Don't You Think I Feel The Same Way About You ?:

Danny Cardigan was glad not to have a class for a change, & he was on vacation from school. Plus, It was nice to be around his father, Cosmos Agent & PI Jake Cardigan, & to take care of him for a change. The Young Man realized that his dad has been through hell, since he was paroled from the Cryo Prison, & his life changed forever. He will make sure that his father will get the happiness that is due to him. He has an idea of how to make it happen for him.
Sam Houston in the meantime, couldn't stop thinking of her partner, friend, & secret crush. She could've lost him through the hellish experience that he was suffering in silence. "God, Please let Jake have his peace", she thought to herself, as she begged, & The Beautiful Former Cop was trying to focus on paperwork, but found that she couldn't. She was so worried about Jake, & the current condition that he was in, She was snapped back to the present, When her vidphone rang.
"Hi, Sam, I was wondering if you can meet me for lunch ?", Danny asked, while he was online. "Is everything okay, Dan ?", She asked, as she was in fight mode. "Yeah, Everything is fine, There is something that we need to talk about", He said reassuring her. "I will meet you at our usual spot at 1:00". They hung up at the same time, She refocused on the paperwork. Then, She got ready, & hurried to meet Danny at their desired destination.
He was there promptly, as soon as she arrived. "Hi, Sam", The Young Man says with a smile, as they exchanged kisses on the cheek, & hugs. He had their lunches ready, & warmed up. "What's up ?", The Former Detective asked with curiosity. "I want you to tell me something, I want the truth", He said, as they dug into their lunches. She nodded, & said, "I will try". "Are you in love with my dad ?, I saw how you reacted when he was unknowingly being held a hostage", She slowly nodded her head. Danny was happy, & smiling as a response to the confession, & told her this.
"This is great, Why didn't you say anything to him ?", She was silent, & then said this to him. "What if he doesn't feel the same way ?", She asked fearfully of rejection. "You won't know, If you don't take the risk", He advised, Sam realized that he was right. She had a plan in mind, & filled him in on it, "I think it's a great idea", Danny said, as he nodded with approval. She will ask Jake out when he comes into Cosmos Agency the next day.
Jake came to deliver his report, while he was on his time off. Sam decided to be bold, & make her move. "Jake, I was wondering if you would like to come over for dinner, I will make Italian, Tonight if you are free ?", The Rugged Man smiled his trademark smile, & said, "I would love to, 7:30, Okay ?", She felt better, & her insecurities, & fears went away. "It's perfect", & they went on their separate ways. Sam hurried to the nearby market, so she can get what she needed for the dinner, she was planning on making for the two of them.
Jake came on time, & looking good in his dark dress pants, & matching button down shirt. Sam let him in, & kissed him lightly on the cheek, "Come in", She said, as she motioned him in. They went into the dining room, Jake made sure that she was seated, before he was in. They had the wonderful prepared meal, & talked about nothing in particular. The dinner, & dessert that consists of cookies, & coffee hits the spot.
Jake puts on some slow music, & went to Sam with a hand out, "Care to dance with me ?", She nodded, & gave a shy smile as a response. They went into the living room, & danced closely together, as they relaxed with each other. "Jake, There is something that I have to tell you", The Hunky Man nodded, & said encouragingly, "Go ahead", as he gave her his full attention.
"I have fallen in love with you, & had been for awhile, Also, I had the biggest crush on you too", She said, as she made the biggest confession of her life. He froze up, & she said, "I am sorry, I know you don't feel the same way". She made her move to get away from him, But, He had a hand on her arm, "Who says that I don't, Don't you think I feel the same way about you ?", He crashed his lips against hers. It was such a kiss, that they fell on to the couch, & spent the rest of their time making out.
