This is a story about romance between Erwin and Yukari from Girls Und Panzer because I'm weird and like the idea a lot. I'll try to stay true to their characters according to what I think they'll do or say. Spoilers for the anime and the OVA "Winter War". Any feedback is appreciated and I hope you enjoy.

Yukari sat up straight in her bed. She looked to the side and saw that her clock read 5:00 exactly. She was used to waking up at this time because she had been training so hard for the National tournament and the All-stars match against the University team. Now that both attempts to close-their school down have failed, the team could somewhat relax. However that didn't mean they didn't have to get up and train at 6 in the morning.

For Yukari, no matter how early or how much they had to train, she was always excited. She happily jumped out of bed and got ready. Putting on her tankery uniform and going downstairs to have breakfast. She then practically skipped out of the door and jogged excitedly to school in the cool morning air. She arrived at the tank garage 15 mins earlier than everyone else to gaze at the tanks in all their metallic glory, walking around each one, admiring every detail and recalling the history they were a part of.

Then she heard the garage doors open and ran to the source of the noise, hoping that the person she wanted to see was there. The light of the morning sun shone through the door opening as Miho stepped inside. Yukari rushed to her and stood to attention in front of Miho, putting her hand to her head in a heartily salute and said "Ohayo Nishizumi-dono!" Good morning miss Nishizumi!.

Miho blushed slightly at the honorific, embarrassed that she was being addressed so formally. Especially by a friend.

"Ohayo Yukari-san" she said politely.

Yukari felt her heart beat a little faster at those words spoken by the person she admired most. The other team members slowly started to trickle in their groups with the rest of anglerfish team coming in first to meet the two girls with Hana and Saori dragging a half-asleep Mako between them, holding one arm each. After everyone had settled down Miho stood in front of them, ready to address them.

"Everyone to your tanks, let's start training", Everyone cheered and rushed to their tanks, ready to train.

The school bell rang and Erwin adjusted her hat and walked to the front gate to meet her friends, Caeser, Oryu and Saemonza who were talking while they were waiting for her. She ran the last few metres so as not to keep them waiting and overheard their conversation.

"It's nice to get back to training tankery" Ceaser said,

"Yes, we've endured many battles, and we have many more to come" replied Saemonza, standing proud with her arms folded across her chest.

"We had some great moments during the National tournament" added Oryu.

Erwin caught up with them, stopping just in front of them.

"Hey guys, I heard you were talking about the tournament." She said. They started walking home and continued their conversation.

"Yes, I had a lot of fun sniping tanks with our Stug III" said Saemonza

"and shooting them up close, like in the Pravda match" quipped Oryu.

"I thought we were done for in that church, it felt like the siege of Leningrad, being surrounded on all sides"

"more like the battle of Cannae," said Ceasar.

"the battle of Shiroyama," said Oryu.

"or the battle of Okehazama*" Added Saemonza

"Sore da!" (That's it!) The other three shouted together, pointing at her.

"That was our closest match, I'm glad we won" said Ceasar said.

Everyone grunted in agreement and kept talking while Erwin thought of what happened during that match. She thought of the desperate situation in the church and what turned that situation around. She concluded that it was the information that the scout groups gathered. She smiled to herself as she thought of the fun she had with Guderian - the soul name she gave Yukari - singing Yuki No Shingun and getting to know her more. Erwin was impressed with how prepared she was for the cold weather and her knowledge of WW2 history. She found Yukari to be a little too excitable and bouncy but she had never had so much than when they went undercover to find out about the enemy formation. She felt so alive. There was something about Guderian that just made her so fun to be around. Erwin found herself smiling a little too happily to herself and quickly wiped it off her face, looking at her friends to see if they noticed. They didn't seem to notice as they were discussing more history and she breathed a sigh of relief that she didn't embarrass herself.

That was the first chapter, I hope you liked it and thought that it felt true to the characters and the series. Stay tuned for more soon, I'm definitely gonna make this a full story since I've had this idea in my head for a while and wanted to put it out there. Anyways, have a good day and I'll see you in the next chapter.
