I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
3rd POV
It was the week after the 2nd Giant war and tensions were rising between the Greeks and the Romans again. Everyone thought that when the Athena Parthenos was delivered, the rivalry would end. But it seems that quite the opposite has happened.
Because of this, the Gods decided to hold a meeting in regards to this problem. It was chaos. Nobody had any ideas and it just devolved to arguments. Hestia sat there silently and thought about the problem. She was thinking about how Hera went about uniting the camps in the 1st place. Her face lit up with an idea.
"SILENCE!" She screamed. Everyone shut up quickly. Hestia could be really scary when she wanted to be.
"Yes Hestia?" Poseidon asked.
"How did Hera get that campers together in the 1st place?"
"I swapped leaders. How does that solve anything?" Hera responded.
Aphrodite seemed to catch on. "You want to do something with Percy and Jason?" She asked.
Or Maybe she didn't.
"Not Jason, he's not a leader there anymore. Not really. I mean Reyna." Hestia said slowly.
"What are you gonna do with them?" Poseidon asked. "What can we do with them that will fix this?"
"I have a permanent solution. What do 2 sides do to ensure peace between the 2 sides?" Hestia responded to the sea god.
Hera felt a tingle in her domains. She suddenly felt like she knew what her sister was talking about. "You want to do an arranged marriage?!" She asked in disbelief.
"Yes I do." Hestia responded calmly.
"Votes everyone?" Zeus asked in a surprisingly calm voice.
Everyone voted yes except for Athena, Ares, and Dionysus.
"We can't marry them, the sea scum is dating my daughter!" Athena screeched.
"No he's not. They broke up after Tartarus, do you even look after your child, Athena?" Poseidon asked. Aphrodite nodded in agreement.
Athena looked shocked. "I agree then."
"Alright, we will tell them at the rewards ceremony when Leo gets back from Ogygia." Zeus said.
Reward ceremony
The demigods walked into the throne room. Leo with an arm covered in bruises. Everyone had formed a line and punched him in the arm.
"Demigods!" Zeus boomed. "We are here to reward you for your efforts in the war. To start off with everyone here but the 7, Reyna, and Nico gets partial immortality."
Suddenly everyone but the 9 called glowed the colors of their godly parent.
"Now for the rest. You have been offered godhood! And it is none negotiable, Percy." Zeus said looking pointedly at Percy for the last part.
The ones receiving godhood glowed brighter than the ones who received partial immortality. Oh, and they screamed. Loudly. Turns out having your blood turned into ichor hurts a lot.
The Fates flashed in. The gods were in surprise. The Fates only showed up for Olympian domains. "Relax Olympians. They aren't all being made Olympians." The Fates said in sync.
"1st things 1st. We are adding Hades as the 13th olympian and Hestia as the 14th Olympian." The Fates said.
2 thrones rose from the ground. 1 made of styling iron with gems imbedded in it. The other was made entirely of wood and was alight with comforting flames.
The Fates sent Percy a wink and came close to his ear. "Consider it payment for the fate we wove for you." The went back to the center of the room.
"Jason Grace. God of Lightning storms. Piper McLean. Goddess of Charmspeaking. Annabeth Chase. Goddess of Architecture. Frank Zhang. God of Shape-shifting. Hazel Levesque. Goddess of precious metals. Leo Valdez, God of Machine parts. Nico Di Angelo. God of The Shadows. Reyna RamÃrez-Arellano. Goddess of Battle and Loyalty. Patron of The Romans. The 16th Olympian. Percy Jackson. God of Tides and Loyalty. Patron of The Greeks. The 15th Olympian."
The new gods were in shock. Percy and Reyna were Olympians and shared a domain. But apparently the Fates weren't done.
"We also pronounce Percy and Reyna, Husband and Wife." The Fates said with mischief shining in their eyes. They then proceeded to flash out.
The new gods eyes widened in shock. But none more than the newly married couple.
"WHAT?!" They both screamed in shock. "WHY ARE WE MARRIED?!"
Athena was the one to respond. "We needed a way to ensure peace between camps and what better way than an arranged marriage between the leaders of the camps?"
"What, so now we're stuck in a loveless marriage?" Percy asked.
"You might fall in love with each other." Hera said.
"Are we even leaders anymore, we're gods now, and Olympians at that?" Reyna asked.
"Kinda. You are Patrons of Rome and Greece respectively. Therefore you are representations of Rome and Greece. Marriage between you ensures peace between camps." Athena explained.
"You both got lucky too. Being Patrons of your domain means you already are trained in your abilities and don't need training." Apollo said. Artemis then smacked him on the head.
"Anyways, we'll leave you to get used to this marriage and your shared palace. It's next to Hestia's." Zeus said effectively ending the meeting. All the gods except Hephastus flashed out leaving him with the new Olympians and gods.
Hephastus came hobbling over to the newlyweds. "I need to make your thrones, what do you two have in mind?"
Percy was the 1st to respond. "A blue throne with green mixed in resembling tides."
"A throne made of swords, daggers, and other weapons. But if it could be made into something comfortable to sit on." Reyna said after thinking for a minute.
"Should be done by the next meeting." Hephastus grunted in reply to their requests and flashed out.
Percy and Reyna walked out of the throne room. While they knew how to flash to places, 17 years of walking doesn't go away in an instant. They walked in awkward silence, neither knowing what to say in response to what just happened. They silently made their way to their palace.
It's been 3 weeks since the reward ceremony and things are a little better. They couldn't say they loved each other, but they weren't miserable in this predicament. They now slept in the same room but in different beds. When they arrived right after the ceremony, there was a note explaining much more than they wanted to know.
Hello Percy and Reyna,
Welcome to your new home, in here you can find a game room, weapon room, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, and other things.
In the nightstands you will find condoms. Having sex without protection WILL result in pregnancy as gods and goddesses are EXTREMELY fertile. Pregnancies only last 2 weeks, but we don't want to see any little ones around so soon.
Your favorite cousins, Apollo and Hermes.
Needless to say they asked Hestia for some fire and burned the note. They decided to sleep in different rooms until they got comfortable being with the other person. Which brings us to now.
They are like 2 people who have just begun dating. Stealing kisses, awkward around each other and keep embarrassing themselves in front of each other.
Despite this, they decided to visit Percy's mom to tell her about the marriage and whatnot.
And that is where we find ourselves right now. In front of Sally Jackson's apartment door. Percy nervous about the coming conversations.
Reyna wacked him on the head. "Grow a pair and knock." He knocked.
Sally, having not seeing her son for over a year was understandably in tears upon opening the door and seeing her son. Had he not been immortal, she would have squeezed the life out if him with the hug she gave him. She broke the hug and looked at the young lady next to him. "Who is this, Percy?" She asked.
"Can we come in 1st? We have a lot to explain." He responded.
After situating themselves on the couch, Percy started with how he was kidnapped, moved to the attack on Camp Jupiter, glossed over Tartarus, and finished with the reward ceremony.
Sally got up and hugged her son once more and brought Reyna into the hug. "I know this is weird, but... when am I getting grandkids?"
"MOM!" Percy yelled in embarrassment. "I'm joking. But I want grandkids before I die."
"That's another reason we came here. I would like to make you and Paul partially immortal. I can't stand the thought of losing you both." Percy said.
"How would you do that?" Sally asked.
"Like Artemis and her hunters, all gods can give partial immortality if the person receiving it swears to one of the god's domains. Ergo, we could make you and Paul partial immortality if you swear to be loyal to each other."
They proceed with the oath when Paul comes back from teaching at Goode.
Years pass. Percy and Reyna arrange an actual wedding and get married in their eyes. They have twins, 2 girls. Hylla and Sally. Named after Reyna's sister and Percy's Mother. Hylla has they domain of weapons and Sally has the domain of baking.
Percy and Reyna were laying in their bed cuddling, when Reyna speaks up. "You know, I'm really glad for that arranged marriage."
Percy responds tiredly. "Definitely, even if it was only to end a rivalry."
