Chapter 1
Adora was Completely overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with everything, from the rapidly deteriorating state of her friendship with Glimmer, who blamed her for losing her mother Queen Angella to the Horde's ever-increasing conquest of Etheria lead by her once closest friend Catra, to the where she was now. If she didn't act soon then her AI mentor Light Hope would fully activate the destructive weapon known as the Heart of Etheria…which may very well destroy the planet. "The Heart of Etheria must be activated" Light Hope declared as the chamber they stood became illuminated in multi colours "it is for this very reason you became She-Ra Adora". "A reason you picked for me" shouted Adora desperately trying to pull the Sword of Protection out from the console within the floor. Upon arriving at The Heart of Etheria Adora had learned that it was Light Hope who had opened the portal that brought Adora to Etheria far from the world of her birth and the family that she never knew…all so that Adora could become She-Ra and activate the ancient weapon. Adora felt tears swell within her eyes as she thought of what her finding the Sword in the whispering woods had brought her, losing the one true friend she had, being forced with serving as the Rebellions saviour and the never-ending demands of responsibility that came with it, the burden of Mara the previous She-Ra trapping the planet in the prison dimension of Despondos. "She did it to protect us" thought Adora as she gazed up at Light Hope "protect us from Light Hope and her protocols". Suddenly the chamber became an ominous shade of red as an alarm began ringing. A holographic screen soon materialised before the two and they could see approaching Etheria was a vast armada of spaceships with a massive warship leading the charge. "The full might of the galactic Horde is descending upon Etheria" said Light Hope turning to Adora "Only the Heart will be able to stop them". "Focus on the fleet Adora" urged Light Hope "aim the magic at them least the power tear Etheria apart". "I'm trying" growled Adora as she felt the strain of the power coursing through her, but she kept her mind focused on one thing: her friends. "There is no way I'm letting the Horde hurt Glimmer, Bow, Mermista or any of the others again" she thought narrowing her eyes "and that included you too…Catra" she thought before letting out a cry "AHHHHGGGG" she screamed as a massive burst of light erupted around her and the screen showed a massive ray of light incinerating the armada in a fiery explosion. Adora collapsed onto the ground her transformation dropping as she lay on the ground in total exhaustion the sword lying next to her. "Well done Adora" said Light Hope as the chamber dimmed around them "you have successfully completed She-Ra's primary function and defeated the Horde, your services on Etheria are at last complete and you may now depart" she said as she waved her arms causing Adora to float in the air as a shimmering blue glow began to develop around her. "Light Hope" Adora wheezed out in exhaustion "where are you sending me?" she questioned. Light Hope bore no expression before saying one final word "Home". The light soon engulfed Adora and in a flash she was gone.
