You Complete Me

i. Reunion

The pink-haired man couldn't help but let out an undignified snort as he peered into the small cellular device in his hands. Eyes gleamed with amusement as he skimmed the lit up letters repeatedly, his smirk growing.

"Oh man," he leveled a look with the black-haired man in front of him.

"You can't be serious, ice-freak," he barked a laugh as he threw the device back as he leaned against the white railing, "You autocomplete me. I mean, what?"

His black-haired companion only shrugged his shoulders, though his upturned lips gave away his nonchalant facade, "Hey, it worked though."

A snort was heard from above as both males turned their gaze up to the upper-deck where a blue-haired male sat in a lounge chair. The man took off his sunglasses as he peered below, his red tattoo shifting along with his cheeks as they raised into a smile.

"Of course it would work on Juvia. You sure are lucky that she's understanding Gray."

"Or just infatuated with him, could never imagine why she'd like this piece of sh*t," the pink-haired man snorted but the comment was ignored by the other two.

The black-haired man below only let out a laugh, eyes softening a bit, "Yeah, I am lucky."

When the pink-haired man caught on to the familiar expression, he pretended to gag, which only got him a rough shove from the other male.

"Shut up ashbrian!"

"What did you call me, you stripper!"

"Natsu? Gray? Is that arguing I hear?"

A red-haired woman walked up to the ledge of the upper deck to peer down below at the two. Her eyes slanting into a glare as her tight grip on the two martinis in her hands threatened to break the glass. The blue-haired man could only wince as he smiled nervously at the three. No matter how many times he has seen this exact scene, he could never really be prepared for what the red-haired beauty would do next.

"N-no Erza" both shouted as they immediately released the tight holds they had on each other's shirts.

She continued to glare at them for a little more before giving a hum of approval and turning around to sit in one of the chairs beside the blue-haired man.

"Hey Erza."

"Hello Jellal," she smiled at him as she handed him his drink. Both of them averted their gazes with blush colored cheeks.

"Ugh, can you guys take this lovey-dovey atmosphere somewhere else," Natsu exaggeratedly gagged again.

Gray only rolled his eyes, "You're only jealous 'cause your lonely butt is single."

The pink-haired man only scoffed loudly as he scowled, "As if! I ain't no simp!"

Gray gritted his teeth, "Who you callin' a simp?"

"Obviously you, simp," Natsu sneered. Before Gray could even land a punch on him two fists were swiftly brought down on both of their heads, eliciting groans from them as they stared up at the burning figure. Chills rushing down their spines.

Jellal could only silently pray for them as Erza began to lecture the boys for who knows how long. Along with a couple of smacks which caused the blue-haired man to cringe, thankful that she at least didn't hit their faces. They had an important shoot coming up and he couldn't risk any damage to their image.

After a half an hour had passed along with a now disappearing crowd, Erza had finally completed her lecture. Jellal only gave passersby an apologetic smile as he finally got off his seat and walked down to join the others by the pool deck.

"I'll see you tomorrow Gray for your fitting for your shoot with Lamia Scale. And Natsu," Erza pointed in Natsu's direction, "Make sure you come to the meeting on Thursday, on time, to discuss your upcoming shoot with Sorcerer Weekly."

Both men stuttered out a 'Yes Ma'am' as Erza soon left.

Jellal offered them a polite goodbye as he followed after her, "Natsu, I'll contact you tomorrow morning. See you later Gray."

"Well, I might as well leave as well since the main event is over." Gray gave Natsu a rough pat on the back as he put on his sunglasses. "See ya at gramps place later, flame freak. Gotta see Juvia first."

Natsu only rolled his eyes as he took a shot of his drink, "Seriously, can you people not keep that love sh*t to yourselves?"

Gray only raised his brow though smirked once he caught a glance of Natsu's irritated face. He barked a laugh, "I can't believe you're still upset about that whole model ordeal! That was a month ago!"

Natsu only snarled as unwanted memories started to resurface, "Shut the hell up! That was the worst thing I've ever experienced!"

Gray only continued to laugh before speaking, occasionally breaking out into snorts, "Guess you got a lot of fans."

Natsu growled and shoved the other male, "Just get out!"

Gray laughed as he made his way towards the exit, but not before sending the frustrated man one more gibe.

"Just you watch! Once you meet a girl who you really love, you'll be wrapped right around her finger!" Gray taunted as he gave Natsu a knowing smirk.

Natsu only scowled before snarling, "Hah! As if! I would never become like you!"

"Just you watch!" Gray was out of sight.

Natsu only scoffed as he gulped down the rest of his shot of fire-whiskey, scowl deepening, "Like that would ever happen… Hey, bartender! Get me another one!"

-o-

A week had passed since then and the pink-haired man had long forgotten the conversation he had with his black-haired rival. All of that was in the past now as he briskly walked with his manager towards the shoot.

"Ok Natsu," Jellal handed him a folder as they walked into the sleek building, "They wanted to try something new with this shoot. Along with taking pictures, they want to interview the models and have an article alongside the photos."

Natsu nodded as he took a sip of his coffee, briefly flipping through the papers. He briefly paused when he thought he had passed through a familiar name but dismissed it soon after and continued to his quick skim. He had worked with many people in the industry so it would be normal for him to be familiar with a couple of names.

Plus, Jellal was the one who usually managed connections with photographers and other people in the industry so he would leave it to him. And he would be meeting them soon anyway. He could worry about it later.

"This is a good opportunity to increase your reputation in the industry and gain more popularity. This is going to last three weeks so make sure to keep a good impression since we may be partnering with Sorcerer Weekly in the future more."

He only nodded as they walked into the studio room with the label 'FAIRY TAIL' on the front. The immediate buzz of conversation was aspew along with busy-bodies running amok the place as the staff where getting the set-up prepared.

Natsu and Jellal greeted people who they recognized as they started to make their way to the middle of the room. Though Jellal stopped halfway as he met an old companion and wanted to talk for a bit, allowing Natsu to roam to the front.

He took his time as he looked around, occasionally raising a brow and hiding a snort at some of the questionable clothing that were on the racks. Though when he got closer to the middle of the room, he slowed down his pace as he was confronted with the view of the back of a woman's head which frantically traveled across the shooting area. A sensation arose in his chest as he stared at sun-kissed beach waves fluttering around the room with hectic steps, frantic hands accompanying her.

Everything just felt so achingly familiar… the little bounce to her steps when walking, the way she moved her hair over her ear with her middle and ring finger… it felt too… familiar. And a small burst of panic couldn't help but rise slightly in his chest as he got closer to her.

When she turned around, the world seemed to stop as green eyes met equally wide brown ones.

Note: New story! I was actually making a different story with Lucy having a similar job but then I began writing this (it's a separate story btw). I honestly have a list of one-shots and other stories that I have finished but just haven't published yet. So I wanted to publish this just to get it out of the way.

I can't promise that I'll have another chapter up anytime soon but keep an eye out for the other story since it's longer than this one. That one will also be more serious since I'm going for a comedy romance vibe for this story. Not too much drama and only maybe around 10 chapters (and not too long either) with an epilogue.

Till next time!
