More romantic, sweet Loki :)

Ek elska means "my love" in Old Norse. Ek verr means "my husband"

Lynnéa felt confused as someone tried to wake her from her sleep. She blinked hard, rubbing her eyes.

"Wake up, darling," Loki whispered, stroking her.

She had to admit – waking up to that voice was wonderful in any circumstance. But still. As she opened her eyes, the room was still very dark.

"Loki, is something wrong?" She sat up.

"No, Lynnéa. I have a surprise for you – I promise you'll love it."

He started to get off the bed, and so she did too. She was still puzzled, but couldn't help but smile at how excited he sounded. Now he had her eager.

"What is it?" Lynnéa walked to meet Loki at the end of their bed. She wrapped her arms around herself as the room was chilly and she and Loki always slept in the nude. Loki insisted that between him holding her and an endless supply of blankets she never had to worry about being cold at night, therefore she didn't need to wear anything to bed. He wanted complete access to her body always.

When she was in front of him, he only turned her around to face away from him.

"You'll need this, ek elska," He murmured as he placed a warm robe around her, her neck and shoulders embraced by the softest, most luxurious fur trim. They'd been married a few months now, and she didn't even know she had something like this in her wardrobe.

"Thank you," She felt herself blush has his hands ran down her arms, making her feel safe. He kissed the sensitive spot underneath her ear, and a shiver instantly went through her body.

She turned around. Her eyes were now adjusted to the slight light in the room. She could just make out that Loki was wearing plain trousers and a jacket that was simple yet so handsome on him.

"I think you're taking me outside?" Lynnéa asked.

Loki only smiled, and started leading her toward the balcony. He opened the curtains, and there was one torch lit. It perfectly illuminated the snow that was gently falling from the sky.

Lynnéa gasped, her heart racing as her hands covered her mouth in shock. It was absolutely enchanting. The large clusters of flakes fell slowly – the most beautiful kind of snow fall.

"This is amazing," Lynnéa breathed as she walked further out onto the balcony. She wanted to feel the snow. And for a moment, she was back home on Earth in Colorado where she was from. It snowed so much there and she had loved it so much. Tears formed in her eyes.

Loki was mesmerized by Lynnéa as she gazed up at the sky, surrounded by the snow. For a fleeting second, he was on his throne in Jotunheim as king and Lynnéa reined as his ice queen. It was a lovely thought.

Lynnéa's back was still toward him, but suddenly he saw one of her small hands come up to her face. Almost as if she was wiping a tear. She sniffled.

"Hey, hey," Loki quickly strode to her, turning her to face him. He took her face into his strong hands, his thumb gently sweeping under her eye. "Shhh, don't cry sweetheart." He kissed her forehead as she sniffled again, her chest and throat tightening as her lungs tried to take in air through the emotion. "What is making my princess sad? Tell me please, so I can help." Loki pleaded.

"I'm not sad, ek verr. I promise," She fingered his jacket at his chest and looked up at him. "Truly, this is the best surprise," She paused, turning to look at Asgard – lit up with plenty of lights despite the early hour. She looked up again. "It's like the snow at home. And in Norway. It's the first thing in Asgard that has been the exact same as something from home."

"You're homesick," Loki concluded, making sure the collar of robe was secure around her. He would not let her get uncomfortably cold.

"Only a little, I promise my love," Lynnéa insisted passionately. "I've been so happy on Asgard since we've been married. You're my home now, Loki. You must know that." Her eyes pleaded with him to be assured of her words.

He brought his head down to touch hers.

"As you are my home, ek elska," He wrapped his arms tightly around her. "You know you can visit Earth. All I ask is that you tell me."

Lynnéa was touched. Loki truly loved her and she wanted for nothing.

"Thank you," She whispered, tipping her head up to kiss his lips. Her stomach flipped a little when Loki's tongue entered her mouth, lovingly coaxing her own. "Mmm," She couldn't keep the moan from within her from escaping. How easily he made her melt, ready to yield and obey his every desire.

He pulled back, now smiling at wonderful smile.

"So," He looked at the snow. "You like it, I take it."

Lynnéa laughed, wiping another tear that slipped out.

"Yes, Loki, I love it," She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you for waking me to up to show me this."

"You're very welcome," He cooed, kissing her once more.

Soon, he had Lynnéa enveloped in his arms on the chaise couch. A canopy covered them and a fire was going so that they could enjoy the snow until the sun rose.

"It's only rained a couple of times since I've been here," Lynnéa mentioned suddenly.

"Do you like the rain, as well?" Loki asked.

"I do," Lynnéa smiled.

"Well, I think I know a guy who can control that kind of weather," Loki mocked reluctance. "Perhaps if I ask very nicely," Lynnéa laughed out loud, to Loki's delight. "Then perhaps he could provide a good storm for us enjoy. Would my princess enjoy that?" He smiled, telling her with his eyes that he would give her anything that she asked.

She bit her lip as she nodded. Loki chuckled as he tucked her head under his chin.

Whatever forces brought he and his love together he knew not what it is, but he was more grateful than he could say. He would protect her and love her everyday, giving her everything in his power that she could possibly want.
