ms. Bustier gave her students a kind smile and clapped her hands a couple times again to get their attention. "Let's start class."

Marinette did come upset.
Her parents knew about the private event because their daughter told them about it and they were really excited for her. But to see her upset like this. It didn't sit with them very well.
But their little girl seemed to prop up after a few hours once Adrien showed up at their door. He was going to have his bodyguard give himself and the bluenette a ride to this little event.
Her bluebell eyes lit up when she saw the blonde stand in her little quaint home wearing a black tuxedo with a white undershirt and a green tie which reminded her of Chat Noir. To an observant eye, one would see a thin layer of glitter on the green tie. His blonde hair was styled wonderfully.
As for Marinette, she was dressed in a pale pink dress that was off the shoulder, but had long sleeves with white fluffy like cuffs at the hems of her wrists and the end of her dress which ended just below her ankles. Silver glittery snowflakes decorated the dress evenly. Upon her feet were glass slippers. And her hair was pulled into a tight bun.
A faint blush crossed her face.
Once Marinette was home, she had told her parents why she had come home way before school started. And her parents completely understood.
She simply walked up the stairs. She was really thankful to have them in her life. She headed up to her room. She needed to text Adrien asap. Or rather the group chat she shared with Chloe and Adrien.
Gently, she set her both of her bags down.
Tikki was doing a good job. She was preventing her chosen from being akumatized.
And the bluenette could only imagine how hard it was because doing anything that didn't involve transforming must have taken a lot of energy.
She typed away at her phone after she unlocked it.
The groupchat was named 'Best friends'. This hurt her a bit because Adrien was forever going to consider her a to be honest, friendship from him meant the world to her.
Marinette: 'Lila found out about the ball..'
She typed in another message.
Marinette: 'And then claimed that I stole her invite to the ball with fake tears.'
Chloe was the first to respond.
Chloe: 'That's impossible. This is an exclusive event. I know everyone on the guest list and Lila isn't one of them.'
Marinette: I stayed silent about the event. I came home early. Alya started a fight with me and stole my invite and gave it to Lila.'
Chloe: 'When I get my hands on her, she'll be sorry.'
Adrien: 'You don't have a thing to worry about, Chloe. The guest invitations have the guest's names written inside. Guests are required to have their ID's on them. Lila is going to be caught red handed.'
Chloe: 'When did you get so cocky?'
Adrien: 'Kagami might have helped with that.'
Marinette took a deep breath.
Her friends had her back.
Adrien held his hand out.
And she took it.
"You'll be okay."
When Adrien found out that Marinette had been threatened by Lila, oh boy. He was absolutely outraged.
And she trusted him.
"We're going to sit in the car for a bit. Kagami said Lila was going to make a scene by trying to get in."
"You really think so?"
Both teens walked down the stairs of her home.
"Yeah. Chloe and Kagami are in the car."
Marinette smiled.
He opened the car door for her.
Chloe was wearing a dark gold long sleeved dress where the sleeves close to her shoulders and slowly opened until the sleeves were wide. This dress ended just above her knees where she wore white leggings and black high heeled boots. Her hair was down with the ends of her hair curled smoothly.
As for Kagami, she wore a traditional winter kimono that was the color red. The rich silk had white designs of a dead tree floral pattern that spread out like a fan. Her hair held a white rose given to her by Adrien to compliment her look.
"You look lovely, Marinette. Did you make it yourself?" Kagami asked. Her hands rested on her lap.
Marinette blushed. "Yeah. I know this isn't much."
"Are you kidding, Dupain-Cheng? Do I have to remind you that you managed to impress my mother? The Queen of fashion?"
Marinette smiled again.
"Yeah Marinette. You impressed my father." Adrien gave a kind smile to the girl whom he had opened the door for. He got in too and closed the door himself. "Everyone's here, Gorilla."
Marinette also placed her hands on her lap.
"I heard what happened with Lila. I'm not really a big fan of her. I could see through her lies the moment I met her."
She nodded slightly.
The ride to the Ice Crystal Ball was sort of short. With no traffic because this was a private event.
"Look what the cat dragged in." Chloe sneered as she saw Lila scream at the top of her lungs.
The chocolate haired girl was wearing a rather inappropriate dress. It was a orange dress with an opening that was on her left leg. Adding to it being strapless and no sleeves in the cold when it was snowing. Black slippers on her feet.
"The bodyguards are dealing with this very well." Kagami commented.
"What exactly happened?"
"Daddy allowed me to keep tabs on the bodyguards. And most of them have body cams. I don't really want to get out now because I don't want to deal with Lila. She humiliated me at one point."
Marinette wanted to snort. She knew what this was about, but kept silent about it.
"I don't really know how to broadcast anything across Paris, but we can watch the video that I've received from that bodyguard security figure." The blonde haired girl pulled out her phone and tapped on an already live video on her phone. It was just a few minutes before the current event.
Lila was in that dress the four saw her in. Where she had just been dropped off at was a mystery to them all. She handed over that pale envelope.
"Mam', I need some sort of ID for verification."
"What? But my boyfriend Adrien is expecting me."
"I don't care who you are. I need some ID."
"Do you even know who I am? My mother is the ambassador here and you're denying me access?!" she screeched.
The security guard seemed really calm still. He wasn't buying the bullshit she was giving him. "All guests were told to have some sort of ID. I need some ID."
She grumbled. She didn't even have her ID. "I forgot it at home."
"Heard that one. No ID, no entry."
And that scream.
The four of them got out of the car. Only Marinette who simply apologized to the security guard and showed her ID.
And she was let in.
"Why the hell can she go in?! I have the invite!"
"She may not have her invitation, but I can only assume you stole this. Her name is on this invite here." He held it up in his hands. "Maybe check the name on these things before trying a stunt like this again. Oh wait. You won't be able to again."

And of course Lila started to try some shit again, but got herself nowhere when Adrien, Chloe, and Kagami showed up, pushing Lila down.
Pictures were released from the Ice Crystal Ball on the request of Chloe.
Lila's stunt was exposed and she was expelled.
The end.
