The sun blasted the Nevada landscape with intense heat. The town of Jasper was no exception to this fact. It was close to 80 degrees fahrenheit from what Jacob read from the outside thermometer. He began to wipe away sweat and stepped back inside his home. He closed the door and sighed deeply. Why did we move here?. He thought to himself as he leaned against the door. 2 months ago that's how long it was since they moved. He and his mother who worked as a person on the night. He was one of those kids, a mistake that could've been undone but wasn't. Luckily though he was the Catalyst to pick up her life and she became a general laborer for a construction company and the two had a surprisingly normal relationship given what they were. Stepping away from the door he walked to the kitchen aimlessly. Grabbing a water bottle from the fridge he popped the lid off with a quick flick and guzzled it all down in one go. The heat was still unbelievable as he grabbed another bottle.

Looking back down at the data pad Silas smirked just a tiny bit. The file wasn't an interesting read by any means but it shedded some light on the subject. A thin scientist sat in the back wearing a more Casual outfit of a red shirt and blue jeans. Not a usual outfit by any stretch the the imagination.

"As you see this subject has a 99.1 percent chance of survival" The man behind Silas said as he nodded. "Even though it's a simple mind transfer sometimes the mine will reject the body and will get a case like that little girl" He added as the man drew a cigarette.

Silas remembered clearly what the scientist inferred about. He was there when it happened, the first test subject was a girl named Alicia and she what's the first case of a mind rejecting its body. Death came quickly before they could even intervene. Grabbed the radio he keyed it and pressed the button.

"Team 2, how's the other subject?" Silas inquired as he entrusted the capture of Jackson Darby to his most loyal.

"All ready here, the two wheeler is with him but we have a clever idea" A response came from the team leader.

Silas could hear the enthusiasm in the man's voice as he was willing to even fight the devil himself. Sales give a two button press response as the go ahead. The thought of capturing Arcee made him smile much more wickedly. Trade her to either side that has the best offer. He thought as he knew the Deceptacon's would be the most likely to pay the highest price for her and extract anything they wanted. Seeing task force 1 arrive in a van behind Silas he gave them the go ahead as well.

Suddenly out of nowhere the door exploded off the hinges and splinters shot out inside the house. Jacob jumped back in reaction and ducked behind the counter. In blind fear he began crawling towards the back only to hear footsteps entering his home. Pressing himself against the counter once again he was both bewildered and fearful. What the hell was going on?!. SWAT or something else?. Before he could even get a word out he was grabbed by the shoulder hoisted up. He caught a quick glimpse of the uniform and saw a name. Mech. He read as he was suddenly plunged into darkness with a rifle butt to the back of the head.

Jack Darby with Arcee rounded the corner as they made their way away from Jack's work. He was heavily fatigued from a day of nonstop working and just wanted some rest. Arcee handled the driving to allow him to relax as he looked half dead. She adjusted her speed just a few miles slower as she neared a stop sign. Stopping, she glanced up at him with both mirrors. Face hidden under the helmet it was impossible to say what he was feeling.

"Feeling ok?" She asked as he nodded in response.

"Just tired. Feeling like a truck hit me" He commented as he breathed deeply.

She could just feel how drained he was and it was unnerving. He half yawned and smiled weakly. He knew he had a good friend helping him out. Suddenly a light little round device rolled out from an alleyway. Jack looked and saw it, he suddenly gasped as the round 20 cm long object suddenly erupted sending a current of electricity through both of them and both fell to unconsciousness.

Optimus Prime was immediately worried to see Arcee's signal disappeared completely without a trace. Ratchet was flabbergasted at what he saw and was immediately into action. Optimus stepped back as he saw Bulkhead and Bumblebee looking on in shock. Even Miko was dead silent whilst Raf helped ratchet in his search. Optimus walked for the entrance and transformed into his alt mode quickly.

"I'll see what's going on" He said as he knew it was in the middle of town where he'd be headed. Please just let it be a minor crash that knocked it loose. He thought as he barreled out from the base.

Jacob groaned as he shifted from the pain. Blood throfted in his mouth as he felt a bump from the ground underneath him. He realized he was in a van and across from him was a one of the uniformed men armed with a rifle hooked to a battery pack. He immediately picked up on what it was meant for. Laser weapon of some sort. He mused as he glanced around the dim space. Nothing much aside from another grunt and a motorcycle on it's side. A blue motorcycle he'd seen around town. He suppressed every urge to panic as it most likely would be his final mistake. Best to keep my head on till I figured things out. He told himself as he felt the van shudder as a semi truck blasted past at blistering speeds. Half of him wanted the truck to hit the van and kill those fuckers who snatched him, unfortunately he wasn't that lucky. Rather elaborate for an initiation. He sarcastically remarked as he closed his eyes and drifted back off. He had a distinct feeling that it was gonna be a long ride.

Optimus rolled up to the spot where Arcee had vanished with a single trace and saw nothing that indicated struggle at all. Except the tiny 20 cm Device that didn't look exactly like garbage. Triggering his hologram rider of a man in his late 30s with short brown hair and a well toned body stepped out in a blue shirt and grey jeans. The little invention was a cocktail that ratchet cooked up. The hologram could interact with anything up too 30 feet away from him. Now he had the perfect opportunity to use it. Distraught over to the tiny device and bent down and picked it up. It was plainly obvious it was a grenade, and given the lack of an explosion it clicked in his mind that it was a stun like device. Far too advanced for any government except maybe the Japanese…and Mech. He pondered as he heaved a heavy sigh. He walked back to the cabin and tossed the device in on the seat as he jumped in and closed the door. Sucking in a deep breath as his fans cooled the air circulating in him. For the first time in nearly a century he found himself frustrated, he didn't wish to harm humans but moments like this really pushed his buttons hard. Taking another calming breath he called upon the matrix for a moment to control his building frustration. He started back towards base as he hoped Primus would protect them both.

Jack groaned as a dim light flooded his eyes. He grew fearful and brave as he realized he wasn't in either a hospital or base. He glanced around and didn't see much. The room was dark aside from the light above him which was very low wattage. He hadn't slept very well at all, mostly injections of Primus knew what to send him back to darkness. It took no time to figure he was in a mech base and under heavy anesthetic. It's morphine. He realized as he felt high as hell.

"Welcome back to the land of the living Darby, enjoying your stay?" The voice of Silas taunted him from the darkness beyond.

Jack wanted to spit but would end up spitting on himself killing the urge. He kept silent as he saw the retraining devices which held him. Electric locks. Jack wasn't too surprised by it.

"Just a few more minutes now and your friend should be done," Silas added as he checked his watch.

Suddenly a scream echoed from the halls, a male scream not a female one. He and Arcee weren't the only ones captured and that fact quickly sunk in. The blood drained from his face as he grew even more fearful of what laid ahead. Struggling against the powered locks was useless as he looked to see where Silas was. Screaming continued as Silas came into view dead infront of Jack.

"As you now hear it won't be pleasant. Of course you'll be drugged for it and won't feel a thing unlike Mr Foster" Silas said as he gave a hand gesture Jack didn't understand.

"I hope you go straight to hell you sick fuck!!" Jack lashed out as the screaming finally broke in.

Suddenly a needle picked his neck and darkness quickly took over him once again. Back into the black void he was as powerless as a baby. Silas smiled wickedly as he watched the drugged Jack being carted off to the transfer room.
