A/N: Not much to say except I wrote this story on a whim. I suppose don't ask me why I wrote it because it was just because. Warnings of some swearing and a scene where it is insinuated that someone is going to be raped (Not actually so don't worry this ain't redo of healer) it is just used as a plot point. Some self harm insinuations. Other than that I hope you enjoy!

Yuuji age: 13

Mai age: 13

"So are you leaving...Maki?" An old man who was drunk over some booze asked a silhouette of a woman at the door as she walked away.

This man was the 26th head of the Zen'in family, Naobito Zen'in. He was the prodigal son of the lines of Zen'in for generations with the blood for jujutsu sorcerers flowing through his veins. To him, it was only natural that he and his line be great sorcerers and inherit the techniques of the Zen'in. Unfortunate for him, the birth of twins also meant that their powers were split. One daughter, Mai, was capable of seeing and using cursed techniques but was not particularly powerful. The other daughter, Maki, was blessed with super human strength and technique but could not seeing the curses or use cursed techniques. What disappointed his family the most was the fact his daughters were incapable of using the Zen'in family techniques passed down for generations.

Naobito never minded this but his family and the elders always pressed and pressed, still he held strong. Though he defends them when he can as a father should for his children, he is unable to stop the scorns of hatred sent their way from his other family members.

"You've got enough menial tasks to deal with," Maki replied standing in the doorway "Don't worry I'll be back in no time, or at least I'm sure that's what it will feel like."

Naobito swigged another gulp from his container but realized it was the last drop he drank and sighed.

"What for?" the old man inquired further already knowing her answer.

Maki looked at him and gave a lighthearted laugh and then spoke.

"To become the head of the Zen'in family!" She spoke with affirmation and was determined for such a task. But everyone knows that Hercules wasn't the champion because of his relation to Zeus, he had to take a journey to prove himself. Just as Hercules would prove himself, Maki had to prove herself too.

"Bwahaha, I will make your life more difficult then!" the man said laughing as if he was looking a mirror of himself at the past "A suitable heir cannot be merely weak as it would becoming unfitting of the Zen'in clan! Prove yourself worthy Maki, show us that your curse was your true strength all along! But don't think I will leave out your sister, Mai, for the path you chose I will be treating her the same as you!"

Maki looked at him for a moment and smirked.

"Do what you want to her, I don't care" then the girl left without a trace to take on the world of the unknown.

"You can come on over now brat, I know you were listening in on us!" Naobito heard a terrified girl squeal in response but come through the doorway.

"What will you do with us father?" the girl looked sad and on the verge of tears.

"You will be going to a jujutsu sorcerer school to hone your skills further. More specifically it will be the school in Kyoto," the man spoke sternly but then said "If you do not wish to go I will not force you. But both of us know what declining will entail because of the path your sister chose."

The girl didn't have any reaction to the news, nor was she surprised. She understands why her sister is doing it, but can't help but feel angry at her for leaving her, not to mention forcing her in a position like this.

"I understand fully father, I will attend the school for jujutsu sorcerers," the girl spoke solemnly "although I feel this way towards my sister with all this anger and sadness I am sure it will go away. But please give me at least me a month or so in time before I am to leave for Kyoto father."

Naobito looked at his daughter and decided to speak.

"Fine, Fine if that's what you wish for then it will be done, firstly I think you should go out in the city for a walk, perhaps visit the park," Naobito said "Maybe getting fresh air will help you even by a little."

The girl looked up and smiled at her father even for the faintest of moments they remembered their bond of father and daughter.

"Thank you, father." then she left.

"See you when you get back Mai," Naobito said to no one in particular.

Mai was walked to the park down the streets of Tokyo. She had been sighing to herself, wondering what she should do for now.

"I can't believe she would abandon me and break her promise to always be there for me…"

It might have been her thoughts that distracted her but she ended up in some back alley. It was always Maki that guided her in the city so she never got lost. Now that Maki wasn't here to help, she was now lost in a shady back alley. So she decided it best to get out and talk with someone to get directions to the park.

"Huh? Check it out guys, there's a pretty cute chick wandering over here in our territory," this was one of the many gangs in Tokyo and there was just a small group of five in front of Mai.

"Yeah lady your in our territory now, either pay up or we will have you compensate us in other ways," that looked to be the leader who was speaking to her as they got closer and slowly cornered her.

"P-Please I-I don't want any trouble," then she handed over ten thousand yen which was all the money she had in hopes that it would satisfy them.

One of the thugs took it and looked at her in disgust.

"You really think that is enough money to leave you alone girl!" that same thug grabbed Mai by her Kimono while the other sleazebags looked on with grins for their turns. "It looks like you'll have to compensate us in another way, you won't mind, will ya? It's only fair after all walking into our territory all of the sudden."

To say Mai was scared for her life was an understatement. She was having the worst day of her life already with Maki leaving and now she was being robbed and probably forced to do acts against her will that she wanted to save for a special someone one day.

So, like any reasonably scared person she yelled.

"S-Stop it! Please!" but that just made them smirk more "Someone please help me!"

One of the thugs started hitting her head and she blacked out and fell to the ground.

To say Yuuji was having a bad day was an understatement, he was temporarily suspended for intervening in a fight to stop it. Then afterwards the bully manipulated it to look like Yuuji was the bully who targeted both him and the kid he bullied. But because of the damages the bully did, Yuuji did not have any witnesses to help defend his side after all the school staff saw him as a trouble child. Then he had several instances of bad luck after such as slipping on a banana peel on his way out the school (seriously?! Who even litters when there was a trash can right there?!), was late for the bus to his way back home so now he was walking back home. But the worst of it all was that his girlfriend of six months was cheating on him and his friends told him about it. Sure he was glad they told him, but man it sucked hearing that your girlfriend was cheating on you. But Yuuji was usually a lucky guy so he never really understood why this was happening.

Yuuji then came to a realization "If I have been lucky all my life and all of the sudden I start getting unlucky that must mean...I lost all my good boy points with lady luck and now I am paying the price!"

Yuuji comically was freaking out at the predicament that he found himself in. But he supposed it could always be and get worse so he decided not to ponder on it too long. Then he remembered what his grandfather told him once about luck.

"If you find yourself low on luck and down in the dumps, remember that once someone hits rock bottom that they can only go up from there Yuuji. So if you ever get sad that you are having a bad day, remember that even though it is bad, it can always get better."

Yuuji smiled remembering his grandfathers words. His grandfather was there to raise him ever since he was a boy since his parents were not there for him. So, he ended up like a father figure in his life and that's all he ever wanted, so nowadays if his parents ever did show up he would probably reject them because the burden they put on his grandfather.

Right now Yuuji was walking down the streets of Tokyo on his way home and had just passed the park. He heard some commotion off in the distance that sounded oddly off and unusual, not something of the normal commotion but rather something worse. Yuuji had this feeling of something happening and continued walking in the direction he heard the noise come from.

Yuuji looked around to see if anybody else was hearing this off sound, perhaps it was just him though. So now he was facing an alley way and decided to enter in it.

"Someone please help me!"

Yuuji heard that plea for help and that was all he needed to know. He ran as fast as he could to the sound, running and turning the corner he sees a girl his age getting surrounded by what seem to be a gang.

"Stupid whore wouldn't listen so I had to knock her out, hehe now we can enjoy the goods," they were looking lecherously at the unconscious girls body and just as one was about to pick her up there was multiple kicks that knocked two thugs aside to some trash.

"If you don't wish to die I suggest you leave here at once," Yuuji lied while putting up a dark front to try and scare them off.

"Ha like you cou-" the one speaking was punched all the way to the end of the all way unconscious and bleeding heavily.

"I think it would be wise to leave and take your buddies before things get fatal…" Yuuji pressed.

"W-Whatever man let's dip, dying ain't worse some stupid bitch anyways," than the thugs left.

As soon as they left Yuuji turned his attention to the girl on the ground. The girl had mid-length black hair that reaches to her neck and has dark eyes with thin eyebrows as well. She wore what appeared to be a training kimono from the more traditional parts of Japan.

Immediately he noticed she was unconscious but nothing too serious except a few cuts and bruises on her faces which her frowned at.

"Just what exactly did they do to the poor girl?" She looked like she had been through the wringer, so he decided that since his house was nearby anyways he can let her rest there and patch up the injuries on her.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come in time," Yuuji said sad that he was literally just seconds away from preventing her from more harm, if only he had ran before hand maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Yuuji picked her up bridal style and quickly ran off, careful to not shake too much.

"I hope grandpa doesn't get too made at me bringing some unconscious girl home, not sure what he would think after me getting suspended." Yuuji then remembered how his grandpa always is though and wouldn't mind.

It took about five minutes of running but he finally reached his house (in reality his house wasn't that close by, he was just really, really fast). Yuuji walked in the door and saw there was nobody home yet, it seemed his grandfather was out shopping for something.

Yuuji walked to his room and laid the unconscious girl down on his bed while putting covers over her. Remembering what his grandfather taught him with treating people who were unconscious. The girl had a peaceful look on her face that was very beautiful to see, it oddly reminded him of when he went to a funeral and saw the peace the deceased was in. So, he got to work with getting tea ready for when she wakes up and put an ice pack on her head. Yuuji also saw cuts on her face and hands so he applied ointment and bandages to prevent infection.

While noticing the cuts on her hands he decided to examine her arms to see if she got hurt there as well. What he saw saddened him, he saw scars of cut marks on her arm. Perhaps there was more of a reason why she looked so at peace when unconscious.

Deciding it was not his business as she was a complete stranger, he wasn't going to look further. So he went back to the kitchen to get himself some tea to drink.

Then the front door started to open and he saw his grandpa coming in with groceries.

"Hey grandpa! Welcome home!" Yuuji was always happy when he saw his grandfather "What is for dinner tonight?"

"Just the usual chicken curry but to me it seems you never get sick of this old mans cooking," the old man laughed to himself about how great of a grandson he had.

"Oh yeah there was a person in trouble and they ended up getting hurt so I brought them here to recover," this surprised his grandfather who knew it wasn't everyday that you bring someone home because they are hurt.

"Are they alright? I will take a look if it is anything serious Yuuji," the boy declined him, he already took care of her there was no point for his grandfather to waste his time on her when there was nothing to do but help her recover "Well look over them while I cook dinner Yuuji, invite them to eat dinner if they are up to it."

"Sure gramps I'll do that once they wake up, they were knocked unconscious and I barely made it in time to help," Yuuji look disappointed but his grandfather pat him on the back and hugged him.

"As long as you are safe and you did your best is all we can ever hope for Yuuji," Yuuji thanked him and then proceeded into his room to watch over the girl.

Yuuji looked down at the girl who was lying on his bed and decided to sit down on the chair and look at her better since now he isn't rushing anymore. She looked around his age with hair that was mid-length and stopped at her shoulders and was complimented by her stern yet beautiful and peaceful smile.

A few hours passed and it was around the evening and dinner was almost ready.

Yuuji was still looking over the girl and he thought she wouldn't wake up and so he was starting to get concerned until he saw her start opening her eyes.

"W-Where am I?" the girl asked no one in particular.

"My name is Yuuji Itadori, I brought you to my home to recover after I saw that gang knocked you out," Yuuji gave her his signature smile "You got roughed up pretty bad so I decided to skip the hospital bills and bring you here for rest, you looked pretty tired even while unconscious."

"T-Thank you very much for saving me from those people, I don't really spend much time here in the city so I ended up getting lost," she said solemnly "Oh yes I didn't give my name, it is Mai Zen'in, it is very nice to meet you Yuuji-kun."

Yuuji blushed at the formality she gave to him. Also, he felt like he was in a trance when she spoke, until he decided to speak up.

"It is nice to meet you too Mai-chan," Yuuji smirked "My grandfather will be finished making dinner soon, would you like to join us for dinner? It is alright if you are not feeling up to it after what you have been through."

Yuuji had been secretly hoping that she join them for dinner as she would be someone else to talk to with his gramps, not to mention how great the chicken curry is!

Mai looked at him and smiled.

"I think I'd like that." she didn't know why but all the problems she was having were melting down before her in front of this Itadori Yuuji she met. He radiated kindness and warmth towards her and she felt a feeling in her chest she never felt in her life, although she never felt it in her life.

"I've never felt this way in my life before, what is this foreign sensation it that I am feeling?" She knew she felt safe but that was about it.

Mai was getting up out of the bed to follow Yuuji into the kitchen with him with a smirk on his face waiting in the doorway.

"Well are ya gonna take all evening, I think I might die before you make it out of the bed with speed you are going." Yuuji teased leaning against the wall.

"I'm coming, I'm coming, don't die on me Yuuji-kun," Mai fired back as she started to get up. However as she got up she fell on her butt seemingly not able to move her legs.

Yuuji was pretty surprised when she seemingly fell and thought she broke something and started freaking out.

"Are you alright Mai-chan? Oh shoot we have got to get you to a hospital…" Yuuji was pacing back and forth and walked up to Mai who just gave of a soft laugh.

"It seems my legs have fallen asleep, could you erm perhaps help me to the table?" Mai asked flustered having to ask for this guy she just met to carry her like a maiden or some sort. But Yuuji didn't really think much of it himself. "I'm sure it isn't anything I need checked up on the hospital for."

"Oh yeah sure thing," Yuuji picked her up bridal style which earned him and 'eep' from a very not ready Mai.

"You meanie you picked me up when I wasn't ready," Mai pouted to him cutely, not to mention she wasn't used to be carried at all or especially like this. Yuuji looked embarrassed at this and quickly apologized.

The sweet aroma of food didn't take long to reach the noses of Yuuji and Mai.

"I'd never hear the end of it if my grandfather sees me carrying you like this haha," Yuuji said which left Mai feeling disappointed which she didn't understand why "I'll just try to avoid him as I bring you to the table which might just be impossible."

"Is a little stealth too difficult for the guy who saved me from five thugs?" Mai teased.

Yuuji looked up and with a look that said 'challenge accepted'.

As soon as he started creeping through the kitchen with no sign of his grandfather until he felt a presence behind him.

"What are you doing Yuuji?" the old man asked not knowing Yuuji was trying to avoid him "I didn't think you'd be trying to seduce the poor young lady just when you saved her."

At this the both beamed red.

"D-Don't go saying stuff like that gramps," Yuuji stuttered out "Besides we just met after all, so don't go making accusations like that on me!"

"Yes, yes, Yuuji, before you go into the dinning room," his grandfather started "are you not going to introduce me to our beautiful guest?"

Mai blushed at the compliment, it wasn't often that she was told she was beautiful.

"S-Sir my name is Mai Zen'in," she spoke meekly "It is nice to meet the grandfather of my savior."

Yuuji looked surprised at being called a savior, he only did what he thought was right even at the time.

"Savior, eh? I think she's falling for you already haha," which gave an even redder Mai and a protesting Yuuji "It is nice to met you as well Mai, my name is Wasuke Itadori."

"Anyways, what are you doing standing here like an idiot for? Lets go eat!"

At that Mai and Yuuji sat next to each other with Wasuke across from them. The were three plates with chicken curry and vegetables, with each had their own bowls of rice. The dining room itself was nice as it had a homey feel to it with fancy china and photos of Yuuji and his grandfather. Mai could tell by the photos that it was only Yuuji and his grandfather living here.

"Wow this is the most delicious chicken curry I have ever tasted in my life!" Mai was amazed, the Zen'in family was famous for their riches and having overall a nice and fancy living meaning great food. But this chicken curry was leagues above anything the Zen'in could conjure up by any standard.

"Yeah you always hit it spot on gramps!" Yuuji said with a wide smile as he always loved his grandfathers cooking.

"I am glad to see you both enjoying it, especially our guest," Wasuke adds with a smirk "So Mai, what were you doing to get yourself in such a danger?"

"I was just trying to walk to the park to get some fresh air when I ended up walking into a back alley when those men approached me," Mai was sad remembering why she left the Zen'in compound "The men knocked me out and the next thing I know I woke up in Yuuji-kun's room."

Yuuji had his face buried deep in his food but he was still listening.

"My grandson has always has a strong sense of justice so I am not surprised he saved you." the grandfather said sweetly "I am just glad he met such a sweet young lady like you and that you are safe."

Mai was surprised at how welcoming Yuuji and his grandfather had been, all her life in the Zen'in it had been the opposite.

"So Mai-chan where do you go to school?" Yuuji asked out loud.

Mai looked down sadly and spoke.

"I am home schooled by my family," Mai said quietly "I am the younger sister to the heir so I serve my sister at home."

"Wow Mai you must be a good student to have the diligence to deal with such a task," Wasuke complimented looking to brighten her mood by looking at the bright side of things which got a smile and 'thanks' from Mai.

Looking to brighten the mood Yuuji as well he changed the subject.

"Earlier when you said you were trying to go to the park and got lost I was wondering if you needed a guide to show you around, or something…" Yuuji said nervously which perked Mai up "I could show you around sometime."

"I'd love that!" Mai said almost immediately with a big smile.

The rest of the dinner continued for the next hour with Yuuji, his grandfather, and Mai chatting about small things here and there. The occasional tease and joke thrown here and there between the three with Wasuke happy to see his grandson have a friend to talk to.

After dinner it was pretty late in the night and Yuuji was with Mai at the door.

"Mai-chan can I walk you home? I am concerned for your safety if you were to walk out alone especially after today's incident," Yuuji asked genuinely concerned she might find trouble again.

Mai was caught off guard by this question because she was going to ask him to accompany her but just smiled and said.

"I-I think it would be for the best, Yuuji-kun" Mai smiled bashfully. "The Zen'in compound is in the south district just past the old will statue."

Yuuji knew the old will statue but did not realize there was anything beyond there as it was all forest. So he thought it best to let him guide her until that point and let her take over from there.

"Ah okay, sounds good, I will lead us to there then!" then they were off.

The pair was walking under the street lights of Tokyo enjoying idle chat and enjoying each others company.

"You know Yuuji-kun, before the incident I didn't have any friends because of my family," Mai stopped causing Yuuji to also stop "But I am glad to have been able to meet and talk with you as a friend."

Yuuji usually acted this way to everyone he met under first impressions because that's the type of guy he is and was raised to be. Nevertheless this got a sheepish look from Yuuji.

"Ya know it really is nothing, I'm no superman, that's for sure and we are only human," Yuuji spoke with confidence "But if I am being honest, I don't think I have met anyone as great as you either. Friends come in all shapes and sizes and mine just came in the shape of an unconscious damsel in distress."

That earned Yuuji a soft hit to his arm for calling Mai a damsel, she didn't really like being that kind of girly girl like her sister Maki leaned toward. Yuuji apologized for the damsel part but she played it off because she really didn't mean it too much.

"You can stop me since it is none of my business, but what were you getting air from?" Yuuji asked with a concerned look on his face. Mai's heart melted at that look he gave her and decided to give in.

"My sister moved away to a fancy school to study and become the heir to the Zen'in family," Mai said sadly, Yuuji noticed this and thought the two were pretty close "We were together for so long and she made the promise she would never leave me. She broke that promise, now the Zen'in family is pressuring me to follow in her footsteps else I would look like a disgrace to the family."

At this point Mai was about to break down with tears until she felt his touch.

"Stop me at any point if you feel uncomfortable Mai-chan," Yuuji pulled Mai into an embrace under the moonlight with her sobbing in his chest as she was a little short than him. "there there Mai-chan, everything will be alright, you can let it all out."

This was a boy she just met yet she trusted him fully with telling him this. Maybe it was because he was such a good friend to her she thought. Yuuji himself also saw her as a friend so their actions were not too far off as they could seemingly truth one another.

"I-I j-just met y-you yet you still comfort me like t-this," Mai sputtered out with tears still in her eyes.

Yuuji just smiled and brought her eyes to meet his.

"After all, friends should be there to burden each others problems for each other, don't cha think so Mai-chan?" Mai couldn't help but laugh at this.

This boy in front of her was her very first friend excluding Maki, which they were sisters so in her mind it was a given they were friends. This boy stood out from any other person she met, as long as she remembered she and her sister were strictly restricted from exploring outside in Tokyo. It was for the better in certain aspects thinking about the men who tried to do unruly things to her. But when remembered not too long ago when she met Yuuji she felt like a hole in her heart was filled. Although she did love her own father, Yuuji and his grandfather welcomed her like family. It was something she hadn't felt.

"Y-Yuuji-kun is it alright if you show me around some more tomorrow? I'm not sure if my father will approve of it but even if it is for one more day…" Mai asked nervously still in Yuuji's arms.

Yuuji looked a little bit surprised at that, usually he was used to not really doing much in his free time or hanging out with his friends outside of school activities. He was happy to hear her ask that but realized there was always a chance her father wouldn't let her from what she said. Either way he was happy to oblige.

"I'd love to show you around some time!" Yuuji said happily.

Mai realized that her father might be worried or angry with her coming home so late at night. So Mai told Yuuji this and they decided to walk hand in hand (because they are friends of course! Why else would they be holding each others hands?!). They saw sights of the park, famous world class restaurants, bridges stretching across massive bodies of water, and finally the old will statue.

Yuuji was intimidated by how large the compound seemed to be. He thought that Mai must be super rich and was looking at her with dazzling eyes.

"Wow your family must be some big shots to have a place as large as this," Yuuji pondered out loud "I don't think I'd be able to afford something this nice even if I spent my whole life saving for it…"

Mai had always admired the sheer size of the compound, it might have been a bit overkill to some people, but there were quite a bit of people in the Zen'in family.

"Yeah this place almost unreal that sometimes I can't even believe I live here sometimes…" Mai started.

The two were about to continue until they both heard footsteps coming from further towards the entrance until Mai's father, Naobito, appeared. It seems he had new bottle of alcohol in his hands this time.

"It seems you finally decided to come home Mai," Naobito started until he noticed the boy she was holding hands with "Huh? Whose the guy you've got with you Mai? I know I said get some fresh air but sheesh you've been gone so long that I've been wondering where you have been."

Yuuji deciding to take this opportunity to formally introduce himself and explain the situation for Mai who seemed nervous around who ever this old fart was.

"Nice ta meet cha old man, my name is Yuuji Itadori," the old man remark caused Naobito to laugh out loud "Mai here got into some trouble with some punks so I helped her out, she had dinner with me and my grandfather, and now we are here."

Of course Yuuji wanted to keep the explanation short in case and leave out any of the soppy moments like her being in his bed. Although Yuuji was a little uneasy when he gave out a laugh earlier.

"I like you kid! You are the first person in ages to treat me without fear," Yuuji then felt something uneasy and a terrible presence appear "This is a test! Prepare yourself Itadori!"

In a split second the man was in front of Yuuji and attempted to punch Yuuji. It felt like someone was tearing his arms apart but he still persisted. Then it stopped, with Naobito laughing.

"You save my daughter and then she has dinner with you," he started darkly "then you manage to block my punch without so much as a flinch, I can sense you are much stronger than you carry yourself kid! My name is Naobito Zen'in, Mai's father and the current head of the Zen'in family, it is a pleasure to meet you."

Then the boy and man shook hands with the most firm and strong of hand shakes, but still nice and quick like it should be.

Mai and Yuuji were confused at Mai's father behavior, especially the former. Mai was wondering why he was acting this way all of a sudden. Then that's when they saw it, the twinkle in Naobito's eye and then he spoke with the confidence of a million and one men!

"You would make a great husband for my daughter Mai!" Naobito roared which got Mai blushing trying to stop her father from going to far too fast. Then Yuuji realizing he is far too young right now to get married so he just said.

"Well gramps if we were at an age where we could get married then I might agree to it," Yuuji said with a protesting Mai cutely protesting him "Besides we don't even know that much about each other."

Yuuji said the last part with his pinkie finger picking his ear. No matter how much they might like each he knew rushing too far too deep into stuff like marriage was stupid, even by his own standards (professionals have standards you know!).

Naobito seemed to laugh at that.

"Yes, yes of course with due time young Itadori," Naobito mused with Mai still chibi protesting in the background "I suppose I can tell already with the way you two are that you two wish to hang out with each other again."

The duo were surprised that Naobito could infer that already. Naobito is known for his superior intellect and physical prowess so this was no off thing for him to do.

"Yes I'd like to hang out with Mai-chan/Yuuji-kun again," the two said in unison with determination.

Naobito admired their resolve, he could hear it in their voices, even if it was to be with someone.

"It seems my little Mai-chan is growing up into a proper young lady," Naobito mused in his head with fatherly tears proud of his daughter with her growth in such a short amount of time. Was it because of the boy in front of her? He remembered how sad his daughter was when Maki left, then it got worse when news was delivered that she would inevitably become a sorcerer. Now he is happy to see that she is happy, that was all he wanted for his children, that's why he decided to make Maki and Mai's life harder when Maki declared she was going to earn her right as heir. It was all because he cared and wished to see her dream fulfilled as someone even stronger than himself.

"I admire you two, I really do," the old warrior said in reminisce "Fine I will let you two go in the city together normally like friends would. But there is only one condition…"

At this Mai and Yuuji were nervous what condition Naobito was thinking of, was it good? Was it bad? They couldn't tell with how mysterious the man is.

"The condition is…" Naobito said in suspense "Mai can not leave the compound unless you, Yuuji, are there to escort her. After what you told me, I have realized that I was a fool to let Mai go by herself without protection of any sort, so if you follow that then I will guarantee and block and backlash from the rest of the family."

"I will protect her and her world with my life, sir!" Yuuji said with a face full of determination. Mai was embarrassed but liked the determination he showed for her safety.

"I will let you kids finish up out here doing whatever kids do nowadays…" with a smile fading into the shadows, Naobito left.

Mai Zen'in and Yuuji Itadori were left in the moonlight staring into each others eyes.

"I thought I had the worst day before you showed up, but rather than being a bad day, it was the start to something better. The start to a friendship I will love and cherish!" Mai said looking Yuuji in the eyes.

"Yeah I can say it is the same for me Mai-chan, I was having the worst day in my life or what I thought it was. Then the tragedy turned into a friendship I never thought I would have." Yuuji said softly.

Yuuji then pulled Mai in for a hug and whispered in her ear.

"This is the beginning to something great Mai-chan…"

Mai could only help but smile at this.

The two pulled apart after a couple minutes. It was then that Mai remembered that she had not even gotten Yuuji's contact information so they can talk about when to meet up and such.

"Here is my contact information so we can coordinate when we are going to meet up," Mai said pulling out her phone.

Yuuji pulled out his phone in response and put down Mai's contact information.

Then Yuuji and Mai decided to part ways and say goodnight to each other.

A/N: Wow that took not very long to write, I'd say I spent 7 or so hours working on it. I was just really inspired to write it. I suppose this is what one calls a justice shipping or something like that. Anyways I hope you enjoyed, please leave a review and follow/favorite if you want to I am not positive when I'll have the next chapter out.
