Hiya everyone Lancaster week has officially begun! Well, it started for me 11 hours ago but I was too busy to edit the chapter until recently so now I'll be posting this with less than an hour before the day for it ends. But yeah day 17th is shy Jaune and so my brain came up with this I hope that you all enjoy.

His palms were sweaty, was one of the main things that Jaune was thinking of as he left his dorm. His knees felt weak and shaky. But he didn't want to let that stop him and so he quickly swallowed his nervousness wishing that his mouth didn't feel so dry.

The walk from his dorm to team RWBY's dorm felt surprisingly difficult, each step felt heavier than the last, it was strange though he had been a student at beacon for about a year now and he had taken this walk countless times so it shouldn't have felt this difficult. But it was. A deep blush was on his face that he couldn't get rid of as he knocked the door.

Jaune didn't even feel this nervous back in his first year when he was trying to pursue Weiss. now that really didn't go all that well, at least she seems happy with Sun nowadays. "Coming" a voice called back to him before the door opened to reveal Weiss, which was fitting considering he was just thinking of her. "Oh, hey Jaune." she would quickly greet not massively enthusiastic as she looked to him.

They were getting along a lot better than they used to back when they first met but they still weren't close, it could get pretty awkward considering that they were kind of just mutual friends because their teams were so close. "Hey so is Ruby here?" Jaune quickly asked not wanting to take too much of her time.

"Yeah, she's just asleep." Weiss told Jaune with a sigh making him pause in surprise as he looked to Weiss.

"Asleep? It's 2pm." Jaune said perplexedly as he processed what Weiss had said. He knew that her sleep schedule could be pretty bad but he didn't know that it was still this bad.

"She stayed up till 5am playing this new game that she ordered recently, there was something about androids and how she needed to save them." Weiss said with an exasperated smile before she lifted her hand up for him to give her a minute as the door was quickly shut behind her.

Being left alone to his thoughts Jaune awkwardly rubbed his hands together as he tried to sync himself up for what he was about to do. His thoughts were disturbed when he heard the sound of something falling followed by a loud groan and then muffled voices before the door was opened to reveal Ruby on the other side.

She was noticeably half asleep and still dressed in her pyjama's, leaning against the door frame Ruby quickly gave him a tired smile. "Hey Jaune, what could I do for you?" Ruby asked him as he smile grew a little when she talked to him, making him blush as he looked at her before he lost what little confidence he had as he had to look away from her again.

"This was so much easier in my head." he mumbled to himself making Ruby look to him in curiosity.

"Sorry, what was that?" she'd ask him with a tilted head, her smile getting a little more lopsided.

"Oh, that's nothing doesn't worry about it." Jaune quickly told her with a wobbly chuckle before he made himself stretch as he looked back to her. Do it quick like you have a wobbly tooth to pull out, he'd tell himself before stepping closer to Ruby as he summed up his courage. "I was wondering if you would want to go out with me later today, or maybe not today tomorrow could work or anyway that your free I really don't want to impose. But I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me and then we could go to a restaurant or maybe we could go bowling, or to the movies. Wait no I've already said that."

It took a couple seconds for Ruby's tired brain to process Jaune's series of word vomit before in a flash of speed leaned forward as she silenced him by grabbed onto his lips with her hands "let's get this over with dream Jaune." she would told him with a light blush as she looked to him. This had kind of been a reoccurring dream that she was had been cursed with for quite a while and while it wasn't unpleasant by itself waking up the next day to realise it had been just a dream had started to get kind of upsetting to her.

The way dream Jaune would ask her out would vary, she could even remember one weird dream where he had turned up on top of a donkey before whisking her away with him in front of all her classmates from Signal. But no matter how different her dreams would begin they would always end the same way.

At the worst timing!

Right before they would share a kiss, her first kiss to be exact. She would wake up alone making her scream into her pillow and she had gotten pretty fed up with it all. Looking up at dream Jaune with an unimpressed look Ruby quickly shook her head much to Jaune's sorrow.

I guess she just doesn't feel the same way, Jaune thought saddened as he wished that he had held his tongue. This hurt a lot more then he was fearing but he really didn't expect her to be so harsh about this.

"Kiss me!" she'd ordered him making Jaune quickly look back at her in shock as his mood went from sadness and a sense of unease to hope and nervousness.

"Err what?" he'd quickly ask her with a blush as he looked back at her, his eyes quickly going down her face to glance at her lips as he imagined kissing her.

"It's just going to end before we get to kiss so let's just get this over and kiss already." she told him making the blonde just get even more confused not having a clue what she was talking about. "Fine I'll do it!" she snapped before grabbing his collar and pulling him down towards her as she tried to kiss him.

Jaune was too shocked to fight her as he let his body go limp trusting her to not go too far or to hurt him. Besides this was Ruby the girl that he had liked for months kissing her was something he had imagined doing more then he would like to admit. When her soft lips roughly pressed against his, Jaune felt his mind go blank as he stopped thinking of anything but her lips against his.

He was lost in her warmth, the feeling of her skin against his, the slight pain of her fingers digging into his shoulders and the smell of roses that always seemed to be around her. It was better than he could have ever imagined.

When she felt his lips press back against hers Ruby quickly paused in shock as she stood still, this wasn't what she was expecting, the dream was supposed to end!

Opening her eyes as she slowly pulled away from him Ruby had a deep blush on her face as she looked back to him "this isn't a dream." she said in embarrassed realisation as she remembered how she'd forced him to kiss her before they even had their date.

"I think this might be a dream." was Jaune's dumb reply as he looked to her star stuck, a deep blush on his face as he remembered the feeling of her lips against his.
