Skylar: Hola chicos y chicas! I'm back and I have my OC Kate's Origin Story! Hope you all enjoy this! Also, just so you guys know, only Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, and Splinter make the appearance in this story. Amy, Lily, Ann, April, and Casey don't make an appearance (By the way, Amy, Ann, and Lily belong to Angelxoxo8) Also TMNT doesn't belong to me. Only my OC's belong to me. Enjoy!

Kate was grateful to have her 4 older brothers in her life. There was Leo, her oldest brother, and her best friend. She trained with him and watched Space Heroes with him. There was also Raph, her second favorite older brother. He and Kate practiced punches together and enjoyed having little competition against each other. Then there's Donnie. She helped him with his experiments and his gadgets, and in exchange, he taught her how to pick locks and hack systems. And finally, there's Mikey who… well, let's just put it that he brightens her days when she's sad at times, and helps her in the kitchen.

Sure, they drive her crazy sometimes but hey, that's what older brothers do. But she never forgot how she met them. The thing was… they didn't know her backstory, including Splinter. He just found Kate as a mutant and took her in as his own daughter. Kate thought that it was better for her family not to find out about her past… but she was wrong.

One night, the turtle siblings were heading back to the lair after a night of patrolling over the city, along with fighting the Kraang. But this didn't go well. You see, whenever Kate sees the Kraang, she freezes and basically cowers while her brothers fight them. They all wondered why Kate hides from the Kraang every time they find them or when the Kraang find them. It has been happening every time ever since they met the Kraang. They were getting fed up with her fear and decided to ask her right when they got back home.

They entered the lair and Kate yawned, ready to have a peaceful sleep before training the next day. "Hey Kate." Leo says and puts a hand on Kate's shoulder to stop her. Kate turns around to face Leo. "Yeah?" She asks.

"Listen we've been noticing how you um…" Leo hesitates not wanting to offend his younger and only sister. He knew she was brave like him, but whenever someone says she's a "wimp" she'll go in rage mode.

"Well, you seem to…" Raph stopped because even though Raph does have a temper, he was scared to death from Kate's fury. There was one time when he said something stupid to her and she flipped him over, hard, which resulted him being on bed rest for two days.

Kate raised an eyebrow. "Alright guys, come on. What do you all want to say?" She asks.

Mikey said quickly, "WhyareyouscaredoftheKraang?" He then winced prepared for his sister's anger and her hits.

Kate's eyes widen with fear, then said nervously, "Uh… Well… Um… I'll… I'll tell you guys another time." She walked off heading to her room.

The guys looked at her wide eyed, surprised that she didn't get angry, but instead looked like she saw a ghost. They stared at the direction where Kate went and Donnie said, "Guys, did you see her reaction? She looked like she saw the scariest thing in her life."

"Yeah… And Kate would usually beat us to the ground." Raph said cautiously.

"I think we should tell Master Splinter. He might know what's going on." Leo said. They all nodded and headed to the dojo. Splinter was waiting for his sons, and when he saw the door open, he stood up and he said, "My sons. I see you are…" He stopped noticing their facial expressions. "Is there something wrong?" He asked.

They all sat on the floor, on their knees, before Splinter. "Yes sensei. It's Kate." Leo said.

"What about Katherine?" He asked.

"Sensei, Kate gets scared whenever we face the Kraang." Raph started. He knew his younger, and sometimes hotheaded, sister was brave and fights with passion against her enemies, to protect the innocent. But seeing her being scared… it worried everyone. "It wasn't like her usual self." He said.

"Yeah. When we were fighting the Kraang and when we first met the Kraang, Kate gets scared and hides." Donnie says, looking worried. "We asked her why she was scared but she didn't tell us."

"So, we wanted to ask you Sensei." Mikey finished.

Splinter stood still, realizing he never asked Kate what happened to her when he found her in the sewers. "My sons… I'm afraid I do not have the answer to that question." He responded slowly.

They stayed silent wondering what to do. Splinter sighed. "My sons, I believe it's best that we ask that another time. For now, get to bed. You have training in the morning." He said.

"Hai, sensei." They responded in union and bowed before leaving the dojo to their rooms. But on their way, they looked at Kate's room. They glanced at each other and knew they were going to get their answer tomorrow.

Kate woke up early in the morning and went to the dojo to practice her katas before the session started. She kicked and punched, perfecting her movements. She heard the door slide open and sees her brothers coming in. She stopped and stood next to Mikey, waiting for their sensei.

Splinter slid his door open that led to his room and walked in the dojo. "My children, we are going to practice your attacks and your defense. Michelangelo will spar against Donatello and Katherine will spar against Raphael. Whoever wins against their opponent will face each other, then that winner will face Leonardo."

Kate was paired up against Raph, and she had a plan. "Come on Raph." She said while smirking. "Show me what you got." She motions her hand for him to start.

Raph smirked back. "Gladly, sis." He jumped up and Kate was about to punch him in midair when suddenly a flash of an image showed a Kraang reaching to grab her. Kate's eyes widen with fear, and she screamed, "AAHH!" She avoided Raph and backed up from him. Everyone froze and looked at her.

"Kate?" Raph said worriedly. "Why'd ya scream?"

Kate started to hyperventilate. "Kate, look calm down." Donnie said while trying to calm her down. Kate sees another image of five Kraangs with needles and medical tools. "S-Stay back! Leave me alone!" Kate yelled, then backed up only to hit the wall. She slid down hugging her knees. Everyone's eyes widened, worried, and scared for Kate.

"Katherine!" Splinter called out, then ran to comfort her. "Katherine, my daughter, calm down." He pulled Kate into a hug, soothing her. Kate shut her eyes, then opened them again to see her brothers and father.

"T-The Kraang…" She whispered in fear.

They couldn't wait anymore. They ran and hugged Kate in comfort. She accepted the hugs and they stayed there for a few moments. They pulled away and saw Kate less worried.

"My daughter," Splinter said gently, "We are worried. Why are you afraid of the Kraang?"

Kate drew in a breath. "Okay. I need to tell you all the truth." She pauses and looks at Splinter. "But… aren't we going to finish training, Sensei?"

Splinter said, "No, Katherine. This is more important. We will have training another time."

Kate smiled a little, then sat on her knees. "Well, then I'll tell you."

Everyone sat at their knees, leaning with curiosity.

Kate said "It started about 8 years ago, 3 days before Sensei found me…"

A 7-year-old girl was walking with a man and a woman. She had dark brown hair that was pulled up into two braided pigtails, had light coffee skin, with a dark brown birthmark that was a circle on her left side of her face. She wore a pink and white striped shirt with a heart on the front of the shirt with blue jeans and pink shoes. The man on one side of the little girl resembled so much like the girl, except he had black hair, and tanned skin, with a blue t-shirt and black jeans. The woman had blond/auburn hair with blue eyes, pale skin, and freckles on her face with a sweater and black pants. They were smiling together.

"Wait, you were HUMAN?!" Everyone, but Splinter, exclaimed out of shock. They were shocked that Kate was a human.

"Yeah, but you're not giving me a chance to explain!" Kate pointed out.

"Sorry." They quickly said, then waited for Kate to continue her story.

"Carlita, honey, did you have a fun day?" The woman asked.

"Si, Mami! It was the best!" Carlita answered excitedly.

"Well, let's head home, chiqita!" The man said with a Hispanic accent.

Carlita giggled. "Si, Papi!"

They continued walking, when suddenly the Kraang pop out of nowhere.

"Kraang has found the one that is known as girl. Kraang needs the one that is known as girl for the Kraang experiment," One Kraang said.

The man and the woman's eyes widen in fear. "Carlita, you need to run." Mami ordered.

Carlita said "But Mami—"

"GO! NOW!" Papi shouted. Carlita listened and ran. But the Kraang block her way, and one Kraang grabs her. She screamed, "Mami! Papi!" The Kraang take her away and put her in a van. They drove, while Carlita cried in fear.

"And that was the last time I saw my Mami and Papi." Kate explained, with tears in her eyes. The boys looked at her with pity.

"Do you need a minute sis?" Mikey asked.

"Y-Yeah." Kate said, then wiped the tears away. "Sorry… I just miss them."

"It's okay Kate. Take your time." Donnie assured.

The Kraang drove to an Urban Kraang warehouse. They take Carlita inside the warehouse and strap her to an operating table. She continued to weep, and five Kraang surround her, holding needles and medical tools. She started to cry again while one Kraang injects a needle in her. She then sees darkness.

When she woke up, she saw that she was in a small room, with a bed. She looked around and saw a newt along with a turtle. "U-Um, hi…" Carlita said, then walked toward the two reptiles. "My name is Carlita." She reaches out a hand and says, "Do you two need a name?"

Suddenly, the newt and the turtle bit her hand at the same time. She yelled in agony and then cried. "Mami, Papi, where are you?" She called out. The door opens and a Kraang comes in. Carlita looks at it with fear in her eyes.

"The one that is called girl is to follow the Kraang." The mysterious man said.

Carlita silently followed the man. She was in another room, where the same weird looking men were, and they put her in a capsule. She whimpered.

"Kraang will now commence the experiment, with the mutagen." A Kraang said. A huge amount of mutagen falls on top of Carlita and she screamed in pain. Her clothes disintegrate from the mutagen. But then the pain subsides.

"Kraang's experiment has been what is known as a success." The Kraang said over an intercom. When the Kraang reached for her, she panicked and ran. She ran blindly, while unknowingly able to avoid the Kraang.

Soon Carlita was in the quiet streets of New York City. Although she didn't take note of her appearance, she went to two people. "Excuse me, can you help me?" Carlita asked. They turned to see a talking turtle with hair and a tail. They screamed and ran away.

"W-Wait!" Carlita cried out. They continued to scream and run. She chased them but they soon were gone. Carlita stopped and started to cry again wondering why they ran. She soon got her answer. At a window display, she saw her reflection.

Her light toffee skin was forest green, and she had lime spots on her knees, arms, and forehead. She had a shell that covered her body, and her head wasn't a heart shaped face, but round. Her 5 fingered hands were tuned into 3 and her toes had 3 toes as well. But her hair was still there, her birthmark was in the same place and her eyes haven't changed. As well as a small necklace that was around her neck.

Carlita realized why the two people ran away. She was a monster. A freak. Carlita started to cry again, not knowing if she will see her parents again, when suddenly she heard, "Kraang has found the subject x-023. Kraang must have the experiment contaminated." Carlita gasped and started to run again.

She ended up in an alley and couldn't find an exit. She looked around and found a manhole lid. Carlita heard heavy metal footsteps and she didn't have second thoughts. She slowly lifted the manhole cover and climbed down. She ran and ran getting lost in the sewers.

Carlita looked around only seeing darkness. She curled up into a ball and hugged her knees. She cried for minutes until she fell asleep.

Carlita didn't know how long she slept, but she felt a pair of hands pick her up and carry her. She opened her eyes slightly, and a blurry figure was next to her. But sleep overtook her, and she rested again.

Carlita opened her eyes and saw she was on a couch. She sat up and saw there was a tv and… was that a tire swing?

"Are you okay?" A voice asked.

Carlita turned around to see a turtle around her age, maybe about two months older, it had forest green skin, just like her except he doesn't have lime green spots on his body and no tail. He had a blue bandana and sapphire eyes. She was surprised to see a talking turtle. "Y-Yeah." She responded. The turtle slowly sat down on the same couch Carlita was on. "What's your name?" He asked.

Carlita was going to say her name, but she didn't. She didn't know why but she said, "Katherine. My name's Katherine, but I like to be called Kate."

"Kate. That's a nice name." The turtle smiled. "I'm Leo."

Kate smiled. Then suddenly she sees three other turtles with different colored bandanas and different shades of green. One turtle had dark green skin, emerald, green eyes, with a red bandana and a little lightning bolt crack on his plastron on the left shoulder. Another turtle had olive green skin, with reddish brown eyes, and had a purple bandana. The last turtle had light green skin, an orange bandana, freckles on his cheeks and baby blue eyes. "Who are those guys?" She asked.

Leo turned to see the other turtles. "Oh, those are my brothers." He points to each turtle while saying, "The one in red is Raph," Raph grunts and nods his head. "The one in the purple is Donnie," Donnie waves at her with a smile, showing his gapped tooth. "And the one in the orange is Mikey." Mikey runs up to Kate and says happily, "Hi!" Kate smiled a little but thought why they weren't scared of her.

"A-Aren't you guys scared of me?" She asked.

"Scared?" Leo said, looking at Kate with a confused face.

"Why would we be scared?" Mikey asked. "You look like a turtle like us!

"There's no reason to be scared." Raph said. Kate turned to him and smiled a little.

Donnie walked up to her and looked at her, his eyes observing her intently. He realized that Kate had a tail. "No, she's not a turtle!" He pointed out. "She has a tail! A LONG longer!"

Kate froze, looked at her tail and started to cry. She jumped off the couch and saw the exit. She started to run toward the exit. "Wait!" Leo said, then started to run.

"L-Leave me alone! I'm a freak!" Kate said, and continued running, when suddenly she feels something wrap around her into a hug. She looks to see Raph hugging her.

"You aren't a freak." Raph said. "Spike also doesn't think you're a freak."

Kate cried in his arms, and he continued to sooth her. Soon, Leo, Mikey, and Donnie hugged as well. She soon stopped and breathed deeply. For some reason she felt safe in their arms

Suddenly a tall rat walked in. Kate saw that the rat had brown and white fur along with a white beard that reached to his chest. He wore a maroon robe and was walking with a jade cane. "My sons, I see you have met our little guest." The rat said.

Kate opened her eyes and saw him in surprise. "You're tall!" She said with surprise in her voice. The rat chuckled. "Yes, I seem to be tall."

Kate slowly walked to him and said, "Thank you Mr. …" She paused realizing she doesn't know the rat's name. "My name is Splinter." He said.

Kate smiled. "Thanks Mr. Splinter." She turns and starts to leave.

"Child, wait!" Splinter calls out. Kate turns to face him. "Where are you going?" He asked.

"I have to leave. No one wants me." She explained sadly then prepared to leave again. Splinter looked at her with sadness. She remined him of his lost daughter Miwa. Having a daughter may be the closest thing to remembering Miwa.

"My daughter." Kate turned around, surprised that the rat called her his daughter.

"You are welcome to be with us." He said with a gentle smile. Kate slowly smiled and ran to him, jumping in his arms and hugging him. "Thank you, Papi!" She exclaimed happily.

Splinter hugged her and had tears of joy. Her calling him Papi warmed his heart. The turtles looked at them and Mikey exclaimed happily, "So we get to have a sister?!"

"Yes, Michelangelo. You have a little sister now." He chuckled.

"Awesome! So, I'm not the youngest anymore!" Mikey said happily then hugged Kate. Kate giggled and returned the hug. The guys cheered, except Raph. He had a smirk, but inside he was happy to have a little sister.

"So, who's the oldest?" Kate asked, wanting to get to know her new older brothers. "I'm the oldest." Leo proudly said. Raph said, "I'm the second oldest." Donnie said, "I'm the third oldest." Mikey pointed to himself with his thumb and said, "I'm the youngest. But now I'm the second youngest, sis!"

Kate smiled, happy to find love and a family that cared for her. She hugged all of them. "I can't wait to live with you guys!" They all smiled and hugged her too. Splinter smiled and joined the small group hug, happy that there's one more addition to the mutant family.

"And that's how I met you guys." Kate finished with a small sad smile.

"Wow, sis I didn't know that you were human!" Mikey said with awe. He suddenly realized a thought and said, "Wait, do you have a necklace or something? Because when we met you, you had something around your neck."

Kate nodded. "I do." She pulls a necklace out of her cloak and shows it. The necklace was heart shaped and on one side it said, Honey Bunny.

She puts the necklace under her cloak again. "But I missed my parents and that's why I freeze up when the Kraang see us or when we see them." Kate explained, with a sad look. She lowered her head and stared at the floor. "If you want me to be off the team, I'm okay with it."

The guys looked at her with wide eyes. "No!" They exclaimed.

"Kate, listen, we will help you overcome your fear!" Donnie said.

"That's right! No one scares our little sister!" Raph said while cracking his knuckles.

"We'll make sure your parents are honored when you overcome your fear, Kate." Leo said with a serious yet caring look.

Kate stayed silent while looking at the floor. She then looked up with a determined look. "Let's do it." She said.

The Next Night

The turtle siblings were tailing a van that had the Kraang with a dangerous weapon by using the patrol buggy. Kate was still scared but took a deep breath. She would do this in her parents' honor.

"Guys' get ready!" Leo called out.

Kate gripped the lever that split the buggy, but hesitated. Donnie pulled out a hand and looked at Kate with assurance. Kate closed her eyes and before she had second thoughts, she pulled the lever.

The buggy split and Kate drove to the side of the van. The door slides open and a Kraang had a laser gun aimed at her. Kate froze but closed her eyes for a quick second. "I will fight them for my parents' honor." She opened them again and had a fierce look.

"RRRAAAGGHH!" Kate yelled, then jumped inside the van. She took out a kai and sliced all the Kraangs in half. Soon, she got to the driving seat of the van and pulled it over.

The guys stopped the buggy and got off it. They looked at the van with nervousness and waited in anticipation. Kate got out with the widest smile. "I DID IT!" She exclaimed happily. The guys started for a second, then cheered. They ran to her, and Leo was the first to hug her and spin her around. "You, see?! We told you that you could do it!" Leo exclaimed happily.

"That's my sister right there!" Raph said giving Kate a noogie. Kate laughed and said, "You guys are the best! I love you guys!" She looked at the night sky and thought, "I love you too Mami and Papi."

"How about we celebrate this with pizza?" Mikey asked excitedly.

Kate giggled and looked at Mikey. "Sure Mikey." "Pizzas on me!" Donnie said. Kate laughed. "Let's go home guys." Leo said with a smile. "Yeah. Vamos a la casa. (Let's go to the house.)" Kate said. They walked off, into the night, heading to their home.
