Author's note: Hi guys :)! I apologize for the long wait because of my ongoing writer's block for my next and awesome new story, but it's finally here :)! This is actually one of my first ever crossover stories featuring some of my most favorite characters in gaming :). Hope you'll enjoy ^^.
Mafia Princess
Chapter 1: Swords Collide Between
Cloud and his friends were at an abandoned facility with the logo of Shinra. He was wearing a long coat with sleeves removed, a stainless steel pauldron with a wolf symbol. On his right shoulder, a large sword was shown. It didn't consist of a single blade. Rather, the sword had multiple blades forming a trapezoid shape.
"This is the place, Cloud?" A woman asked.
The woman in question was beautiful in appearance. She was wearing a black vest coat with matching shorts and boots. She had gloves on to her hands. Her name was Tifa Lockhart.
"It is. Those Shinra bastards always had secret projects hidden from others." A tall man gruffed.
The man in question was a tall, muscular person with dark skin. He was wearing a white puffy vest with green pants and brown boots. His hairstyle consists of cornrows. He had a large mechanical hand that was turned into a futuristic minigun. The man was Barret Wallace.
"It's always their problems they left behind that we have to clean up." Cloud said with disdain.
Barret laughed in response from hearing Cloud complain. Tifa pouted in response.
"Let's clean this up, guys. We have to head back to Edge." Tifa reminded.
The group nodded in response. They opened a door to see a container that held a mysterious substance. Cloud and his friends were not lowering their guard.
"Cloud, what is that?" Barret asked.
"I don't know... This wasn't anything I've seen from Shinra. They probably kept the details about it." Cloud answered.
"Shinra did mentioned they forgot about this project for over two decades due to no success. Makes the SOLDIER program look like a boy scout camp." Barret commented.
"We have to destroy this place. Shinra mentioned there's a section we can use to plant the bomb." Cloud said.
"Then let's get to business ASAP." Tifa said in response.
Making their way deep in the facility, the group found the section. Several reactors were shown.
"Figures they would want us to set the bomb here. Right near the core." Cloud mused.
Setting the bomb, Cloud activated it. A loud beeping was heard.
"We got 20 minutes before this place blows up! Let's get out of here!" Cloud announced.
The group wasted no time fleeing the facility. Before they could exit, a mysterious light suddenly engulfed them. Cloud and his group were blinded since it got too bright.
'What is this light?' They thought.
Unable to find answers, the group couldn't escape and were engulfed. In less than a minute, the group soon found themselves in a new location that they probably never seen before in their own lives. A blue, spiky hedgehog with white gloves and red shoes had appeared before the, along with a black and red spiky hedgehog with gold rings that's standing right near the group.
"Who are you?" Cloud demanded.
"My name is Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog," Sonic answered Cloud boldly. "And my name is Shadow the Hedgehog," Shadow replied back quietly.
"Where are we?" Tifa questioned to both Sonic and Shadow.
"You guys are in Planet Mobius, my homeland," Sonic answered towards Cloud, Tifa, and Barret.
"We were detonating a bomb way back in a Shinra building. But then a sudden bright light had already engulfed us and lead us here to your homeland." Cloud said.
"We need to go back to the Shinra building and complete our mission." Tifa said.
"Not now, Tifa. Maybe these new creatures can help us advance further in our journey," Barret said.
"Hmm.. ok. Fine, I trust you. We need to find our way back to Edge eventually." Tifa said.
"But maybe first, maybe Sonic and Shadow should assist us for our dangerous mission together. Remember, there's always strength in numbers when it comes to trouble," Cloud said.
"You guys can make yourselves at home when you head over to our place and rest. We can set up a plan for you guys for your official mission," Sonic said while smiling.
"I'll also be helping out too, for your mission. Just be aware of your plan for this mission," Shadow said.
"Ok, we trust you. Tifa, Barret, let's go," Cloud said, as he and his small team went on ahead to head to go over to Sonic and Shadow's home. Cloud's cell phone suddenly went off in less than a minute, and soon Cloud faced the screen with a look of shock upon his face.
"Uh-oh.. we need to hurry, really. Shinra isn't even kidding at this point." The words across Cloud's cell phone spell out 'SECRET WEAPON CONFIRMED FROM SHINRA' in big letters. Tifa, Barret, Sonic, and Shadow soon took notice of this as Cloud revealed the information.
"Looks like Shinra established themselves here." Cloud noted.
"But how? Surely they couldn't." Tifa pondered.
The group soon saw an egg shaped floating vehicle float near them. Sonic and Shadow immediatly looked aggressive.
"What do you want with us, doctor?" Shadow questioned.
"Of course you know- I want everything in order to take over this weak planet. I will not stop until my goals are completed," said Dr. Eggman in a grim voice. "Not if we can help it. You are going down, doctor." Sonic exclaimed.
"Looks like we're not alone in this business," Tifa said as she viewed Dr. Eggman.
"Is he also connected to Shinra's latest weapon?" Cloud said.
"No, I don't think so- Eggman is a one-man powerhouse," Sonic said.
"He did tried to take over the world with his failed project, the Eggman Empire," Shadow explained calmly.
"Well, he cannot keep up with his plans- he must be eliminated," Cloud said.
"He seems... dangerous. Cloud is right," Barret said.
"We need to help out both Sonic and Shadow and then stop Shinra later on. We got this, guys," Tifa said as she raised her fists.
"Tifa, step back. I can overcome him," Cloud called out as he pulled out his Buster Sword.
"Your efforts are too weak to handle," snarled Dr. Eggman as he soon transformed his vehicle into a quick range of flying bullets. It soon rained over the group, but thankfully Cloud blocked it off thanks to his sword.
"Guys! Over here!" Shadow shouted out as he quickly found a safe spot away from Eggman's attacks.
"Hmm.. you guys soon will be annihilated. Don't say that I didn't warn you at all," Dr. Eggman said eventually while he finally flew away from the chaotic scene.
"Thank heavens that he's gone," Sonic said as he and the rest of the team emerged from the field.
"Let's head over to your place, Sonic. We all have to take a break and relax before we can take down Shinra and any other foes," Tifa said.
"Perfect. Come on guys, let's go," Sonic said while he, Shadow and his new team made their way onto his haven, where another new day is about to begin.
