Hey guys and girls.

What a strange year right?

The threat of the Covid-19 virus has swallowed the world in darkness. But I do believe we will see the light again. Same way the light of my newborn daughter has brought my family.

Please people. I am begging you. Follow the rules set out. Distance yourself from other people. 1 meter space between each other in public. Wash your hands and wear a mask when outside in public. Let's all do our part to prevent and slow down the spread of Covid-19. At least until we can get a cure.

But anyway.

Welcome to a new fanfic made by me. So this one will be taking place in Fairy Tail. But then it got me thinking. I've enjoyed playing Magic The Gathering. And began thinking. What type of power should I give Naruto? Tamer? No. Celestial Magic? No. Dragon Slayer?

Sure. But you've seen it all. But with my love for Magic: The Gathering and Fairy Tail and Naruto brought this fanfic to life.

(Speaking of MTG – Which stands for Magic: The Gathering for those out there – Building decks and then kicking opponents asses is hella fun. The game teaches you 2 strategies in life. Manage what you have and accept things when they go against you. Unless you know you are assured a victory.)

PLEASE READ!

Some fun trivial news for you. The cover for this fanfic? That dragon, is Nicol Bolas himself. The Elder Dragon turned Planeswalker and the most dangerous of all Planeswalkers in all of MTG. He can give Saitama a good Wappin and still have enough power to go give someone else them hands.

Don't believe me? Go on to YouTube and watch the War of the Spark Trailer from Magic: The Gathering. Saitama wouldn't stand a chance.

Reason why I say this? Bolas has literally changed the thoughts of powerful gods into believing that he is the one true god. That's saying something.

Oh yeah and Bolas' current age is kinda unknown but he has been around since the dawn of life in the Magic: The Gathering universe. So we can assume he is over 20 000 years old.

Chapter 1: Cloaked In Mystery.

The land of Ishgar is one of Magic. People who could use Magic in every form mingled with one another and many practiced their power by taking on missions that needed their particular expertise.

Many had special Magic types. For instance. One could change weaponry and armor during a fight offering better chances of surviving. While some went for nuking opponents with ease and calling it a day.

But for one person. His tale. Was one of darkness.

"Yo Naru. Looks like we made it. Fiore." came a voice snapping the individual walking down the road being followed by a small fox with blood red fur and nine red fluffy tails.

The black hooded individual turned his covered head to the fluffy animal walking with him. His deep blue eyes glowed behind the shadow of the hood. Disdained, he turned his head back to the road before him.

"We're here to make a new life. Nothing more." barked the man.

"Still Naru. You've been through a lot. And I understand your reasoning behind wanting to have a fresh start. With the whole...incident." said the fluff ball only for the man to grab the fox and scold him.

"Never refer to that again. I left to regain what sense of dignity I had. He only wanted me as a puppet." growled the young adult.

"Whatever the reason... I chose to leave with you. After all, I am your friend and helper." said the fox.

There was only one destination in mind. Either a bar, inn or a guild that was willing to take him in which would help keep the pressure off him for a while.

He was on the run after all. He couldn't bring attention to himself and would never let something get in his wa-

"Look out!" came the cry of a driver moving at speeds, not even looking where he was going, nearing an oblivious child walking past.

Thinking quick, he dashed, using the power his once master taught him. Speed that rivaled a falling star at his heels, he zoomed with such strength that is set the ground slightly ablaze and left a small trench he grabbed the child and skidded to a halt on the other side of the road.

With the speed he moved at, the wind pulled his hood down revealing sun kissed blonde hair and three whisker marks on each cheek. The mother of the child soon came out the store she was in and thanked him for saving her child.

Deciding to get out of sight before he could be asked questions, he snuck into an alleyway, but in his absent-mindedness, he was followed by a woman who had silver white hair and piercing blue eyes.

Leaning against the wall, the man known as Naruto breathed harshly. He knew that his power would draw attention which then drew in questions. He couldn't have that right now. He had been keeping low for 3 months since he ran away. But it seemed that every now and then, he'd slip up. He heard of the stories from many of the bars he visited to drown his problems out.

Even a few brothels if he couldn't find a bar. The drink was nice and sometimes, the company. Beggers can't be choosers now can they.

His pet fox followed him into the alley.

"Damn Naru. Never thought you'd use that power. But then again, you did have a few slip ups now and then." chirped the fox.

"Shut it Kurama." barked Naruto glarring at the fox. "I never planned it. Sure I made a cheap knock off of it, but the true form is always alluring."

"Right." sneered Kurama. "The Deathslinger himself can't stand the sight of a child in danger. Even going so far as to use the Magic he swore to never use."

Not taking the fox's mockery any further, Naruto pulled out a pistol that he crafted himself and aimed it at the fox. A black and purple pistol with a crystal in the back part of the slide. One of two weapons ever to be created and carry the firepower of a star exploding when taken off all 9 restrictions.

"I knew it." came a voice stopping Naruto from shooting Kurama.

Both turned to the voice that came from the entrance of the alley. Finding a woman with long white hair and an amazing figure to boot, Naruto stared at the woman.

"Who are you?" asked Naruto intently while shifting the pistol to be pointed at her.

"The legendary Deathslinger. A man who is a one man army. The one who has power rivaling that of an Elder Dragon. The one said to make even the Devil himself shiver at the mention of his name. The one-"

"Stop right there." growled Naruto with the crystal glowing a warm purple. "One more word and I blow your brains out."

"I'm sorry." chirped the woman before calming down and giving a bow. "My name is Mirajane Strauss. I'm a model and also the face of the Fairy Tail guild."

"And you are?"

"Get me a drink and I'll tell ya." chirped Naruto to which she nodded to while he holstered the pistol.

A few minutes later.

Drinking down the cold beverage, Naruto called for a refill while Mirajane looked on with such awe as the fox sat on the table next to Naruto.

"How are you not drunk after having 20 of those?" asked Mirajane in awe.

"I can hold my liquor I hope you know." chirped Naruto with the barmaid giving him a new one.

"So anyway. Can you tell me your name now?" asked Mirajane leaning in on the table.

"Naruto. And I don't want anyone else knowing all about me." growled Naruto glaring at her.

"I know. I understand." said Mirajane only to feel a pistol pushed to her gut from under the table.

"Listen good." snarled Naruto funneling power into the crystal, priming it to fire. "No one must ever learn of my nickname. If anyone ever learns of it, I will silence you. And anyone you ever told. I want to just stay in silence. And live a life of simplicity and peace."

Retracting his power from the crystal, he holstered the weapon again and drank his beer again.

"Naru has always been like this ever since that day. All he wants is to be free. He never had that." said Kurama with Mirajane gaining an idea.

"Why not join Fairy Tail?" she said making Naruto stop drinking and looking to her as if she said that she was a god.

"Think about it. If you hide your true power from everyone and only use your weapons, you'll hide fairly easily. I mean, the best way to hide a secret is in plain sight."

"You expect me, to join a guild to keep myself from being discovered?" growled Naruto with Mirajane nodding.

"Naru. This could be a good idea for us. We can take on missions and keep our heads low. At least until you've figured out a plan." said Kurama taking Mirajane's side in the whole thing.

Thinking for a bit, Naruto looked to the white haired woman. Extending a hand, she shook it.

"Deal. But I stick to what I said." he growled.

"I can live with that. I will take your secret to the grave." she vowed.

And scene.

So Naruto is known as the Deathslinger. A powerful individual whose own power rivals that of an Elder Dragon.

But it seems like Naruto has been on the run. Doing what he can to ensure he isn't caught. He also seems to get very upset whenever Kurama mentions key things from his past.

All will be revealed later on in chapters to come. And trust me. These are going to get good.
