hello everyone! Welcome to 'Within These Walls'. This is a patrochilles fanfiction, which is not what i am used to. I have read The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller , and i adore the book so much.
I know there are plenty of greek mythology versions , stories , books. But for the sake of the story , i am using Madeline Miller's version of Patroclus and Achilles.
I really wanted to make an au for TSOA because I just cannot get enough of Madeline Miller's book , so this is dedicated to every song of achilles readers!
note :
- at the moment i do not have a set date to upload nor do i plan on uploading new chapters every week. i decided to just update whenever i feel is right.
- everyone in this story is in their early 20s, so please do not start an argument with me over this topic. In the Illiad and The Song Of Achilles , they were probably almost thirty to fourty but i needed to change that fact to make everything appropriate.
- I know that Odysseus is married , but for this fanfiction i decided to make him 'not married' . Penelope ( originally his wife) will be his childhood sweet heart. More of his back story will be revealed as the chapters progresses , as well as other characters.
- you are free to imagine how you want the characters to look like , feel free to use your own preferences!
- this story will also be available on FFN @/amqrtntia , if you want to listen to this as a 'podcast' since FFN does include the 'listen' option! I am not sure if I will post this on AO3 , yet. But i will update if i do!
- since this will be an LGBT story , i do apologise in advance if i wrote something i shouldn't or if i made any mistakes. please do not hesitate to point out or correct my mistakes! I am not apart of the community itself but i have done plenty of research for this story.
