After 3 eventful years Harry spent in Hogwarts, he thought maybe this year would be a quiet year for him. He didn't know how wrong he could be. Again this year, not surprisingly, someone wanted him dead by entering his name in the goblet and actually succeeded to make him into the fourth champions. What made it worse because his two friends, scratched that, his TWO BEST FRIENDS avoided him instead of supporting him that made Harry disappointed in them. He knew that sleep would never come to him that night, therefore he checked his roommates and make sure all of them asleep. Silently, he put on his invisibility cloak and got his marauder's map and walked out of his dorm. After he ensured there's no one in Gryffindor common room, he walked across the room and finally made his way out from the Fat Lady portrait.
Since he didn't really have a certain place to go in his mind, Harry just let his feet bring him to the seventh floor. He reached out to the open big window near the end of the hall and just looked blankly into the dark sky as he recalled the 3 years he spent his life in Hogwarts. 'After all that happened in the past, how can they didn't believe me that I just want a quiet life this year' he internally groaned. 'Is it too much to ask for someone who will believe in me, help me, and understand me in whatever I do?' he thought helplessly. Minutes passed and Harry thought he should go back to his common room before he met Filch or miss Norris. His eyes widened the moment he layed his eyes on a strange big door that he knew was not there before. Reluctantly, he reached the door and entered the strange room.
===from another side of the universe===
It just another boring day for Alana. With pandemy and summer break going around, there's nothing much for her to do except eat, sleep, and watched films. She currently marathon watching the Harry Potter's series for the second time in her break. She just got back from the kitchen after making herself some popcorn to accompany her during her marathon. After positioned herself comfortably in her couch, she clicked the play button for the 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' in her laptop. Suddenly, there's a blinding light that came out of her laptop screen that made her squint her eyes and she got sucked into another universe. She fell down with a thud on a hard floor, still closing her eyes. The moment she got them to open, all she can see is a large room? Or hall should she say, that seems outdated.
"Wait, why do I feel familiar with this room?" she whispered under her breath. Carefully, she stood back and start explored the room. "Have I seen this before?" she asked herself. Her little exploring is cut short by the creaking of the door and sound of footsteps that not her's. Alana couldn't help herself but stared at the door direction as she thought there would be another new occupant in this room but found nothing. "Am I hearing things now!?" she said a little too loud for the invisible occupant to hear.
"Who are you?" asked the voice from the door direction that made her jump a little. "Oh my god! I'm really hearing things!" she exclaimed, horror filled her face. Suddenly, a person materialized out from thin air not far from her. The moon light that illuminated the room made the new occupant's green orbs sparkling and she finally could look at his face clearly. She knew that face! No, Everyone knew that face. She gasped and put her hand in her mouth to stop her from screaming. "Daniel!? What are you doing here?", this made Harry frown. 'Who is Daniel?' he thought.
"I am not Daniel, I am Harry. You didn't answer my question, who are you?". This time, it's Alana's turn to frown, what did he mean? Of couse she knew He had a character named Harry but she one hundred percents sure that his original name is Daniel Radcliffe.
"Of course I know you're Harry, I mean everyone know about you being the actor of Harry Potter's character Daniel. Ah, and my name is Alana by the way". Her reply confused him even more, actor of Harry Potter's character?. "What do you mean by Harry Potter's character? I told you I am Harry Potter! Not Daniel the actor, who ever he is" He exclaimed. "So you mean we are in wizarding world right now? Is that so? Then when I say Wingardium Leviosa, I can float-" her sarcasm words got cut when she saw an iron armor floated across, the one that she pointed out with her right hand. "Oh shit!" she whispered under her breath and then looked at Harry, jaw dropped. "You're Harry Potter!" she said, finally believing the boy's words.
"I already told you I am" he replied back as he stared at the armor that still floating in the room. "Do you want me to stop it from floating or not?" he asked and she replied him with shaking her head. "No, let me! Finite incantatem!" she beamed when the armor that floated not that far from the floor and finally settled down on the ground after she yelled the spell, her smile widened after her little success.
"Wait! if you are Harry Potter, then this room must be the Room of Requirement!" yelled her excitedly. "Room of requirement?" confusion look filled Harry's face, Alana frowned "You don't know about this room? Wait! What year are you now?" she asked. "It's my fourth year" he replied raising his eyebrows, "So that's why! You should discover this room in your fifth year" she exclaimed not knowing the consequences of her words. "And how do you know that?" his question made her speechless.
Alana tried to find a good answer for that, should she be honest with him about being a literal alien since she comes from another universe?. "Hm…, how should I say this? Well it's kind of complicated you know. Do you believe in alternate universe?", "What it had to do with you knowing things?" he snapped exasperately. This strange girl seemed to avoid his question. "No! no! it had anything to do with all of this. Well, I am not from here but rather from another universe. You should know me or at least see me once if I am a Hogwart's student, I mean we are on the same years after all".
"Do you think I am a fool to believe something like that? Sorry to say, but I am not!" yelled Harry angrily that made Alana frown. "You must had a rough night. Well, I know it sounds stupid! But that's the only theory I have right now. I mean I was just in my room a few minutes ago and suddenly I popped out here!" she huffed. "Alright then let's just say what you said is true, then how come you can go here? In Hogwarts?" he asked, still not believing in her words. Alana stopped for a second, thinking. Her eyes lit up when she finally had some logical reasons. "This is the room of requirement, whatever you think you need back then actually summon me to your world. That's how this room works! Just think about what you need 3 times in your head an tada! The room will provide it" she exclaimed excitedly and then she thought about needing a couch, and seconds after that an actual couch materialized from a thin air. She sat on it happily and made a room for Harry to sit, he hesitantly sat on the edge of the couch.
"But I didn't know this room could summon a person, and a person from another universe at that! What did you think you need back then? I certainly sure you didn't know my name" her question made him chokes on air, how should he replied her?. "I ju-just think I need someone who can helps me with the tasks!" he muttered under his breath. "Ah right! The Triwizard tournament! But Hermione and Ron can help you with that you know", "They avoiding me" he replied fast, Alana just raised her eyebrows. "Is this the night where they announce the champions?" she guessed that he replied with a nod. "How do you know though? Hey! You haven't answer my question about how are you knowing things!".
"Oh right, I'm sorry. Well, what should I say? Hmm, I kind of have a foreknowledges? You know, a little about the near futures? Maybe that's because I came from another universe" she replied hesitantly. "But I don't have any knowledge about your universe!" he exclaimed back. "I came from the future of my alternate universe Harry, let's just say I have your life records in the past that made me know you? oh well, it's not just me by the way! Your life records is quite popular in my universe. You didn't know about mine because obviously it's because I came from the future. You can't keep records of the future Harry" she explained, hoping Harry will be satisfied with her answer.
"You know about my futures?" he asked, surprised. "Hm, maybe a little. But I can't be so sure though. Future is a delicate thing Harry. You being here with me right now will actually change them, even it's a little change, but a changes nevertheless. That's why I can't tell you about it because it will not happen If I do tell you", He nodded at her explanation. "Can you at least tell me that I have a happy ending or not?" he asked her, hope glinting in his emerald eyes. She seemed hesitant a bit, but answered him nonetheless "Well yes, you'll be happy in the end. But your path before the ending is rough Harry, I have to remind you that life is sometimes unfair, or should I say always unfair? You'll face much more pain in the future before you get your happy ending. You know, sometimes I think life give you too much weight to bear on your shoulders alone". He's touched by her words, no one really understands about his hardships in the past.
"Can you change it then? Can you please change it so I maybe I'll feel less pain in the future?" he begged her that made her stared back at him. "I don't know Harry, I mean I don't even know if this will be our last meeting or not. I am sorry" she said sadly. "I can always summon you again, can you please help me?" he asked, begging. "Do you know what I wish back then that summoned you here? I wish that I have someone that can believe me, help me and understand me. And then this room summoned you" his explanation made her speechless. "Do you even believe me If I say I'm not the one who enter my name in the goblet?" he whispered quietly.
"I do, I do believe you Harry. I know how you hate you're the Boy-Who-Lived popularity much, I know you're not someone who want to be recognized, attention seeker, whatever they say back then I know it's not who you are Harry" she replied and gave him a reassuring pat on his shoulder that made him relaxed a bit. "Can you help me then? They said someone dies in this competition, I don't want to die yet Alana! I'm scared!" he whimpered desperately that made Alana moves closer to him and engulfs him in her arms, hugging him.
"I'll help you with what I can Harry, I promise. Don't worry, we'll go through this together" assured her as she started humming a slow muggle song to calm Harry. He hesitantly returned her hugs, and both of them just silently sat there, accompanied by Alana occasional humming.
"You know, I think you should go back to your common room now Harry. It's late already, I don't want you to get caught by Filch or miss Norris" Alana said breaking their silence. Harry just grumbled some words that Alana couldn't hear, he released his arm from her delicate form and stared at his wristwatch the huffed. "Well, see you tomorrow then?" he asked as he stood from the couch and stared at Alana who nodded her head, "See you tomorrow, Harry" she smiled, looking back at him. He walked to the door and Alana followed him behind. As he reached the knob, he spared a glance at her that she replied with a smile. He then put on his cloak and then walked out the room. The moment he walked out of the door and turned back and stared into it, the door already vanished. 'It's okay, you can see her tomorrow' assured him to himself. After some minute staring at the stone wall, he finally went back to his dorms to sleep.
