Can Loki with the help of Jörmungandr defeat the Avengers?, an avengers fanfic

The ground shudders, the tesseract is behaving eerie. A filled with the smartest people have no explanation. The tesseract appears to be opening a portal, Loki the god of mischief appears. He obliterates the guards with a blow of his scepter. Hawkeye, who is protecting the tesseract tries to stab Loki but Loki figured it out and with the touch of his scepter, he hypnotizes Barton. While the god put others like doctor Selvig in a trance, Fury tries to sneak out with the one thing that Loki requires.

"Please don't, I still need that", says Loki

Where fury answers, "it doesn't need to get any messier".

"It does, I've come from too far, for nothing", declares the Asgardian god.

What follows, is Barton shooting Fury in the chest. Loki and his hypnotized army escape and go into hiding, not to be seen for several hours.

Fury gets up and takes off his bullet-pierced bulletproof vest. He goes to a radio transmitter and announces to agent Hill that this is a level 7 breach and the avenger initiative needs to be activated immediately

The Avengers meet for the first time in a Helicarrier, an advanced flying command center owned by S.H.I.E.L.D.. Doctor Banner and captain America get briefed by Fury and Agent Coulson. After the briefing, Black Widow shows doctor Banner his lab full of the latest gadgets. Captain America sticks around in the command center where Coulson asks him to sign his trading card collection. Captain America thinks it is a little strange but does it anyway.

A couple minutes later, cameras catch Loki's face in Germany. That is where captain America will head to next. When he gets on German ground, he tries to catch Loki. Captain America is no match for Loki but then Iron Man comes to the rescue. After a couple of left hooks from cap and a repulsor blast from Iron Man is it clear that Loki is no match for the two and gives up. The two avengers escort him to the jet where they meet Thor, the brother of Loki. He demands the transfer of Loki to Asgard. The Avengers refuse but they will transfer Loki when they find Barton and doctor Selvig. When they arrived with their jet on the Helicarrier, a giant snake-like creature leaps out of the Pacific Ocean. It destroys one of the four propellers and causes the carrier to plummet. All the people on board rush to the pods which guarantee their safety. Thor and Iron man decide to take on the huge monster but they couldn't hurt it and it escapes with Loki on its back.

Thor recognizes the huge serpent, it was one of Loki's children, Thor's nephew, Jörmungandr.

The Avengers, now joined by Thor Odinson and Iron Man are looking for Loki. After several hours of searching and scanning video footages, the Avengers found Loki in New York. The footage shows that he is standing on top of the newly-built Stark Tower. The Avengers didn't want to lose any time and sped to New York. While flying over the Bermuda triangle, Thor gets sniped by Jörmungandr. He stands up and orders the others to defend New York against whatever Loki is planning to do with it while he takes on the world serpent. The god of thunder remains battling against Jörmungandr but without harming his nephew much.

When the other Avengers arrive in New York, they see a blue beam shot into the fiery-red sky. It seems to open a portal, undead-like creatures appear raging out of the portal. They attack everything that they can see and cause absolute chaos. Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow are trying to save the civilians, and the others will try to reach Loki. In the meantime, Thor gives the world serpent a couple of hits but that's not enough. Jörmungandr strikes Thor to the ground and rips his left arm out of Thor's body. Hereafter Jörmungandr makes his way to New York and Thor is not moving anymore … . Afterward, Loki's child comes to New York and demolishes almost half of the buildings in New York. Tony reaches Loki at the top of his tower and they have a chat about Loki's plans with the Tesseract. Tony Stark wanted to make a move but before he could point a finger, he gets blasted away by Loki's scepter and falls from the top of his tower. Fortunately, he was expecting this and his leading-edge AI saves him. Tony concludes after hearing Loki's plans that defeating him is almost an impossible quest, the Chitauri army will keep coming in, there are too many civilians to save and too many buildings to protect. The avengers are on the edge of defeat.

UNTIL a rainbow colored beam comes falling from the fiery-red sky. When the beam hits the ground, a silhouette from a one-armed muscular man can be seen. It was Thor who had prayed to Odin and Heimdall, who on their part used the Bifrost to teleport him to New York and told him how to defeat Jörmungandr. The one-armed god seeks revenge and wants to keep his most beloved realm Midgard (earth) safe. He swings his hammer and wings his way to Jörmungandr. Thor calls lightning from the sky and gives strikes with an unseen force. At the same time, Stark reaches the god of mischief once again.

"We have an army", says Loki with confidence in his voice.

Upon which Iron Man answers, "and we have a hulk".

Then suddenly Hulk grabbed Loki's leg and showed him all the corners of the room. Loki was beaten but the portal, the army and Jörmungandr still roaming around New York. Thor has the answer to all, he explains the plan and flies with the world serpent on his tail to the portal. Hawkeye and Black widow make it to doctor Selvig with the Tesseract. Hawkeye hits Selvig on the head and pulls him out of his trance. Selvig explains how they can override the Tesseract and close the portal. At the same time, Thor flies into the portal with a part of his nephew because he is so huge. Thor communicates that it is time to close the portal but he is still in it. It's Thor's will, so Black Widow closes the portal while Hawkeye protects her from Chitauri attacks. Jörmungandr head is chopped off by the closed portal and the Chitauri lose contact with their mother ships. Now it was Hulk's job to pick off the remaining undead creatures. The Chitauri are all dead or captured for research but there is no sign of Thor. It seems that he made the big sacrifice. When suddenly a civilian comes to the avengers and says, "a man fell from heaven right, just like a 'malak', he lays in front of my restaurant". They go and have a look and the 'malak' (angel) is Thor. Tony gives him a little wake-up-shock. Thor wakes up and they all cheer. The restaurant owner runs a pita restaurant, and gives the avengers a free meal for their heroic deeds.

Loki is captured and his Jörmungandr is defeated. The world has been saved by the world's mightiest heroes, the Avengers.
