Spirit world
King Koenma castle
The current ruler of the spirit was busy dealing with a mountain of paperwork that could reach to the top of his office. All the spirit and beings that were in this world and he had to take care if nothing goes wrong.
''So much paperwork. How that hell did my father dealt with this is beyond me.'' Said him while sucking his pacifier.
He wasn't a fan of paperwork. When you are the king of the spirit world you need to make sure that every spirit and ghost is check upon. Which mean, every day is thousands of new files to fill in.
''I wish we had another tournament. That was so much fun.'' Said him remeberign being Yusuke and his friend on the tournament. The excitement, the drama, the suspense, he loved those moments
Soon his most of his worries were chanced when his loyal secretary Jorge arrived running into his office.
''Sir. Sir. Sir.'' Scream the ogre all despaired.
''Wow Jorge calm down what is happening.'' Said Koenma all confused.
''We were doing a inventory of all the spirit weapons that were confiscated on the past 1000 years but then we saw that one of the items is missing. And is a big one.'' Said Jorge all worried and scared for his life.
That made the king concern. One of those weapons in the wrong hands could lead to the massacre of billions.
''What item is missing?'' Asked Koenma.
''This one.'' Said Jorge giving a picture to the king
Koema saw that the item was a weird looking Urb. Who looked like it was made of clay and had a weird face on the front?
''The seed Urn.'' Said Koenma all worried
It was mystical pot with the power to conjured majestically beast to aim to the person that the blood was put inside. Soon a powerful and grotesque creature would appear and protect their host from any treats possible.
''I thought my father has destroyed that thing centuries ago.'' Said Koenma now worried.
''No sir apparently it was stolen from us. I don't know how.' Said Jorge all embarrassed.
''And you guys discover this just now!'' Said the toddler king all angry
''Yes, my lord. I´m sorry I guess we should have done this inventory a little early.'' Said Jorge all sad.
''Ok. We can still find this thing, let's just send a couple of bounty hunters to find this thing over in the spirit world and them we are calm again.'' Said Koenma.
''Well the thing is sir…the urn is not on the spirit world.'' Said Jorge
''What! You mean that thing end up in the human world?'' Scream Koenma worried
''Also, no sir.'' Said Jorge now confusing the toddler king
''What do you mean is not in the human world?" Asked hi
''Is not in this human world is on the other human world.'' Said him now scared
Koemna just frozen upon hearing the words ´´other human world´´. That was an experiment that his father did centuries ago. A kind mashup of both the human world and the spirit world. Were beasts and monster walked around the Earth and the strongest survive. He never set foot in that place for obvious reasons
''You mean…that hellish place?'' Asked Koenam
''Yes.'' Said Jorge
''I can't believe that such a powerful toll end up there. I thought that place was already screwed with all that crap that is in there.'' Said Koenma.
''So why can we send some forces to protect the people from the beasts that walk around that planet?' Asked Jorge.
''Because there is already a force that can combat all those treats. They are called Hunters.'' Said Koenma.
''Hunters? Are they hunter of animals?'' Asked Jorge thinking of the stereotype hunter
''don't think so much because your brain is gonna fry.'' Said Koenman
''Sorry.'' Said Jorge.
''Stop apologizing I already forgave you.'' Said Koenma
''Ok sir. But what do we do now?" Asked him as the tiny king only signed.
''Well is true that this is bad. An object of that power in that world is no good. We need to retrieve immediately'' Said Koenma
''What are you going to do?'' Asked Jorge and Koenma took off his cellphone
''I know exactly who to call.'' Said him
A few hours later
Four figures appear in front of the king and his servant. They were now feeling a lot happier and safer upon seeing these peoples.
''I am so happy to see you all. The spirit world is in danger and you are all our only hope.'' Said him to old friends.
Yusuke Urameshi, Kurama Youko, Hiei and Kazuma Kuwabara (all with the clothes from the last OVA) were in front of the king all happy (except for Hiei) to be back in action
''don't worry man. Anything you see we are happy to help.'' Said Yusuke.
''I got it admit, is been a while since we were called here.'' Said Kurama.
''Man is this exciting. Just like old times going on adventures.'' Said Kuwabara.
''Who do you want me to kill?'' Asked Hiei to which everyone in the room only sweat drops.
Koenma only chuckles a little at the devil remark.
''Well is good to see that you still pleasant as always Hiei.'' Said him.
''What do you mean?'' Asked him confused.
''I think Hiei is not able to understand sarcasm yet, ein.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh
''He still act as the same.'' Said Kuwabara
''He looks better the way he is.'' Said Kurama
''What are you two talking about?'' Asked Hiei
''Jokes aside we need you all to retrieve this.'' Said Koenma giving a picture of the Seed Ur.
''What is this ugly pot?" Asked Yusuke.
''The Seed Ur, a dangerous object that was stolen from us here in the spirit world.'' Said Koenma.
''Are those Guardian Spirits?" Asked Hiei looking at the picture while Yusuke and Kuwabara understood nothing.
''What are Guardian spirits?'' Asked Kuwbara
''Guardians spirits are kind a parasitic being that consist of spiritual energy. They are distinctive because of their host character and disposition.'' Said Kurama.
''Exactly. They are extremely dangerous and being put in the wrong hands, can cause destruction where they go.'' Said Koenman
''So where is this pot so we can end this mess?" Asked Kuwabara.
''The only problem is that this object is neither in the spirit world or in the Human world.'' Said Koenma confusing both humans.
''What do mean?' Asked Yusuke.
''I am saying that there is another world besides your world and the spirit world.'' Said Koenma
Yusuke and Kuwabara had their jaws dropped to the ground once they heard that big news.
''Wait are you saying there is another world different from my and yours?'' Asked Yusuke still in disbelief.
''Exactly.'' Said Koenma.
''Not cool man. We should know this a while back.'' Said Kuwabara.
''I know you two are disappointed but is for the best. This world is nothing but unpleasant, is filled of dangerous creatures that eat people by the masses. Corruption that's goes beyond the human mind and an inconsistency lack of humanity.'' Said Koenma worrying the spirit detective group.
''I heard stories and myths about this world, but I thought it was just a tale. Because if it was real…'' Said Hiei and then Koenma cuts him.
''You would like to go there and fight a bunch of strong opponents?" Asked Koenma with a raised eyebrow.
''Exactly.'' Said Hiei all serious.
''Oh boy Hiei.'' Said Yusuke shaking his head in disbelief.
''So, you see I need you all to find this thing before it can cause the destruction of many life's. I still watch over that world and I would like to not go on flames yet.'' Said Koenma.
''Do you have an idea where this thing is at?" Asked Yusuke
''No, my dear Yusuke. But I know how you all can manage to find this artefact. If you all become Hunters
''Hunters?'' Asked the group.
''Exactly. In this world, the main force of power are called Hunters. They are the ones that protect cities and other places from devastating evil creatures. There are tons of professions that Hunters can take, but none of the less think of them as glorifying explores.'' Said Koenma.
''Wow being a hunter must be awesome.'' Said Kuwabara.
''Is a dedicated and dangerous career. I doubt that you would be fit for the job.'' Said Hiei
''Man, you are telling me that I don't have the appeal to be a hunter?' Asked Kuwabara.
''Yes.'' Said Hiei all bland to Kuwabara who was pissed.
Yusuke then stop his two friends to bump their heads again toward each other.
''Hey, cut it out. We need to deal with this problem first and then you two can beat each other up.'' Said him.
''Yeah, safe your strength for something more important.'' Said Kurama.
''You two don't know what is like to be always teased by someone that is half your size.'' Said Kuwabara all pissed.
''Oh, come on guys.'' Said Yusuke.
''Oh sorry.'' Said Kuwabara all embarrassed while Hiei only looks annoyed.
''Anyway, going back to the main issue here. You all need to leave for the other world.'' Said Koenma.
''So how are we supposed to be hunters. Are you gonna make us automatically ones?" Asked Yusuke
''Oh no being a hunter is something that take determination and hard work,'' Said Koenma
''But we are already like that.'' Said Yusuke feeling insulted
''I know you are all very smart and brave but the people in this world also need to see your full potential.'' Said Koenma
''So how are we supposed to become Hunters?" Asked Yusuke
''Jorge bring me the papers.'' Said Koenma
''Yes sir.'' Said the ogre
Jorge then bring some papers as Koenma had signed them all.
''Yes, perfect.'' Said him giving the boys these papers.
''what is it?'' Asked Kurama
''You all are be taking the hunter exam.'' Said Koenma
''What?'' Asked the group, but Yusuke got the idea.
''Ok I get it. I would like to do it, this thing sound like fun.'' Said Yusuke.
''of course, you would say that.'' Said Kurama.
''Wait a minute…. Hey what about our friends? What are we supposed to say?'' Asked Kuwabara. He wanted to know what his sister would do to him, if she knew he would go to a dangerous world.''
''We can all sent message to them informing of what you are all doing. We will keep in touch to see what is going.'' Said Koenma
Yusuke and Kuwabara got little relief to be hearing that.
''As long that thye see that we are fine, I´m ok.'' Said Yusuke
''Also, if my beloved Yukina see that I´m alive, it would make so happy.'' Said Kuwabara
''You sure doesn't know when to stop it.'' Said Hiei
''Why you!'' Scream Kuwabara
''Please guys stop.'' Said Yusuke
Koenma and Jorge only sweat drop at this. Their hopes were riding in these people shoulders.
''I can go along and do whatever I pleased.'' Said Hiei
''No, I know your type Hiei. While this world is full of dangerous creatures, you need to stay in the group.'' Said Koenma
''Ridiculous.'' Said Hiei
''So Koenam when we can we go?" Asked Yusuke
''Wait a few days, this is when my minions can make a portal.'' Said Koenma
''Good, see you then in a few days.'' Said Yusuke all excited
A few days later
After a little explanation to all his friends the Spirit detective team was ready to go. All of them excited (except Hiei) and ready to fight.
''Hey guys are you all ready?'' Asked Yusuke
'Yeah!'' Said Kuwabara.
''remember we need to stay low. We do the exam and the we need to find the Seed of Ur.'' Said Kurama
''I don't care, as long I find people strong to fight, I will be glad.'' Said Hiei
Koenma only rolls his eyes of Hiei commentary.
''Ok guys, do you all remember what do you need to do?" Asked him
''Yes, first we do the exam.'' Said Yusuke
''Then we need to do some exploring using our licenses.'' Said Kuwabara.
''Find this urb…'' Said Kurama
''And them destroy?'' Said Hiei
''No bring it here!'' Scream Koenma
''If you lost one time, why bother a second time.'' Said Hiei.
''Oh brother?'' Said Yusuke rolling his eyes.
''Now listen keep this with you all the time.'' Said Koenma giving Yusuke a little mirror
''what is this?" Asked him
''Is a mirror that can be use as contact with us. We will also give some for your family and friends to say that you are all right.'' Said the toddler king
''Great thanks!'' Said Yusuke
''Urameshi come on. Let's go or will leave you.'' Said Kuwabara ready to leave the castle
''Wait up guys. And don't worry I will pick the Ur.'' Said Yusuke with a wink.
''Us, he mean US!'' Scream Kuwabara all angry at that guy attitude.
''Oh, I´m sorry guys, I mean us.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh
''Why you punk!'' Scream Kuwabara
''People please.'' Said Kurama.
''I´m leaving without you idiots'' Said Hiei already passing in the portal.
''Sir the portal is not gonna hold off for much longer.'' Said Jorge
''Is time to go.'' Said Koenma waving to his team.
The team all jumped toward the portal leaving the spirit world. While inside the portal they felt weird energy passing trod them. It was a weird feeling
''Man, this is intense.'' Said Yusuke
''Yeah. But better than flying on a airplane.'' Said Kuwabara with a shaky feeling.
''Are you shaking?" Asked Kurama.
''No, I´m not scared. I´m a real man.'' Said Kuwabara trying to act tough
''Is ok to be scared Kuwabara.'' Said Yusuke
''You are a coward.'' Said Hiei
''SHUT UP YOU!'' Scream Kuwabara
''You are annoying.'' Said Hiei.
Yusuke only sweet drops at that.
Back at the Spirit world
''Sir do you really think they can help us?'' Said Jorge
''Well I never been to that world before. My father had and he said it is a constantly nightmare. I hope that they be safe and sound while doing their mission.'' Said Koenma
''I hope so.'' Said Jorge tense but Koenma was more tense.
''is not these creatures that I´m worried. I hope Yusuke and the other never have to encounter anyone who can use Nen.'' Thought him worried.
Whale Island
It was the big day of the hunter exam. Thousands of applicants were getting aboard a ship that would take them to the city were the test would be held. They were filled with the most buff and intense guys possible. But among them there was a 13-year-old boy with green uniform.
On an ally nearby
Yusuke and his friends all made a successful trip into the other world. And although Kuwabara was ready to vomit he held it up.
''Well that was intense.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh
''Hey, check it out a harbor.'' Said Kuwabara seeing the huge gathering of people.
''What's the occasion?" Asked Kurama.
''I guess is ship for some unknow destination.'' Said Hiei
''You can say that too Hiei.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh
The team walk toward the harbor all normal. So far everything seen normal in this world, it look just like their outside for some animals.
''What do you think they are going aboard?" Asked Yusuke
''You´re the detective here. Go find yourself.'' Said Hiei.
''I guess so.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh.
Later the went to find some random person and discover what was going on.
''Hey man what is the occasion here?'' Asked Yusuke to a random fish seller.
''Oh don't you know is the boat that will lead the contested for the Hunter exame.'' Said the fish seller.
''Oh really?" Asked Yusuke all excited. He found where to go.
''Yeah, do you have your application?'' Asked him
''Application?'' Asked Yusuke confused.
''Wait! How come you don't have an application or doesn't know about the Hunter Exam?" Asked the fish seller all confused
''Huh'' Said Yusuke all confused. Luckily for him Kurama was there.
''Sorry for him, I have our application. We were about to leave.'' Said him
''Yeah. Sorry for that old man. I have some sort memory, ha ha ha.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh.
Soon the team walk toward the ship with Kurama in the lead since he hold the papers.
''Kurama. You are a live safer.'' Said Yusuke all happy
''I know. But next time try to be a little more clever. King Koenma told you about the papers and you still forgets.''' Said Kurama
''My bad.'' Said Yusuke with a cheap laugh.
Soon Kurama lead all the others to the boat where the captain was doing the call to sail.
''Last call!'' Said the captain.
''Wait we are also applicants.'' Said Kurama leading the group and handling the papers
''Took you all long enough. Welcome aboard.'' Said the captain
''Thanks.'' Said Yusuke as all the others enter abord the ship.
''Hey, does this cruise have some food? I´m starved.'' Said Kuwabara.
''Kuwabara. This isn't a cruise ship. We are going to be luck if we get any food.'' Said Kurama with a laugh
Soon the team was all aboard. They all saw a bunch of muscular guys there, they all look intense and ruthless. But they weren't scared.
''More idiots that are about to get crushed. Maybe this exam isn't a bad idea.'' Said Hiei with a little smile
As the ship sails the people all wave towards the passages and Yusuke also waves at them.
''Goodbye!"' Said him confusing his teammates.
''Do you know anyone here?" Asked Kuwabara.
''No, but this is fun to do.'' Said Yusuke waving.
''Oh yeah. BYE YOU ALL!'' Scream Kuwabara.
''So long!'' Said Kurama.
''You are all unworthy compare to me!'' Said Hiei with his arms crossed.
''Well that a nice way to say bye.'' Said Kuwabara with a sweat drop.
Soon after they were at sea, they check out their competition.
''Look at all these guys.'' Said Yusuke
''Most are just buffed.'' Said Kuwabara.
''Pretty pathetic I might said.'' Said Hiei
However, one thing got Yusuke Urameshi attention, was when he saw a little kid there in the middle of that grown up crowd. The kid looks like he had 12 or 13 years old and he had a fishing rod with him.
Yusuke went there to see what the deal was.
''Hey Yusuke, where are you going?" Asked Kurama.
''Excuse me there.'' Said Yusuke to the kid
'Hi.'' Said the kid with a bright smile.
''hi there little guy. What are you doing here? Company for somebody?" Asked Yusuke
''Oh no I´m here to take the hunter exam.'' Said him.
''Really. How old are you?' Asked Yusuke very impressed.
''I´m thirteen.'' Said the kid
''Still a little too young for me.'' Said Yusuke with a laugh
''Oh, don't worry. I´m not weak, I know what to do.'' Said him
''You are really optimistic little guy.'' Said Yusuke
''Yeah.'' Said him

Two legends from the same mind finally meet.
A new adventure begins. Quick history with me and Yu Yu Hakusho, I watch when was on the air at night and kind liked. Forgot about the years and revisited on my teen's years, and I got say is still pretty good. Now that I discover that both this and Hunter X Hunter come from the same guy who better way than have Yuske and the gang participate of the Hunter Exam. And I know the Urb is not gonna be relevant until the Succession War arc but until them this artifact is somewhere on the Kakin empire where the fat bastard of his ruler is gonna plan his little Game of Throne with his kids. Now is up to the gang to stop this, see next time.
