"Blaze-Eyes Sun Dragon, attack him directly!" A mighty dragon unleashed a blast of fire. Two young duelists were dueling each other and one of them just got blasted and lost the duel.

"Oh man, Yukin. You got me again." The defeated duelist said to his opponent. This man is Yukin Sakuma. He's fifteen years old and great duelist. He had black spikey hair with blue edges. He wore a simple white shirt with a blue jacket that rolled up his arms and wore navy blue pants.

"That was a good duel, Siegrain." Yukin said. Siegrain Seas was a close friend of Yukin's. He had blue hair and wore white pants that had orange stripes on the side with a matching jacket that had a cross on the back. He also wore a blue shirt and had a chain pierced through his left ear with a small prism on it.

"Not bad. You two get better the more you duel." A girl said as she came in.

"Thanks, Zoey." Siegrain said. Zoey Baxter, another old friend of Yukin's that had magenta hair with it in pigtails She wore a grey blouse with a white stripe down the center and had a green tie with it. She also wore a red skirt with navy blue leggings. All three of them are inspiring young duelists that aim to be the best.

"By the way, Yukin, my dad says he wants to talk to you." Zoey said.

"Oh brother. Is he going to do something crazy again?" Yukin asked.

"Probably, but he says it's about our school." Zoey said. Yukin sighed with annoyance and went anyway.

'My name is Yukin Sakuma and this is my story.' The city that Yukin and his friends live in is known as Merge City. It's a city with several facilities that are tied to dueling and much more. Many inspiring duelists are trying to go pro. Yukin and his friends are no different as they attend the True Duel School. The problem is that their school is small and not well-known.

"Listen up! We really need to turn up the heat!" Zoey's father said. Mr. Baxter wore red sweats with flames on them. He also had a flame hairstyle. "True Duel School is a great school. We teach the fundamentals of dueling. We teach how to have fun in dueling. So, tell me one thing. Why is it we only have five students?!"

"No need to shout." Zoey said.

"Listen, we need to find a way to get more people to attend this school." Mr. Baxter said. "Yukin, any ideas?"

"What are you asking me for?" Yukin said with annoyance.

"Yukin, your father was the one that started this school. You've got to do what you can to help it." Mr. Baxter said.

"Dad!" Zoey said. "Careful. You know Yukin's sensitive about his father."

"Forget it, Zoey." Yukin said. "My father may have started the school, but I have no idea how to get more students in."

"Maybe we need to appeal to the younglings." Mr. Baxter said. "Zoey, where's your sister and Augustus?"

"Here we are!" Two kids came in, a boy and girl, appeared to be ten. Zoey's sister had red hair that went to her shoulders with a hairband. She wore a pink striped shirt with a yellow shirt over it. She also wore black leggings with a red skirt. Augustus had short blonde hair with a green shirt and suspenders for his orange pants.

"Alyssa, what were you and Augustus doing?" Zoey asked.

"Someone came to the front door." Alyssa said.

"He says he here to see Yukin." Augustus said.

"Yukin?" Siegrain said.

"Hello there." They all notice someone coming in. He wore a yellow and black stripped dress clothes with combed black hair and shades. "This is True Duel School, isn't it?"

"Yeah. Who are you?" Yukin asked.

"Wait. I know you." Siegrain said. "You're Nemo Smalls. You manage several duelists and help them go pro."

"That would be correct." Nemo said. "I manage several duelists, mostly those who attend LID, Legends In Duel, the largest and most successful duel school in the entire city."

"So, what are you doing here?" Yukin asked.

"As I stated, I manage several duelists and I'm looking for a new project." Nemo said. "I figured, who would be better than the son of the infamous Yokon Sakuma, Yukin Sakuma."

"Me? You want me to become your new pet project?" Yukin said.

"That's right." Nemo said as he handed Yukin his card. "Your father was not only a well-known duelist, but he was also known for creating the reality generators. As you know, reality generators generate special duel fields and allows us to interact with the holographic projections of your cards as if they were real. I think it's time that his only son steps into the spotlight. I already have the perfect duelist in mind to take your first step in becoming a pro. I have you set to face Bone Crusher."

"Bone Crusher?!" Yukin said as he knew who that was.

"Yes. The duelist your father was suppose to duel against before what happened." Nemo said. "You're all set to duel him tomorrow. What do you say?"

"Wait just a minute. This is all coming in pretty fast for Yukin." Mr. Baxter said. "You can't just come in here and ask him to duel like this."

"For his cooperation, I'm willing to give this rundown school the latest state of the art reality generator." Nemo offered.

"Yukin, you've got to take it! A reality generator would really help this school!" Nemo said.

"Dad!" Zoey shouted at him. "You can't let him say our school is a rundown. Besides, Yukin needs to think this over."

"What's there to think about?" Mr. Baxter said.

"Daddy..." Alyssa said.

"Yukin's gone." Augustus said. All of them looked and saw Yukin slipped away while they were talking. Someone else noticed too, a young boy properly dressed with blue hair.

Yukin

Yukin had a lot to think about. He went over to a bridge and thought a lot about his father. His father was his idol, his hero. He stayed where he was and stared at Merge City's Arena.

'Dad...' Yukin thought. 'It's been about ten years since you disappeared.' He thought about his father a lot. Yokon Sakuma was a famous duelist for his skills and his invention. The fact he disappeared was unsettling to some. 'You were all set to duel the Bone Crusher, but it happened. You were at your personal warehouse and it caught on fire.' He remembered seeing the smoke and flames from the burning building with Yukin's mother holding him back. 'You disappeared in that fire and everyone thinks you're gone for good. After you disappeared, things weren't the same. I had to do a lot of growing up. I also found this.' He pulled out a strange medal tied around his neck. It was blue, but it appeared to be broken in half. 'I don't know what this thing is, but I do believe that if I find the other half, I would find the truth of what happened to you. Now a chance for me to start going pro is here. What do I do?' Yukin went through a hard time without his father and his father disappearing scarred him. He duels to find the truth, but he also wants to uphold his father's beliefs of dueling for the love of it and to pursue one's dreams. He might already know what to do.

The Next Day

Hearing that Bone Crusher would be dueling against Yukin Sakuma, son of Yokon, drew a crowd. Many people gathered at Merge City's Arena to see this. Inside the arena was a castle surrounded by land and water.

"So Yokon's son is going to duel me? He better live up to his father." Bone Crusher said as he stood at the top of the castle, with a German accent. Bone Crusher was a big guy as he wore black armor and had a black mohawk with him having a skull painted over his face. People were looking forward to seeing this. As for Zoey and the others of True Duel, they entered the stands to see this.

"I wonder what made Yukin decide to do this." Zoey said.

"Well, he never backs down from a challenge." Siegrain said.

"He better win. This way, we'll get plenty of more students." Mr. Baxter said.

"Dad, I think Yukin's wellbeing might be more important." Zoey said.

"Chipper as always, aren't you, Eli?" All of them looked behind them and was met with Yukin's mother. A beautiful woman with blue hair tied back with a yellow ribbon. She just sore a simple teal shirt with jeans.

"Hi, Yuzu. Are you here to see your son blow away his competition?" Eli said.

"Why else would she be here?" Alyssa said.

"I was worried about Yukin when I heard about this." Yuzu said. "However, I know my son. I know he'll be fine."

"Here we go folks!" Nemo called as he was acting as the MC. "This is where a young duelist makes his debut and takes his first step into going pro. It's pro-duelist Bone Crusher vs. Yukin Sakumo! Are you ready?!" All of them cheered as they were excited for this. "They'll be dueling on the field known as Castle Grounds. Bone Crusher is all set. Now, let's welcome the man of the hour. He's young, but he's fierce. Here's...Yukin Sakuma!" Explosions of smoke went off by the entrance with confetti. All of them looked at the entrance, but there was no one there. "Huh?"

"Where is he?" Zoey asked.

"That's weird." Siegrain said. Everyone was wondering where he could be.

"Ha! Has the little baby runoff?!" Boner said as he laughed at the humiliation.

"I'm right behind you, Bone Head."

"It's Bone Crusher!" He claimed as he turned around and was faced with Yukin.

"Oh! There he is!" Nemo said. Everyone spotted him and it looks like they were going to get a duel.

"I'm not one for a flashy entrance, but I never backdown from a duel." Yukin said.

"You should have. You would have been humiliated either way." Bone said.

"Well, let's do this." Yukin said as he took out a phone-like device. It expanded and attached to his wrist as he placed his deck in it and an energy wing came out. Bone Crusher used the same kind of device.

"They're duel disks are locked in and they're both ready to go!" Nemo said. "We're getting a duel! So let's get go!"

"Let's duel!" Both of them said as they had 4000LP.

"I'll make the first move!" Yukin said as he ran towards the edge of the balcony and jumped. That's the point of these special fields. They're to make duels look more exciting with the duelists roaming freely and interacting with their cards. "I summon Beast Tri-Cycle in attack mode!" Yukin landed on a three-wheel motorcycle with a beast face and 800atk points. He grabbed it by a set of horns and rode around on it. "I place one card facedown and end my turn."

"Is that all?! Pathetic." Bone said as he drew his card. "Watch how real men duel. I summon Mammoth Graveyard." Bone summoned his monster and it rose with 1200atk points. "Next, I activate Ground Breaker. This spell gives an earth monster 600 attack points until my next turn." His skeletal mammoth gained attack points and it went to 1800. "Begin the stampede!" His mammoth charged right at Yukin and smashed against his ride, but Yukin regained his balance even if his life points dropped to 3000. "What gives? The puny monster did not go."

"That's because of his special ability." Yukin said. "When Beast Tri-Cycle is in attack mode, it can't be destroyed by one attack. It needs to be attack twice."

"Very well. I place two cards facedown to end my turn." Bone said.

"A shaky start for Yukin, but the duel is just starting. Let's see what else he can do." Nemo announced.

"Watch!" Yukin said as he drew his card. "My ride has one other ability. It can be used as two monsters for a tribute summon." He jumped off and made the sacrifice. "I tribute Beast Tri-Cycle and and summon Blaze-Eyes Sun Dragon!" In his monster's place came a yellow dragon that shined like the sun with actual fire in it's red eyes and had 2500atk points.

"Nice. He's already summoned one of his best." Zoey said.

"But his best might not be enough against Bone Crusher." Siegrain said.

"Blaze-Eyes Sun Dragon, take out Mammoth Graveyard with Corona Flame!" Yukin said. His dragon unleashed a large fireball and blasted the mammoth. Bone's life points dropped down to 3300. "Next comes my dragon's ability. Since he just destroyed your monster, you take damage equal to half your monster's attack points." His dragon unleashed another blast of fire and Bone's life points dropped to 2500.

"Do you really think I let you take away my life points that easily?" Bone said. "I activate my trap: Eye for an Eye! This trap brings back all the life points I lost from your last attack."

"What?!" Yukin said. Bone's life points rose back up to 4000.

"There's more. You take damage equal to half the life points I regained." Bone said. An energy blast came at Yukin and blasted him as his life points dropped to 2250. "Anything else you like to try, little man?"

"No. I end my turn." Yukin said.

"Ooh! Yukin had the lead, but Bone Crusher just took it from him. There might be more pain coming his way." Nemo said.

"My turn!" Bone said as he drew his next card. "I play my trap: Reconstruct Resurrect! It brings back a monster in my graveyard into defense mode with zero defense points, but it's trapped there." His Mammoth Graveyard came back with zero defense points.

"I don't think I like where this is going." Yukin said.

"Now, I send one card to the graveyard. That allows me to special summon Skeletal Crush!" He summoned a skeletal armored warrior with a large hammer. Bone Crusher jumped down and landed on the monster. "This monster is why I am known as Bone Crusher. I activate Gift of the Martyr. By sending one of my monsters back to the grave, another one gains it's power. Auf wiedersehen, Mammoth Graveyard." His mammoth disappeared and his Skeletal Crush went to 3300atk points. "Strike!" His monster went on the attack and smashed it's hammer against Yukin's dragon. Yukin felt the shockwaves as his life points dropped to 1450. "There's more. Each time it destroys a monster, you take 400 points of damage." His monster swung his hammer at Yukin and he got hit as his life points dropped to 1050.

"Yukin!" Zoey called as his friends got worried about him.

"Ha! You're Yokon's son? You can't possibly win with your limited skills." Bone mocked as his monster's attack points returned to normal.

"This is not looking good for Yukin. Is there really anyway he can get out of this?" Nemo said, but it really wasn't looking good.

'I don't have anything in my hand at the moment that could beat that thing.' Yukin thought as this wasn't looking good for him. 'What do I do?' Yukin tried to think of something until he thought about his father. 'Dad, wouldn't quit. I won't either. There has to be a way. Dueling is suppose to bring people together and I will never stop as long as I keep fighting.' He grabbed the broken medallion under his shirt and kept that belief. That's when something strange happened as he felt a weird sensation. "What's happening?" He questioned.

"Let them come together as one." Somehow, three brand new cards appeared in front of Yukin, cards he's never seen before. Something came over Yukin.

"It's my turn!" Yukin said as he drew his next card. "First, I'm summoning Swordfish Fencer!" He summoned a small blue cartoon-like creature holding two large swordfish as swords and it had 800atk points. "Next, I'm activate my Variation spell. This allows me to summon multiple monsters that are of different attributes. Appear, Crater Cobra and Abyss Kraken!" He summoned a brown cobra with a crater on it's hood with 1700atk points and large blue squid with 2000atk points. "I activate Abyss Kraken's ability. When it's summoned, one monster in my graveyard comes back. Rise again, Blaze-Eyes Sun Dragon!" His kraken reached inside a vortex and brought back his dragon.

"Whatever you're planning won't work." Bone said.

"It will. The time has come." Yukin said. "I fuse together the forces of fire and water! Come together as one!" A spiral of fire came around his dragon and a spiral of water came around the kraken. The two of them came together and a bright light shined. "I elemental summon a sapphire attribute. Rise, Sapphire Serapho!" Yukin summoned a brand new monster. A blue monster with blue flames emerging from it's body and stretching to his shoulders. It's eyes also appeared to be covered, like wearing a mask with only it's mouth visible. No one has ever seen that before.

"How did he do that?" Zoey said. A new way of summoning has been revealed. This opens the doorway to many possibilities.
