Sup citizens of . So today we go back to an old era lost to the knowledge of man…2010. As of now I'm publishing my first Brakayla fanfic!
So, a bit you need to know. 1. For this fic, Brady and Mikayla have been dating for a while ( maybe I'll have something prepared for a prequel). Also as I haven't finished the series this deviate slightly from the main timeline.
Anyway, I've successfully bored you with the intro, please enjoy!
Brady Parker couldn't believe his life. One year ago Boomer had sent him a letter saying that they had a triplet brother called Boz who had taken Brady's place as co-king. However, Boz's kinging abilities were…eh at best. So, since Boomer knew Brady better than anyone, naturally he knew that Brady was as stubborn as a mule, he knew that the only way Brady would ever come back to Kingkow was if he was forced to. This led to Boomer adopting a few '' Lanny tactics'' and had sent two guards to the pair's childhood apartment in Chicago to tell Brady that he had been summoned to the island of Kingkow under threat of death. Not one eager to end up on a pike in the middle of the village square, he came back.
Once there, the king was welcomed back with open arms, especially a pair that belonged to someone who had never left his mind; Mikayla Makoola. The young guard had then taken him back to the plaza where she had first pulled a practical joke on him with Mahuma.
Flashback
One year earlier:
'' I can't believe it.''
'' That with Boomer and Boz running this place it didn't end up like Mindu?''
Mikayla laughed. '' First off, yes. Second, when you first started out, you weren't exactly the King of legend.''
'' I did fine.''
'' Prom?''
'' Isolated incident.''
'' Bat medallion?''
'' same thing.''
'' I'm still amazed we aren't in a civil war'' Mikayla playfully sassed.
Brady snickered. How he had missed her. Sure she was drop dead gorgeous, but she also made him better, not just as a person but as a king. TO be honest, if it wasn't for her, he and Boomer would definitely have blown up the island. '' I missed this.''
'' Missed what?'' Mikayla asked, sitting on a low wall and motioning for him to join her.
'' Us.''
'' Excuse me? We never dated'' Mikayla answered, a sad smile on her face.
'' I know. I meant our friendship. You calling me out, beating me up and me screaming like a little girl everytime I saw a Waka-Waka bug'' Brady shuddered.
Mikayla blushed. '' Yeah, we had some good times. Too bad the only reason you came back was because Boz abdicated and Boomer threatened you with death.''
'' I don't know. There was another reason.''
'' And that would be?''
'' I'm looking at her.''
Mikayla giggled. '' That was probably the worst pickup line you've ever used Brady.''
'' Well can I try again?''
'' Sure. What could go wrong?'' Mikayla rolled her eyes sarcastically.
'' Alright. Here's a new one. What're you doing Friday night?''
'' Uhm, Brady. It is Friday night.''
'' Huh. Good point. So, what're you doing?''
'' Besides talking to you? Nothing.''
'' Well, do you want to go out?''
'' Where? Its past 9. The entire island's asleep.''
'' No-one said we had to go to a movie or anything. Care for a walk on the beach?''
'' Wait? Are you…asking me out?''
'' Guess so, yeah.''
'''Well. I waited this long, sure.''
'' Oh wow'' Brady said, falling backwards and feinting from shock.
'' Brady!'' Mikayla yelled, alerting Mason, Boz and Boomer to the scene.
'' What happened. Is my brother ok? Do I have to get the Shaman?'' Boz asked.
'' No. I said I'd go out with him and he feinted.''
'' That's it? Hold on'' Mason walked over to Brady's unconscious body, plucking a loose hair from his daughter's head.
'' Ow!'' Mikayla whined.
'' Relax'' Mason smiled, holding the hair strand over Brady's nose, immediately waking him up.
'' Mikayla will you marry me?!'' Brady said, shooting up.
Mikayla giggled. '' Easy Romeo, we haven't even been on a second date yet.''
'' Wait, this was a…first date?'' Brady asked, now on his feet.
'' She said yes?'' Boomer asked, slightly amazed.
'' In order, yes and yes'' Mikayla smiled, however that all changed when she saw the look Mason had on his face. '' Daddy, I swear, nothing happened.''
'' I believe you honey. Also, my king…'' Mason stared at Brady. '' If you ever hurt my daughter then this will happen'' Mason launched his trademark machete through a nearby vase.
'' You'll break a vase?'' Brady asked.
'' No. I'll launch my machete through your head and hang it on a pike in the village square.''
'' Noted-wait! We never did the whole dating ritual thing'' Brady realized, turning to Mikayla.
'' Well, we kinda did. You asked me out, someone got hurt, My dad was here, technically it got done'' Mikayla shrugged.
Brady beamed, this couldn't be happening.
End of flashback
'' Hey bro, you ready? The Shaman just got here and says since he's missing his nap for this he better get paid overtime'' Boomer said, breaking Brady out of his trance.
'' What the? Oh, hey Boom, yeah almost ready.''
'' Well, get ready. First rule of marriage, don't piss off the part-sasquatch bride.''
'' She's only a sixteenth sasquatch Boom.''
'' So? I don't want to be spending my brother's wedding night in an ICU.''
'' Why would you be in ICU?'' Brady asked, putting on the suit he was being forced to wear.
'' She'll berate you then come after me for not hustling you.''
'' Whatever dude. I'm just so psyched'' Brady said, as he followed Boomer down the stairs and into the throne room, where the rest of Brady's groomsmen were.
'' Finally, ugh, being good is a curse.''
'' Hey! Quit the cynicism bro. Its time for the monarchy to get bigger'' Oogie said, clapping his hands together.
'' Man, get your mind out of the gutter. I have a new sister'' Boz smiled.
'' Not for much longer!'' Boomer interrupted.
'' Why? Is she dying?'' Boz gasped.
'' No. But its Mikayla and she told me to make sure we were all on Shredder Beach before sunset. Now get!''
The groom as well as the other 3 groomsmen marched onto the beach, eager not to upset their king.
Aand. Scene. Look, I know this isn't exactly my best story but with writer's block I needed to start writing again. It gets better, I promise.
Until then, stay safe and stay awesome guys!
