A/N: I know that I've got so many stories going at once; but this one just had to be written down. The ideas have been driving me crazy. I really hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. Let me know what you think.

Chapter 1:

The Good, Bad and Ugly

Three Months Ago

The sound of a piano playing echoed against the walls of the room. My fingers pressed down on the keys, solely focused on the music emulating from the larger instrument. Tears rolled down my cheeks, though I tried desperately not to let them show. It was hard for me to grasp everything that has happened over the last couple of years. It truly was a whirlwind of emotions. Both good and bad.

"Still falling, breathless and on again

Inside today, beside me today

Around, broken in two

Till your eyes shed into dust

Like two strangers turning into dust

Till my hand shook with the weight of fear." I sang, with no one there to hear her voice. No one could comment on whether or not it sounded good or not.

The song was interrupted by the sound of my cell phone vibrating against the wood of the piano. I quickly wiped away the stray tears from my cheeks and curled a chunk of my ginger red hair behind my ear. "Hello." I greeted.

"Is this Priya Davidson?" A male voice answered.

"It is."

"This is Tony Khan from All Elite Wrestling. I've watched the tryout video you sent in and I must say that I'm very impressed with your work."

Pushing the earlier sadness back, my olive eyes brightened upon hearing his words. "I appreciate the compliment." I said, moving to around the piano bench to face the rest of the room.

"You are welcome; but I called to see if you would like to come to Jacksonville and officially sign a contract with AEW."

"Absolutely! When would you like me to be there?"

"How does Friday around 11:30 sound?"

"I'll be there."

I was absolutely ecstatic with the news. This was my first major signing away from the smaller indie shows. Ending the call, I stood up and twirled in excitement; but that's when the reality set in. I would have to work under the same brand as the man who tore my heart out and fed it to the wolves a few years prior.

If I was honest with myself, I only sent the tryout video to AEW just to see what the response would be. I really didn't think they would call me back let alone offer me a contract. The past was the past and enough time has passed by, perhaps there wouldn't be any issues when I became a part of the roster.

Present Day

I leaned against the cool wall near the women's locker-room holding my phone in my hand. My ginger red hair was curled in large loose waves down my back. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and soon stopped on a photo of Cody and Brandi together. My heart skipped a beat; but not in a good way. It brought me back to the negativity that had surrounded my past.

Quickly closing the app, I lifted my head up only to see Brandi walking in my direction. She was dressed in a pair of distressed jean shorts and a red crop tank top. White boots reached her knees and her beautiful dark hair was pulled back into a high ponytail. Our eyes connected for a moment as she stopped walking right in front of me.

"Hello Priya." She said with a bright smile on her face.

"Is there something you needed?" I questioned, sliding my phone into the back pocket of my camouflage capri's.

"You've been here for two months now and you have yet to speak to me or Cody unless you've needed to. Is there something wrong? Did we do something to upset you?"

I blinked several times, trying to make sure that the questions had really been asked. The subject was one that I really hadn't planned on talking about; but I supposed if there was any time to talk about it, now was the time. "As far as you two go professionally, you've done nothing to upset me. I'm very happy here as part of the women's division. I was thrilled to get the call from Tony about signing me."

"That's wonderful to hear."

"However, personally it's just best I don't speak to Cody. We have history and not exactly a pleasant one."

Her eyes widened as if she finally understood what I was saying. I wondered if Brandi knew about that fact that Cody had cheated on me with her. Judging from the look on her face, I would say 'yes'. "I never knew who it was. He never gave me a name. I am so sorry for what happened."

"Not your fault and I have nothing against you."

I walked out around her and continued on down the hall. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jake Roberts talking to another new signee. Lance Archer. He was probably 6'7 or 6'8 in height. His darker brown hair was weaved with long red braided dread like extensions. He also had several tattoos on his arms. I couldn't tell if there were any more since he was wearing a black t-shirt.

A whistle escaped the older man's lips in my direction. I quickly whirled around and stood inches away from him, ready to strike. "Wanna do that again?" I questioned, my voice laced with venom.

"You've got fire in those eyes. You've been through some shit, huh?" Jake questioned.

"None of your business. I don't care if you are a hall of famer, you whistle at me again and I'll knock teeth down your throat."

Lance grinned at my response and pulled his manager back a couple inches away from me. My eyes were still narrowed and if looks could kill, Jake would be dead. I had no time for childish perverted old men who thought whistling at women was a good thing. "Excuse Jake, he's out of touch with the ladies. Priya right?" Lance commented.

"Yeah."

"You do have fire in those eyes. I can tell that you want success and a beautiful woman like yourself should have no problem getting it."

"Flirting with me isn't going to get you anywhere with me. I gave my heart to the wrong person and I'll never trust another man again; but by all means, keep trying."

Lance snickered at my remarks; but he remained quiet. Shaking my head, I kept on walking down the hall where Tony's office was. He had requested a meeting with me at 4 p.m and I had arrived at the arena far too early to show up. During that time, I had one awkward conversation with the woman Cody cheated on me with, dealt with a perverted old man whistling at me and cut a monster down to size for flirting with me. I was feeling pretty accomplished.

Balling up my fist, I knocked on the door loudly. Tony answered the door after a few seconds. He welcomed me inside and motioned his hand towards the chairs placed in front of his desk.

"Good to see you, Priya."

"Same."

"So some things have been brought to my attention and I wanted to speak to you about it."

I held up my hand almost immediately, stopping him from speaking further. Somehow I just knew what this conversation was going to entail. Instead of feeling sad about the past, I was starting to feel anger. "Let me guess, this is about Cody."

"He mentioned that there was tension between you, Brandi and him."

"I wouldn't call it tension. Listen, I won't cause any problems; but my past with Cody was ugly and I'd rather leave it in the past."

"I know; but I actually think it could be used in the upcoming Lance Archer/Cody feud. I'd like for you to work with Jake and Lance."

Taking a moment to really think about what he was suggesting, I secretly wanted to play a bad guy onscreen and this was a perfect opportunity to play the role. Though I wasn't too keen on working with Jake after his earlier actions, I also knew that I could learn alot from him considering he was a Hall of Famer.

Letting out a sigh, I looked back up from the floor to meet Tony's eyes fully. His head was tilted to the side, his expression was that of concern. "Okay, we can do that. I've kind of always wanted to play a bad guy. The people love Cody, so I will be viewed as the villain in the story."

"I'm hoping this will help both of you to move past the issues. This is a family and we all respect each other. What happened between the two of you happened before this company came into existence, so please do your best to put it behind you."

"I'll try, that much I can promise."

"Thank you."

He shook my hand and I got up to leave the office. Cody was outside the door when I opened it. His blue eyes connected with mine immediately. He cleared his throat before opening his mouth to speak. "Priya, I was hoping you were here." He said, stepping into the room.

"I already talked to Tony about using our personal history to make your feud with Lance more personal."

"Are you okay with it?"

"I'm fine with it. I'm actually going to play a bad guy for once in my career."

It was hard to keep up my emotionless persona, because inside my heart was crushing. I wanted to stay angry at him for what he did. I wanted to be vindictive; but that just wasn't me at all. Instead of saying anything else, I just walked out of the room and let the door close behind me so neither man would see the tears that were burning at the corners of my eyes.
