Ash, Pikachu, Chloe, Eevee, Goh, Cinderace, Drizzile, and Grookey are at the Cerise Labratory doing some research on some files about Pokémon, Ash's Rotom Phone beeps, he looks at the screen and sees he will be facing Violet in the World Coronation Series tommorow, he sees that he will be battling Lucius, whose rank is at 44, as well in the World Coronation Series after Violet that same day. Ash wonders what are Lucius and Violet doing in the Pokémon World, Chloe and Goh ask who is Lucius, Ash tells him he's a friend of the Parrs. Chloe asks who are the Parrs Ash and Goh tell her they're a family who are really friendly.
Bob, Dash, Helen, Jack-Jack, Lucius, and Violet are at their home in Pallet Town, Violet and Luicius get notifications on their Rotom Phones and see they will be battling Ash in the World Coronation Series tomorrow respectively. The next day Ash, Pikachu, Chloe, Eevee, Goh, and His Pokémon arrive at the Battle Stadium in Viridian City, the Parrs and Lucius arrive, the Parrs are happy to see Ash, Pikachu, Goh, and His Pokémon again, Goh tells the Parrs Sobble has evolved into Drizzile, they look in amazement. Chloe and Eevee introduce themselves to the Parrs, they introduce themselves back. Chloe and Goh introduce themselves to Lucius and he introduces himself back, Chloe shows the Parrs and Lucius her Rotom Phone, they ask her where did she get hers from she tells them from her dad who is a Pokémon Professor, they find that interesting, Ash and Goh tell the Parrs and Lucius their Rotom Phones came from the same place as Chloe's. The Parrs tell Ash, Goh, and Chloe they're staying at a place in the Kanto Region until the ending of the current World Coronation Series season, Ash tells Lucius and Violet he sees that they entered the World Coronation Series and made it all the way into the Ultra Class as well, they tell him he's in the same class as them. Goh sends out Arcotzolt, the Parrs and Lucius are impressed by Arctozolt.
Ash, Pikachu, Chloe, Eevee, Goh, His Pokémon, the Parrs, and Lucius enter the Battle Stadium. Ash, Pikachu, and Violet get onto the battlefield, Bob, Chloe, Eevee, Dash, Goh, His Pokémon, Helen, Jack-Jack, and Lucius go on the bleachers with the audience. Drone Rotom appears and says it's time for a World Coronation Series Ultra Class battle and says the battle will be a 3v3, Drone Rotom says Trainers can switch out their Pokémon at any time and mentions that when Pokémon on either side are unable to battle to the Trainer on the opposing side wins, Drone Rotom tells Ash and Violet to send out their Pokémon, Ash chooses Pikachu and Violet sends out Alakazam, Drone Rotom lets the battle begin.
Ash tells Pikachu to use Iron Tail, Violet tells Alakazam to dodge and use Psychic, it lands a hit on Pikachu and he is tossed all over the place telepathically. The Battle Narrator comments on how tricky Alakazam is. Goh and Chloe are surprised at how skilled Violet is, Bob, Dash, Helen, and Lucius tell them she has learned many strategies from the battles she had. Ash calls Pikachu back and sends out Dragonite, The Battle Narrator says Ash's second pick is Dragonite. Ash tells Dragonite to use Dragon Dance, Bob, Chloe, Dash, Goh, Helen, and Lucius note that Dragonite's speed and attack will be boosted. Ash tells Dragonite to use Hurricane, it lands a direct hit on Alakazam defeating it. Drone Rotom declares Alakazam unable to battle, making Dragonite the winner, the crowd cheers, Violet recalls Alakazam and says it battled well. The Battle Narrator says Violet is the first to lose a Pokémon. Violet sends out Gardevoir, the Battle Narrator says Violet's second pick is Gardevoir, Ash recalls Dragonite and sends out Dracovish, the Battle Narrator says Ash's third pick is Dracovish, Ash tells Dracovish to use Water Gun it lands a direct hit on Gardevoir, Violet tells Gardevoir to use Icy Wind, Ash tells Dracovish to dodge and use Ice Fang, Violet tells Gardevoir to dodge, she recalls Gardevoir and sends out Galarian Slowking, the Battle Narrator says Violet's third pick is a Slowking native in the Galar Region. Ash asks what kind of Pokémon is that, Violet tells him it's a Galarian Slowking, Goh takes out his Rotom Phone to scan Slowking and it gives him a Pokédex entry description for it. Ash tells Dracovish to use Fishious Rend, Dracovish bites on Slowking's head, Violet tells Slowking to shoot out liquid from it's head, it does that, it shoots liquid right in Dracovish's mouth, poising it. The Battle Narrator notes on Slowking shot poison directly in Dracovish's mouth. Violet tells Slowking to use Eerie Spell, which lands a direct hit defeating Dracovish.
Chloe and Goh are shocked and amazed at Violet's strategy, Bob, Dash, Helen, and Lucius sense a tough battle. Drone Rotom declares Dracovish unable to battle, making Slowking the winner, the crowd cheers. Ash recalls Dracovish and says it battled well. The Battle Narrator says Ash and Violet are both down to two Pokémon each. Ash sends Dragonite back out. Ash tells Dragonite to use Dragon Dance and then Hurricane, it lands a direct hit on Slowking defeating it. Drone Rotom declares Slowking unable to battle, making Dragonite the winner, the crowd cheers. Violet recalls Slowking and says it battled well. The Battle Narrator Says Violet has only one Pokémon remaining. Violet sends Garedevoir back out, she tells it to use Dazzling Gleam and Draining Kiss it lands a direct hit on Dragonite defeating it. Drone Rotom declares Dragonite unable to battle making Gardevoir the winner, the crowd cheers. Ash recalls Dragonite and says it battled well. The Battle Narrator Says Ash has only one Pokémon remaining. Ash lets Pikachu battle again, Ash tells Pikachu to use Iron Tail, Violet tells Gardevoir to doge and use Draining Kiss, Ash tells Pikachu to dodge, Ash pulls out his Z-Power Ring and Pikashunium-Z, everyone becomes shocked. The Battle Narrator says it looks like Ash is choosing to use a Z-Move.
Ash puts on the Z-Power Ring and Z-Crystal on the ring, Ash throws his hat to Pikachu who puts it on. Ash has Pikachu use 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt, it defeats Gardevoir, Chloe is in awe at seeing a Z-Move for the first time, the Parrs and Lucius find it fantastic Ash can use Z-Moves. Drone Rotom declares Gardevoir unable to battle making Pikachu winner, which means the match goes to Ash, the crowd cheers. Violet recalls Gardevoir and says it battled well, Ash thanks Pikachu for his hard work. Ash tells Violet that was an amazing battle, she agrees. Drone Rotom says Ash's World Coronation Series ranking will be updated his rank goes from 64 to 52. The group are at the Pokémon center Ash is healing his Pokémon, Nurse Joy tells him his Pokémon are back to full health, Violet heals her Pokémon too and Nurse Joy also tells her, they are back to full health.
The Parrs tell Ash, Chloe, and Goh they traveled to Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos meaning they've been to every region. Lucius tells Ash, Chloe, and Goh he's been to Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Galar meaning he's been to every region too, Ash, Goh, Chloe are impressed. The group exit the Pokémon center, they see Evelyn, Chloe asks who is this, Evelyn introduces herself and Chloe introduces herself back.
