Overworking
(Malroth catches the Builder up late drawing blueprints.)
(This is a one-shot series and it's very gay. I realized I work better with gay relationships when writing.)
It was a normal nightime patrol when Malroth swore he saw familiar blonde spikes waving around in the air. He looked around the corner, and sure enough, the male builder was busy scribbling away, his book propped up against the tiny flag in the center of the table. He was making something, Malroth couldn't tell what, but probably something he was going to place down in one of the three sections of the island. The Builder's eyes had very visible bags underneath them, and it was about sunrise. The Builder was so intent on his work he yelped when Malroth picked him up and swung the yellow porcupine over his shoulder.
"Mal!"
"You're staying up again, you need to get some sleep."
"I'm not tired!" The Builder replied before letting out an enormous yawn.
"Doesn't sound like you're not tired."
"Shut up…"
Malroth could already tell the Builder was falling asleep. The destructive man sighed. Ever since last week, the Builder had been working day and night on blueprints and buildings, and sustained many injuries as to not paying attention to his surroundings.
First had been when a cosmic chimarea had snuck up on him and knocked him off into the waters beside where he was working, where he was luckily rescued by Anessa.
Second had been in the Scarlet Sands, where a scorpion had knocked him off the roof of the new bar he'd been finishing up. Malroth had luckily caught him before he hit the ground then.
The third was when he fell into the tiny pond because an iron ant had snuck up and shocked the porcupine. He had fallen onto the tiny piece of land and cut his arm on a bit of rock.
Malroth had seen all of these incidents, and was getting slightly annoyed with Builder's carelessness. They had talked about it the other day.
"It was a tiny scratch."
"You are going to get yourself killed one of these days if you don't pay attention!"
"I'll be fine, Mal."
Malroth opened the door to the shared house between him and his best friend, and carefully laid the sleeping builder into his bed, before climbing into his own. He turned over and looked at the Builder before drifting off to sleep, reminding himself to make sure to remind the Builder to eat tomorrow, and bring a lunch with him.
(Was that good? I dunno, it's been a bit since I've written with this game. But one-shots are wonderful with the male builder. I've almost beaten the game for the third or fourth time. My brother keeps telling me to stop making extra accounts. Anyways, have a good day or night or evening or whatever time it is where you are!)
