Senior Prom night was a night that most looked forward to, it was a night where you were to spend the last nights of the freedoms of High School, before the whole of the class went off to college or into the workforce. Tests had already been done for them, scores posted and as always Eddward was at the top of the class with scores that put most of the class to shame. Though normally he would get those same scores, just due to the fact that he was a studious student, this time he had a deal with parents. That deal was simple, should he get top of his class by a high margin he would be allowed to go to prom with the girl of his choosing; though this changed just a few days beforehand.
Why? The answer was simple: they did not approve of who he had chosen to take to the Prom.
The person in question was Marie Kanker, and as far as he could tell from checking on their computers they didn't look to see that she was on her way into the same college as he on an Art Scholarship. Nor did it take him long to find out who had told his parents about his choice, it was his good friend Ed's little sister, Sarah.
While at first angry, and with quite a bit of wrath and venom behind his voice, he told the girl off, and told her all the things that none had ever told her. He sent the young redhead into tears as he spoke, hitting her not with his hands but with his words and truth that she may or may not have known all her life. Just when his words were about to send the girl spirling down further than Edd wanted or should have pushed her; he felt a hand on both of his shoulders. His small chest heaving he would turn and saw Kevin and Nazz, both shaking their heads as the biggest of Ed's came over and picked up his sister, trying to comfort her with his words of kindness.
Taking another short breath he narrowed his eyes, still a bit of anger in them as he would start to cry a bit, knowing that the news had most likely reached Marie. As a few gathered around him, he spoke in a steady and conviction filled voice, "I'm going."
It was then that Double D set his plan in motion, the first thing was a simple text to Marie, "Save the last dance." He wasn't sure if he could promise more than that as he set up the plan, and it was to simply to make his parents go back to their normal ways of not being there for anything. Thanks to the fact that his parents were a reason for his OCD, he knew how long it would take for the plan to take action, and it was just enough time for the night of prom. He had only 48 hours to get things going, and he was going to have to make sure everything went off without a hitch.
