World of Light: The Novelization

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the characters in this book. The concept of this book is based on a video game called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, I have novelized the game's campaign mode and added some new details for originality. I do hope you enjoy this book as it is long and will keep you occupied.

PROLOGUE: Galeem

We were all standing at the edge of that cliff, Shulk told himself. ALL of us.

"Don't let a single one get away!" Fox said, pointing his blaster up at an army of Master Hands approaching them at the cliff. Galeem floated amongst the hands ordering the march.

"We'll each need to take down about ten." Marth said from behind the crowd. "Stow your fear. It's now or never!" Zelda said. Pit interrupted, hopes up, saying, "We'll win this. I KNOW we will!"

They kept coming. They didn't stop. Eventually, these hands disintegrated into blue.

They're going to devour us all, Shulk...saw. Shulk saw the future before his very eyes.

At that very moment, Galeem took in all his energy and released it onto the cliff below. Beams of light flooded the earth in the blink of an eye.

Sonic ran as fast as he could, but the light consumed him. Palutena teleported, but the light still reached her. Greninja jumped to the sky, but the light consumed him. Link attacked the light with his sword and shield, but it managed to get ahold of him. It seems no one could escape the light that Galeem had sent out.

By the time, everyone was crushed under Galeem's control, it was too late. Everybody was dead...

...all but one. Kirby. He had escaped in his Warp Star, off to a place unknown.

Galeem had finally got what he wanted: total control of the universe. But he wanted more. He always wanted more.

Galeem copied the captured fighters, hundreds at a time, in its likeness. He then forced the spirits he captured, those who did not fight Galeem, to pull the puppet fighters strings. This powerful army of puppet fighters spread themselves across the last remaining world.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

I know this chapter was short, but I am setting the premise for the rest of the story. Make no mistake, I am going to make this story the greatest SSBU fanfic ever written. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.
