Hisashi Shigaraki, more commonly known as All for One, surveyed his brand-new person-sized bank vault. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Yoichi tugged on his arm. "Come on, big brother. You promised. I want to help you out! This will be the perfect bait for those foolish heroes. I'll play the part of the helpless victim in need of rescue, uncover their plans, then send you the location of their secret base."

"I worry about putting you in danger." Hisashi sighed, looking over his frail little brother. "I'm happy to have you stick to managing the financials of my organization. You shouldn't overstrain your body."

"I hate being so sick." Yoichi pouted. "I just want to do something important for once, something to make me feel worthy of ruling alongside you. Please?"

As always, Hisashi couldn't resist those big green eyes. "All right." He ruffled his brother's hair. "I brought you a new shipment of comic books to keep you from getting bored, including that rare one you've been eying: Action Comics #1."

"The very first Superman comic in existence!" Yoichi gasped. "Thank you so very very much, big brother! You're the best! I love you!"

Hisashi beamed. "How about a hug, hmm?"

Yoichi immediately glomped him. "Of course, big brother! You're amazing, and I'm so grateful to have you as my brother! Thank you!"

"Please, go on." Hisashi practically purred with happiness as he stroked his little brother's hair.

Inwardly, Yoichi smirked. Too easy, as usual. Yoichi loved his big brother and especially loved how easy it was to manipulate him. Hisashi would give him anything in exchange for a little praise and affection.

Their cover story of a brotherly quarrel wasn't plausible at all to anyone who knew Hisashi. What kind of idiot would Yoichi have to be if he couldn't get along with a doting older brother who would hand over collector's items worth millions of dollars for a hug? A good thing that heroes were gullible and vulnerable to blah-blah about ideals.

Both Hisashi and Yoichi would quickly come to regret their plan.

The First One for All user had no intention of being the "first" anything. It had seemed like a great idea at the time to make out with that hot hero leader—seducing him would make it easier to kill him later. Yoichi had never meant to pass on his quirk! Before he could get back the stockpiling quirk his beloved brother gave him, Yoichi choked to death on a plum pit in a freak accident.

It came as an unpleasant surprise to Yoichi to wake up in a Void stuck with a bunch of heroes. What could he do except play along with their idealized image of him and send them after All for One in hopes they'd all die?

At least Yoichi had managed to hold back enough power from All Might to narrowly stop him from ripping off his big brother's face. That last stunt had started to make the others suspicious of him. Yoichi desperately hoped the next One for All holder would be defeated so he could get out of here. Not that any of the vestiges could do anything to harm each other, but if the others found out he'd been deliberately draining their life forces while they were alive, it was going to be so awkward to be stuck in a room with them for the rest of eternity.

ONE HUNDRED OR SO YEARS LATER:

Hisashi held out his hand. "I'm so proud of you, son."

Izuku smiled as he took the hand. "I know my quirk will be safe with you." Their palms flashed as he willingly transferred his ability to his father.

Izuku had a souped-up version of All for One that allowed him to steal people's quirks from a distance. He was looking forward to using his ability to help his father conquer Japan.

But first, they'd formed a plan to steal the powerful quirk One for All and rescue Izuku's uncle. Izuku would pretend to be a quirkless teenager who loved heroes in order to lure All Might into making him his successor. Then he would kill All Might and run off with One for All.

Hisashi asked, "Do you remember where to go so my minion will attack you? Make certain you dodge to the right, we agreed you'd dodge to the right."

Izuku rolled his eyes. "We don't need to go over the plan again. Stop fretting, Dad. That guy with the sludge power is a trusted ally—it's not as if he'll actually hurt me."

"I know." Hisashi rubbed his forehead. "It's just my last hero infiltration plan involving your uncle went so horribly wrong…"

"I promise to stay away from plum pits. I already have Mom to worry over me, I don't need you to do it too."

A banging came from behind a metal door.

Hisashi glanced at the vault. "Are you sure I can't just kill that thing already?"

Izuku pouted. "Come on, Dad. Please?" He made puppy eyes.

"You know I can't resist that adorable expression." Hisashi patted his son's head. "Fine, but you're responsible for feeding and cleaning up after your pet. Here, have another couple thousand yen just because you're cute."

"Thank you, Dad!" Izuku pecked his father's cheek as he took the money.

As soon as his father left, Izuku headed toward the door. He called, "Still causing trouble, Tomura?"

"You know I prefer to be called Tenko," his adopted brother growled. "Please, Izuku, don't do this! Japan needs All Might!"

Izuku said, "Japan will do fabulously under my father's rule. You could still join us, big brother. Stop being so stubborn."

Tomura was Izuku's cousin on his mother's side. They'd adopted him after his family died in a tragic accident. Hisashi had tried to teach Tomura the family trade of villainy, but the boy had no aptitude for it. Tomura even carried ants outside the house instead of squashing them.

After Tomura had tried to report All for One's businesses to the authorities, Izuku had requested his life be spared. Izuku still cared about his adopted brother, who was so adorable and easily teased like a cute little pet. But he knew Tomura's foolishness needed to be contained. That old bank vault Dad had created for his fake act with his uncle had been perfect.

Kicking the door, Tomura cried, "I'm going to escape here and become a hero!"

Someone this deluded clearly needed to be looked after for his own good. Izuku said, "By the way, I borrowed your All Might collection so I could pretend to be a huge fanboy."

"Noooooo! Not my beloved collection! Give it back, you little monster!" Tomura pounded on the metal door even harder.

Whistling, Izuku walked away.

At school, Izuku held up a burned bag of paper. "Did you do this to my notebooks, Kacchan?" He sniffled as if about to cry.

"Of course I didn't!" Katsuki screamed. "I try to stay as far away from you as possible, you freak! You're framing me again!"

Izuku kept his glee off his face. In reality, he'd burned several blank notebooks himself. It was his favorite hobby to poke and needle Kacchan until the blond boy lashed out, then act like the victim. The entire school thought that Katsuki was bullying Izuku. It was hilarious.

"I don't know why you do this to me, Kacchan." Izuku forced a tear from his eye.

"You little—" Katsuki raised a fist. Two girls walking by pointed and gasped.

This time, Izuku couldn't help his smirk. "You'd better not. You're already close to expulsion after getting into so many fights." The fights Izuku had provoked him into.

Katsuki lowered his fist. His face fell and his eyes filled with weariness. "Why do you keep doing this? Why do you hate me so much?"

Izuku didn't hate Kacchan. He just couldn't resist teasing his childhood friend. That pathetic look on his face was adorable. Izuku giggled. "I don't know what you're talking about, Kacchan. I just want to be friends with you. Let's be friends forever!"

Katsuki's face filled with horror as he understood there would be no escape.

The incident with the sludge villain went exactly as planned. Except for All Might trying to run off afterward, but Izuku latched onto the number one hero's pant leg. He even helped his father's minion escape the bottle.

On the roof, Izuku asked, "Can I still be a hero without a quirk?" He widened his eyes, the picture of adorableness.

"No," All Might said.

"And then he said no." Izuku sighed.

"Oh no, he didn't!" Hisashi gasped.

"It looks like All Might will be a tougher nut to crack then we thought." Izuku tapped the table. "I suppose he wouldn't have lasted this long as number one hero if he gave up his quirk to any random teen who made puppy eyes at him."

Inko placed a plate of cookies on the table. "May I offer a suggestion?" She was extremely supportive of her husband and son's plans to rule Japan and often gave them good advice. "You need to arrange an incident to prove your worthiness to All Might as a successor. You should put someone in danger, then pretend to risk your life to rescue them. Heroes eat that up."

"Great idea, Mom." Izuku grinned wickedly. "I know the perfect person to pick as my victim to rescue."

Izuku's second plan worked perfectly. All Might was deeply impressed with how he'd leapt forward to save Katsuki from the Sludge Villain. Kacchan's face twisted with agony had been so entertaining! Katsuki kept shouting that he knew Izuku had somehow arranged the attack to begin with, but no one believed him.

As so-called training, Izuku was forced to clean the rubble off an entire beach, but fortunately his father lent him a quirk to make it easier while he pretended to groan and strain.

Finally, Izuku stood before All Might, who held out a golden hair. "Eat this!"

Izuku considered asking for something to wash it down, but at this point he just wanted to get it over with. He swallowed the hair.

A ghost with green eyes and white hair materialized in the air. He threw his arms around Izuku (largely going through his body) and sobbed, "Thank you so much! I was about to go insane! I couldn't stand one more moment with those self-righteous, obnoxious heroes!"

Half a dozen other ghosts swirled around All Might. They whispered things like, "I've never seen such evil inside a young child!" and "I'm not going anywhere near that twisted mind!"

"Nana?" All Might blinked, then his mentor was gone.

Izuku frowned. "So I only got one part in seven? Oh, well. I still took the most important part." He laughed. "We'll see if you have enough left of One for All to survive." Then he ran off.

"What—" All Might started to ask. Then a bomb buried under the trash heap went off.

All Might woke up with something heavy lying on top of him.

"Please be all right, All Might! Just hold on a little longer!"

The weight on his body vanished. A young man with scraggly white hair and red eyes stood over him. He'd disintegrated the rubble with a touch of his hand. One handcuff dangled off his wrist. He looked pale and skinny. "Are you injured?" he cried.

All Might sat up. "I escaped mostly unscathed. You saved me, young man. Thank you."

His savior smiled. "My name is Tenko Shimura. I'm the grandson of your predecessor, Nana. And I'm going to help you stop my little brother."

OMAKE TIME!

Omake: Evil First's Shitty Life Advice

Second: It's so amazing how I accidentally ended up with your quirk, babe! And we can even still talk because your consciousness is inside it.

Yoichi: Uh, yeah, amazing is one word for it.

Second: This is going to be so useful in defeating All for One.

Yoichi: Good luck with that. By the way, my brother injured his arm so he's weak to attacks on his left side.

#

Second: Whelp, I died.

Yoichi: I'm so sorry! My brother must have healed his old injury, rendering my information outdated. I feel so guilty and responsible.

Second: No, no, don't blame yourself. I know you're trying very hard to stop your brother. You're the most heroic person I know, my love.

Third: It looks like I'm the next up to fight All for One. Do you have any advice for me?

Yoichi: Fight him in a crowded downtown area! Deep down, my brother isn't such a terrible person. He'd never go all out if civilians might get hurt.

Third: That sounds improbable, but I trust you completely.

#

Third: New dead guy here to join the club.

Yoichi: I guess I underestimated my brother's ruthlessness. I feel so terrible. Someone, comfort me. Then I can help you out, Fourth.

Hikage: Nah, fighting All for One hasn't worked out so well for any of us. I think I'll go hide in a forest.

Yoichi: Ugh, draining your life force so you die of old age will take me forever.

Hikage: Excuse me, what did you say?

Yoichi: Nothing.

#

Banjo: I'm so excited to have this new quirk!

Yoichi: You should use it at maximum strength immediately. That will in no way shape or form cause all four of your limbs to blow off.

Banjo: Argh! The pain!

#

En: Off to fight All for One!

Yoichi: He's super-weak to full frontal charges. No one ever attacks someone as strong as him head-on. It always takes him off-guard.

Second: I'm not sure that's quite what I'd advise. But it's cute how you're always so recklessly heroic, darling.

Yoichi: Fuck off, I got bored with you decades ago.

#

En: I wonder who told All for One where to find my hideout.

Nana: I want to know how he found out about my husband and son! I hid them so carefully!

Yoichi: Don't tie yourself up in knots agonizing over the past. My brother has many sources of information. It's not as if some ghost could have snuck him information every time he gets close enough to us to be within communication range. Because that's impossible.

Nana: Hey, look, Toshinori is about to fight All for One! Let's all watch!

Yoichi: You guys do that. I have something else to do. It's certainly not holding back the power of One for All at a critical moment so that All Might gets maimed. Not that. I'm probably going to wash my hair.

#Evil Yoichi just wants to go home to his doting big brother #Canon Yoichi would lose his mind if he could see this #He'd be screaming "All for One must be using mind-control!"

Omake: The Stream Incident in This AU

Izuku: (Shoves Katsuki off the bridge.) Oh, no, Kacchan, let me help you up.

Katsuki: (Slaps his hand away.) Get away from me!

Izuku: (With eyes of adorableness.) I'm so sorry I hurt your pride by trying to help you. I only want to be friends.

Other children point and whisper disapprovingly.

Katsuki: He pushed me off the bridge! Why does no one ever believe me?

#

Omake: The Other Side of the Mirror

Tenko: I want to be a hero when I grow up!

Kotaro: I support you in this endeavor entirely, my beloved son, because nothing matters more to me than my family's happiness.

Nao: We're all one big happy family!

Hisashi: I'm going to give Nana's grandson Decay so that he accidentally kills his family and becomes a villain. It will be hilarious.

Tenko: Oh, cool, a new quirk! This will be great for rescue work!

Kotaro: I'm so proud of you, son.

Hisashi: Ugh, the saccharine goodness radiating off this family is making me want to vomit. Forget it, there's no way I could stand this do-gooder brat long enough to raise him as a successor. I'm out of here.

Later:

Inko: My brother's family died in a freak gas explosion.

Hisashi: What, seriously? I didn't do anything, I swear!

Inko: Yes, seriously. My nephew was the only survivor, so social services asked if we would take him in.

Tenko: This tragedy has only cemented my resolve to save people so no one else has to suffer like I have.

Hisashi: Yeet him over to foster care, I don't want him.

Inko: Agreed, I hated him from the moment he opened his mouth.

Izuku: I think he's funny. Can I keep him?

Hisashi: Ugh, are you sure you don't want a goldfish or a gerbil?

Izuku: I want a new brother!

Hisashi: Can't…resist…puppy eyes. Fine, I'll go clean out the bank vault.

Author's Note: I feel sorry for Second in this AU; he was used and discarded by evil First. Yoichi was actually sleeping around with both Second and Third in order to deliberately drive a wedge between them. (And because Yoichi wanted to have as much fun as possible while out from under his protective older brother's eye.) It came as a total surprise to Yoichi to realize that Second and Third thought they were in a triad. Without the drama of cheating, he no longer found them interesting. At least Second and Third had each other after Yoichi bailed on them.

Tomura/Tenko becomes All Might's new successor and he and Izuku get the epic battle between brothers that didn't happen with All for One and the First. It'll be fun!

The wonderfully talented sandturnipz (Instragram)/ bigturnipz (Twitter) drew the beautiful Evil First picture serving as cover art for this story. It was commissioned for All the Devils Are Here but it fits this fic quite well too. Actually, it's amazing how many fics I've written that would fit the picture. In addition, I recently wrote a cracky oneshot with DawnHero that's only on Archive of Our Own because this website doesn't allow coauthorship. Summary: As a centuries old supervillain, All for One had ample time to produce a very large family. Izuku is about to discover his dad doesn't understand the difference between an abduction and a family reunion.
