AN: So I was rewatching season 5 and Ressler told Prescott if he came to him again he would kill what if he didn't die by Red what if he never got arrested what if he went for someone Ressler cared about to get to him?

It's been 2 years since Tom died. Maybe she wasn't ready to date yet but it was worth the try right? Maybe she wasn't too sure but here she is talking to a man she met two weeks ago at a bar. He's name was Matt Smith,he was nice, and very understanding of her crazy hours of work and being a single mom with a little girl. Tonight they were going on a date

"Hey Aram, could you and Samar watch Agnes tonight? I have a uhhh date" She asked, there was no case today so everyone was doing paper work but right now everyone was by Arams desk. The look of surprise on everyone face

"You have a date" Samar asked looking at Ressler first then to Liz "Yeah I met him at a bar a couple weeks ago. At a bar we've been talking and I really think it could go somewhere" A smile on her face made the team happy but the hit of jealousy on Resslers it was hard for anyone to miss and if you didn't know them you'd think he was her jealousy ex boyfriend and upset she was moving on with her life. Once he that everyone was looking at him smiled fast and listened "Yeah I mean we have nothing going on tonight we will watch her but you sure you're ready to date?" Aram asking look at Samar then Liz wanting to make sure this guy was good enough for her and Agnes

"Yes Aram I'm sure I'm ready and if I feel he's not the one then I'll say something and walk away" her cheeks red and rubbing the back of her neck and looking back at Ressler and smiling "Well what's he look like keen? Come on I'm sure you have one" Everyone turned to her as she got her phone out and pulled up a picture that would make Ressler stop everything he was doing and soon the color left his face and looked like he saw a ghost "Ressler you okay? You look like you saw a ghost, you know him?" She asked with a look of worry on her face "Uhh no he just looks like an old friend that's all, no worry though he's not my friend" He said laughing but the look of worry didn't leave and everyone saw that.

"Aww Ressler worried Liz was gonna hook-up with your friend?" Asked Samar, laughing probably more than she should be with the look of worry on Resslers face "No Navabi I'm not worried Keen is gonna hook-up with my friend"He said very annoyed and walked away from them into the office. Everyone watched him walk away "Maybe I shouldn't have said anything around hum?"Liz looked worried like if she messed up big time "No your fine Keen, you should get going and get ready me and Aram will be coming in a hour to get Agnes"Samar said to her and looked at Aram for him to agree with her, Aram nodded to with Samar "Okay thanks again really"And with that Liz got her black jacket and left

"Well so much for her and Ressler getting together"Aram joked to Samar. The bet had been ongoing for as long as Samar had been on the team maybe Aram shouldn't had done the bet with her but to be fair Keen and Ressler had a bet on them of how long it would take for them to get together it took much shorter then for Ressler and Keen the bet was still ongoing at one time Cooper and Reddington where in on the bet but when everyone thought something would happen with them it didn't Cooper dropped out of the bet but Red was still in on it checked in with them sometimes but everyone knew Red would know when something happened between the two "Don't give up just yet, the look on Resslers face beens their more to what he was saying we just have to wait for him to say it"Samar said as she walked back to her work area

Ressler sat for a while Prescott is really going for Liz,what does he want with her,should I have said something?No, I'll wait and see where this goes do I call Red? A lot of what if came to Resslers head and by the end he still had no idea what he would do by the time he looked at the clock it was 6PM and everyone left for the night and by now Liz was on the date it was too late…..

6 Weeks Later

The date went better then Liz thought it would be. It was all great but even in the lighter of what others see theirs a darkside… what happened behind close doors when Agnes was asleep and Liz was home how Red didn't know or see what was happening was beyond her or anyone who knew Liz saw the change in her behavior or how sometimes she had a hand mark on her face when asked she said it was nothing but Ressler wouldn't believe her. She talked to everyone outside of work but Ressler she didn't even really talk to him when at work it was always about work never anything other than work. That's when he started to think it had to do with Prescott but now he didn't know what to do.

He can't go to Cooper because that means he needs to tell him how he knows Prescott and not wanting to go to Red. This was his mess he could handle Prscott but if it got mad he would go to Red. He never wanted to become like Tom or Red but he can't just let her get hurt because of him so this one time he will become like them for her and for Agnes. "Hey Keen,Matt at work?" He asked watching out of the office to where she was by Aram "Yeah, he works till 7PM why?"Looking away from Aram and looked up at him and smiled at him he looked sweet but she shouldn't be talking to him he finds out she'll be in trouble "Oh just wondering that's all" He smiled and walked away from them back to their office then down to where he could get a hidden camera for her apartment he knew he lived with her from hearing her and Aram talking one day. Once he had the camera he was off to her apartment.

Some may say it was luck but everyone knew they were close so when he asked to be let in her apartment they let him no questions asked and when asked not to tell her they listened. Walked in and saw Liz had something of a bear sitting on a shelf. He put the hidden camera in. And with that he looked around to see anything that didn't look right of course not there wouldn't be anything so he left.

It was 7PM everyone was home but here was Donald Ressler sitting at home on his laptop watching the camera the woman he loved kissing another man that wasn't him god what he would give to be that man right now but right now that's not the point. He sat for almost one hour. Agnes was asleep now and it was just Liz and Matt but what was gonna happen Ressler wanted blood…

They were sitting then Liz started to talk "So I talked with Res.." She looked worried and maybe scared but whatever Ressler hated it "WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT TALKING TO RESSLER GODDAMNIT I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK TO A MAN THAT LIKES YOU!" And Matt was up going at her and they started to fight and it got heated fast. He knew Liz could handle her own crying out loud. She didn't know about the camera but he needed to get there but Agnes was there too.

He got their has fast as he could when outside her door, he hears Agnes crying but no sound coming inside till "AGNES STOP FUCKING CRYING BEFORE THE CO-"Before he could get what he was saying out Ressler kicked down the door and shot him two times and went to check on Liz she was coming to she was on the floor he knocked her out but she seems okay but he got his phone out "Reddington it's Ressler. It's about Liz. The guy she was seeing it was Prescott. Hes died but Liz she was knocked out,Agnes shes in her room I was about to go check her out" Ressler said as he started to move to get to Agnes room "I'm 10 minutes out make sure Lizz is okay and make sure Agnes don't see the body hang on Donald 10"And with that Red hang up the phone and Ressler made his way to Agnes

"Hey sweet it's okay come here"Ressler said as soft as he could walking in the room and getting here in his arms, holding her trying to get her to calm her down the best he could. After a minute she said "Mommy said to never leave my room when they fight. It happens a lot.. But not like this… it mommy okay" She moved back and looked up at him the scared look broke her heart "Hey baby it's all okay he's gonna you can't go out their how about I go get mommy' He looked down and she smiled and nodded to him then laid down on the bed

He walked out the room and he saw Liz looked at Prescott then over to Ressler "I knew something was up when you stopped talking to me at work.I know the man it's a long story I never thought he'd come for you or do this it's a long story but I'll tell you everything" He said walking to her slowly she went into his arms "I know I could tell it was something when I saw your face that day at work,not now but one day you tell me okay"She moved back and looked at him, he nodded to her but what she did she didn't think she would do but she did. She slowly moved up and kissed him better than she thought it would be and even better than he thought but it was way too soon he pulled back and she looked worried and he hated it "Not now it's to soon but soon after this we pick up where we left off and Agnes is waiting for you"He said walking with Liz to Agnes room he let them be Liz nodded to him

45 minute later

Red and his people came and took the body they never talked to Liz,she was asleep he told Ressler he and Liz had the day off. "Hey wake up come on"He said softly and she woke up he helped her walk to her room made sure she was okay, told her they had the day off and Red took care of it and as he went to walk away "Stay please I don't want to be alone not tonight not ever after this"She looked to him but even in the dark he could see the pain on her, he slowly walked over took off his shoes and jacket and slowly got under the covers next to her "It's all over now shhh I'm here it's all gonna be okay"He told her softly taking her into his arms and kissed her head

"I know it's all so much I would have said something but he threatened me..Agnes.. you"She said the started to sob he held her closer to him and rubbed her hair "I know I know but it's all over now I got you this will never happen not on my watch. Now go to bed I'll be here when you wake" She started to drift off to bed if you asked them they both say it was the best sleep in years but that night was the started for something great for them but it won't leave his mind

AN: wow this is probably the longest one I have made and I see I write storys like if someone was almost telling you it lol seems to be my thing I hope you liked it :)
