It Will Get Better

Sasha hisses in pain. Her head swims, her vision as hazy as ever. Her head feels like its about to explode. So much happened in the last few hours, she almost died, she lost her eye, she got to see Anne again only for the last sound she head to be Anne screaming her name as her world went black.

Now she was in Anne's old bed in the Plantar's house. Alone.

She turns to the nightstand where a glass of water sits. The blonde reaches for it but knocks it down, spilling the water all over the floor, "Shit." Sasha frowned. The movement sent hot pain into her eye. She pressed her hand over it, hissing in pain. She could feel warmth spilling into her hand. She removed it from her eye to see it covered with blood, "Shit."

"Sasha?" Sasha gasped at the sound of Anne's voice. She turned to the entrance to the basement, "Oh my frog, Sasha! You're bleeding!" The brunette hurried down and grabbed fresh bandages from the night stand. Things between them were still awkward, the two only having hours to talk before Adrias's forces attacked.

Anne looked at the spilled water then back at Sasha. Sasha said nothing. Anne sat at the edge of the bed, slowly reaching for the bloody bandage. Wordlessly she began untangling it, until it fell away revealing the bleeding gash running over Sasha's right eye, or what used to be her right eye.

"Can you..." Anne's voice trailed off. Sasha grit her teeth and shook her head no. Anne's eyes filled with tears. Damn it. Sasha didn't like to see her or Marcy crying. It always made her chest hurt. Like it did right now.

Anne began cleaning the wound the best she knew how. Sasha still didn't say anything. No clever words, no fighting words, no jokes. No nothing. She just let Anne do her thing. After the wound was clean she began to bandage her up again. Sasha wanted to take her hands in hers, to pull her into a hug, to tell her how sorry she was for everything, to tell her she cares. But she couldn't. Not right now. Or she was scared she might actually break. Anne didn't need to deal with that on top of everything else.

"There. A doctor is gonna stop by later. Don't put any more pressure on it ok?" Sasha just nodded. Anne picked up the bloody bandage, throwing it in the trash and washing her hands from the blood.

She looked back at Sasha who just sat there, not moving, with her head lowered. Sighing Anne began walking back upstairs. "Anne." Sasha's voice stopped her in her tracks and she turned. Now Sasha was looking at her, "Thank you." She looked like she was about to say something else but didn't.

Anne smiled, "No problem Sash." Anne gave a little waive which Sasha slowly returned. After Anne closed the door Sasha fell back on the bed. Maybe, just maybe, this will get better. Somehow.
