After getting snookered in to watching a couple of episodes with my niece when she was over, I got hooked and had to binge the entire series over the last week. This takes place after season 3 when Marinette has been promoted to being the Guardian. As such, she has made a few decisions about how to handle the Miraculous, namely giving most of them out to her friends whose identities are still more or less secret. While it's true in the final episode of season 3, Chloe does know who has been given a miraculous, she never was able to reveal their names to Hawk Moth. And Chloe still holds out the faintest of hopes that Ladybug might just give her the Bee Miraculous back, so she has been trying to be nicer to her classmates, since Chloe realizes that there is a good chance that someone in the school is Ladybug. The majority will be from Adrien's POV

Preface

(Marinette)

"Tiki!" Marinette quietly shouted looking for where the kwami had disappeared to. "Come on Tiki, I don't have time to play hide and seek. I have to meet Alya and Nino! Are you in the miracle box again?" Marinette opened the box and as soon as she did, Tiki appeared.

"Sorry Marinette," Tiki said as she was found. "Are you really sure about giving the miraculous out?"

No, Marinette was not sure. But she and Tiki had discussed it along with Wayzz. What made Master Fu so vulnerable was that when Ladybug and Cat Noir needed help, Marinette had to seek Fu out. That was what ended up to him being captured… well that and the fact that Ladybug had forgotten to change back to Marinette and Hawk Moth followed Ladybug to Fu's hiding place that last time. It was a mistake that Marinette wouldn't repeat. She wouldn't hold on to all the miraculous. She had learned from Bunnix when dealing with Timetagger that many of her friends from school would be on her team. But it would be risky to give out the Rabbit Miraculous to Amix at the present time, since it was such a powerful item.

"You ready Tiki?" Marinette asked. She had learned from many of her mistakes with trying to confess her feeling for Adrien that if she didn't do something immediately without thinking about it, she'd would continue to procrastinate.

"Hm-hm," Tiki answered nodding her head.

"Tiki, spots on!" As Ladybug replaced Marinette, she admitted the truth, "No Tiki, I'm not sure. But it'll be a lot safer to have the miraculouses scattered all over Paris than all in the box." Even though Tiki wasn't present, she could still hear and even answer Marinette as Ladybug in her head.

"Alya, Nino?" Ladybug said as found them on Alya's roof, which was where Marinette had messaged Alya to be to get a good look at Ladybug on her next mission but that had been a clever rouse.

"Wow!" Alya gasped wondering how exactly Marinette had been right.

"Hey Lady dude!" Nino said seeing that his girlfriend was in absolute bliss right now from being in the presence of her idol.

"You guys want to help me and Cat Noir fight the baddies, right?" Ladybug asked to the two of them.

"Are you kidding?" Alya almost screeched in pure joy. "Of course, we would!"

"Ditto lady dude." Nino confirmed.

"Please know that I do not make this decision lightly," Ladybug said sounding really formal trying to hide as much as possible her regular voice and dialect. She knew that Alya probably wasn't that far from figuring out Ladybug's secret identity but Ladybug thought that if Alya was issued a miraculous then she would be more inclined not to go out of the way to try and figure out who exactly was Ladybug. In a way, it was a very simple but also genius plan. "Especially since Hawk Moth might know your identities. However, unless Chloe goes complete Benedict Arnold and not just acting like the spoiled little brat that she is, I don't think that Hawk Moth will know your names. I want to entrust to each of you your miraculous. Alya Cesaire, I entrust to you the Miraculous of the Fox," Ladybug said as she handed the box to Alya. "And Nino Lahiffe, I entrust to you the Miraculous of the Turtle."

"You can count on us Ladybug!" Alya confirmed.

"Ditto," Nino said as he opened the box and Wayzz materialized.

"Dude!" They both treated each other and did their silly handshake.

"So, no mission?" Alya asked.

"Not right now. But stay ready. You never know when Hawk Moth will strike next. There are a couple of conditions though."

Alya looked a little disappointed but Nino was simply excited.

"It's not that I don't trust you guys- I do totally- but you guys have to promise me that if I ask for them back, you'll give them back."

"You got it dude," Nino said answered by a nod from Alya.

"And Nino, they might be a time where I need to borrow Wayzz for a little bit. Since that he was the former Guardian's kwami, he knows a lot of stuff that I need to know."

"No problem," Nino said again, just ecstatic that he was being trusted with the care of Wayzz and his miraculous.

"Second, Alya, you need to stop trying to figure out Ladybug's secret identity."

"But," Alya protested but was interrupted by Trixx

"Alya, trust her," Trixx said.

Alya dropped her head. She had always dreamed about one day knowing exactly who it was behind the mask, not that she didn't have a couple of theories, including a few that she thought were completely absurd. "Can I keep doing the Ladyblog?"

Ladybug nodded. "Just no more trying to figure out who I am for it, deal?"

"Deal!" Alya said as she hugged Ladybug. "Hmm," she thought from the way the two embraced. It felt familiar but she quickly let Ladybug go so she would be temped to hypothesize more.

"See you later, guys," Ladybug said as she left them.

With two of the miraculous issued and another four more Ladybug wanted to give, the day would be full.

Chapter 1

Another Miraculous

"Plagg!" Adrien yelled knowing that the house was empty, so keeping the secret of his kwami wasn't necessary. "Plagg, where'd you run off to this time?! You better not break anything again!"

Adrien had been searching all throughout the house for the better part of an hour already. He knew he wouldn't have much longer before his father and his assistant would be home. It was sure chance that the gorilla had been feeling ill today and wasn't making sure that no one tried to come into the Agreste home.

"Plagg!" Again, Adrien tried to call for his kwami. "I've got some tasty camembert." Adrien almost gagged at putting the word 'tasty' next to 'camembert'. "And I've got a couple of cheeses that you haven't tried yet!"

Adrien ended up finally in his father's atelier after hearing the sound of something being knocked over. He hoped that Plagg had simply knocked over his father's easel and nothing was on it that might have been damaged by the fall.

"Plagg!" Adrien demanded upon entering, seeing the easel on its side and Plagg flying towards him.

"We've got a problem!" Plagg answered as he approached the holder of his miraculous. "Make that a really big problem!"

"Yeah," Adrien answered, his tone returning to normal as the panic of losing his kwami had gone. "You know you're not supposed to be in here. What if the gorilla or Nathalie would have seen you?"

"Relax," Plagg answered as he could tell that Adrien was staring at the portrait of his mother. There was a simple beauty to the portrait of Emilie Agreste that was fitting to Paris but from an era a long time past. "Besides that's the least of our issues now."

"Well, what is it?" Finally, over the irritation of his kwami being in a part of the house that he should never have come into, unless Plagg was safely hidden away inside Adrien's clothing. Even still, Adrien hated going into his father's studio.

"My my, aren't you Mr. Impatient today," Plagg tried to tease sensing that Adrien had lost some of the anger he had been feeling since he was finally able to find the kwami. "Okay, okay," Plagg gave in sensing that his attempt at humor was only going to make Adrien even madder. "Your dad has some really creepy stuff in there!" He said pointing at the safe that not only contained the miraculous book but many other family trinkets.

Adrien frowned. "That's not a nice thing to say, Plagg," Adrien reprimanded his kwami. "And yeah, father can be a little strange. But most fashion designers are."

"Do you know what he has below here?!" Plagg shouted as Adrien's phone began to buzz as a news alert had come in.

Adrien watched the video and sighed. Cat Noir was needed and Ladybug was probably already out taking on the akumatized victim that Hawk Moth had evilized again.

"Plagg, Claws out!" Adrien commanded.

"Wait!" Plagg pleaded as he headed towards Adrien's ring to transform him into Cat Noir.

It was too late for Plagg to tell Adrien what the kwami had found through his snooping around the mansion.

"My Lady," Cat Noir said as he spotted Ladybug waiting impatiently for him to arrive, flanked by Rena Rouge and Carapace.

"Whoa, hey Cat Noir," Carapace answered, "what's up dude?"

It took Cat Noir back for a second. He knew who talked like that. Nino was Carapace? The voice of Rena Rouge was also familiar. If it was true that Nino and Alya were Carapace and Rena Rouge, then it seemed likely that Ladybug was also someone else who was in the school, maybe even in a few of the same classes with me.

"Can you make it any more obvious who you are?" Rena Rouge said sounding more disgusted with Carapace. "So much for a secret identity."

"Why? Ladybug knows who we are anyway," Carapace tried to defend himself.

"Ok guys," Ladybug said growing slightly agitated. "We've got a big enough problem without us fighting each other."

I looked up seeing who had been akumatized. "Not him again."

"Halt! I am Rogercop 2.0! You are all under arrest!"

"For what?" Carapace asked.

"Loitering," answered the robotic monotone officer who was still under the influence of the akuma.

"What?" Carapace yelled shocked. "We're just standing here."

"Exactly," again answered Rogercop.

Rogercop started firing his handcuffing lasers from his hand, at which all four of the heroes started fleeing, all in a different direction. Adrien wasn't sure if this was the plan all along as he had only just arrived to meet up with the others.

"You can't chase all of us," Cat Noir triumphantly shouted but was surprised when he saw a Rogercop on his tail, still firing his handcuff. "Persistent, aren't you."

"Stop!" Rogercop commanded. "In the name of the law, halt!"

"Not today," Cat Noir answered as he used his staff to pole vault away from Rogercop and began running on the rooftops. "Whew!"

"Cat Noir," Ladybug's voice came from his staff. "Cat Noir? Are you okay?"

"Never better, M'lady." Cat Noir said with a large smile on his face, knowing that at least the two of them had gotten away and he had every confidence that Rena Rouge and Carapace would have also been able to as well."

"Dude," Carapace's voice came next, "where are you?"

"Oh," Cat Noir answered. Apparently the other three had met back up. Cat looked around to attempt to regain his bearings. "By Notre Dame."

"Good, were not that far apart," Ladybug said sounding relieved. "We've all met at the Louvre."

"Ok," Cat answered. "Ill be there in a few minutes." The kilometer only took Cat a minute to travel.

"It's not just Roger this time," Rena said as Cat reached the roof of the Louvre. "He's got backup."

"Great, four Rogercops," Cat joked figuring that one chased each of them.

"Well, actually 3," Ladybug said with a knowing smile. "I was able to immobilize mine."

"You're all under arrest!" One of the Rogercops said being flanked by two more, all aiming their fists at the heroes. "Come quietly or prepare to face the consequences."

"Yeah, right," Cat quipped back, "Like that'll happen."

The Rogercops started firing his handcuffs at the group but they were all able to scatter.

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug shouted as she swung her yo-yo into the air. "A bottle of water?"

"Great," Cat said smiling again, "I was getting thirsty."

"I don't think that's what its for," Rena said looking slightly irritated with Cat. She looked at Ladybug who was still trying to figure out what to do with the bottle, "Is he always this annoying?"

Ladybug smiled knowingly, "At least he hasn't started with the cat puns yet."

"That would be cat-astrophic."

The two girls groaned while Carapace tried to stifle a chuckle.

"Wait a minute!" Rena said as she worked on figuring out the use of the charm. "That's it! It's a robot. And robots can't get wet!"

"Great, so we gonna dump him in the river?" Cat said still with an odd smile on his face.

"Nope," Carapace said as he held his hand out for the bottle, which Ladybug gave him. "Ive got a better idea." Carapace took a big mouthful and proceeded to spit it all back out, hitting two of the Rogercops right in the face, which caused them to start sparking followed by their Akumas coming from their whistles.

"That's nasty!" Rena Rouge groaned seeing how Carapace had disabled two of the robots.

"Worked, didn't it?" Carapace replied as Ladybug caught the two Akumas. Carapace started to take another mouthful but was interrupted."

"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir called as he touched the whistle of the last Rogercop which sent its Akuma flying away as Ladybug also de-evilized it as well. "Man, this is so much easier with four of us, huh?"

"So much cooler too!" Carapace smiled at saying. "Getting to hang with all my best super-buds."

"Later guys," Rena said as she and Carapace took off heading to the east from the Louvre.

That just left Cat and Ladybug. Cat Noir asked, "Are you still sure it was a good idea to give them their miraculous? Hawk Moth might know who they are."

"No," Ladybug admitted again like she had to Tikki that night when she decided to give them to Nino and Alya, in addition to the other three she gave that night, "but I think that having too many miraculouses in one place is just as dangerous." Ladybug dropped her head in shame, "Me messing up one time when we needed their help led Hawk Moth to Master Fu. Besides, sometimes the sneakiest thing you can do is what your enemy knows you shouldn't do. Giving miraculous out to the people who had been exposed, not that Hawk Moth actually knows their names-"

"But Chloe could out them." Cat interjected.

"Could, but I don't think she would. I think she still holds out some hope to get the Bee Miraculous back, not that she's gonna get it unless there's no other option out there."

"Probably a good call."

"I didn't intend to give it to Chloe when she first got it but her and Pollen did get along pretty well."

"By the way, I've got a couple ideas of people who might be able to help us too," Cat said as his ring started flashing meaning he only had a couple minutes before transforming back into Adrien.

"So do I," Ladybug answered. "Actually, I've got more people in mind than there are miraculouses." Ladybug's earrings started flashing, signifying the same thing as Cat's ring.

"Exciting plans?" Cat asked.

"Just going to do my hair," Ladybug answered. It was dismissive enough that Cat wouldn't ask too many questions but not so dismissive as telling him to buzz off.

"Okay M'lady," Cat said with a slight curtsy.

"Bug Out!" Ladybug said as she took off on her yo-yo.

"Man, she's awesome," Cat said as his miraculous started flashing faster. "Oh, man," he groaned realizing he only had a minute to change back. Cat Noir took off using his staff and started running on the roof to get back to his room just as his ring started beeping. "Well," Adrien said as he detransformed, "that was cutting it way too close."

"I'll say," Plagg said as he headed straight for the cheese refrigerator. It still mystified Adrien how anyone could like the cheeses Plagg did, and it seemed like the stinkier, the better. "Now where's this cheese I was promised," the kwami added, remembering he had been promised a different cheese in return for leaving Adrien's father's atelier.

"Here," Adrien said as he handed the block of extra sharp Wisconsin cheddar. "Try something that won't actually make my eyes water for once."

Plagg took a couple of sniffs and wasn't impressed at first. "It doesn't smell as good as my precious camembert, but I'll try it." Plagg took a small bite and was relatively satisfied by it. "Not bad," Plagg said as he gulped down the first bit before shoving the rest of it in his mouth, "not as good as the Limburger was but edible."

Adrien smiled. Finally, he found a cheese that Plagg would eat that he could actually stand to be in the same room as the kwami when he did. "So, what's so important that you had to nearly wreck my father's studio to see?"

"Your dad has all sorts of weird stuff in that safe of his. I thought that book was crazy, but he's got a broken miraculous in there."

"A broken… miraculous?" Adrien had been ready for just about anything but this. Unfortunately, they wouldn't have much time to go back to investigate further as Gabriel was supposed to be back from the fitting for his upcoming fashion show very soon. "Which one?"

"Peacock."

"Whoa," Adrien gasped. That meant that his father somehow possessed Mayura's miraculous. That meant that- he didn't want to think about it but it made sense. There was a striking resemblance to both build and voice between Hawk Moth and his own father. Could that mean that Nathalie was Mayura? He really didn't want to think about it. If this was true, his own father was the enemy that Adrien and his friend had been risking life and limb in trying to defeat.

"Your own arch-enemy in your own house!" Plagg said. As he took another bite of the cheddar. "Someone tried to fix it but it isn't right."

"Fix it?" Adrien asked as he headed towards his father's atelier. What could he ask him? If his own father was Hawk Moth, what could that mean? And why would he be seeking the two miraculouses he was?
