Hello, readers. It has been a long time since I have published a story of my creation. This story took me a long time to write cause I wasn't sure on how I wanted it to play out. After over a year, I finally have a story to share with you. A couple years ago, I published a story on a character played by Jonathan Good, known as Dean Ambrose at the time, named John Shaw. It was only a few chapters, but I challenged myself to write a full-length story about the character of John Shaw and this is the results. I hope you enjoy it.

12 Rounds Lockdown: Behind Bars

Chapter 1

The Cincinnati Police Department was busy on this rainy April afternoon. As a matter of fact, everyday here was busy. Non-stop action. Criminals being convicted of drug possession, child pornography, spousal abuse, attempted murder, even kidnapping. In the department of kidnappings, today was another successful rescue mission of a kidnapping. In Columbus, Ohio, a little girl with brown hair, hazel eyes, 9 years old by the name of Maria Smith was abducted from her front yard. Someone spotted her, the kidnapper and a 2015 black Grand Prix at a local 7-Eleven getting gas. The owner of the gas station called the police immediately saying he saw the story on the news and told them their current whereabouts. The police were hot on their trail and were able to get Maria to safety and the kidnapper into custody.

Currently, Maria was sitting in a kids room of the precinct coloring a picture when there was a knock on the door. A rookie officer met the lead officer on the solved case into the room.

"Hey, Bobby," the man greeted.

"Officer Shaw," Bobby addressed.

"How is she?"

"She's doing great. They ran some tests on her. No harm done to her."

"Good. Thaat's one less kid to be caught up in sex trafficking."

"I wish we could save them all," Bobby commented sadly.'

"It's something the captain has taught me. You can't save them all as much as you want to."

"True."

"Why don't you go ahead and take off? I can watch her till her family gets here."

"Sure."

Bobby made his way out the door as the dark-haired, blue-eyed, 6'4, 234 lb. 34 year old Jonathan Moxley Shaw approached the table where Maria was coloring a picture.

"Hi, Maria."

Maria looked up. "Hello."

"You doing okay?"

"Yeah."

"What are you working on?

"A horse with it's baby," Maria said holding up the picture.

"That's pretty good. You know, I have a son that likes to color. He even has a birthday today."

"What's his name?"

"Maxwell. Hey, maybe you could help me with something. See, I'm a little hungry. I went to get an order of a hamburger, fries and a coke. Yet, somehow, they messed up the order and I have 2 hamburgers, 2 orders of fries, and 2 cokes. Now, I said I was hungry, but not that hungry...and I don't want this food to go to waste..."

At that second, Maria's stomach growled.

John chuckled. "That's what I thought. Come on. Let's eat."

After the food and drinks had been devoured, John and Maria found themselves in a 'serious' game of Uno. John had just discarded a red 4. Maria didn't have any red cards, so she layed down a Draw-4 instead.

"What? Hey. Are you cheating?"

"No," Maria giggled.

"Hmm..." John said squinting his eyes.

"Honest."

"Okay, fine," John said drawing 4 cards.

"The card is now blue and I am out.

"Oh, come on. Dang."

There was another knock on the door. Officer Bobby returned to the room urgently opening the door.

"Hey, Shaw. Your presence is being requested."

John turned in his seat to glance at Bobby. "Who wants to see me?"

"The man you arrested. And dare I say...he's upset to put it politely."

John put his Uno cards on the table then rose from the chair. He requested for Bobby to stay with Maria till he returned. John made his way down the hall to the interrogation room. He gave a knock on the door, then entered the room.

"You wanted to see me?"

"You bet I do," the criminal said standing up from his chair.

John shut the door behind him. "I saw your attorney standing outside. What was the reason for that?"

The man smirked. "Didn't want to injure him while I was kicking the living crap out of you."

John sighed. "Brock Lesnar. You know you're in trouble for kidnapping. Do you really want to add assault on a police officer to your record?"

Brock viciously backhanded John across the face sending him to the floor. "Does that answer your question?"

Brock yanked John back to his feet and threw him across the interrogation table. Brock approached John where he lay and grabbed him by the lapels of his black polo shirt and pulled him to his feet. Brock slammed John backfirst against the brick wall.

"How about this for an assault on an officer?"

Brock unloaded with lefts and rights to John's face, the last punch sending Jon to Brock's feet. Brock rolled John onto his back so their eyes connected.

"Look at you," Brock chuckled. "A bloody mess. Pathetic. A tough guy? Really? Who's the tough guy now?"

John connected with an unexpected kick to the groin. Brock groaned loudly as Jon made it back to his feet. He unloaded with rights and lefts of his own and finished with a spinning kick to the face, knocking Brock out. John glanced down at Brock, whos face was also bloody from his own beating. Jon panted as he wiped a trickle of blood from his lip.

"To answer your question: I'm still a tough guy,,,,,more tough than you."

John walked out of the interrogation room and caught sight of Brock's attorney.

"A word of advice, Paul Heyman. Get yourself a new client."
