Hey everyone. I decided to repost this story and finish it. Let me know what you think.

"Goodnight Tommy!"

"Goodnight Eliza! I must say your girls are excellent!" said the middle aged man as he put on his coat. The red haired old woman walked towards him slowly.

"Why yes they are really something aren't they?" she spoke playfully as she smoked her cigarette "Which one did you like darling we can arrange for something next week" she said placing her hand on the small of his back.

"The one with the brown hair" he said nodding towards a closed door as he put on his hat.

"Ahh… Raven. I'll make sure she is available the next time you're around!" she said as the man opened the door of the house. His brown coat seemed almost black under the red light as he lowered his head to hide his face.

"Come on now time is up!" she said as she banged her fist on the closed door. Finally it opened slowly as a young man came out with tousled black hair. He smiled quickly before opening the door and getting out. The young girl came out behind him with crossed arms wearing her black satin robe. She took the money out of her pocket and counted them giving half of it to Eliza.

"Raven, Mr. Tom wants to see you next week" Eliza stated as the girl walked back to her room.

"Make it happen then" she simply said before closing the door. She sighed and removed her robe and headed for the bathroom. She took a quick shower and dried herself up before heading back to the room. She put on a fresh pair of matching underwear and put on her black robe again. She went to the mirror and fixed her long brown hair and reapplied the red lipstick. She took a deep breath and opened her agenda. Seeing that her next appointment was in an hour, she got up and opened the door for the small kitchen of her apartment like room.

A coffee was mostly needed.

She closed the door behind her and prepared herself the hot beverage. When it was ready she sat at the table and lit up her cigarette. She closed her eyes and relaxed her muscles, sighing to herself heavily.

The Joker drove manically down the street laughing hysterically as the police car chased him.

"Boss we're not gonna lose them we have to go down to the boys" said one of his men next to him.

Ahhh the boys he thought to himself and licked his lips. He had ordered five of his men to stay put in a small alley in the Narrows just in case they needed a place to lay low. After all, escaping from Arkham was not easy work and making sure he had a way out was of utmost importance. He had so many ideas in his head of how to play with the people of Gotham and he was not going to let anyone get in the way of that again.

He took a sharp left and the tires of the van screeched on the road as he drove down the bridge hastily. The sirens were still following him as he submerged into the dark roads of the Narrows. Reaching his destination, the van came to a sudden halt.

"Shit" the man next to him exhaled. The scenery revealed three dead bodies on the street and two men getting into a police vehicle with handcuffs.

"They knew we were coming! Someone must have tipped them off!" said the man beside him. The Joker rolled his eyes with annoyance.

"Thank you for stating the obvious again Larry" he said before stepping on the pedal.

"What the fuuuck!" screamed Larry and gripped the seat of the car as the Joker drove with full force on the parked police car.

He hit the side of the car, causing it to roll one of the police officers to the ground and the vehicle whirled around a few times before crashing on the wall with force.

Then there was quiet.

The Joker opened his eyes and blinked at the sudden impact of the airbags. He looked up at the destroyed police car and the crushed back seats.

"Well there goes the fun part!" he laughed manically and turned to the man next to him.

"Oh what an idiot" he said as he saw the broken glass of the windshield. He opened the door and got out, standing over the corpse that had flew out of the car a few feet.

"This is why you always wear a seatbelt Larry" he said shaking his head.

Suddenly, he turned his attention to the main road as he heard more sirens almost calling his name.

"Well! Time to go!" he smiled down at the dead man before sprinting away from the scene.

He moved quickly through the dark alleys of the Narrows, looking over his shoulder as he walked. There was nobody out this late at night and no one would dare in such neighborhood. He reached a main road when he finally stopped for a second.

Under a flashing neon sign that read "Singing beauties", there was a pack of people outside laughing and smoking. The bar seemed almost full and he was surprised that a place like that was open and working still in the Narrows. He walked towards the alley to the side of the bar and then disappeared in it hastily. He could hear live singing and cheering inside as he walked to the other side of the road.

"Have you found him?" he heard a muffled voice from a walkie talkie. He stopped dead on his tracks as he saw the silhouette of a police officer on the other end of the alley. He had not yet seen him but he had to move fast.

He opened the only door he could find and, to his surprise, it was unlocked. He got in and closed it behind him before smiling to himself.

Still got it. He thought to himself as luck seemed to always be on his side. He stayed there quiet, waiting for any signs that someone was coming after him. When his adrenaline dropped, he finally looked around the room he was currently in.

His eyes froze on the figure in front of him, finally noticing for the first time that there was another human in the room.

The girl was looking up at him frozen with a cigarette between her fingers. She was sitting casually at the table and was just, staring at him with piercing dark brown eyes.

Finally, he gave her one of his wildest grins "Well hello there" he said.

She was wearing a black satin short robe and her milky legs were crossed underneath the table. Her brown hair fell loose around her slim figure and her arched eyebrows were raised slightly in disbelief.

Finally she lowered her eyes and flicked her cigarette into an ashtray in front of her. She let out the smoky breath she was holding through her scarlet lips and frowned.

"You shouldn't be in here" she said calmly before looking up at him again. She took a puff and crossed her legs the other way uncomfortably.

The Joker observed her closely as her long lashes almost brushed her high cheekbones.

Almost naked, extremely beautiful, smoking alone in a small kitchen with an unlocked door behind a bar in the Narrows.

A hooker.

That would explain the sea of men outside the bar which was obviously used as a front for a brothel.

He licked his lips and walked towards her slowly. She didn't move.

"And you shouldn't leave your door unlocked. This is a very dangerous neighborhood" he grinned dangerously. She stared at him as he took out one of his knives from his purple coat.

"Occupational hazard. And still, people usually have the courtesy to knock. Even in this neighborhood" she said sharply. She seemed genuinely upset about the fact that he hadn't knocked. Which only confused him.

"Do you…know who I am?" he said curiously.

She stared at him for a moment. "I know who you are" she simply said.

"Mmm…" he simply said "Well. Then you're just stupid" he said, crooking his head to the side.

"Stupid why?" she frowned.

"Because it means you uh, purposely talk to me like you want to die" he said.

She looked up at him for a moment in understanding.

"I'm sorry I guess you're right" she simply said.

Raven put out her cigarette and when she looked up at him, his eyebrows were in his hair. She didn't want to ask the painted man anything else about the matter. She knew who he was and antagonizing him was only pushing her luck.

"So I am assuming you're getting chased?" she stated as she got up to wash her cup.

"Mm" he said and she heard him moving around the dim room behind her. "Ding ding!" he finally answered.

Raven wiped her hands and moved towards the wall. She could feel his dark orbs following her and she had to remind herself with every step that he was holding a knife.

She crouched down and pulled on the metal small door with force, opening it. The passage way was small and even herself would have to duck her head enough to be able to fit. It would be more difficult for him as he was much taller but it was getting him out safely onto the street.

"Go ahead" she simply said showing him the way.

Looking back at him, he was still looking at her with raised eyebrows and amusement now in his eyes. He gave her a snicker and moved towards the small passage. He narrowed his eyes for a moment but a cruel smile was still lingering on his scarred lips.

He lifted his blade in front of her face and with one swift movement closed it. It was his way of saying that her reward was keeping her life she assumed.

And then, without a word, he was gone.
