Celestine Lucross, the Goddess reborn and ruler of the Seven Shields Alliance, lay softly upon her bed. Yet another day has passed in the war against the north, against the queen of the Dark Elves, Olga Discordia. For years this war has raged on, for years have the people suffered against the countless raids from the monsters under the employ of the Dark Elf Queen. How she wish she could put a stop to it once and for all… at least, she had a plan in the making to do just that…

She yawned deeply, covering her mouth as she let it out. Another day running around the court dealing with the courtiers has made her weary. The nobles bickering amongst each other as always, and the church requesting she do her obligations as the Goddess Reborn. Thus, she buried her head onto her pillow and closed her eyes, letting the dream take her as she ended yet another day…

Indeed… a dream… yet it felt as if she could reach out and touch the sights laid bare in front of her.

A field of bodies, slain men and monsters alike were scattered all around, each in differing states of death and dismemberment. She could even hear the dying breaths of those that barely clung to life, begging for salvation. A dream, nay, a nightmare, yet it all felt so real. Truly a horrifying sight. What's more was the distinct scent of burnt and charred flesh.

The sun had begun its ascent over the horizon, Celestine covering her eyes slightly as the rays of sunshine made contact with her eyes… standing right in front of the sun was a figure. He stood tall and proud, and quite frankly, he was rather bulky looking. Robust one could say. He looked to be wearing armor, indicated by the shimmering seen on the figure as the sun graced his armor with its light. A massive greatsword stood in front of the figure, his hands, the left laid over the right, resting atop the hilt as it was stabbed onto the ground.

Perhaps he was the one who had done all this. Yet how could one man commit such a feat alone? Even she or Olga, who are blessed with powerful magic, would have trouble vanquishing an army of this magnitude.

The sun seemed to grow stronger as it continued its rise, the heat only increasing as the light seemed to get brighter. Even she could feel it in this dream. The figure that stood in front of her seemingly grew more noticeable, not just due to the sun illuminating the area further as it rose. It was almost as if his aura felt more powerful as the minutes passed. Though she could yet see his face, his bright blonde hair finally made its appearance, the sunlight acting as if it added to its essence. She could barely make out a smile coming from the figure, before something else entirely drew her attention…

A mad howl.

She turned to face behind her, where the source came from. A malignant sight. A mountain of gore and mutilation. It was at a point that she could not make out whether they were monster or man anymore. Standing atop of it all was a dark figure clad in even darker armor. His arms were outstretched as he leaned backwards, facing towards the sky as he persisted letting out his maddened roars. His vicious screams pierced her ears, shaking her to her very core. A terrifying presence. It seemed as if the sky itself turned into a crimson hue, reflecting the fields of red supposedly caused by this figure.

With the sudden cock of his head, the figure took sight of Celestine. Through the slit of his visor, she could see the bright red glow emitting from it. She stood as still as stone, frozen by fear. Even as the figure began its descent down the mountain of corpses, she could not move, even though her mind screamed at her to run. The figure only picked up the pace, sprinting down the mountain towards her. Seconds away, she could only close her eyes and await this monster to reach her and do whatever it is he planned… yet that moment never came, as only the sound of a harp being plucked was heard.

She opened her eyes to see that she was no longer within the fields of carnage. She was greeted by a lush forest. Letting out a sigh of relief, she pressed her hand against her chest as she calmed down. The worst was over it seemed. She looked around her, yet was met with only the trees, grass, and various other flora. It was peaceful and quiet, almost eerily so.

After a while discerning that there was no immediate threat, she decided to wander, her eyes scanning her surroundings as she moved, still rather on edge due to the previous encounter with the dark figure. She came to a stop as she came across a clearing, and over by the distance, she could make out two figures, resting by a tree. She would have moved closer to get a better look, yet she noticed that only one of them was leaning against the tree as they sat… she then noticed the presence of blood.

The figure leaning against the tree was dying, that much was clear now, yet it was obvious that the second figure was not the one who inflicted such wounds. They were conversing, their words unheard as Celestine kept her distance. Soon, the dying figure took hold of a beautiful ornate sword, holding it towards the second figure. The figure took a knee, grabbing hold of the sword with respect as he bowed his head… though death would take the owner of the sword, she found it rather touching.

Soon, however, she would be interrupted as she felt the cold steel of chains wrap around her waist, before soon feeling it on her wrists and ankles as well. Violently, she was pulled back and away from the scene, and before she could let out a scream…

She awoke.

Celestine sat up quickly, clutching her chest as she hyperventilated, cold sweat running down all along her body. She took a moment to ease herself, her breath slowly returning to a normal pace. Looking towards the window, the moon was near if not directly at its apex. She hadn't slept for long it seemed.

"Just what was that?" She questioned herself as she rubbed her eyes… a dream? A nightmare? Perhaps it was even a vision, but if so, just what did it entail? The beginning of it all showed death and destruction, especially with the dark armored figure. Yet the following scene was rather vague, it could be interpreted in many a way. Celestine rubbed her temples as she contemplated, but soon gave up as she grew tired once more… perhaps she could discuss this with her most trusted confidant once day broke.

"Whoever these armored individuals are, they sound like trouble milady." Claudia spoke out as Celestine finished recounting the events of her supposed vision to the best of her ability.

The two were currently sat alone at a small round table in Celestine's quarters, drinking tea together. It was well past midday, the sun already beginning to disappear from the horizon. Celestine could only nod at her friend's statement. True, while the first two to behold themselves in her vision seemed the most worrisome, the other two seemed rather… tame. Perhaps it was even one of the two who plucked the harp strings and saved her from the clutches of the dark knight? Who knows, the two could only speculate at this point.

"Shall I have the knights mobilize to keep an eye out for these people?" Claudia suggested, placing down her tea cup on the table as she raised an eyebrow towards her liege. She could tell Celestine was thinking about it as she was gazing into the contents of her tea cup before taking a long sip.

"No, it should be alright for now. Besides, we must focus on the task at hand after all." Celestine decided, she too setting down her tea cup as she had just finished drinking. Indeed, they had a plan to siege Olga's castle, drag her out, and bring her back to Ken to face justice once and for all. They had recently concluded a council meeting earlier in the morning to discuss the grand plan. All seven of the Alliance had come to Ken just today after all, along with Vault himself, leader of the famous Black Dogs mercenaries. He was to play a vital role in this final battle.

Little did Celestine know, that would not be the case. A new war was coming, one that they were doomed to lose. A war started by the very man they sought to bring victory to their current struggle.

Both Celestine and Claudia gazed out of the window as they watched the sun set. Their eyes hopeful of the new dawn they thought will play out, the treachery of their compatriots wholly unknown to them. It truly seemed as if the future was hopeless, for who could stand against the massive forces of the Black Dogs, who are soon to be backed by the very monsters they once fought against.

And yet… just like the light of the sun persists to grace the world, so shall the light of hope.

And that marks the end of this chapter. A bit of a short one I suppose, but that's all I got for now.

Greetings and salutations. I am The NTR Knight, taker of waifus, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this story of mine. I am rather new to the Fanfiction scene, and my mind has been bombarding me with this idea for some time now, so here we are.

As such, I'd love to hear back from you so that I may improve. What I'm doing wrong, what I can improve on, what I'm doing right and should keep doing, and the likes. I will admit I'm not the best man to depict certain characters, so especially if I'm portraying a character in the wrong way, do tell me and I will do my best to research them further. Such as the Knights of the Round I shall be using.

With that said, I'm sure I gave some of the most obvious hints as to who will be making an appearance, though I suppose I'll clarify now that in no way will Artoria/Altria/Arthur be making an appearance, at least not physically, maybe in flashbacks of the knights, but definitely not in the world itself. I'm also sure I made it obvious who will be making an appearance first, with all the referencing to the sun after all.

I suppose that's all I have to say for now. College will be taking up most of my time, so I apologize if I won't be able to make a second chapter too soon… assuming this gains enough traction for such hype that is. Eh, whateva. This is just a concept for now anyway as I squeeze my brain for more ideas.

So for now, I bid thee adieu, and stay safe out there, God knows this pandemic is a pain.
