Family Picnic

*ONESHOT* Goku Decides to spend some quality time with his family after his return from the afterlife. He takes his family out for a family picnic. Some quality time together as a family.

Family Picnic

Goku dodged the attack from Gohan and was quickly turned round when he sensed Goten to attack him from behind the two boys went up against their dad. now that he was home from the afterlife, Goten and Gohan were spending as much time as they could with Goku. They had a lot of lost time to make up for. Goku missed so much between the two of them an he was just glad he was home, where he belonged. Gohan and Goten were quickly throwing punches at him as Goku dodged each one. He had grown much faster while in the last 7 years and Gohan could feel it. Goku thew a punch to Gohan's gut as he sent a wave of energy onto Goten who was blown off and landed on the ground below them.

'Oh I give up!' Goten huffed

'Yeah tell me about it, face it dad, we are no match to you' Gohan panted out of breath

'Oh don't sweat it guys, you both are doing great! But I think its best we take a break' Goku suggested

'Good idea, it's a nice day today, I say we do something fun' Goten suggested

'Like what?' Gohan asked

'Uhhhhh… I have no idea'

'well while we think about, let's head back to the house. See what your mother Is up to' Goku said as they headed back, from the distance, the boys could see chichi sweeping the doorway of their home, she wore a short purple skirt and a white blouse and her hair in a low ponytail, she felt all hot, sweaty and gross but to Goku she couldn't look more beautiful.

'You guys are back early' she greeted

'It's too hot. Plus we've been training for the past 4 days, I say we deserve a day off' Goku smiled and kissed his wife on the cheek

'Yeah so what shall we do?' Goten asked

'I don't know, mom any ideas?' Gohan asked

'Hmmmmmm….. well I don't know about you guys but we haven't been to the lake since your father came home. You know, the nice one with the waterfall'

'A swim is a good idea' Gohan asked

'I could even whip up a picnic too' Chichi suggested

'Now your talking!' Goten cheered

'Great, then let's get ready' Goku smiled

'better get the picnic ready then' Chichi grinned and got cooking and prepping'

…..

The picnic was set and they headed off, the boys flew further while Goku was holding onto his little wife tightly in his arms. It felt good to have her close to him after so long, 7 years was long time to be away from the woman you love. They finally arrived at the lake, it glistened beautifully under the sun's graze and the lake was looking calm and soothing, a perfect spot for a picnic.

'Wow so beautiful' Chichi smiled

'I forgot how calm this place was' Goku smiled

'WHOA!' The boys gasped in awe.

'I know right' Chichi giggled

'This place...It's…. it's' Gohan tried to find the words for it.

'outstanding isn't it' Goku muttered to him

'Yeah it is' Goten said slowly walking around.

'Funny, I'm starting to feel a lot happier now, and feelings I haven't felt before' Gohan said smiling like he was in love.

'It's this place, all this beauty and peace, makes you so tranquil and calm' Chichi said taking it all in in one big breath. 'It kinda let's out your inner peace and harmony'

'This place is almost too good to leave' Gohan smiled

'Well, we got a while to enjoy it then don't we?' Chichi said walking knee high into the water splashing her sons with the cold H2O from the shore.

'This is gonna be fun' Gohan said taking off his shirt ready to go swimming.

'Dad, you gonna come swimming?' Goten asked as the boys looked to their dad with big puppy dog eyes.

'I don't see why not!' Goku said.

'Alright everybody in!' Goten announced as they all ran in with Gohan and splashed each other like playful kids do. That whole time they went exploring their peaceful land, they swam, they climbed up the waterfall cliff looking below, they explored the little cove hidden beneath it and relaxed in the hot springs as well. None of them had even been more happy with each other than they were right at that spot.

'Hey guys watch this!' Goku called from atop the waterfall all his family looked up at him and he jumped over the edge did a few flips and spins and plucked into the water in a head first spin.

'Awesome dad' Goten applauded and whistled.

'look at these seashells I made into a headband' Chichi showed off her seashell headband putting it on her head.

'Thanks for suggesting us to come to this place Babe' Goku said plopping back up from the water.

'Yeah I've not been this relaxed for a long time' Gohan admits being pushed away by the water.

'I could stay here forever' Goten said resting into the grass once more.

'What's this place called again?' Gohan asked

'Ummm…..Uhhhh….. You know I don't remember' Goku answered

'We should give this place our own name, you know since we come here more than anyone' Goten said with a smile.

'What do you want to name it?' Gohan said sitting upright.

'Your mother should pick the name' Goku said.

'Me?' Chi asked.

'You suggested us to come here today, and I was a good call. I missed this place and its heaven each time we do come here. You should pick the name, you name it whatever you want' Goku said with a smile. He always though of his wife when they come to beautiful places like this. It was only right she name the place. Chichi looked into her husband's eyes and blushed

'Oh Goku, that's so nice of you' Chi said and sweetly kissed his cheek.

'This place should have a good name, something calm and relaxing' Goten said splashing in the water.

'So what's it gonna be mom?' Gohan asked as chichi thought about it and looked at her surroundings and smiled

'How about….Tranquil haven cove? that describes how this place makes us all feel' She said happily.

'I can see that, makes good sense' Goten said.

'Then it settled that's what we call this place' Chichi said happily.

'Wanna make it official?' Goku handed her a white leaf with a stick poked through it. Chichi giggled and took the flag.

'I hear by claim this place Tranquil haven cove' She stuck the flag stick in the ground as a flag to claim their land.

'Here, here!' The boys all chant and soon start laughing.

'OUCH!' Goten screamed the rest of then turned around.

'What happened son!?' Goku asked

'I cut my foot on a sharp stick or rock or something!' Goten held her arm out as blood dripped out.

'Can you stand up buddy?!' Gohan asked

'NO!' he snapped not even trying. 'I can't walk it hurts too bad!" he said holding it.

'Maybe you should soak your foot in the water sweetheart' Chichi suggested Goku picked up his son gently and set him at the edge of the ground.

'Now put your foot in see if that helps Goten' Goku said. Goten slowly dipped his big toe in and then all the way to his calf. The water was cool and refreshing

'Oh yeah that feels nice' Goten sighed happily slashing her foot around 'The cool/warm mix is really helping' he smiled. Just then the water started sparkling and shimmering like magic, it swirled around violets foot for a few seconds and then vanished and died down.

'What just happened?' Gohan asked.

'Hey my foot is all better, look no blood, no cut, no nothing' Goten held up her foot and wiggled his toes.

'This water must be magical to heal wounds' Gohan said

'Not just that this whole place has a magical sense to it, like you can just feel it' Chichi said looking into her beautiful surroundings as did the others.

'Well now that your wound is healed up, how bout a small spar bro?' Gohan asked as Goten grinned as they both got up to spar, While they did that and Goku coached the, chichi set up the picnic and set it all down on the ground, plenty of sandwiches, crisps, fruits, sweets, chicken bites and juices.

'Dodge it!' Goku shouted to Gohan who failed to do it and his little brother whacked a punch to his face'

'Damn it!' Gohan said

'Ha! I win!' Goten cheered

'Round two?' Gohan asked

'Not now! You can come eat first' chichi said as they did just that, all the food was gone within 15 minutes, but hey were happily stuffed up and happy, no one can cook like chichi could.

'So fancy another spar Gohan?' Goten asked

'Nah, I'm done for the day.'

'Okay dad, what about you?'

'Hmm, I don't know I could but I'm so relaxed here' Goku answered

'Oh go on, he wants a small spar' Chichi giggled

'Why don't you spar him?'

'Because I'm not you'

'Well why don't you two fight each other?' Gohan suggested as Goku and chichi looked at him

'We haven't done that for a long time' Goku answered

'I'd like to see that, I bet mom will win' Goten grinned

'You don't have faith in me Son?' Goku smirked

'No we just know how scared you are of mom' Gohan joked

'I am not scared of your mother!'

'Prove it!' they answered

'Your mother couldn't square up to me now' Goku said as Chichi looked at him

'Come on Goku, how bout we show them how its done' Chichi smirked

'honey I just don't think you can fight to my standards anymore' Goku said

'uhh ohh' the boys moved away from their parents

'And what is that supposed to mean?'

'Nothing you need to concern your pretty face with honey'

'You know Goku, Girls can be just as tough as Guys, especially sayien guys'

'Not really!' Goku argued

'I am!' Chi announced with her arms crossed. Goku paused and looked back at her

'Son Chichi, Are you challenging me?' Goku teased

'Maybe' She smirked

'No thanks I don't want to hurt you, or that pretty face of yours'

'Me and my pretty face will be just fine, you're just scared to lose to a girl'

'I'm not afraid of anything!' He states as chichi grins with a glare

'Then you won't mind proving me wrong and fight me! Will you…honey?'

'You're on!' we shake hands and walk off.

Chichi took one side throwing air punches and kicks and ducks. Goku on the other side with Goten rubbing his shoulders and getting him ready I just rolled my eyes at them. Gohan went over to her side with a bottle of water for her

'Mom are you sure you want to do this, Dad is pretty strong' He warns me.

'So am I!' she said take a glug of water 'Lets do this!' she smirked

Chichi Pov

I start to crack my neck and loosen up my body before walking to the middle with Goku.

'Last chance to back down, I don't want to hurt you Chi' He says, I glared hard

'You just worry about keeping that face of yours un-bruised babe' I smirked. There was a slight stand off pause before the Goten made a bell noise, me and Goku began circling one another before he threw a punch and I ducked I threw a punch too and he blocked it. There was a second short pause before he punched me right in my side I hunched in pain but stayed on my feet, taking the advantage he went for my other side and I fell to my knees in pain.

'Pull through Mom break him down!' Gohan yelled. Goku was smirking believing he was gonna win but I was about to cause him to think again, I gave him a jolt to the kneecap and he fell in pain, Giving me the chance to jump to my feet, slowly. He got to his feet too and I delivered him a clear blow to the stomach he almost hurled up his lunch but swallowed it back down.

'I admit you're impressing me Chichi' He said

'Sweet talk won't get me off guard Goku' I tell him

'No...but this will!' He pulled me to the ground and wrestled on top of me. He went for my face but all I could do was duck left and right and up and down. I grabbed his arm when he hit it against the floor, pushed my leg against his stomach and flipped him over and tossed him to the side. I flipped myself up and he backed against the side boulder and propelled himself towards me I moved and punch his face as he came by he went down skidded and shot right over the floor. Goten made a bell sound to confirm I won.

'We Have a winner!' Gohan cheered as I jumped in happiness. Goku got up and looked at me in shock.

'you win' He said softly

'Yes I did, looks like my pretty face beat you with no sweat, take your beating like a big boy!' I offered my hand out to pull him put, he accepted it, but then he smirked then pulled me down to the ground to making me squeal, before I could say anything he had kissed me sweetly on the lips as a 'Well done' Gift, I found myself blushing because I always loved it when he did that stuff. Goku looked at me lovingly as I did and we both got to our feet. He lifted me off the ground and twirled me around making me laugh and giggle.

'Chichi that was awesome! You are amazing!'

'You're not mad I beat you?' I asked

'Of course not, I'm proud of you' He said kissing me sweetly

'Thank you, it felt good to spar with you again' I giggled

'So you want to try and practice more?' He asked

No Pov

'I'm good, but I think we've over welcomed our stay here, let's pack up boys'

'I really wish we could stay here forever!' Goten sighed with joy.

'Me too!' Gohan agreed 'I just never want this day to end!' Goku sighed

'I know, but its getting dark and I got dinner to make. So let's get home' Chichi said

'Before we do let's just take another second taking this all in' Gohan said, they all slowly walked taking in their perfect tranquil environment as long as they could.

'Farewell Tranquil haven cove' Goten sighed.

'Maybe we shall return someday soon' Gohan said

'Yeah we can, on another beautiful day like this has been. I'm so glad we did this today boys' Chichi sighed as Goku wrapped an arm around His wife and smiled

'Its been a good day, and I'm glad e did it feels good to be back with you, our kids, our family' Goku said kissing her forehead.

'We're glad to have you home dad' Goten smiled

'Yeah, all 4 of us back together' Gohan agreed

Yeah, and I'm not going anywhere, this is where I want to be'

'And we're happy to have you Goku. Welcome home' Chichi pressed her lips to her husband's as the boys joining in the hug. It was a good day, a happy day, and there were plenty more to follow.
