"The Ballad of The Windfish" was playing, thundering into his ears. Link never thought this majestic set of notes could intimidate him this much. Usually, he heard this song from her.

Ever since he washed up on the shores of Koholint island, ever since he woke up in Tarin's and her house, all he wanted to do was leave. Of course, she said that it would make her happy.

But now he was here, he found that he wasn't ready to part with the people of this place. Heck, he wasn't even ready to part with Koholint.

They had been so kind, so patient, so caring to him, and here he was, wiping them from existence. He knew they didn't exist to begin with, but they were conscious people, with they're own personalities, they're own hopes and dreams.

"Link...?" Her voice called.

Marin's face was painful to look at.

"M..M-Marin!" He stuttered. He stumbled toward her and stood there, eyes widen. Tears stung his eyes, as he tried to blink them away. Seeing Marin's face covered in them didn't make it any better. She threw her arms around him and held him close, and he let his tears stain her sweet-smelling hair.

"Link, I wanted to show this to you before, but I couldn't because my Dad kept cutting me off" She chuckled dryly. "This is my chance, and I hope you like it. Can you close your eyes for me?" He did what she told him to do.

Before link could say anything, Marin started singing:

"Sleepers wake

Dreams will fade

Although we cling fast

Was it real?

What we saw?

I believe

Lost in dreams

We sleep on

Tossing and turning

Stay with me

By my side

Never leave..."

A white light enveloped Link...
