It was an unusually quiet day down in the lair, home of the team known as the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
After spending the morning doing their exercises and training, member went to do their own acticvity.
Leo, the group's leader, was meditating along with the turtles teacher/father master Splinter, Donnie was working on some experiments in his lab, Mikey was playing video games with ice cream kitty, the unofficial pet of the team, and Raph was playing pinball, as his own pet Chompy, an alien turtle creature he found when he, his brothers, and their huamn friends April O'Neil and Casey Jones went into outer space, sat on his shoulder.
Anytime the red bandanna wearing turtle hit another high score, Chompy made a cheering sound.
"Thanks little guy," said Raph, as he pet Chompy's head with the tip of his finger.
Once he finished his last game, Raph turned to Chompy and asked, "Want to watch "The Lizardsarus That Ate Hoboken?"
Chompy responded using his same noise.
"I thought so.
It's your favorite moive," Raph chuckled, as he gently scooped his "little buddy" into his hands.

After grabbing a few quick snacks and drinks from the kitchen, Raph and Chompy made their way to the living room.
"Hey Mikey, about giving up the TV to someone else for a bit?" Raph asked, as he placed the small alien turtle gentely onto a pillow.
"Come on dude, ice cream kitty and I are in the middle of a game," Mikey replied.
"Meow," ice cream kitty chimed in.
"You two have been playing that stupid Blario car race game all morning.
Chompy and I would like to watch a movie.
Besides, who ever heard of a cat playing a video game," said Raph.
"Come on dude, ice cream kitty is a champ at video games," said Mikey.
The mutagen and ice cream creature tapped her paws on the game controler.
"That's not playing!
He's just getting the controlers sticky with goo," said Raph.
"First off, ice cream kitty is a girl and second, she is so playing.
She's already beatten me 6 times."
Chompy slide off the pillow and made his way to the remote control on the couch coushion, which he then gripped a button with his mouth, turning off Mikey and ice cream kitty's game, making the screen on the TV look scrambled.
"Hey man!
We were in the middle of a game," said Mikey.
While the orange bandanna wearring turtle was peeved, Raph was the opposite.
"Good boy Chompy," he said, before giving his pet a tiny slice of pepperoini as a treat.
Not cool dude!
You messed up our game!"
"Maybe you can let us watch a movie."
"No way, you owe us a game!"
The turtles weren't the only ones bickering, ice cream kitty began to hiss at Chompy, who made a growling sound.

"What's going on out here?" said a voice.
Raph, Mikey and their pets looked up to see that their teacher/father master Splinter, was standing above the next to the couch.
"Guys, what's the problem?" added Leo.
Donnie exited his lab and said, "Yeah, what's all the commotion out here?
I can hear it in my lab."
"Mikey's hogging the TV and Chompy wants to watch a movie," Raph replied.
"But Ice Cream Kitty and I were in the middle of a game," Mikey said back.
"My sons I suggest the best way to handle this situation is to figure this out for yourselves," Splinter suggested.
A thought came to Raph, as he snapped his fingers and said, "That's it!
Mikey, I challenge you and your "creature" friend to a battle of the pets between you two verses Chompy and I.
Winner gets full rights of the TV for a week, plus the loser has to treat the winner to pizza for a week as well."
"You got it bro," said Mikey.
"If anyone needs me, I'll be in the dojo reading," said Splinter, as he dissapeared back to his room, with a cup of tea, that he got from the kitchen in hand.
"I'll join you sensi," said Leo.
"And I've got some more work to do in the lab," added Donnie, as he nor his brother were interested in the battle of the pets.
"Hold it!
You two aren't going anywhere.
We need a judge and a referee to make sure a certain someone doesn't cheat," said Raph, as he glared over at Mikey.
"Hey I never cheated," the orange bandanna wearing turtle said defending himself, which earned glares from his three brothers, causing him to answer, "OK OK, it was only one game of go fish, but in my defense I was 5 years old."
"Very well," Leo and Donnie said at the same time with a sigh in their voice and also rolled their eyes a bit, knowing the two had better things to do than watching a best pet contest.

"Hey fellas," a voice called out.
"Hey dudes what's happing?" another voice added.
The turtles looked to see that their human friends April O'Neil and Casey Jones had arrived.
"Great, you two made it just in time," said Raph.
"Just in time for what?" wondered April.
"Raph just challenged Mikey to a best pet off between Chompy and Ice Cream Kitty," Leo replied.
"So now the two of us have tp be referee and judge and make sure there's no cheating," added Donnie.
"Wait a minute, a mutant ice cream cat verses an alien turtle?
This I've got to see.
I know for sure Chompy's gonna kick butt," said Casey.
"Alright Casey, glad you're on my side," said Raph, as he gave the teenage boy high five.
"So, who's side your taking red?"
"April, time for your kounochi lessons," Splinter called out.
"Gotta go," April slightly chuckled as she headed into the dojo, feeling reliefed of not taking part in a ridiculous contest.
"Congradulations Csasey, you're now the score keeper," said Donnie.
"OK then," spoke Casey.
The purple bandanna wearing turtle went back into his lab and came back seconds later with an erasable board.
"Wait a minute, how are we going to keep score?" asked Raph.
"One point per trick," Leo suggested.
"Sounds fair."
"I agree as well," added Mikey.
"Let's get this battle started then," said Raph.
And with that, the best pet off between Chompy and Ice Cream Kitty began.

"Ok, here are the rules.
The pet who can preform the most takes and earn the highest score is the winner.
With the loser giving the winnner TV rights as well as buying them pizza for the next week," said Leo, before he blew a referee whistle.
"Also, one point will be given to the pet who completes the trick or task.
Execpt for the fianl test, which is worth a total of five points," Donnie added, with the first trick being sitting up."
Raph turned to Chompy and said," OK little guy.
Sit up, sit up Chompy."
Chompy then stood up on his hine legs.
"Good boy."
Raph pet the top of the alien turtle's head with the tip of his finger.
"Does it count if Ice Cream Kitty stands up in her bowl all the time?" Mikey asked.
Leo and Donnie looked at each other and turned back to their brother for an answer.
"Yes," Leo responded.
"Since Ice Cream Kitty natrually stands up in the bowl, and Chompy performed the trick, they both get a point each," added Donnie.
Casey drew a small line on each side of the board, giving both pets a point each.

"The next task will be rollinging over," said Leo.
"Come on Chompy.
You can do it," Raph encouraged the turtle alien.
"You've got this girl," Mikey told Ice Cream kitty.
While Chompy indeed rolled over, the half cat/ half frozen treat mutant was only able to spin in her bowl.
"Sorry Mikey, but only Chompy gets a point for this round.
That was only a spin and not fully rollinging over," said Donnie.
"Aww man," spoke the orange bandanna clad turtle.
Casey placed another small line on Chompy's side of the board.
"Yes!
Good boy Chompy," spoke Raph.
"Don't worry girl, you'll catch up," Mikey said to Ice Cream Kitty.

The other challenges that were given to Ice Cream Kitty and Chompy were sitting up, begging, speaking and playing dead.
Ice Cream Kitty was able to catch up to Chompy, but she was still one point behind.
"The next task is the treat balancing contest," Leo announced.
Raph placed a small piece of pepperioni onto Chompy's nose, and had no issues with balancing, while Mikey attempted to put an ice cube on Ice Cream Kitty's nose, which ended up melting into her "skin" right away.
"Another point for Chompy," said Donnie, as Casey drew another small line on Chompy's side of the board.
"Six points for Chompy, five points for Ice Cream Kitty," said Casey.
This now placed Ice Cream Kitty two points behind Chompy.
"Good boy Chompy," said Raph, who fed his pet the slice of pepperoini.
"Aww man," said Mikey once again.
"Don't worry Mikey, Ice Cream Kitty does a chance to catch up," said Leo, trying to cheer up his youngest brother.
"That's right.
The final contest is worth five points," Donnie added.
"I'm not sure about that guys.
I mean, who is Ice Cream Kitty gonna run his race.
She lives in a bowl," Casey pointed out.

"Hey guys, what have I missed?" asked April, walking out of the dojo, following her lessons, and grabbed a bottle of water from her bag.
"So far, Chompy is in the lead," Raph replied, with a huge smile on his face.
"And the only way Ice Cream Kitty can catch up is if she wins the last contest worth five points," Leo added.
Casey and Donnie had finished setting up for the race, the purple bandanna clad said, "First one to make it to the lab door, will be declared winner with five points."
Mikey and Raph placed Chompy and Ice Cream Kitty at the starting line.
"On your marks, get set GO!" called Leo as he waved a flag.
And with that, the race took off.
Actually, only Chompy appeared to move, while Ice Cream Kitty just stood still in her bowl.
"Go Chompy Go!" chantted Raph and Casey.
"Come on girl!
You've got this," Mikey and April cheered Ice Cream Kitty on.
However, the half frozen dessert/ half feline was still unable to move, due to not having any back legs but a bowl.
Ice Cream Kitty though was determine, and began to use her front legs, while pulling the bowl from behind.
Though Chompy waas leading the way, the alien turtle did turn to see what was going on behind him.
Chompy was now making his way back to the starting line.

"Chompy?
What are you doind dude?" said Casey.
"Chompy, turn around!
The finish line's the other way," said Raph.
At that moment, everyone gathered at the starting line to see what was going on.
"Casey Raph, you have to see this," said April.
Chompy got behind Ice Cream Kitty's bowl and began to push her.
"Hey Raph, tell Chompy to leave Ice Cream Kitty alone," said Mikey.
"Mikey, Chompy isn't hurting Ice Cream Kitty.
He's helping her," April pointed out.
Chompy is helping Ice Cream Kitty win?" asked Casey.
"Looks that way."
"Isn't this a form of cheating?" asked Raph.
Leo and Donnie looked at each other, nodded, then turned to their brother and replied, "No."
"No?
Why?" asked Raph.
"Since Ice Cream Kitty has a slight challenge, Chompy helping her is not considered cheating," Donnie replied.
"I think what Chompy doing is very kind," Leo added.
"In a way, you should be proud of Chompy.
You've seem to have taught him about being there for others in need," April pointed out.
"April's right Raphael, it seems as though Chompy might had picked up along with tricks you've taught him, characteristics on how to treat others.
Pets are not as ordinary as we think they are," said Splinter.

Chompy pushed Ice Cream Kitty to about a few inches from the finish line.
While the alien turtle tottled his way, the half frozen treat/ half cat stretched her tounge onto the line at the same time her competetor made his way across.
"So who won?" asked Casey.
"Looks like it could be a photo finish," Leo answered.
"What's a photo finish?" asked Mikey.
"That means they take a picture of who won the race."
"I was able to take a photo," said April, as she handed her T-phone to Donnie, who looked over the picture.
"Well, what's the scoop?" asked Casey
."Who won the race?" Raph added.
Donnie inspected the photo and answered, "Judging at the angle and how Chompy and Ice Cream Kitty made it to the finsh line at the same time, they both won."
"Ice Cream Kitty won?" Mikey asked with a huge smile on his face.
"Well techinally, even though both won the race, since Chompy indeed had more points than Ice Cream Kitty, he's the actually winner."
Raph picked up Chompy and said in a very excited voice, "You did it little guy!
I'm so proud of you!"
Chompy made a gleeful sound.
The meanwhile, Ice Cream Kitty lowered her head, as she let out a sad meowing sound.
Mikey knelt beside her and said, "You did good girl.
And I'm very proud of you."
The half cat/ half frozen treat mutant peeked her head up, let out a happy meow sound, and gave Mikey a lick on the nose, leaving a dab of strawberry ice cream on his face.

Raph then approached his younger brother and said Hey Mikey."
The orange bandanna wearing turtle stood up, looked his brother directly in the eye and said, "Go ahead Raph, I'm ready.
Rub Chompy's winning in my face."
"Actually, I just wanted to say, Ice Cream Kitty did great," said Raph.
"Really?
But Chompy still won."
"Yes, but how you kept encouraging her, not putting her down, and I see how you take care of her.
You know Mikey, sometimes you're a pretty cool guy."
Mikey beamed with pride from his brother, who usually gives him a hard time, give him a complaiment.
"Thanks bro," said Mikey.
"Hey how bout I get us all some pizza and play a few video games?" Raph asked.
"Sounds great but you won, I should be out getting the pizza and giving the TV to you."
"Just for one day.
It's my treat."
"Thanks bro."

"Raphael," said Master Splinter.
"Yes Master Splinter," said Raph.
"Chompy left me a "present" in the dojo."
The turtles teacher/father handed the red bandanna clad turtle a broom and a dustpan."
"Yes sensi," said Raph, as he took the cleaning items.
"Looks like I'll be the one getting the pizza then, but that's cool with me, said Mikey, who then added, You know Raph, Chompy maybe great in performing tasks and tricks, and teaching him very well.
But it looks like you forgot one important lesson that since Ice Cream Kitty has a bowl I don't have to teach.
House training.
"Mikey do me a favor will ya and shut up," grumbled Raph as he headed into the dojo with the broom and dust pan, while Mikey just giggled.

The End
