It was the night after Prawn, and Wyatt, Willa, Wynter and the rest of the Wolf P Pack were trying to sleep in their den. Normally they'd be up late, but they'd become tired out from the previous day's craziness. However, Wyatt couldn't fall asleep. He suddenly saw a strange blue light coming from the entrance to the den. What was that? he thought to himself. He quietly got up and walked outside. A strange blue object was falling from the sky and landed near Addison's apartment in Seabrook. Is that another Moonstone? No, it couldn't be, could it? Without hesitation he began sprinting through the Forbidden Forest, then down a few roads to where the apartment was. Sure enough, a blue rock had landed near the house. He walked over and noticed it had fallen near Addison's window. It was another Moonstone. Wyatt knew what he had to do. I need to tell the Wolf Pack about this, and Addison, But first I need to hide it. He knew anyone who saw could take it and use it's magical energy for something, and he wasn't about to let another Moonstone get stolen from his pack. The Moonstone in this case was much smaller than the one from the power plant, and Wyatt easily picked up and hid it under the bushes. Then he began his sprint back to the den. On the way back he thought up a plan. I'll tell Willa and Wynter about this when we get up in morning. then I'll tell Addison when I see her at school. He made it to the den very quickly and snuck back to bed. Willa and Wynter never even noticed he had left.
Later that morning, Addison woke up and looked over at her clock. It read 7:15 am. She had slept in later than normal! She only had 10 minutes to get ready and out the door. She quickly got dressed in a pastel pink top and jeans, then brushed her hair and put it up in a messy bun hairstyle, and put on socks and then laced up her white sneakers. She grabbed her backpack, then picked up the bronze box holding the Moonstone necklace and put it inside, put on a couple leather bracelets the wolves had made for her, got her phone off the charger and rushed to the kitchen. Her mom and dad had already gone to work. Addison looked at the clock. It read 7:20. She had five minutes until the bus would arrive. She quickly got a bowl out the cupboard and made some oatmeal. While it was in the microwave she got some fresh strawberries out of the fridge and some yogurt and made a quick smoothie. She poured it into a glass just as the oatmeal finished. She looked at the clock again. 7:22 am. She sat on one of the stools at that kitchen island and ate as quickly as she could. She finished just as the clock struck 7:24 am. She put the dish and glass in the sink and rushed outside to see the bus just pulling up by the bus stop. She ran as fast as possible and made it just in time. She sat up front next to her best friend Bree. Zed was sitting towards the back with Eliza and Bonzo. Addison didn't see any of the wolf pack on the bus. Just the rest of the cheerleaders, football team, and the remaining students that sat on bus number one. Bucky and the Acey's weren't on the bus, because Bucky had bought a van and drove the Acey's to school now that he'd became Class President. Addison was actually kind of happy to not see Bucky on the bus anymore. And because he'd won the election, Addison was now the leader of the cheer squad. She and Bree began talking about the Prawn.
"I'm so glad Bonzo was able to come after all!" Bree began gushing about Bonzo. She definitely had feelings for the zombie, and was studying up on Zombie language, since it was the only language Bonzo knew.
Addison just sat there, happy for her friend, but deep down she was worried. The anti-monster laws were still in place, and she hadn't spoken to her mom, the Mayor of Seabrook, since the werewolves and zombies snuck into Prawn. Could Bucky have told her yet? Addison thought to herself. Her annoying cousin saw them sneak in after all. She hoped that something good was come after all. Besides, they'd saved the power plant, and now had Zed's dad Zevon and the demo team on her side. Her dad was there though, but she hadn't heard anything else from him either.
Meanwhile, Zed was quietly talking to Eliza.
"Does Addison know why you're Z-Band is broken yet?" Eliza asked.
"No," Zed said quietly. "I only said it was broken, that I took the necklace, and that I lost the election. I never told her why my Z-Band is broken."
"You need to tell her Zed." Eliza said. She knew he had to. Addison and the werewolves needed to know.
"The Wolf Pack will be so mad though if they found out I possibly drained the energy out of the necklace from my fear of Addison becoming a werewolf." Zed said quietly. "If I tell her who knows what will happen."
"She'll get mad, tell the Wolf Pack, reharge the necklace, become the Alpha, break up with you for sabotaging her chance at finding who she is, then end up with... " Eliza began.
"That too good looking werewolf Wyatt." Zed finished for her, interrupting her sentence, showing he was mad already.
"I was gonna say more than that, but sure." Eliza said. She looked at Zed. "Are you still jealous?"
"Maybe a little." Zed said. "Prawn was so much fun though! And I helped to save the moonstone. They couldn't be that mad." He tried hard to convince himself the werewolves were good. Deep down he knew if he and Addison ended up not together that Wyatt would be her next choice. Zed tried to take his mind off of it, but it was hard not to.
The bus pulled up to school and everyone rushed to their lockers to get ready for homeroom. Addison saw the Wolf Pack coming in the doors just in time. Wyatt walked over to where Addison stood. "I need to tell you something Addy." he said in a quiet voice.
Zed was just down the hallway by his locker. He looked over as Wyatt walked up to Addison. Eliza wrapped her arm around Zed to get him to turn around. "Let's go to class. It's going to be okay."
Earlier that morning the Wolf Pack had woken up. Wyatt went over to Willa and Wynter. "I need to tell you something." he said. They stepped out by the entrance to the den.
"I saw a strange blue light coming from outside and went out to see what it was." Wyatt explained. "It landed near Addison's so I followed it and..."
"You went after a strange blue light without us?" Willa said, interrupting.
"Let me finish." Wyatt said. "It was a Moonstone. It landed right next to Addison's apartment."
"Did you hide it?" Wynter burst out. "Because someone could take it, use it for energy for something, spill fruit punch or something, then turn into..."
Willa gave Wynter the look.
"Too much? " Wynter asked. "Sorry. Bad wolf, bad wolf."
"Yes. I hid it in the bushes." Wyatt said. "This has to mean something."
"Do you think something happened to the necklace after Zed stole it? " Willa asked.
"I don't know. He never said." Wyatt said. "However a Moonstone stolen by someone who doesn't know the proper use of it could accidentally..."
"Drain it's energy. " Willa finished.
"Sabotage!" Wynter shouted. "Sorry, again."
"I don't think Zed would do that to Addison though, would he?" Wyatt asked.
No one knew what to say. They still didn't know much about the zombies nor the humans. Just that their kind stole their source of energy from them. There was still a chance someone could sabotage someone becoming the Alpha.
"Anyway, I need to talk to Addison about the Moonstone, and see if anything strange happened last night." Wyatt said.
"Sounds like a plan." Willa said. " Let me know what she says. "
The Wolf Pack began their sprint to the school.
