If Sophie didn't meet Fitz in the museum but met a different elf

What would have happened if Sophie met a different Elf first instead of Fitz? Would she still go to the Lost cities? Or would she stay in the Forbidden cities? How would it affect the story line?

This is a fanfic based on my top favorite author and book series(THE FIRST BOOK).

I thought of doing this fanfic as I sat down at my desk listening to a song called, "I'm coming out" By Diana Ross.

I was bored, but then the idea of a fanfic of one of my favorite stories popped up into my mind and so here is my first one.
