Sengoku Warriors
Chapter 1
A/N : Hello everyone, this is my very first fanfiction and it is a crossover between Sengoku Basara and Samurai Warriors. It follows the story of the anime of Sengoku Basara but in this story mainly the girls (and some other characters of my choice :P ) of Samurai Warriors will also take part. It is going to be a more romantic story, considering that there aren't many hetero ships in Sengoku Basara and since I was watching some gameplay of Samurai Warriors, I said to myself that some of the characters would be very fun to be in Sengoku Basara and they would make good couples with some of the Basara characters. There are going to be some crack ships that I don't even know how I thought about, but also some very normal ones if you have ever played the game of Samurai Warriors. The two main ones in this story, considering I am following the storyline of the first season, are going to be Kunoichi x Yukimura and Kaihime x Masamune. I hope you guys enjoy this crazy idea of mine and if anyone does read it feel free to point out my mistakes and tell me if you like it or not. In this chapter you will see Kunoichi, lady Aya, Ujiyasu , Kaihime, Koshosho, lady Hayakawa, Inahime, Ginchiyo and Muneshige , Naotora, Hanzo , Kotaro, Ranmaru , Nobuyuki and Gracia from Samurai Warriors, even though most of them only briefly in their introduction (I prefer Kotaro, Muneshige and Ranmaru of Samurai Warriors and that's why they are the ones I chose) and the clothes they wear are from the very first game they appear ( so yeah Kunoichi wears a hat). Rating T for now, might change to M later. Anyway, enough with my babbling. Let's procced with the story.
Disclaimer : I don't own any of the characters of the two animes / games and if I did there would be a crossover between them for sure.
Chapter 1 : Azure and Crimson, a Fateful Encounter!
The Date army was preparing for a surprise attack in the middle of the night. They knew there was a battle between two other armies and they were moving towards it riding on horses. In the front was their leader, the one eyed dragon, Date Masamune, being followed by his right eye, Katakura Kojuro.
"Are you ready guys? ", yelled Masamune.
His army answered by pumping their fists in the air and yelling yes.
" Alright, let' s do it!", he replied back moving a little faster. " Ok boys, here comes the fun part! Let's get this party started!"
His loyal soldiers pumped their fists again screaming yes and followed their leader into the night.
"Here we go!" , yelled Masamune jumping with his horse over a dike, while his sholdiers followed his example.
They arrived at the battlefield, which was under a cliff. Masamune though, had no problem going down the cliff with his horse. As he was running down the cliff, he yelled loud and clear so that his enemies could hear him " Big boss of Oshou , Date Masamune, full speed ahead!" and then he jumped from his horse wielding his six swords and attacked.

In a castle, somewhere quite far from where the previous scene took place, another young warrior, Sanada Yukimura broke down it's gates. He bust in riding his horse and swinging his spears, yelling " Your castle gate is like a paper screen under the force of my perfect spear of conquest. Sanada Yukimura is here! Those valiant of heart make your stand now!"
The soldiers protecting the castle tried to attack him, despite the fact they were scared of the young samurai's strength. Behind those soldiers, on one of the castle's walls, was sitting a young ninja girl, a kunoichi who had no name and everybody called her by her occupation or , when they were her enemies, they called her the vixen because of her playful nature. She was there to keep an eye on her lord Yukimura, that was her job. She knew that he wouldn't need her help this time though. He had it all under control.
He used one of his spears to swipe away most of them and he attacked them yelling" I am doing this for you your Lordship! Without fail I should hoist your battle over the capital!".
Outside his Lord Takeda Shingen was waiting along with his army. He was proud , because Yukimura , the young cab had succeed on his mission. Next to him was Sanada Nobuyuki, Yukimura's older brother, equally proud.
Yukimura yelled" Behold the might of clan Takeda!" and continued attacking them. Kunoichi sighed ,before she said to herself " I guess he could use some help after all" and then she jumped in the battle wielding her daggers, while a small flying squirrel, her loyal pet Tsukimaru, who had been hiding in her hat jumped outside as well following her.

A time of chaos in uprisings. Samurai lords spill hostilities across the country. Every samurai had something different to protect.

Omi ( Azai territory)
Azai Nagamasa was speaking to his loyal soldiers. Next to him was his beautiful wife Oda Oichi.
" In the name of justice, it is my duty to destroy all evil! Oichi behold my magnificence!", said lord Azai.
" Yes my lord Nagamasa", answered Oichi.

Aki ( Mori territoty)
Mori Motonari, a cold tactician was speaking to his army swinging around his round weapon.
" To those who plan to invade our land, by the authority of the Sun, I will let you know merciless destruction!", he said throwing his weapon high towards his beloved Sun.

Shikoku ( Chosokabe territory)
Chosokabe Motochika, a man more of a pirate than a samurai was talking to his crew. Close to him, as always, was his beautiful wife, a dangerous beauty named Koshosho, she was smirking towards Motochika as he spoke.
" I am known as the devil of Onigashima! Anyone who wishes to be devoured is invited to come at any time!", said Motochika smirking.
His crew started yelling captain, in joy, while Koshosho's smirk turned into an actual smile.

Chikuzen (Tachibana territory)
Lady Ginchiyo Tachibana, a proud female samurai was speaking to her people. Behind her was her handsome husband, Muneshige.
"We are the proud Tachibana clan! Anyone who stands in our way will be crashed by the Gods of thunder and the wind!", yelled the young woman, always serious, while her husband had a carefree smile plastered on his face.

Mikawa (Tokugawa territory)
Tokugawa Ieyasu, a young man no more than 15 years old, was the leader of the Tokugawa clan despite his young age. He was speaking to his soldiers who always had his back and would follow him everywhere.
Behind him were his most loyal warriors, lady Inahime, a beautiful young woman, just a few years older than Ieyasu and daughter of the most powerful warrior in the land Honda Tadakatsu, and Hanzo Hattori, one of the greatest ninja in the land, a man who would die in order to protect his lord.
" I will be the one to write the story of this era!", yelled Ieyasu while swinging his spear. "Tadakatsu, on the pride of the Mikawa warriors, destroy the enemy!".
Tadakatsu Honda, who was outside of the tent where their lord was, didn't say a word as usual, yet got even more prepared for a fight.

Odawara ( Hojo territory)
Hojo Ujiyasu was a man who had fought many fights in his life. He was greatly respected by everyone in Kyoto. That is why he always had to make sure to everyone that he was indeed there to protect them.
Alongside him were his four sons and his oldest daughter, lady Hayakawa, a girl that despite her cute looks wanted to help her father to protect their land, even though her mother and sisters were against her fighting. Lady Kaihime, a young girl just a little older than Hayakawa that lord Ujiyasu had taken under his wing of protection was there as well.
Another young girl ,around 16 years old, was sitting close to them yet it was obvious that she was a guest there, named lady Naotora. She was leader of the Ii clan and was an ally of the Hojo because of the fact that they both served the Imagawa.
" If anyone dares to disturb our peace and threaten the safety of our family, we will make them pay for messing with the Hojo!", yelled Ujiyasu to his people.
His children, Kai and Naotora all smiled. They all seemed to ignore the fact that hidden in a tree nearby was Fuma Kotaro, a ninja that served the Hojo family and was known through Japan. He smirked evilly before he disappeared.

Owari
The Oda army had destroyed the whole province and had burned down the temples there. Akechi Mitsuhide, one of Oda's greatest retainers slayed the last survivor with his scythes. "Let me be the one to offer your soul to Budha", he whispered. "I won't be disposing of your bones.", he said finally before leaving the temple for the flames to take.
"Bow down to us. As penance for disrespecting the King of the Clan of a Hundred Devils, die and make reparations in the afterlife. There are none before me and none behind me. I am the sixth Divine Demon King, Oda Nobunaga!", shouted the Demon King to his followers.
Behind him were waiting his gorgeous wife, lady Nohime, his most loyal soldier, a young boy named Ranmaru and Mitsuhide's young daughter, Gracia. When Mitsuhide landed close to her, she immediately hugged him, screaming happily "Father!". For once Mithuhide's bloodthirsty expression disappeared and got replaced by a caring and loving one.

It was night. Sarutobi Sasuke, a Takeda ninja was running through the woods towards the Takeda camp.
Takeda Shingen, Sanada Nobuyuki and Sanada Yukimura were all waiting for Sasuke to come back and report, alongside the Takeda army. Shingen didn't show any emotion when he realized that Sasuke had come back, instead he asked, knowing that the ninja would hear him, "How is it Sasuke?"
"It is as you suspected", answered the ninja.
Leaves rustled nearby and suddenly Kunoichi landed near them followed by Tsukimaru. "There is an enemy kunoichi somewhere in the forest, as you predicted my Lord" , she said while putting her hands behind her head. " I don't get why you didn't want me to attack her though", she continued a bit disappointed. Tsukimaru landed on her right hand and agreed with her with a small squeak.
Shingen didn't look at her either " I think that they have nothing to see that they already don't know, besides that kunoichi and Sasuke have a history, it isn't your job to meddle with his affairs."
Sasuke sweatdropped at that and Kunoichi huffed a little annoyed.
"Yukimura!", Shingen didn't turn his attention to him either.
"Sir!", came the young samurai's immediate reply.
"Take your squad and attack their flank. Nobuyuki you remain with me."
" What?!", screamed Yukimura surprised. " My Lord, even if the enemy is on top of a mountain, isn't it the custom of the Takeda to attack in a full-frontal assault?"
"FOOL!", yelled Shingen while punching him. Everyone else stayed still having been used to their Lord's and Yukimura's little sparring matches. Nobuyuki sighed.
"The correct offensive strategy depends on the battle. If you are stubborn in your strategy, the army will be destroyed, Yukimura", continued Shingen.
"B-But… You and Lord Kenshin are rivals. If you order a sneak attack in the middle of the night… More than anything your honor will be-", Yukimura was interrupted by another punch from Shingen. "Ah, he'll never learn", whispered Nobuyuki looking away.
"I do this because he is my rival. You may call this a sneak attack. You will eliminate Uesugi's soldiers and generals, thus forcing Kenshin to retreat.", said Shingen quite calmly considering he had just punched Yukimura.
"M-My Lord…", stuttered Yukimura.
"You could call it "The Woodpecker Strategy." If we fail, I will accept in the afterworld that it was a poor strategy, but if it is you and I, we will succed!", said Shingen making Yukimura understand what his Lord had in mind.
"My Lord! I didn't know you'd thought so deeply about it! I, Yukimura, was wrong! I will risk my life on your strategy!", he came closer to Shingen as he spoke.
"I'm counting on you, Yukimura", said Shingen.
"Oyakata-sama!", screamed Yukimura in joy.
"Yukimura!"
"Oyakata-sama!"
"Yukimura!"
"Oyakata-sama!"
"Yukimura!", yelled Shingen raising his fists. "Oyakata-sama!", replied Yukimura doing the same.
They continued shouting each other's names for a while, despite all the others still being there. Sasuke scratched his cheek whispering "Good grief!".
Kunoichi looked at them, hands still behind her head with Tsukimaru sitting on the top of her hat. "Is it really the time to do this?", she asked no one in particular.
"Is it ever the time to do this?", replied Sasuke. Nobuyuki came closer to them. "Kunoichi, please take care of my brother as you always do", he asked.
"With pleasure, Lord Nobuyuki!", she said smiling softly. Tsukimaru squeaked his agreement.
Sasuke chuckled. "Isn't it always with pleasure when it comes to Lord Yukimura?"
Kunoichi turned red, while Nobuyuki laughed. It was well known in the Takeda army, that Kunoichi had a huge crush on Yukimura, even Shingen knew about it and would often joke with the others or tease her. Only Yukimura seemed completely oblivious, making things a little funny between them. "Shut it you stupid monkey! At least, Sasuke, my love interest is in OUR army", she said smirking with the fact that she probably hit a nerve.
"It's complicated…", whispered Sasuke, scratching his chin. "My love interest knows about my true feelings towards her, though", replied Sasuke smirking. He had the upper hand again.
Kunoichi got flustered again and continued bickering with Sasuke, while Nobuyuki left them alone, all the while wondering how his brother could be so oblivious about poor Kunoichi's feelings, especially considering the fact that she and Sasuke were arguing about the whole issue just a few feet away from Yukimura's and Shingen's shouting competition. Well his brother had a lot to learn about understanding other people's feelings.
Yukimura got on his horse and he began for the area they would attack, followed by Takeda's soldiers. Kunoichi followed him by jumping on tree branches.
"Is it alright like this my Lord?", asked Sasuke. "You didn't tell him the real purpose of the mission".
"He will fight without knowing the reason. If he will not fight, that is a different matter.", said Shingen
"I am pretty sure he will.", said Nobuyuki. He also knew the real reason why his brother was sent on that mission.
" Me too.", replied Shingen smiling.

Uesugi Kenshin was training a little bit with his sword while he waited on his camp for his spy's return. Very close to him, was his older sister, Aya Gozen, who was sitting down drinking some sake.
" Kasuga, you've returned?", asked Kenshin, stopping his training when he felt his ninja's presence.
"Yes.", said the blond kunoichi flustered and came in the camp. Aya gave her a side glance and continued drinking. It was known, despite the fact that Aya herself would deny it, that she didn't like the kunoichi. After all, she came to their army because she couldn't complete her mission of killing Kenshin and that was because she fell in love with him. So she would have killed her brother, a reason not to trust her and she had fallen in love with him, despite the fact that she is a kunoichi, who is not allowed to fall in love. Aya always supported love and peace but she wasn't sure whether this woman's feelings were genuine. Yup, Aya disliked the younger woman.
Kasuga bowed down in front of Kenshin. "As Kenshin-sama expected, the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu… is behind our forces and catching up."
No reason for the dramatic pause, thought Aya and took another sip.
" I see", said Kenshin looking serious. "At the northernmost point, order them to fight vigorously until the enemy is dead. I had not foreseen this, but in the end.."
" There is something else.", interrupted Kasuga. Kenshin looked at her waiting for her to finish. He should tell her to say everything at the moment she reports and not interrupt him like that. Ah, Kenshin is too soft on her, thought Aya setting her glass down.
"What is it?", asked Kenshin.
Kasuga flushed more before answering. "One of Takeda's squadrons has taken a different route. They are likely planning to attack us here on Mt. Saijo."
Kenshin looked at Kasuga a little surprised, while Aya smirked and refilled her cup. Foolish little kunoichi, you have yet a lot to learn.
"It seems likely that they intend to launch a surprise attack under the cover of night. Also, I am sorry sir, but a ninja of theirs spotted me yet did nothing about it-", continued Kasuga but stopped when she saw the smile on her lord's face.
"The Tiger of Kai. We should have expected this.", said Kenshin looking quite pleased. Aya giggled a little at Kasuga's obvious confusion.
"Kenshin-sama?", asked Kasuga very confused now. Kenshin bowed down at her level coming closer to her and making her more flustered. Aya tried her best to ignore the scene, because she was certain that if this continued for long she would make many mean comments.
"This is what it means to be able to fight with all of your concentration. Good work my elegant sword", he said softly to Kasuga with the last part being almost whispered to her and his hand on her cheek. Aya downed more sake so that she wouldn't say anything.
"Everyone, prepare for battle! With the flame of God in your heart, follow me! Our target is one man: the Tiger of Kai. The will of God is with us!", he said raising his sword high. "Bishamonten protect us!", he yelled in the skies. His army raised their fists and let out a war cry, ready to fight. Aya finally let down for good her cup and grabbed her staff that she had placed near her.
" My lady, always stay close to me.", said Kenshin for the first time talking to his sister. Aya smiled lovingly. "Don't worry dear brother, I'll always be by your side."

Date Masamune's army was marching in the forest towards the Uesugi camp. Katakura Kojurou, his right eye came closer to him with his horse. "Masamune-sama!" " What is it, Kojurou?" "I advise that we halt the army and send a scout ahead to Mt. Saijo!"
Masamune didn't like the idea much though. "Huh?"
"I have a bad feeling. It's as if they are waiting for us.", said Kojurou.
"Isn't that good ? Can't blame them if they are on guard."
"But then it won't be a surprise attack!"
"No problem! Let's go, Kojurou!"
Kojurou tried to say something else, but his lord had already created a large distance between them. In the end he smiled knowing that Masamune would always act like that, even if it was a little reckless on his part. After all it was his job to make sure that Masamune was safe, that was why he was his right eye.
They reached the Uesugi camp, but it was empty. "It looks like they've already left to battle old Takeda.", said Masamune. " This could be a trap." Kojurou caught up with him and they stopped thinking of their next move. As they were waiting, they heard noise from horses and suddenly a small army emerged from the forest, led by a young man dressed in red who didn't look like he belonged to the Uesugi.

Yukimura looked at the man dressed in blue armour. It's not the Uesugi army! "Full halt! Stop!", he yelled at his troops. He turned around with the help of his spears and jumped holding them tightly. Kunoichi landed next to him holding her daggers in a defensive stance and Tsukimaru landed on her shoulder ready to attack. The crest of a crescent moon and an eyepatch, he thought. " Could this be the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu? Date Masamune.?", asked Yukimura out loud this time. "It has to be him considering his appearance. Also I think his emblem is the one of the Date, so yeah it must be him.", said Kunoichi. Yukimura nodded at her. Masamune and Kojurou smiled at each other.
" I am Sanada Genjirou Yukimura. If I am not mistaken you are the leader of Oshu, Date Masamune-dono. What are you doing here?", yelled Yukimura towards the enemy troops.
"You're red.", answered Masamune simply.
"Red? How rude…", said Yukimura. "Considering what you are wearing I wouldn't call him rude", said Kunoichi. "Shhh Kunoichi. I am trying to be the mature one in this." "And that's working how exactly?", asked Kunoichi sarcastically crossing her arms on her chest while Tsukimaru sweatdropped. She didn't get any answer though, because Masamune interrupted them.
"You're Takeda's sacrificial pawn, aren't you?", Masamune jumped down from his horse grabbing one of his six swords. "I am pursuing Uesugi, and I will attack Kawanakajima."
"Wh—", Yukimura was once again interrupted by Masamune.
" So if you two are done with your lovers' quarrel, will you retreat, or will you stop me? Either option, I can already see my victory."
Both Yukimura and Kunoichi got pissed at this guy's attitude towards them. "Rude is actually very kind considering his manners…", said Kunoichi. " You act as if you will defeat me. I do not understand why you think so.", yelled Yukimura. "Because he is an arrogant bastard", mattered Kunoichi mainly to herself.
"I'm only saying that "One-Eyed Dragon" isn't just a fancy name. You see.", said Masamune cockily.
" I cannot allow you to interfere in the fight between my Lord and Lord Kenshi!", yelled Yukimura preparing his spears.
" Perfect.", said Masamune. "Kojurou don't let anyone interfere." "Understood", came Kojurou's immediate reply. "That goes for you too red. Don't let your girlfriend meddle with this."
"That filthy-"
"Kunoichi."
"Yes lord Yukimura."
" Stay back and don't interfere. This is my fight."
"But….. Fine I will stay put my lord. Men and their stupid pride.", the last part was whispered to Tsukimaru who nodded in agreement.
Masamune jumped holding only his one sword and yelled, " Leader of Oshu, Date Masamune!"
Yukimura readied his spear and yelled " Sanada Yukimura! I will fight with all of my strength!"

A/N
So how was it? Like it? Hate it? Please review, your feedback will be very useful to me. So far things go with the anime scenario for the most part. That will change a little bit with the parts the new characters will have. Obviously the story isn't going to be historically accurate but neither samurai warriors or sengoku basara are that accurate. Also one small detail, Koshosho was Motochika's concubine but in this story she will be his wife, after all I am pretty sure if sengoku basara's Motochika met Koshosho from samurai warriors he would fall for her eventually. There is going to be one very crack ship in this story which follows the first season, not spoiling it yet. It will take a while for me to post chapter 2 because soon my exams will start, but even if nobody reads it ( I hope someone will), I will finish this story. Till next time.
